Call me jaded bitter and black but I’ll never care about the nuances of the police fill in on tv. Like we already have to deal with the ‘my dad is a cop :(‘ or ‘my broke brother joined the military’ irl why the fuck am I wasting my brain power on Caitlyn or vi. "How has Layton not snapped from all the trauma" because his story is that of grief and acceptance. He's known pain and has suffered from it but after many years he learned to move on because life will continue whether he wants it to or not so he may as well make the most of it. He carries the painful memories with him but is also capable of seeing the beauty in life. He cries for his loved ones who have died but appreciates the people he has in his life now. Layton is an amazing character BECAUSE he hasn't snapped.

hmm . it was tough to decide one which oc to pick for this one but i'm going with eden. the most simple way i can put it is he came from a place of self-love, despite lookign nothing like me fkjJKLVHLJKSD i just have a lot of feelings about being aroace and how that effects the way i view love (romantic, platonic, familial, etc) and eden was created as a way for me to explore that (when i get the motivation/urge to)

his name and some aspects of his character also come from two songs i like, both by two different artists who are called ede n. these songs are eden - wake up and (content warning kpop jumpscare) eden - suffering for love. how these songs relate to him is smth i haven't posted abt yet and i'll need to un-scatter my thoughts before i do

i also just think vampires are really fucking cool and the concept of a really old one sharing his cumulative knowledge through books is smth i like the idea of a lot
