I honestly want to say everyone??? This is just. Such a large, talented group of people that I would feel bad leaving literally anyone out. Everyone here is skilled in some way - whether it’s with their imagery, dialogue, prose, or depth of character - this is just such a creative bunch. I love how passionate everyone here is about their characters and this world, and how much effort people put into worldbuilding. I suppose I have to give a special shoutout not only to the admins, bc I admire Lauryl and MK for creating such a unique world that people can constantly build upon, but also to all those I have familial (Mersisters, Adamsons) connections with and relationships with in general for being so active with wanting to headcanon and plot with me!

Ariel: Ariel and I get along the best, most likely because I let her have complete control over her story. She’s so independent, so she needs that full grip on the reigns and is thankful to me for giving it to her. I admire a lot about her and she’s basically my baby.

Alice: Alice and I get along fairly well since we’re both really very similar in personality. But Alice has much more of a temper than I do. It’s hard for me to get angry, so when she snaps so quickly it’s a bit uncomfortable for me, although at the same time, contradictorily it’s very lethargic and theraputic. She I’m sure doesn’t like me for the past I’ve given her but appreciates me attempting to make up for it in the present.

Vitani: We don’t get along. Lmao. She’s hard to coax out, she wants things done on her terms and sometimes I have to pull her in so she doesn’t go too far, and she’s just a bitch in general. I admire some things about her, like her ambition, though. 

Kovu: Kovu is my baby boy. Baby. He’s been through so much but he doesn’t see me as having done it to him weirdly enough, more that his story was meant to be fucked up?? And I’m just like baby no?? You’re here to find out you deserve a great story??? I love you??? It’s great he looks at me like a Mom I love it.

Shock: Man, even I’m not entirely sure here. Sometimes Shock and I kind of /finger gun at each other but then others I’m like “Shock torturing people is probably wrong and y’know you’re problematic” and she’s just like /eyerolls. So it’s give or take.

Star Realm Lore Remastered (2024)

The Nauticas are a fictional race of people created for the purpose of a mortal kombat story called Mk: Star Realm. This is the 2024 remastered lore with updated bio and images.

Biology 

Nauticas (Nah-te-car) are a dark skin humanoid race that possess magical powers and who are worshippers of the night. 

Nauticas have five different eye colors. Blue, white, green, red and yellow. But all have a bright white glow to them. Nauticas have gold or silver plating on their head, chest and their stomach. Nauticas also have gold or silver shades on their fingertips and toes. Unlike other humanoid races Nauticas bleed blue blood.

Nobody truly knows what makes the Nauticas unique. But Nauticas know their true origins. As unlike everyone else who was created through the aspects of reality, Nauticas are created through the aspects of Time. Which would explain their unique blue blood.

Nauticas possess superhuman strength and have longer life spans. The Nauticas have a deep connection to magic, but they specialize their source of magic through darkness, shadows, time, the night and the power of the moon and stars. Biologically nobody knows how long the Nauticas can live for. Many believe the Nauticas are immortal, while others believe that Nauticas live for thousands or possibly millions of years. Although everyone collectively agrees that Ashful, her father and her sisters are immortal. 

Nauticas only exist in a handful of timelines. Usually as an off shot from the KC Timeline. They don’t exist in the original timeline and they certainly don’t exist in Liu kang’s new era. In truth Nauticas can only exist in a timeline if Kronika is present.

Hybrids 

While Ashful's second and third child (Sardis and Vitani )heritage the Nautica's dark skin, blue hair and blue blood, Amphisbaena Ashful's first child heritage a mostly human appearance thus giving her white skin as while as her mix purple blood. This makes her appear as an albino Nautica. Vitani Ashful’s third child inherits Shokan traits such as the four arms and blue horns.

Culture and Religion 

Star Realm’s culture is entirely dependent on its Religion and Paganism. Without it the poor Nauticas will have no purpose. Pagan practices include, festivals, offering, sacrifices, orgy parties, tournaments and other religious practices. Their culture shares some characteristics with ancient Rome. Their Clothing is a mix between ancient Greece and China. Though they ain’t afraid to show some skin. In fact it is highly encouraged since Nauticas are firm believers that their bodies belong to the gods and so they act as a living daily sacrifices. Whether that be for pleasure, for blood or to simply act as their vessel.  Although they have a sense of their own culture they have borrowed a lot of stuff from other realms. Include traditions, history and objects. 

Star Realm is ruled under a Monarchy, usually under an Emperor or a Queen. The Nauticas worship a Pantheon of three Gods. Cetrion Goddess of Nature, Shinnok the God of Death and Kronika the Goddess of time and the supreme creator of Star Realm. Much of their customs are based on the Gods they worship.

About Star Realm 

Star Realm itself is a beautiful realm dedicated to the celestial realm. The realm has no day or night cycle, nauticas sleep of their own choosing. The realm has a bright green sun, a scarlet moon and a white dwarf star. The sky is covered in a celestial hemisphere much like the Northern skies. The structure of Nautica society is like a medieval sci-fi fantasy Kingdom. To villages, to sacred pagan temples with large statues dedicated to their Gods. Since Star Realm is dominated by a divisive three way religion Star Realm is divided by three domains. Star Realm could be compared to other realms such as Edenia and Orderrealm. However, Star Realm is considered small compared to other realms.

History  

Kronika's Revenge and the creation of Star Realm

Being the formal Elder Goddess of Time, Kronika was banished to the Kept as punishment for her rebellion. Enraged by her fellow Elder Gods, Kronika wanted to make them suffer. While in her imprisonment she found the Hourglass, an ancient artifact of unknown origins and with the power to manipulate time and space. Kronika learns that this artifact can create entire realms from scratch. Using the Hourglass Kronika decides to create a realm, one which she will control, and thus she named this new home Star Realm. 

The First Prototype

After Kronika had created Star Realm she wanted the realm to be filled with life, she wanted to create her own people. So she started off with a Prototype. This prototype would later be known as Geras. However Geras wasn't exactly what she wanted. So she remade him so many times until he became the perfect blueprint. However it is not Geras's destiny to be with Star Realm.

"The Emperor" Son of the Gods 

After creating her prototype it was time for Kronika to create her first real child. She would name him "The Emperor" The first Nautica to ever exist. For years the half brothers were sent to Star Realm to create life. Eventually after a few millennia Star Realm became a thriving civilization with "The Emperor" as its ruler. 

The Birth of the Star Sisters 

During “The Emperor” reign he slept with many of Star Realm’s people and his people gave birth to two thousand  identical daughters. All who share his green hair and all with moon halo. “The Emperor” would name his daughters the Star Sisters. A group of women who would act to his enforcers.

The Great Civil War 

One Day Kronika summons "The Emperor" to join Shinnok in his conquest . However the mission ended in failure. "The Emperor" tried to flee but he was struck down and killed by Raiden. His corpse was sent back to Star Realm to be found by his horrified daughters. Hearing the news Geras took his body to the kept to be held by a weeping Kronika. Kronika grieved for her son. After “The Emperor”’  death Star Realm fell into Chaos as his daughters fought each other for the throne. This Civil War nearly destroyed Star Realm. One of the Star Sisters named Ashful seek the aid of Shinnok's Zealots to help end the war. With their help Ashful created the Crown of Power. To get the attention of her sisters Ashful sat on her father’s throne and declared herself Queen of Star Realm. This infuriated the Star Sisters that they stormed their way into the throne room. Now that her sisters had fallen into her trap she used the crown to trap their spirits into the crown, ending the Great Civil War. 

Queen Ashful's reign 

With Ashful as its Beautiful Queen, Ashful brought a prosperous era to Star Realm. While Queen, a male Shokan named Mo'unga Tuno stumbled into Star Realm. He was captured and held for interrogation. But Queen Ashful falls in love with the stranger and pardons his crime. When the two confess their love Ashful made Mo'unga her husband and King of Star Realm. Together the two had three children. Named Amphisbaena, Sardis and Vitani. 

Thus ends the Nautica Lore.

Nautica (The people of Star Realm)

The Nauticas are a fictional race of people created for the purpose of a mortal kombat story called Mk: Star Realm. So today we will be exploring their biology, culture and history.

Biology 

The Nauticas are very similar to humans in terms of their appearance and reproduction, but other than that their similarity end. Nauticas are a dark skin humanoid race with pure white glowing eyes.

Nauticas have gold or silver plating on their head, chest and their stomach. Nauticas also have gold or silver shades on their fingers and toes. Unlike other humanoid races Nauticas bleed blue blood, this likely due to they're creation through the fabrics of time and space but that is just a theory.

They have a variety of natural hair colors ranging from blue, green, white, and silver. Then there are also the rare hair colors of purple, black and sunlight. Some Nauticas with a deep to connection magic will have majestic flowing hair.

Nauticas have large white tattoos on their back which have three different meanings. The center circle shows what God they belong to. The top circle shows their special gift and the rest of the symbols foreshadow their destiny. In some rare cases their tattoos will mean nothing and some Nauticas will never discover their destiny or they end up following a different destiny than the one they were given. Also in some rare cases Nauticas will end up worshiping other Gods than the one they were born with. This is considered an insult in Nautica culture.

Nautica hybrids are extremely rare due to their people being an isolated race. But hybrids are possible.  But the most famous case of hybrids is Ashful's children, being the result of half Shokan, half human and Nautica offspring. While Ashful's second and third child heritage the Nautica's dark skin, blue hair and blue blood, Amphisbaena Ashful's first child heritage a mostly human appearance thus giving her white skin as while as her mix purple blood.

About Star Realm 

Star Realm itself is a beautiful realm dedicated to the celestial realm. The realm has no day to night cycle, nauticas sleep of their own choosing. Since Star Realm is dominated by a divisive three way religion there are areas of Star Realm that are a wasteland scattered with bones, blood rituals and are usually shrouded in darkness. One of these areas even has large volcanoes spewing lava. Some areas have beautiful forests and lushful gardens, filled with healing spring rivers and magical creatures. These areas are considered the most beautiful places in Star realm. Then there are some areas that are controlled by space and time. These areas have much less gravity and exploring these places is like exploring the space itself. The Palace itself stands in one of these celestial planes. Star Realm could be compared to other realms such as Edenia and Orderrealm. However Star Realm is considered small compared to other realms.

Kronika Zealots

The Kronika Zealots are the keeper of time and followers of their supreme Goddess. It is believed that the Kronika zealots were the first to Star Realm and so they have claim over Star Realm. The Kronika Zealots seek balance in all things regardless of the consequences. The Kronika Zealot likes to preserve history and store their realm’s treasured moments. They stick to the future but also acknowledge the past and take advantage of the present. Kronika Zealots can manipulate time, create constructs and see into the future. Kronika Zealots are strong-minded and determined. You can recognize a Kronika Zealot by their blue and white clothing, kronika zealots will always have a small hourglass around them either on their necklace, a ring, a earpiece, or simply having a tiny hour glass in their pockets. Kronika Zealots used to be as numerous as the stars, but now they are a dying breed thanks to the constant infighting of the two most dominating cults. Now her worship is all but forgotten. The only ones still worshiping her are the sorcerers and sorceresses who keep to the faith.

Cetrion Zealots 

The Cetrion Zealots are servants of the light, preserves of the gardens and followers of their Goddess of life. Cetrion Zealots are kind and gentle, gracious and giving, compassionate and virtuous. Perfect reflection of their Goddess. Cetrion Zealot seeks to transform Star Realm into a place of order and holy. However as a result of their devotion these servants are very zealous. They want to destroy all other religions and all governments. They will force people to obey their Goddess or suffer. This makes the Cetrion Zealots hypocrites, as although they claim to be peaceful they will straight up murder people who disagreed with them. You can recognize a Cetrion Zealot by their green clothing and their nature like appearance as while a halo around their head. Cetrion Zealots have the power to manipulate plants, control light, resurrect people and are most skilled at healing. Cetrion Zealots perform an ancient ritual where they all sleep together in a group and when they give birth they celebrate childbirth, offering their newborns to their Goddess, blessing the new generation. Their main base is a large temple dedicated to their Goddess, full of plants and fireflies. A spiral staircase surrounding a large waterfall. A tall statue of Cetrion stand in front of the Temple greeting all those who come to her temple.

Shinnok Zealots. 

The Shinnok Zealots are servants of Death and are proud boastful servants of Shinnok. Shinnok Zealots are cunning, evil, secretive and manipulative. They seek to control Star Realm for themselves and bring glory and death to their God. The Shinnok Zealots are brutal in their tactics and they have the best key minds in all of Star Realm. It is rumored that the Shinnok Zealot have control over the  Monarchy, with Queen Ashful being a Shinnok Zealot herself. This rumor would later be proven true. You can recognize a Shinnok Zealot by their red or black clothing, as well as having bone armor as part of their custom. Shinnok Zealot have the power of necromancy, blood magic and manipulating shadows. The Shinnok Zealots perform an ancient ritual where they partake in a massive ogry, then sacrifice their babies to their death god hoping to gain his blessing. Their main base is in a large hollow volcano far away from the main kingdom and in the land of shadows. Inside the volcano is a colosseum where all the zealots come together to discuss their plans. 

The Cetrion Zealots and the Shinnok Zealots have been at each other's throat for years. This results in chaos, vandalism, blasphemy, terrorism and public murder. To compensate for this, Queen Ashful set up a tournament once every five years where they could come together, choose their best fighters and fight each other to the death. The winning team gets to show off their pride. Despite these three separate groups the Nauticas are joined together for one common purpose. Please the Gods and preserve the night. 

Nauticas are born with two unique abilities. However some Nauticas are born with only one ability. This is considered a disability. Unlike other realms, disabilities are celebrated in Star Realm. Nauticas who are born with physical or mental disabilities or simply lack a second power are considered a blessing in their culture. Their disabilities can allow them to evolve in new and fascinating ways. Some Nauticas with disabilities try to fix their disability or they use it to their advantage. In some strange cases they use their disabilities to push themselves to the limit.

The Fall of Star Realm 

Despite it Glorious history, Star Realm would eventually come to its downfall when Kronika enacted her plans to bring about a new era. So she sent Shinnok to prepare her secret army. Unfortunately for her Shinnok had no intentions to follow through with hers plans and took Star Realm for himself. The Shinnok Zealot were glad to have their God take the throne, even Ashful herself willingly giving up the throne for Shinnok. During Shinnok takeover his Zealots took the opportunity to kill all the Cetrion Zealots and destroy all her temples. Shinnok planned to use Star Realm to continue his war against Earthrealm. Vitani the child of Ashful learned of his plans and tried to stop him. She failed and was killed, resurrected and now acts as Shinnok’s right hand man. Shinnok intends to make Vitani his bride. Amphisbaena, feeling her sister’s betrayal, returned to Star Realm to try to rescue her mother. But Ashful revealed her true colors and allowed Shinnok to kill her daughter. Macha’rang’tuno fled Star Realm before the take over. He tried to protect his son but even he was captured and killed as well. Thankfully Raiden was able to bring Tavus and Amphisbaena back to their senses. With all the information Raiden gathered his forces to launched an attack against Star Realm, to stop them from invading earthrealm. The battle between Earthrealm and Star Realm was so great that Star Realm began to collapse and tear itself apart. Shinnok unknowingly brought Star Realm to its knees and brought upon its destruction. Shinnok disappeared from the battle abandoning his people. With Star Realm ceasing to exist Raiden made the rational decision to merge Star Realm with Earthrealm, in order to save it’s people. With the help of Star Realm greatest sorcerers Raiden was successfully able to merge the two realms thus saving thousands of lives. Although the Nauticas were saved, Star Realm was forever lost. The Nauticas become refugees in earthrealm. It was difficult for the Nauticas to adapt to their new home but mankind was able to help them. As a result of the merger Earthrealm became slightly larger and experienced a lightly gravity. Some buildings and landmarks made their way to earthrealm. Although Star Realm had been lost it still lives on in it people
