Good evening, everyone.

Now that we've gotten through the 2 comic relief characters, let's take a look at the 3rd addition to Snoof's arsenal, introduced in Season 1 Episode 4.

Due to Flain being one of, if not the most iconic character of the Mixels franchise, we chose to write him as one of the most competent ghosts of the group.

Here is his Mixels Watch bio:

Flain:

Mixels Tribe: Infernites

Ghost Tribe: Brave

Voice Origins: Tom Kenny

Special Ability in Combat: Molten Mortar (can launch huge fireballs to harm enemies, with the amount of damage depending on how fast a fireball is launched)

With him being such a famous Mixel, it seems that Flain of the Brave tribe was an easy target for the mysterious psychopath.

What was once a calm and laid back guy with a fiery head is now a depressed, emotionally broken specter. His head, once flaming hot, was now cold and filled with nothing but shame and regret over what led to his untimely demise, feeling that it was all his fault.

Luckily, he's given a second chance to somehow make things right when he meets Snoof. Now as a member of the crew, not only does he wish to reach out to his grieving brothers by any means necessary, but he is also determined to complete his unfinished business with them (particularly Zorch).

As a ghost, whenever Flain inspirits someone, it will make them act rather short-tempered, similar to his own behavior ever since he became a ghost.

It's so odd looking at Lego shows like Ninjago, Lego City Adventures, Monkie Kid, and Hero Factory, and then looking at Hidden Side, Dreamzzz, Nexo Knights, and Chima, and having to ponder like "Why do these four shows differ SO greatly from these other four shows in terms of writing and storytelling?" and then you have to remember that Tommy had minimal control over Ninjago, and didn't work at all on Monkie Kid or Hero Factory

Mixels my fav childhood minisodes about lego characters that learned to work together and their fusion are awesome. Also I understand what Kramer is saying.

3 2 1 Penguins have good bible quotes in the christain kid show I only know Veggietales when I was watching it on YouTube also 4 talking penguins are cool also Kevin is my fav autistic British penguin.

When it came out I got excited when it came out I was waiting for season 2 but it never came I love the cool rubber hose cartoon style in the adult animated show.

I love how it is about cooking and DND anime like Campfire Cooking in another world it’s wholesome,dark,delicious food and amazing animations also I love how the food look tasty and the intro song is a vibe but I wished that they added the missing moments in the manga right to the cutscenes when I’m watching it.The anime turns me into a gay simp fr.

When I first saw Red dwarf on BBC my mom tells me that Red dwarf is her fav childhood show I love how funny the sci-fi series is also the cat slaying in every episodes.

I love watching Bravest Warrior as a pre teen I love how they look like Adventure time but sci-fi Catbug gotta be my fav character.

Scooby doo is my fav when I grew up watching it on my old iPad and watching it on tv what I hate the most is scooby doo mystery incorporated they ruined Scooby doo and Velma relationship Velma loves Scooby doo when she met him as a puppy it’s so adorable I love how Velma treats him as a good friend instead of being jealous of eachother also I hated the Velma show.

I love watching Gravity falls on TV whenever I am on vacation with my family I love watcit everyday since my favourite is Mable cuz she’s like my fr as a kid now I become Robbie but without nobody cuz I never interested in dating. Alex Hirsh the legend who made a successful discontinued amazing 2 seasons show and made a coolest lore about Bill Cipher.

I love watching it since the show came out the year after I was out of the womb and still a baby I love how cool the robots are transformers are a greatest franchise since the 80s I love that the transformers characters are different from the original one like an alternate universe Prowl was my fav when I was a kid.

I love Monkey wrench since it came out I love the funny duo between Beebs and Shrike relationship they are the funny duo in the indie series the stories isn’t rushed and I love Sci-fi genre so much!

The Akatsuki base in Rain was cold. The perpetual drizzle here only sometimes became driving rain — usually when their leader was in a temper — but the constant cloud cover made the daylight grey and cool, and the nights black.

Kakuzu rarely felt the cold. His body was no longer well equipped to provide that information.

Sasori didn't feel it either. When Kakuzu came to the room he and Deidara shared, he found him barefoot and bare-armed, sat in the middle of the debris of what must have been puppet maintenance, surrounded by the rising reek of something heady and flammable. He was a small, slight, teenaged body, with glassy eyes and careless auburn hair. He looked... delicate.

"Tracking him is a waste of time," he was saying, even as he unsealed a box to look through his records for the information Kakuzu wanted. Out came a series of scrolls in various states of disrepair — some pristine, others bloodied, muddied or torn.

"Yes," said Kakuzu, leaning in the doorway still. "It is. Have you got anything?"

Sasori glanced up at him. His doll-like face revealed nothing about what he was seeking in Kakuzu's expression.

Kakuzu looked blankly back. His face, with only its glaring, bloodshot eyes visible, was probably about as expressive as Sasori's. He doubted he was revealing very much.

Deidara watched them both quietly from his perch in the window, where the rain streaked the glass. He always liked windows — probably because they represented the ability to launch himself beyond anyone else's casual combat range at any given moment. Here, he was enveloped in a second cloak, under the first, and had his occupied by a ball of clay that seethed with volatile chakra.

"They won't be able to kill him," Sasori reminded him, pronouncing each word slowly, like he was carefully selecting them, one after another.

"Get to the point." Frustration was a thing Kakuzu felt in his belly, alongside four auxillary, unhappy hearts. It was hot and writhing.

"Fine. We don't have to track Oda. You can just pick Hidan up after the massacre."

Kakuzu said nothing. Sasori's dead, glassy eyes watched him for the space of five disjointed heartbeats.

Oda Hiroto was the kind of shinobi personality that you had to track through secondary influences — he didn't really leave tracks, he left... symptoms.

Generally, he was a trafficker of civilians. To the powers that be, this was inconvenient in some ways: slavery was illegal, civilians died in the process, and he wasn't paying taxes. But of course he was convenient in others: slavery, however quiet, was remarkably effective at reducing overheads — lowering the costs of goods in the unregulated market, in the short term — and diminishing the bargaining power of labour.

Usually, you tracked down a bounty like that by following the money. But Oda rarely traded actual money. He moved goods around and leaned heavily on favours instead.

His bounty was low, because he was more annoying to the major villages than a real threat, and he would be annoying to track, so Kakuzu himself had never bothered. Unless he was coincidentally close and easy to grab, the cost of chasing him had never been worth the payoff.

A week ago, while rummaging through a mayoral office's records for mission-related blackmail, Hidan had blundered face-first into Oda's trafficking operation.

Then he'd dropped off the map entirely. He had not yet resurfaced. Obviously, he hadn't been killed.

So, yes. It was still a lot of time to find Oda. It was still going to be annoying to find him. His bounty was still low, so the payoff would be frustratingly slim.

But now, the line items had rearranged themselves, bright and cold in the ledger inside Kakuzu's head.

Oda's time was up.

"Hmm," said Deidara, in an unpleasant, edged voice, into what Kakuzu abruptly realised was an extremely tense silence.

"I'll look," Sasori said, finally. His voice was steady, but his eyes flicked towards the room's exit, past Kakuzu's bulk in the doorway.

Kakuzu clicked his tongue against his teeth.

"Then hurry up," he growled.

(hey guys, IRL Davis here)

(today (October 25, 2024) marks the 5-year anniversary since the premiere of "Mixels Watch")

(a collaboration between Mixels and Level-5 (creators of Yo-Kai Watch), it centers around Snoof, a somewhat arrogant and impulsive Frosticon, who, while lost in a forest, unlocks the secrets of a magic, talking key made of platinum, that not only turns into a wristwatch, but also gives him the ability to communicate with the ghosts of deceased Mixels)

(with the magic key by his side to keep him grounded, it's up to him (and later 2 other Mixels, but that's for later) to not only round up the specters, but also to understand the importance of living life to the fullest, especially in the face of numerous Mixels who never got the chance to do so before their untimely demise)

(the 1st season (which ran from 10/25/2019 - 12/27/2019), is about Snoof trying to find his way back home and beginning his quest of detecting any spirits that come his way)

(the reason behind the ghosts is that a certain Mixel (revealed later) has gone insane, becoming a murderous psychopath and cutting the lives of a handful of Mixels short. As such, Snoof is determined to complete any unfinished business that the ghosts had to deal with)

(since this is a collaboration with the creators of Yo-Kai Watch, there are MANY similarities in this show):

(the ghosts have the ability to possess (AKA inspirit) anyone they wish)

(the ghosts can be summoned using medals (or discs in this case) that are put into the watch (except here, it briefly makes the ghosts corporeal again, at least until their disc is removed))

(the color scheme on the watch's clock is the same as the Yo-Kai Watch's clock's color scheme)

(the Yo-Kai Watch tribe names (charming, eerie, shady, etc.) are included, with 2 ghosts for each tribe)

(a Yo-Kai makes a guest appearance in season 4 episode 6)

(each Mixel ghost has an ability they can use in battle (certain battle moves are taken directly from Calling All Mixels), similar to Yo-Kai, except in this case, it only happens when a Mixel is summoned)

(the summoning songs from Yo-Kai Watch season 1 are included, except instead of the summoning callout (once again done by Brent Pendergrass) mentioning their tribe (i.e. "Summoning Mysterious!"), it instead calls out the name of the Mixel being summoned (i.e. "Summoning Torts!"))

(the show's logo is the Mixels and Yo-Kai Watch logos spliced together)

(numerous tracks from the Yo-Kai Watch anime would appear in the show, alongside the pre-existing Mixels OST, which had been mostly absent in Mixels: 2035 and Mixels: The Golden Cure)

(Chilbo appears later on, except his voice (originating from Griffin Burns) sounds much closer to the voice of Nate Adams from the season 3 dub of Yo-Kai Watch (also by Griffin Burns), as shown by his delivery being more deadpan than before)

(the interesting thing to note about the last similarity, however, is that Chilbo had already been heard with this voice, specifically during his appearances in "The Twisted World of Mixels")

(I'm sure there's other similarities aside from what I just listed, but this is just the stuff I can remember off the top of my head)

hi! Love your models alot and was wondering how you uv unwrap them so the pixel art in the texture look /like that/ I also want to incorporate pixel art into my models but the uv unwrapping part really trips me up 🙏

hihi ! yea UV unwrapping can be very tricky and methods vary a lot across model styles, but here's my process:

my models are fairly blocky, meaning that (most) shapes can be broken down into a few "sides". here I've used seams to split sonic's body into 4 sides, so i can then easily unwrap it and adjust the UVs. using seams is very very useful to speed up this process, and it keeps things clean.

this can be seen very clearly in every character's hands ^ basically turning them into lil papercrafts!

with pixel-art textures specifically, there's a few things to watch for: when you unwrap, blender will sorta just orient the UVs however it wants, so it's important to adjust all your UVs to be upright (or just 90-degree aligned), otherwise you'll end up with diagonal pixels. personally, i have all my UVs snap to pixels (UV -> Snap to Pixels -> Corner) to easily align them and make measuring pixel sizes between UV islands much easier, we don't want mixels!!

this method does mean that i fiddle with pretty much every polygon to avoid pixel distortion .. a wiser person than i might know a good solution to this pshgjkfd. i try to have a rough pixel size in mind while modelling each part of a model, so that the mesh cooperates well with the textures.

when i start unwrapping a model, i create + assign the texture that i'll use, and then fill it with a checker pattern. this helps a LOT to check for pixel sizes and distortion during the process. then i can just start building the texture on top of this as i go.

i HIGHHLY recommend using the Pribambase blender plugin if you have aseprite for making textures; it links the two programs to let you edit blender textures on the fly, easily make new pixel-art materials, and adjust the world grid to your pixel size. vere good .
