Gabriel grants Andre Bourgeois' wish.

Keep in mind Hawk Moth is Gabriel, and in canon he's known Andre and Audrey since he was a poor unknown designer living in "a dismal cramped apartment" until Audrey discovered him.

So when he akumatizes Andre he knows exactly what the man's been putting up with, and how he once went from his dream of being a movie director to Mayor of Paris -- which may have been Audrey's ambition for him, not his for himself.

When Andre transforms he's everything he isn't in normal life: Buff, commanding, wielding absolute authority, and receiving adulation from his daughter and his wife.

Notice Chloe is delighted that her father wants her to stay and she's not akumatized. She wants her father's love and to be with him in Paris. She even calls the idea "excellent," though with hesitation, as if she knows this is too good to be true.

Gabriel/Hawk Moth is actually giving the Bourgeois family a gift: to be a happy family.

Also we get to see what a saint of tolerance Adrien is. He's just too squeaky clean for my taste.

I miss when MLB's writing was this nuanced and interesting.

Back To The Old House

Something about the fall always gave Claudia a sense of peace, though it wasn’t always for the same reasons. As a kid, it was because she liked being able to stand sleeping with blankets again and because Dad would start making pot-au-feu for dinner again. When she got a little older, there was a comfort in being surrounded by death; The world didn’t seem to like admitting it, but it was easing back into its six months of mourning the summer, and, well— Lydia was born in June. But now…

“Why do you put on all these sad songs when we’re dancing together?” She asked her husband. He brought her in closer as they danced in the kitchen, planting a kiss on the top of her head like he’d started doing once he was too tall to easily kiss her on the lips. “This is probably one of the worst songs we could be dancing to.”

“I don’t mind the lyrics,” Adrien smiled, holding onto her waist tightly. “Besides, we listened to these a lot when we were younger, right? Doesn’t it bring back memories? ..The night we met?”

“…It does.” 

Specifically, Claudia couldn’t help but remember just how lanky and awkward her husband was back then. Adorable, yes, but definitely not anything romantic. It didn’t help that she also associated meeting him with the shame of acting so stupidly—Sure, she was a bit crossfaded and was more focused those nights with coming off as sober than caring about boundaries, but she’d had no real reason to just pet his head out of nowhere. …And yet, they wouldn’t be here without it, right? It was worth not being sober that one night.

“Do you ever regret it?” 

Adrien was caught off guard by the question, nearly forgetting his steps. He had thought once or twice before about what was waiting for him back home—Not struggling with bills, not worrying about groceries, so on and so forth. But etched in Claudia’s face were these gorgeous smile lines, wrinkles that held in them such a perfection that even by themselves they were worth Adrien throwing his previous life away.

“Not for a moment,” he sighed. “And even if I did, I don’t think it was my fault for leaving.” His thumb traced Claudia’s hand, a warm and freckled hand, a truly beautiful hand forged in life and in hardship and in soft moments like these, too. “If anyone should regret anything, it should be Ladybug.”

Claudia nodded, glancing off for a moment. The name carried the weight of a curse, but not the vulgar kind. Claudia was sure that girl—whoever or wherever she was and had been for the past few years—didn’t know who she was, but there’s always this sort of guilt that carries you when something not meant to be yours chooses to be. Over scrubbing dishes or during long breaks at the Café, Claudia would worry from time to time about how she’d never know what she’d taken from that girl she’d never get to meet. It was like Sylvia Plath and the fig tree: Just, in Claudia’s own story, she’d taken a ripe purple fig out of another girl’s hand, leaving the poor thing with only the rotten fruit on the ground to pick and choose from. As much of a calloused bitch as that girl probably was, Claudia would often think to herself about just how awful it must have been to take a bite of a disgusting, rotten fig that you didn’t even want.

I'm very grateful to hear, though, that these have been very sought out by guppies, so hopefully I'll be able to get through the backlog completely ;u;

Dorm Azul is a double Water Balanced SSR that gains a third Water spell upon limit breaking him thrice. Azul is the definition of a balanced card. His heal makes him viable for defense tests, and his double Water especially makes him coveted for Fire Defense. If his M3 is unlocked, activating Azul's Curse Immunity will allow him to heal despite Curse hitting him. On the other hand, his ATK M buddy with Jade allows him to be great at offense. Taking his Lv.100 stats for example, Azul's ATK with Jade in team is 7,620, which is high enough for a powerful duo overkill (around 9k per hit, equating to 27k in total). Even without Jade in team, Azul's ATK UP S on his first spell allows him to deal more damage, all the more if you use his first and second spell together. Dorm Azul works best in Fire Basic and Defense. For Fire Basic, his duo partner is Riddle, whose Dorm card (Fire/Fire) deals a lot of damage in spite of all neutral hit. Dorm Jade (Water/Fire), Union Jade (Cosmic/Water), and Broomquet Jade (Fire/Water) are some of the best options to boost Azul's ATK, and Robe Jade (Fire/Cosmic) as a f2p friendly option. As a bonus, having Dorm Idia (Fire/Cosmic) in team can boost Azul's HP further in case survival is needed, and this allows for Dorm Ortho, a fellow duo overkill, to be in the team. For Fire Defense, the best Riddle to use is Tsum Riddle (Cosmic/Water) due to his HP and ATK DOWN targeting 2 enemies at once. Robe Riddle (Fire/Water) is also a great f2p friendly option due to his high HP. Masquerade Idia (Water/Water) and Lab Idia (Water/Water) are the best options to use with Azul because of double Water, with the former being better due to higher HP and ATK DOWN L on first spell and the latter being a cheaper option. GM Idia (Water/Flora) and Dorm Idia are also good options especially due to mutual HP buddy with Azul, but the former has a weak spell and the latter has no advantage spells. Well worth noting that with Idia in team, this allows for Dorm Trey to be used together with Azul due to mutual Idia buddy. Azul also does very well in Cosmic and Omni Defense tests, mainly due to his heal and buddy synergy with other great cards. One of the best teams for both tests is Dorm Trey, Dorm Cater, Dorm Azul, Dorm Idia, and Beans Jade, with base HP 68,597 with all cards at Lv.80 and additional 15,620 HP from all heals. Azul and Idia have mutual HP buddy, and Beans Jade boosts Azul's ATK, making him one of the main damage dealers in the test. Dorm Idia can be replaced with GM Idia as well. Azul can also be useful in Water Basic. If you have Union Riddle (Cosmic/Flora), both of them have a mutual duo, with Riddle's ATK being boosted by Azul. Halloween Jade (Water/Flora) may be added to not only boost Azul's ATK but also to add an additional duo, with Lab Jade (Water/Flora) as a good cheaper option. Overall, Dorm Azul is a very versatile card that can be used in a lot of tests, with buddy synergy with numerous other amazing cards, many of them being permanent cards. Azul is a card very worth investing on.

More Chloe bitching from me.

Not about Chloe, but about what the writers did to Chloe.

In Season 2's "Malediktator" Audrey actually wants to make Chloe happy. She makes demands of her husband on her behalf.

After Season 2 the new writers and Astruc hated Chloe so much they turned her into an insufferable monster, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Both her parents hated her, as if they weren't the reason she was a terrible person.

The Bourgeois family was so much more interesting when they were complex. But complex characters requite complex writing, and after MLB's creators decided they wanted multiple universes and for Gabriel to be an insane MCU villain all the writing went to shit.

Chloe, Audrey, and Andre deserved better.

Isakai Chloe

So overthinking how Isakai Chloe is working with the timeskip in One Piece; And my half asleep thoughts made this.

Like Chloe gets yeeted out of the MLB universe after Hawkmoth tries blackmailing her on the roof. He uses the Rooster (Somehow doesn’t think to do what the Paris Special did yet) and then goes to the park to have Mayura make a Senti to replace Chloe. Because the Butterfly lets Hawkmoth have empathic abilities they actually make an internally well programmed copy, but because Hawkmoth only cares about the NEGATIVES the Senti is worse than S1-S3 ever was. Hawkmoth doesn’t care about keeping her reputation good. Thus Chloe is seamlessly replaced in canon with Fu, Chat Noir, and Ladybug being the only ones to know that there is a phony-Chloe turned into Miracle Queen. To the rest of Paris Chloe was attacked by Hawkmoth right after her parents were overshadowed. 

Senti-Chloe doesn’t seem to be aware that she isn’t the real Chloe and is left to wander and act independently; with Gabriel and Nathalie nonchalantly holding her life hostage. Adrien and Marinette have to go through their days silently unable to tell their peers that its a fake Chloe; they don’t know what happened to the original. 

Meanwhile Chloe ends up in the Romance Arc of One Piece and seeks the main character! The Echo of this is that the pages of Adrien’s manga collection begin to change to reflect a new character. Luka and Juleka’s copies also change. Juleka tells Rose and Ivan. When Rose tries to ask S!Chloe about pirates she gives a rude, but clueless answer about it. S!Chloe moves on but pays no mind. When Marinette and others go to The Liberty they see the books and learn something is up. Adrien looks at his copies at home and confirms the changes. Adrien and Marinette each pretend to have ‘told’ their respective secret identities about the development. The Class now knows that their Chloe was yeeted out of universe. Sabrina agrees to keep an eye on S!Chloe. The heroes get to keep wrestling with the options of telling Chloe’s parents but don’t want to cause another Malidictator incident.

The time difference isn’t evenly split so Chloe ends up in Sabaody Archipelago arc with only 2-3 months passing in MLB-universe. When Kuma sends the various Straw Hats to their ‘vacations’ Chloe gets sent home to Paris.

Adrien helps hide Chloe at his house. Nobody mentions the thousands of dollars this guy spends on cheese; hiding the food budget for another whole person will be easy. If anything the private chief is relieved that Adrien is eating more fish to balance out his dairy based diet.

Nino’s rebellion is informed about Chloe’s return and now they’re seeking to find S!Chloe’s amok. Since Adrichat and Maribug know that Mayura doesn’t need to be in possession to dispose of a ‘loose end’ insist on taking Mayura’s miraculous first priority. The two of them silently lamenting the other Senti’s killed in the line of duty because of Hawkmoth’s obsession.

Chloe is frustrated and vents to Sabrina. She knew the two year timeskip was going to happen regardless of her actions leading up. She just didn’t think she’d end up in a different world? How was she supposed to get stronger in the wrong universe? How was she supposed to get stronger here? She can’t bring a Miraculous over to the Grand Line. She has to stay in hiding until they can guarantee S!Chloe’s safety.

Hi! I've been wanting to send asks for a while but couldn't think of a good question until recently.

I have three questions (or perhaps I should say headers).

One: How's your rewrite progressing? At what stages is cannon altered? Are there going to be concepts/characters ignored entirely?

Two: I've seen your (humorous) plea for long/multi chapter eah fics what are some of the favorite's you've read already? Any chance you have an idea of your own outside the rewrite? long or short (chances are yes, for literally anyone in this fandom but it bears asking).

Three: What fairytale(s) would you

A: Like to repeat

B: Could functionally thwart if you had to live through it.

C: Die in, or flee the land to avoid at all cost's.

Omg love the questions. I will admit I’m a bit to brain dead to fully comprehend all the questions so if I answer I different question that what you intended feel free to correct me.

With that being said, the first chapter of my rewrite is done and basically fully edited I believe it’s around 6000/7000 words. Chapter two hadn’t been edited but it’s kinda a weird one so it doesn’t really need to be edited and it’s only around 2000 words.

Chapter 3 I’ve written a bit of it and it’s also a short and I have a layout for it. And chapter 4 is going to be on the longer side probably 6000-10000 words. But after those are done and edited hopefully I’ll publish the fic!!

So that’s the progress, for what parts of canon are being altered, I think a lot of characterization. Bunny, Alistair, Crystal, Milton Grimm, Snow White & EQ are all characters who were either portrayed as good or morally grey that I’m going to make evil (whoops spoilers) and then also kitty isn’t really going to have a redemption arc like she did in spring unsprung, she’s just going to continue to chaotically be herself.

And then just every plotline / character will just be slightly more mature and in depth. And it depends on how you see canon because the rewrite is going to be a mix the tv series + the books which vary a bit on canon. And then obviously a lot more queer representation.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that the epic winter arc is being disgraced but it’s going througu many changes. I’ll probably get ride of the whole through the woods concept because it doesn’t really add anything to the plot (although I am adding a musical that doesn’t really do anything for the plot except allow be to geek (theatre kid) out and give us some cute dizzie moments).

I really want to include her but I don’t think there’s going to be any room for Bella sister. Other things from canon that I’m not including is darise, Meeshell being a horrible singer, DARABELLA, Maddie having visions, the snow king, cupids crush on dexter, the revealer rays, probably lots more but I can’t think of them.

Onto the next question I definitely have some fic recs. I’ll probably make a separate post for it but my top 2 are rewrite ignite restart and a legacy of brambles and thorns.

I think the reason why I’m actually commuting to the rewrite is because it’s really the only eah fic I want to write since I plan to hopefully cover all the characters and ships I like. In my past fandoms I’ve had like 20 different fics I wanted to write but I never got a around to all or them.

Oh wait actually I guess I have one idea but I doubt I’ll ever write it since I want to focus on the rewrite. But during my transition stage from the mlb fandom to the eah I was thinking about an au. Either the eah characters with miraculous’s in the real world or mlb characters at ever after. 

Okay and for the last questions im assuming you’re asking which fairytales I’d like to 1. Be a part of 2. Don’t want to be a part of and I could stop it 3. Would have to run away from ?

1. When I was little I had the yearbook thing that had you create your own eah character and I always wanted to be a princess so I made myself goose girl

2. Definitely wouldn’t want to be like Jack in the beanstalk so I just wouldn’t take the beans

3. Sleeping beauty was my fav when I was younger so I definitely wouldn’t want to have Faybelles destiny. Or be an ugly sister, that would kill my self esteem (no wonder Bella and Brutta ran away)

For the last 3 questions I wasn’t sure if you were asking all abt me or if any were for my rewrite.
