Transcendent Enigma by Souv Boa par Souv Boa Via Flickr : maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Le%20Ranch/165/114/1102 To bring "Transcendent Enigma" to life, I used a mixed-media technique that combines different artistic approaches. The creative process begins by capturing scenes, elements, or characters in Second Life, providing a basic sketch for my artistic exploration. From there, I draw and sketch meticulously, breathing life into the initial composition. Through the use of materials carefully created or chosen by cutting out elements from other digital media, I incorporate additional layers of meaning and symbolism into my drawing to amplify the visual impact and attempt, as best I can, to create a multi-sensory experience. Throughout the creative process, I meticulously retouched and adjusted the composition, colors, shadows, luminosity, and textures, ensuring that each element resonated with my artistic vision. Using computer graphic painting tools, I give the work its final form, adding the finishing touches that evoke the desired emotions and atmosphere. "Transcendent Enigma," in my messy creative process, reflects my deep exploration and questioning of spiritual and philosophical themes. It's also an invitation to a transformative journey, unveiling the mysteries of existence and engaging in a contemplative search for meaning.

The daycare kids have taught Sun about a certain Tumblr holiday and the attendant has made a plan to celebrate.
Bonus Doodles:
Process below cut (also check the image description for a transcript of the sticky notes and blueprint)
A photo of the actual blueprint and sticky notes made for this drawing, the concept for the cardboard dagger and the paper I used to brainstorm Sun and Moon's written conversation.
Random process tidbits:
The blueprint was drawn on actual construction paper leftover from when I was a little kid.
The dagger is based on the coins Brutus had minted to commemorate the event.
I made 5 oopsie sticky notes when writing out the back and forth notes between the duo, such as the very first one where I accidentally used blue to write out all of Sun's message.
Sun writes in cursive as a nod to the animatronic's theater days. I imagine this dramatic bot was either programmed with or developed fancy handwriting for signing autographs.
I originally wanted to draw parts of the digital drawing in different styles to make this even more collage-like.

Sara Imloul (FR, Mulhouse, 1986)
Le Cordon Passages, (2015-2018, série primée), Mixed media, calotype, gelatin silver contact print on baryta paper, enhanced with ink, pencil and ferricyanide. 13x18 cm, edition of 7
Calotype or talbotype is an early photographic process introduced in 1841 by William Henry Fox Talbot, using paper coated with silver iodide. This process uses a paper negative to make a print with a softer, less sharp image than the daguerreotype.

"he would NOT fucking say that" but instead it's me going "he would NOT have gone to a doctor for an actual diagnosis for that"
#:p#I don't want to leave it on anyones fanart or fan comic or whatever#because there's some genuinely talented people and I don't want to just criticize their work over little things#but it's a mix of 'they wouldn't have a medical id because they think it's normal in their little world'#and 'there is no way they would go to a doctor and practice healthy coping techniques or take medication'#or the classic Charlie Kelly 'he can't even fucking spell whatever you're trying to diagnose him with'#...I think the type of characters that I enjoy in media may or may not say a lot about me as a person

I really don't like the feeling of glue sticking on my fingers and also cutting things out is really not how i wanna spend my time on this earth.
So i painted some random sheets of paper with acrylics and gouache and scanned them. Now i can just cut them and change the colors to what ever suits best digitally. And i think this is a method that suits so many ideas of mine, that i just couldn't get right until now. You'll see. It'll be great and awesome and textured.
A lil wip teaser of this technique:

trying out a new type of watercolour paper so dave gets to be my guinea pig
#art#traditional art#watercolour#oc art#ocs#oc group: dave#oc: dave#im trying out some of the fluid student grade stuff. i like their fluid 100 fully cotton stuff but if i can find a non 100% cotton paper#that works well with my painting style my wallet would appreciate it LOL so far it seems good!#i paint kinda weird because i hate lifting so much i dont do it and i hate when it accidentally happens#its a technique that has a lot of uses but none for me HJFDHBFSKD if i make a mistake and i dont wipe it away fast enough with my finger#then its just there now. it was meant to be LOL but yeah i dont do lifting so i get like#irrationally angry when im trying to layer something and it lifts. which is always a problem i have with watercolour paper thats not 100#cotton. and also for some reason the mixed media paper i use does well with layering too so i like it#but if i can find a nice thick not as wrinkly cellulose paper that lets me layer that would be very nice hJFJDKJFD#but i'll need to to test out this paper more. its promising it let me layer pretty well with daves skin (tho the shading is a little light)#(but thats because i put too much water in the mix RIP) and it seems the colours that are supposed to stain arent lifting which is good#(so many watercolour papers ive used have made my most staining of staining pigments lift which always bugs me LOL)#but we shall see!
