Eriisi Bio

A demon born in the first plane of the Netherrealm. She was part of family of Netherrealm inhabitants who were still loyal to Lucifer many years after his defeat at Shinnok's hands.

The Brotherhood of Shadow discovered the family dared to follow a leader different from Lord Shinnok and ambushed them, trapping their souls in the Prison of Souls. Eriisi was the exception, since she was a young child at the time and the members still believed she could be reeducated to serve the true ruler of the Netherrealm. She was forcefully recruited in the Brotherhood of Shadow since then.

Unexpectedly for the members who took her in, time didn't make her forget her past or what they did to her family. She tried to escape many times, failing in the process. The leaders of the Brotherhood group she was in, despite considering also taking her soul to the Prison of Souls for rebellion (as was recommended), were 'compassionate' enough to 'just' reprogram her mind through magic to behave accordingly. Luckily, someone interrupted that process.

Geras was a being created by the Elder Goddess of Time, Kronika, one of her three children alongside Shinnok and Cetrion. Although he was recommended by his mother to stay neutral in the conflict of mortals, his curiosity made him visit other realms from time to time. He visited the realm ruled by his brother at the right moment.

Geras was horrified when he heard that Eriisi's free will, something the Elder Gods valued as the greatest right of mortals, was going to be taken from her. He decided to save her and, since she had nowhere else to go, he took her in. As time went on, their relationship became that of a father and his daughter, something they are willing to openly admit nowadays. They have learned much from each other in their time together.

On the one hand, Geras has taught Eriisi the wonders of peace, since he thought that would have been something neither the Brotherhood nor the Followers of Lucifer would have put enough emphasis in. He even let her visit certain parts of other realms as examples, and she was fascinated to have the chance. It gave her motivation to one day fight to change the current state of the Netherrealm so it can be like that. Once she encounters other rebellious demons like Sareena and Ashrah, she may have a better chance to achieve it than she expected.

On the other hand, Eriisi's rebellious spirit and motivation to change things has inspired Geras to abandon his neutrality. It maintaining it meant that countless people through the realms had to went to tragedies like hers while he did nothing, then he just couldn't maintain it anymore. He was going to fight for what he believed was right, and Eriisi's dreams to change her realm was part of it.

Shinnok's family is definitely going to give him more trouble in the future than he had expected.

Mirror Quan Chi/TR Quan Chi

Once an Oni who hailed from the fifth plane in the Netherrealm, one of the most hostile environments of that realm which was already known as a terrible place to begin with. For many of its inhabitants, looking up just for themselves was a requirement to live any kind of comfortable life. Quan Chi was simply one of many of those cases, except he succeeded far more than usual, enough to grow quite complacent with that lifestyle.

A genius with no rival (you can be sure that’s how he would call himself), Quan Chi studied sorcery with the objective of becoming more powerful, and he really did. He even managed to change his physical appearance, transforming himself into a more regular demon, one with a particularly humanoid form, feeling that form would be more ‘appealing’ for others (especially those with tamed souls who came from living realms after death), useful for his future schemes.

Quan Chi kept living in the Netherrealm for thousands of years, usually jumping from one plane to another, with self-benefit being his only objective in mind. He wished to find something that could give him power and influence over his realm, overthrow Lucifer as its ruler. In the world you are more familiar with, the chance to fulfill his objectives came when he learned of a Fallen Elder God who had been trapped in the Netherrealm, killing any already very slight possibility on him reflecting on his ways by giving him a taste of the power he desired… but this world, as always, had a very different path for him.

When Quan Chi learned of Shinnok’s initiative to change the Netherrealm, he was as surprised as amused. He considered it absurd. Such a powerful being, who could easily rule over the mere insects the inhabitants of the realms were to him, had just come to assist them? He couldn’t even believe it, instead thinking Shinnok actually wanted to impose his will in his own way. But in any case, he was curious enough of the possibilities such a powerful presence brought to decide and see it by himself.

When Shinnok was visited by Quan Chi, he was soon able to tell the kind of person he was. And, as he said to Quan Chi, it was fine, he had gone there expecting the consequences of  his and his fellow Elder Gods’ would be dedicated to pain and suffering, the kind of people who were created as a result of it, but the former Elder God also let it be clear that he was no fool. Quan Chi was annoyed that any possibility of tricking Shinnok was gone from the very start, but he decided to make a deal with him, nonetheless. He still wished to be associated with a powerful being of his capabilities, even if his actions would be limited by Shinnok’s compassion, which he still hoped would be less restricted than Lucifer’s wish to control every demon. Shinnok accepted, knowing someone with Quan Chi’s knowledge could be useful and having hopes for him still having at least a little capability to reflect, but let it clear to Quan Chi that he would keep an eye on him. The sorcerer decided to hold any scheme he could have for the ideal moment, which never came.

One of the things Shinnok used to do with every demon who associated with him only by self-preservation was showing them the kind of happy prosperous life people in other realms could enjoy. While it worked with many of them, that wasn’t Quan Chi’s case. He was perfectly aware of how things worked in other realms, he had studied enough for it, and still held on to his selfish lifestyle, thinking it as the only way to genuinely triumph… and yet, seeing so many other inhabitants of the Netherrealm change genuinely and following Shinnok’s ideas deep down awakened doubt in him, at least enough doubt to actually want to see how they would fare now that they had abandoned the ways he adored. He expected them to fail for being fools, and he couldn’t have been more wrong.

While the Shinnok and the Brotherhood were flawed and still failed many times, Quan Chi was able to see them succeeding in building a better society in the first four planes of the Netherrealm, and not even needing to use force, but just their collective will to make things better. That contradicted everything Quan Chi believed, and finally started to change him. It was a slow process that took many years, but it happened. At first he just developed respect for the success of Shinnok and the Brotherhood. Then, when he decided to genuinely help them sometimes out of that respect, he started earning friendships, being treated with kindness and gratitude in a way that actually made him feel fulfilled in a way gaining power hadn’t done before. And so the process continued until Quan Chi decided to actually change his way, and also genuinely work with the Brotherhood as comrades. Shinnok, who had known from the start that Quan Chi would be a long term project in terms of changing, felt very glad that it had actually happened, and became genuine friends with him from then on rather than just associates.

Now one of the most influential figures in the Brotherhood and fully loyal to it, Quan Chi will not be stopped by anyone who threatens them and the betterment of his realm, including Cetrion and her followers.

✨Art summary for 2024✨

Tbh seeing my art improve throughout the year is so uplifting to me, seeing how much I progress as a digital artist is such a joy and I hope I’m can improve more in the next year. It was a lil hard to pick drawings I was proud of, especially for the first few months. June was the time where I started to figure out what my art style was. Started off pretty rough but it got better throughout and I’m happy with these ones :)

My New Year’s resolution is just to post more art without being nervous lol

Ever since I heard that song "More Than Anything" from Hazbin Hotel Ep 5, I just keep imagining this sung by MK and Nuwa. I just think this would be a beautiful expression of their mutual eagerness to know and love each other.

I imagine it like this: MK and the gang are trying to stop the hooded keeper of the dead guys from destroying the world like they have been trying since LBD. MK wants to meet and talk to them to stop their plans, while Nuwa, who at this point has revealed who she is and why she left MK in the mortal realm (my hc is that those hooded guys killed her other creations because they assumed they would cause horrible chaos and destruction, so she deliberately got Mk, her last and most precious creation to safety by leaving him with the mortals) and is telling MK that they can't fight them or stop them.

MK won't give up, as he knows what he wants to do more than anything is to keep people safe from those who hate the world because they believe it's too chaotic, destructive, etc. He talks about the familiarity of Nuwa's story, and how he felt drawn to celestial stories and such and how he wants to win this because he wants to have the chance to get to know his Mom.

Moved by her son's dedication and love for his friends and the world, she agrees to do what she can to support him and help him win.

I think it would be beautiful to see that, especiallyif someonewants to do an animatic. Thoughts?

Now, this is a Scorpion!Harumi AU... AU! So I'll be using the Scorpion!Harumi Crew and their dynamics as reference to parallel the characters. With that in mind, let's meet the hotel staff!👀

At first glance, Lisa Liang may seem rather scary, but when you get to know her... she's still pretty scary!

But the "super villain" started to grow a bit too comfortable in the hotel and too accustomed to the compliments.

He got sloppy and was caught embarrassingly fast!

But with a simple sorry spoken straight from his core, he was given a second chance! Not that it will mean much-- H*LY SHIT HE [MAJOR SPOILERS]!!

THE HEAD SERAPHIM, ASHRAH:

Look, she's not evil! Just misguided...

She wants to protect her home and her sister and is willing to do whatever it takes!

But maybe she will calm down once she meets Heaven's newest resident...

THE OTHER SERAPHIM, SAREENA:

You can call her Sareena, Reen, Sa, Ena, whatever!

She's usually very sweet and bubbly, but she's not feeling particularly bubbly at the moment. She's learned some stuff, you know?

Maybe a new friend may help her raise her spirits?
