new mc drop. they are star elf descendant of hades. goddess of worship is nyx though i almost went with tartarus or thanatos. their name is halaos. death powers aside, i want to focus on Hades the Dutiful and Guarded aspects, the god of wealth parts, rather than creepy evil death dude [though i did want a necromancer]. so in my mind he is of the more lawful set and likely more lawful than neutral. but we shall see~

Tears of Zelda Hair

Well guess what, my current obsession is Legend of Zelda! Zelda's hair in TOTK is so cute, and since I haven't seen anything similar before, I decided to give it a try on Blender. And I managed to model the braid from scratch, I'm really proud of it 🥰

For female, all ages, not valid for random.

Found in hats, with two presets: one with hair clips, and other without. (and thanks anon, now I can't unsee the horns lol)

EA highlights

No morphs, but won’t clip in fat sims

Known issue: some very tiny transparency issues on the sides and in the back. (I mean, even EA hair have worse so 🤷‍♀️)

I made this crack theory about deshret for meme weekend but I noticed the mods changed the flair

Basically, ancient Egyptians harvested iron from meteorites before they mined it. They saw it as a gift from the gods and strongly associated the meteorite iron to royalty and power, so they also believed the pharaohs would have this form in the afterlife and be reborn as "star lords".

Traveler reminds Liloupar of Deshret and the twins came into Teyvat as fallings star, so I thought since Deshret is said to have descended from the sky in The Lay of Al-Ahmar, maybe it was in reference to the ancient Egyptian meteorite belief.

Scion of the Blazing Sun released a while ago confirms this:

The red lord, they say, once contended against the bright sun, and ultimately fell to the earth like a meteorite.

Gilded Sands mentions this (the original Chinese text has the character for iron but was translated to metal)

A feather to weigh hearts, and molten metal to measure divine wisdom, both ruling with selfless rationality.

It later mentions the kingdoms of the desert imitated Deshret in ruling with kings and priests.

Hermanubis was the leader of the priest class that Kasala belonged to, which Cyno has a connection to. The feather of Maat was used by Anubis to weight souls, so the first line is in reference to the priest class and by extension to Cyno. While the three sages that persuaded Deshret in The Lay of Al-Ahmar (so perhaps they had a role closer to a political advisor?) are kings (Goat, Crocodile and Ibis) and the molten iron could be in reference to the royal aspect of ancient Egypt.

Coincidentally, Sethos also has references in his kit to ancient Egyptian royalty and his very name is that of pharaohs. Although in lore they had a different origin from the times of the Cataclysm where the Order of Skeptics fought alongside Khaenri’ahns, his ascension material is ore from Sumeru desert.

So Deshret is fallen meteorite and iron is associated with royalty of the desert (or at least a leadership role) like in ancient Egyptian belief

You know what else in ancient Egypt was associated with meteorites?

Researchers have theorized the Benben stone (which gives its shape to the part at the top of the pyramid and obelysks) has the conical shape of meteorites that fell into the atmosphere, likewise, the pyramids were in turn inspired by it.

Some theorized that the Benben stone was a symbol of rebirth, since ben means fertilization in the language and the original was found in the temple of the Phoenix, believed to be reborn from its own ashes.

Benben in Genshin is a surviving piece of technology from Deshret's civilization with a consciousness and emotions of its own that allowed Jeht, her father, traveler and the racist researcher to enter the mausoleum and guided them through the mechanisms soooooo

Ancients Awakened Post Moon Lord

The originial ideas for the mod were "fight dude then dude 'awakenes'" you know that's why they named the mod that. Anyway this dudes boss theme went so hard. Anubis Awakened was fough just after moon lord (Everything else from here should be progression order.)

Greed and Athena both had awakened forms too because they're ancients. Not much here I guess

Equinox worms were an awesome concept for a boss. They would accelerate the day/night cycle and change their attacks based on time of day. The theme (Orbital Equalibrium by CDMusic) is so good. Thank god they come back in the remake I love these guys.

The sisters of discord (hakura from the hydra and yamata, and ashe from akuma and broodmother) were a duo boss. I don't know if they had a theme I ever listened to. The wiki leads to a non-functioning link so... also they have a bunch of goofy trivia on the wiki page go to wikis guys use an adblock and you're golden. Idk if they're in the remake but I don't imagine that being the case.

Akuma was the post moon lord ancient for the inferno biome and another quarter of the chaos wizards soul. Yamata is the same story but with the mire. Yes yamata looks bad here but it could have been worse. I think I was getting tierd. They have a phase one, then an "awakened" form in expert mode which go hard. Both are coming back in the remake with a personality overhaul and no awakened form.

Zero was the boss for the void after you spent all of harmode forgetting it exists. He had an awakened form called Zer0 Protocol. I drew it and lost the file and don't know where the drawing is to take a picture again. I might draw it again but can I be bothered? He's coming back in the remake, being moved to hardmode. Zer0 Protocol stays post moon lord with infinity Zer0 (you'll see him later)

HE'S BACK!! idk why he got ana awakened form, summoned by killing 1000 bunnies after killing the normal form. His boss theme was just boss 1 theme will electric guitar and bells, because that's how you do an epic terraria mod theme.

Shen Doragon was the final boss. It was the fusion of yamata and akuma so half the chaos wizard soul. He had a second/alternate phase (I forget) in expert mode and he brought back discordian grips (which were replaced by sisters of discord) and awakened forms ofthe sisters of discord. I still love how the first phase turned out

I'd never tried this hair before, I don't know why. It's a 2t3 conversion of an EA hair by Kiara24 on MTS3 from 2010. It's the hair that Dina Caliente uses in the Sims 2. It's a decent basic hair. She said she used Anubis' textures, which is why it looks better than in Sims 2 I think.

The best part is that the description says that it's 820 polys. I love that.

If anyone knows of any other 2t3 rextextured EA hair conversions that are this low poly, let me know! I'd love to check them out.

Had my first bjd meet up yesterday afternoon!!! It was just two of us but we had a blast!

Look at all our babies:

My friend brought her very large SD Angelphilia and Fairyland Feeple girls in the back of the group as well as her gorgeous Lilycat Poulpy in green resin!

I brought Horus (Dream Valley Rah), Calypso (SleepySheepyDreams Puff + Doll Leaves Hybrid), Milo (Doll Leaves Louis), Anubis (Modded Dream Valley Glen) and my Frappzilla Blooms: Caspian (White), Astrophel (Black and Gold) and Brier and Fleur (Purple)

Compared to her Fairyland Feeple girl, Horus is so tiny 🥲:

He's so used to being the tallest among my collection and he's met his match 🤣

Utena Hair

It's alive!!!

Revolutionary Girl Utena is my favorite anime of all time, and when I stumbled upon a hair cards tutorial on youtube, instead of testing it with a easy simple bob, of course I went to do something complicated as Utena's hair. And here it is 😊  I'm quite astonished I was able to put this together, even with its own issues etc.
