How do they spend their anniversary?

Oooooo this is such a good question! Cause it vastly depends on what part of the timeline we're on.

Early on in their relationship? (year 1-3) They don't even acknowledge it. Link asks Revali about it a month in advance and gives him a panic attack, so after that they kind don't talk about it. But after year 3 they kind of start to celebrate more. Revali's been going to therapy more and wanting to do actual relationship stuff. So they start doing proper dates and celebrating Valentine's, the like. So around the 3-4 year mark, the do mild stuff. Sitting at home, smoking weed, gaming, (sex), maybe some takeout. Very relaxed.

But after the 4 ish year mark Revali really wants to start going all out. Taking Link on fancy dinners and stuff. So he makes their anniversary a big deal. They decide together a restaurant to go to and then usually some kind of event. Dress up. The whole nine-yards. Unless they're feeling really tired (cause at this point they have a kid), sometimes they just sit at home and she's out with one of the other champions. So they literally just enjoy a quiet apartment to themselves. Usually Link would make something for dinner and they just lay on the floor.

I just think this is such an interesting question because Link very much enjoys the "let me spoil you" aspect to the relationship. He likes memorizing important days and doing something meaningful. But Revali gets so stressed about any outward acknowledgement of their relationship that he just kinda lets himself forget to do that stuff. But then later it becomes super meaningful to Vali to do that stuff together so Link has to reboot his brain back into doing it again. Idk it's just fun to think about how their relationship changes over time! This was such a great ask!

But basically we came up with a new AU that I've been calling "Unphotogenic" for simplistic obvious reasons in which it diverts from our og au and it involves Tari working as a photographer (used more as a backpack carrying assistant) for a studio affiliated with fazcorp and situated in the pizzaplex to take care of every picture to take for birthdays and events, discouraging ppl to use their own cameras, phones, flashes, or hire other groups of photographers unfamiliar with safety rules and obstructing passage to important vacating areas for staff.

In this au the boys didn't get their upgrade either, the best they got is a fix to their face's internal mechanisms to be able to move eyebrows, close eyelids and slightly move the corners of their mouths , but that's about it.

I tried, truly, to go with the full biblically accurate look but I, as a person, am so unserious I had to grant them at least the bare minimum of expression or I was going to giggle my checks off every serious scene.

Also... I want to curse you with the knowledge that the age I went by is approximately canonical to the time they've been built and activated first.

Overdue Mod!AU questions from ya boi who doesn't have the energy to log into their alt acc at 1am.

-Do any of your characters have damaging habits; eg nail biting, skin picking, hair pulling etc.

-Which characters have irrational fears? Does any character have a particularily bizarre or uncommon phobia? And if so, is there a story behind that?

-If Revali and Link had met as kids; how would that have gone? Would they have become friends or hated one another back then?

• damaging habits? Yes. Revali & Zelda more do emotionally. Hurting themselves as punishment because of their insecurities. Link is a skin picker and when he has meltdowns with bite, pull hair, scratch himself. (Revali will punch himself when he has panic attacks). Mipha chews her hair and Zelda bites her nails.

• particular fears? Hmm, I have headcanoned Revali as having claustrophobia but that's not in this au. I've also debated giving Link needle phobia because of sensory issues but also he just is so ridiculously chill that it feels hard to give him anything like that (plus other reasons). As of right now, nobody has any irrational fears or phobias I can think of!

• would revalink have been friends as kids? If they had been young kids, probably yes. Link was a weird horse girl and Revali was a closeted gay boy so they would have gotten along great as like 5-12 year olds. But once puberty hit and Revali started aggressively masking and hiding himself, he would have hated Link with a passion. Unfortunately. He'd be too busy trying to be normal and come across as smart & pretty& competent that he wouldn't have time for the awkward kid that Link was through all of high school. (and they definitely wouldn't have gotten along during Link's drug days)

• Mimi crochets! Mostly clothes for herself or her friends! Revali likes to read non-fiction. Midna is in a band! And Urbosa likes to do yoga :)

• drink choices: man that's hard haha. Mipha & Vali are getting fancy mixed drinks or margaritas, but Revali will drink literally anything that has high alcohol content. He will take straight shots of tequila like a freak (but secretly he likes a good whiskey). Zelda prefers mojito's or water. She doesn't like to drink a lot when they're all out and would prefer to drink at home. Daruk and Link are drinking beer (but Link is stealing sips from everyone else's drinks all night). Urbosa likes wine or old fashions. Midna is a mixed drink girl but she'll take cheap beer too. Tera is doing shots with Revali, she doesn't really care either as long as she's getting tipsy.

• ok so revalink first but Revali loves being treated special <3 he loves going nice places and getting to dress up any time he can. Link doesn't mind it but he would prefer to save money and just spend time together so he'd rather eat hot wings in a park xD

But it's an even split of fancy vs not fancy. Urbosa, Zelda, Revali, and Midna all like nice stuff. and Daruk, Mipha, Tera, and Link would all rather chill.
