HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPLATOON 3!!! While we all celebrate the big splat fest and eagerly await side order, I thought I’d share my own little idea I’ve been cooking up for my own take on a DLC expansion. Splatoon 3: Mission Manta. Which would include a new playable race, the Mantalings.
the story would take place after splatoon 3's main story mode (and probably side order) where seismic activity was recently detected near the Inkopolis boarder line where the nearest agent of the NNSS, Agent 4 is sent to investigate along with sheldon. when the 2 arrive they investigate a damaged sewer line that has a massive fissure in it, where they discover the lost city of Mantlantis. original home of the Mantafolk and former trade capitol of the old world, which vanished overnight a little over 100 years ago just before the great turf war. turns out it was actually forced underground by a mysterious machine known as Dr. Balu.
Who has been using the descendants of those who were unfortunate enough to survive the capturing of the city as mindless workers via a special control collar that releases a special metallic ink into the wearers and a special frequency to manipulate their movements. however agent 4 and Sheldon are able to free one of the servants, a Mantaling by putting some headphones on em and playing the calamari incantation.
This person becomes agent M, who now must wander the sunken city to find a way to stop Dr Balu's plans once and for all,
Throughout the game you would be in contact with the various other agents and idols via a radio headset and big man would be the #1 lore expert on the place since its his ancestral homeland

Would you consider a request for teenage Suguru and Reader having meet-cutes when he attends missions? She's an amateur photographer who can see Curses, and is desperately trying to catch one on camera. He keeps finding her in dangerous places, but she's really persistent with it, even when he's telling her off 💀😶‍🌫️
Snapshots and Sorcery

A/N: Hi anon! Sorry this took so long. Thank you for such a cute and unique idea! I had fun writing this fic. Also I know that in JJK, Nanami specifically says cursed spirits don't show up in photos but let's ignore that and have this be minorly au-ish. Pairing: Teen! Suguru x Fem!Reader Warnings: None! Cute and fluffy. Word Count: 3.8k

The first time Suguru laid eyes on you, it was at a run-down museum that had shuttered closed years ago. The museum was already doing poorly long before it closed, unable to bring in enough revenue, until the bank had seized its assets, and the poor curator had hung himself from the neck of the apatosaurus model in the dinosaur wing.
It was rumored the apatosaurus was haunted, roaring and coming to life at night, thrashing around, and reducing the other exhibits to pieces. Sometimes, the occasional high school student would drop by and peek in through the windows on a dare, then hearing the eerie noises coming from inside the building, make a break for it. The ones that stayed too long were never seen again.
This is why Geto is here now, creeping stealthily through the museum, the eerie look of the shattered exhibits casting distorted shadows across the length of the corridors as he surveyed for the cause. Although he had been told the curse would most likely be haunting the dinosaur wing, he couldn’t shake off the feeling of another presence nearby, emanating a tinge of cursed energy, but not enough for him to believe it could cause him harm. Just as he’d entered the museum, he’d seen a quick flash of silver making a dash towards the back of the atrium towards the birds exhibit.
The displays looked uncanny, the taxidermied birds all out of place inside the glass displays, the ones that remained intact staring at him with unseeing, glassy eyes. It was unsettling, then as he rounded a corner, he saw another flash and breaks into a run. The sound of frantic footsteps fills his ears. Worried about losing his quarry, he quickly summons one of his curses, the manta ray one, and lets it loose, the creature quickly flying down the corridor. A shriek followed by muffled shouting fills the narrow space as Geto hurries to catch up.
Whatever it was got caught under the curse, wriggling like a mouse beneath a carpet. Cautiously, Geto calls off the curse and is surprised to see a human underneath. Defiantly, you lift your face to him, ready to fight to the death. For a second, your appearance throws Geto off—a beautiful face, followed by a lovely, feminine body.
“You’re not a curse.”
You scoff, fixing sharp eyes on him. “Well aren’t you a genius?” you ask sourly, sizing him up. Despite your irritation, you can’t help but notice the appeal of your assailant, the tall, broad youth with his hair up in a bun. Amethyst eyes focus on you and he seems temporarily at a loss of what to do next.
“What are you doing here?” Geto demands, acutely aware of how this could throw off his mission. No one had mentioned a civilian being present. You scowl and cross your arms over your chest, and that’s when he notices a strap dangling from your arm, and hanging from it, the source of the flashes of silver he’d been seeing; a fancy-looking point-and-shoot camera.
“None of your business,” you say stubbornly and Geto scoffs.
“It is my business if you’re going to cause trouble for me. What’re you carrying that around for anyway?” He gestures to the camera.
“Creepy, allegedly-haunted museum. Thought it would make for a good art study.” Your words were too crafted and came too easily, an evasive quality to them.
“Oh, right, and I’m just supposed to take your word for it?” Geto carefully studies you. Just enough cursed energy, but not enough to be a sorcerer.
“Well, why are you here?” You shoot his question back to him. “And what kinda uniform is that? I’ve never seen a student wearing that uniform around here before.”
Geto is about to reply, but he’s cut off as he senses a rapid movement of energy coming from the opposite side of the building. Whatever the curse was, it appeared to have scented him, and he had no time to waste chit-chatting.
“Look, I have something to take care of,” he says, urgency creeping into his voice. “If you know what’s good for you, please get out of the museum.”
“Why? It’s a free country. I can-” You stop as an unnatural, hair-raising shriek is heard, echoing from the opposite end of the bird exhibit. You shoot a look at Geto and both of you go tearing off in the opposite direction.
“I’m Geto Suguru,” he says as you both run, hearing heavy footsteps chasing after them. You manage to give him your name as both of you hurtle out of the birds wing and turn into the entomology section. The curse, thrown temporarily off track, pauses and goes in another direction.
“Look,” Geto says in a whisper, “You need to get out of here. It’s dangerous. I-”
“Then why are you staying? Isn’t it dangerous for you too?” Geto looks at you curiously and something in his brain clicks.
“You can see them, can’t you?” He asks, and for a moment, you’re startled, looking at him with wide eyes.
“Yes,” you admit after a beat. “Oh, God! Finally! Someone who can see them too!”
“What’s with the camera?”
“No one believes me when I tell them there are…things. So I was trying to catch one on film.”
Geto looks disbelievingly at you, then shakes his head. “Trust me, it’s not worth your life trying to get a picture of a curse. Now please get out of here so that I can exorcise it.”
“Exorcise? What are you, some sort of priest?”
“A sorcerer,” he admits.
“But this might be my only chance, I-”
“Trust me, it won’t be. There are curses everywhere. But this one is particularly powerful and nasty. Better luck with something less vicious.”
“But I-” You gasp as the curse suddenly makes an appearance, crashing through another entrance at the far end of the exhibit. It was truly grotesque, like a decaying dinosaur carcass come to life, with no skin on its body, eyes red and wild.
Geto immediately springs into action, calling forth another curse from his arsenal. You can’t tear your eyes away from the scene, your heart hammering in your chest as the handsome youth you had known for all of five minutes goes charging into the fray. The most strange and curious creatures came forth as he summoned them, a small agile human compared to the monstrous dinosaur he was fighting. You attempted to take a picture but with all the movement, each shot was blurred.
You’re praying nothing happens to Geto, then finally, 2 of his curses distract the dinosaur long enough for him to begin the exorcism. With a roar that shook the whole museum, Geto begins to suck the curse into his palm. You watch in wide-eyed fascination, the camera forgotten in your hands as the behemoth swirls into black mist, then becomes encapsulated into a black sphere contained neatly in Geto’s palm. Silence falls through the room, and with a shaky breath, you approach Geto.
“That was pretty neat,” you say, trying not to tremble. Geto looks at you, then at the orb sitting in his palm like a huge black pearl.
“Look,” he says sympathetically. “I can understand why you want to photograph a curse. But I’m also telling you it’s dangerous and you could get hurt. You could even die. Haven’t the reports of the missing high school students scared you enough to not want to see one ever?”
You shake your head no. “That’s not going to stop me. I need to prove I’m not crazy. Everyone thinks I’m a freak.”
“I know you’re not crazy. Isn’t that enough?” When you remain silent, he huffs in frustration. “Look, I know it sounds bleak, but trust me. It’s better to live knowing there’s someone who believes you, than dying trying to prove to everyone else that doesn’t.”
He pats your shoulder, a friendly gesture no doubt, but it sends a current of heat through your body, making you blush. You hoped the lack of lighting in the museum would hide your reaction to him.
The both of you walk together towards the entrance in silence, your heart hammering as you get outside and you see his face in the light. A handsome face, clearly on the brink of manhood, looks down at you with a stern expression.
“Well. Take care of yourself. And no more chasing curses. I hope we don’t meet again. At least, not under such grim circumstances.”
Before you could respond, he was walking away, vanishing into the night.
The days that follow are spent combing through the camera, but all photos of the curse were a waste, too blurry to be salvaged. However, there were several of Geto, and you can’t stop from poring over his face, remembering the way he’d moved and quickly contained the curse, effectively saving your life in the process. You hated to admit it, but you were smitten with him.
He had called himself a sorcerer. You wished you had asked for his phone number before he’d vanished. Partly because you wanted to ask him more questions, but also because you’d never had someone in your life who you could talk to about curses, as he’d called them. He knew you weren’t crazy. That thought gave you so much hope, that there was someone who believed you, who saw the terrible things you saw.
It had taken months for you to work out the curse’s location in the museum. You wondered if you managed to find another one…would he be there?
With that, you start an internet search, looking up haunted locale and areas reporting missing people within Tokyo.
»•» 📷 «•« “Not you again!”
Geto lets out an exasperated sigh as he sees you lingering near the entrance of an old, ruined temple, tucked away in an isolated, mountainous region outside of the city.
You grin, trying not to let on how eager you are to see him, almost skipping over to him as he rolls his eyes. Admittedly, it had been a chance to go to this location, but you couldn’t be more pleased that your guess was correct.
“You have a death wish, don’t you?”
“So do you if you work as a sorcerer,” you bite back, now next to him. Your trusted camera hangs from your arm and he groans at the sight.
“You still haven’t given up the idea of catching one of these things on camera?” he asks, irritated.
“Nope! And I figured, with a sorcerer by my side, I might actually capture a picture, and leave the place alive.”
Geto rolls his eyes at your persistence. “You are not following me in there.”
“Oh please. Like that’ll stop me.”
“This curse is too dangerous.”
“Do you just say that for all the curses you handle?” you ask in a bored tone.
“No. You just happen to be at places where the really dangerous ones nest. Are you like a magnet or something? Just…pulled in even against better judgment?”
“Then what does that make you?”
The defiant way you say it makes him snort. “I’m not here out of morbid fascination. I’m here because this is my job.”
He says the words with a touch of finality and turns to walk into the temple, then yells out in dismay as you run past him. He catches up to you quickly, grabbing hold of your wrist and making your heart pound in your chest which had nothing to do with the exertion from running.
“Don’t make me drag you out of here. I’ll place one of my curses near the entrance to watch you so that you can’t get in.”
When you continue to pout he sighs. “You really want a picture huh?”
You nod enthusiastically. “I really do.”
And I want to see you again.
The words form in your mind, unbidden. “Isn’t there any way you can tell me if a curse is dangerous or not? All I want is the one picture.”
“And you’d stop putting yourself in danger?”
“Yes! Promise!”
Geto tsks impatiently, wanting to finish his mission as quickly as possible, then relents as you continue looking at him like a puppy.
“Fine,” he says indignantly pulling his mobile phone from his pocket. “What’s your number?”
You blink. “You’re asking for my number?” You try not to sound breathless.
“Yes.” There’s a bite of impatience in his voice. “C’mon, hurry up I haven’t got all day.”
You quickly recite your number, and he saves it, sending you a text to confirm. Your face is a little too pink when you get his text, but you look at him neutrally as he heads inside.
“Please don’t follow me,” he says and there is a tinge of concern in his voice.
“Scout’s honor,” you say, striking the gesture with your fingers, and he throws you a glance over his shoulder that could’ve suggested amusement before being swallowed by the temple entrance.
Almost a month passes by before you see him again.
Geto was always busy and away on some mission or another. The last few curses had all been classified as a grade 2 or higher, so you hadn’t had an opportunity to take a picture just yet.
However, of late, he’d been texting you after getting back to his dorm room from missions, asking about your day and how you were doing. Used to being the weird girl, isolated, misunderstood, because you could see cursed spirits, you had never experienced this kind of amity before. You’d text him late into the night, waiting up for him sometimes until he texted first.
One night, you were restless. It had been weeks since you last saw him, and when he texted you, confirming he was back in the city, you boldly asked if he wanted to go into the shopping district with you. You didn’t need anything, but there was a weird emptiness inside you, a need to see him again, to convince yourself he was real, this person who finally understood the frustration you’d experienced your whole life. He was sympathetic to you, telling you that this was a classic age-old problem between sorcerers and regular humans.
“We’re kind of like the trash cans of society,” he says jokingly, sipping his milk tea as the both of you wandered through the streets, waiting at the signal light to cross. “We get rid of all the garbage that festers from normal humans, yet people always turn up their noses at us.”
You listen to him in fascination, quietly sipping your own tea. “I wish I could be a student at your high school,” you murmur. Geto’s expression changes slightly, as though he’s weighing what he should say next. The bright lights of the shopping district float around you as wait for his next words.
“I understand why you’d feel that way. But trust me you don’t.”
“Trust me I do. At least no one will think I’m the weird girl. No one will doubt me if I say I see something, because you can see it too.”
“Yes, but it’s also mission after mission. Death. Risking your life. You saw what happened at the museum.”
“But your life is so cool! You said you can control the curses you absorb right?” You falter at the look on his face, displeasure falling over it like a veil.
“Do you know how I absorb those curses?” he asks quietly, all traces of geniality disappearing from his voice. The unexpected harshness catches you off guard. Swallowing, you venture a guess.
“You put them into those spheres right?”
“That’s to contain them. Do you know what happens after that?” Geto looks like his milk tea was suddenly replaced by sludge. You meekly shake your head no, his demeanor starting to frighten you a little bit. “I swallow them. I literally eat them. Do you know what it’s like, eating a cursed spirit?” He pushes on, not bothered to hear your response.
“It tastes like a rag that’s been used to wipe up shit and vomit. And I do this over and over again because it’s what’s expected of me. I’ve never been allowed to make a choice that doesn’t surround jujutsu. I can’t leave, because what would happen to humanity, the non-jujutsu humans?” All the bitter feelings he’s been bottling up come spilling out. He couldn’t believe that you wanted his life, especially not after seeing the kinds of situations he’s put into regularly.
No one understood him, not even at school, because curse absorption was such a rare ability. Even if he tried to put it into words, he knew how everyone would react; like it was his duty to continue to do it even if he hated it, treated like some sort of heroic martyr for protecting the human race. For once, he’d love to be you, able to see cursed spirits, but having zero obligation to do anything about it. The appeal of the milk tea dissipates, and he throws it into a trash can, disgust lining his face as his feelings about sorcery start bubbling up.
“I can never think of having a normal life. Going into something other than sorcery, or to just have a selfish moment where if I don’t want to take on a cursed spirit, I can say no and walk away.” He starts walking faster and you’re almost sprinting to keep up with him.
“Geto!”
“You don’t understand how lucky you are! I’d pick being the class weirdo any day over having to absorb a cursed spirit.”
You hurry behind him, trailing in his wake, worrying you have ruined everything. “Geto please- I didn’t mean-”
“I’d love to be normal! To go on a date, maybe hold hands, maybe even kiss a girl if I get lucky! Where’s the time for that? If I’m absorbing cursed spirits all the time? I know what it tastes like! Who would want to be with me? Who would want to kiss me?”
You’ve both walked a reasonable distance from the main shops onto a waterfront shopping strip. It was quieter here, a pleasant breeze flowing through the night air as Geto heatedly walked towards the railing, you scurrying behind him. You manage to catch hold of his hand and to your relief, he doesn’t pull away.
“Geto.” Your heart aches for him. “I’m sorry I brought it up,” you mumble, wishing he’d turn around and look at you. He peers over the railing at the water, watching little lily pads float on the surface.
The silence between you both is deafening. Treading carefully, you try to talk to him again, keeping your voice gentle. “Geto, before I met you, do you know what my life was like? With everyone thinking I was a liar? Or that I was making up things to get attention?”
When he doesn’t say anything, you continue.
“I had no one. Everything changed when I met you. I felt like…someone finally gets it. And it’s not just me who can see those awful things. They really exist, and there are lots of people who can see them. It made me feel…a little less alone.”
He turns to look at you, his expression doubtful and your heart skips a beat as you realize you're still holding his hand, the tension between you both blossoming like springtime wildflowers.
“You said you wanted…to hold hands. To kiss someone.” You draw closer. “What would you do…If I said…I want to do those things with you?”
His eyes widen as you get closer but he doesn’t push away. “I’d ask you if you were sure because you might be making a mistake.”
You shake your head. “I’m positive I’m not making a mistake.”
His hand, the one you’re holding onto tightens around your smaller one and pulls you against him. You inhale, his skin smelling wonderful and his chest so big and broad and warm.
“Geto…” Your voice is lost amidst the tangle of nerves and rush of excitement, both hearts hammering in their chests. Shy inexperience made both of you blush before you raised your head, and Geto’s tips downwards, and your lips met gently, a subtle brush against the other before breaking away. You giggle awkwardly, unable to stop and Geto also grins sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.
“Um…that was nice,” he murmurs, not looking at you and chuckling, unsure what to say.
“Was that a good first kiss?”
“Oh!” Geto now laughs too but still doesn’t pull away, instead, maintains proximity with you, and brushes some loose hair away from your face. “Uh, yeah. It was…like how I imagined it.”
Silence falls between you both, not an uncomfortable one, but the kind where both kissers are considering if they should change topics or kiss again to make sure the first one wasn’t imagined.
Geto’s eyes suddenly widen as he sees something floating near your head. He pulls you close to him, then huffs as he sees a harmless flyhead, then with a jolt of realization, he taps your shoulder.
“Flyhead curse! It’s harmless! Take your picture now!”
“What?” you look over your shoulder and see the creepy-looking gremlin of a creature then gasp. “I don’t have my camera!”
“Phone! Quick!” Without hesitating, Geto reaches out and grabs the flyhead which struggles and buzzes angrily but is too weak to try escaping. It squirms and tries to sink its little teeth into Geto’s fist and he shakes it angrily.
“Hurry up!”
With hands trembling in excitement, you pull out your phone and quickly snap a crystal-clear picture the the ugly critter. It makes a low grumbling noise and Geto throws it away into the air. It mutters angrily at him before zooming away.
“Shouldn’t you have exorcized that?” you ask, looking in awe at the photo on your phone.
“Nah. It’s pretty harmless. Chances are it’ll get squished by a lower-rank sorcerer by daybreak.”
Your cheeks are red with happiness, triumph glittering in your eyes. “I can’t believe it, I actually got a picture of it…” You rake a hand through your hair.
Geto silently watches your outburst of enthusiasm, a smile tugging his lips. “So what’s more exciting - you finally catching a curse on camera, or the fact that you just had your first kiss and it was with me?” His voice is soft and teasing and you roll your eyes but fail to control the dusting of pink in your face.
“I think I need to experience it again before I can decide.”
“Is that right?” Suguru smirks before pulling you closer to him. “Let’s see if we can help you make a decision.”
You grin widely before your lips touch again, and you knew it had never been a question from the start.

Dc au- the bestest friends ever
Their dynamic means so much to me, this introverted kid from the sea that hasn’t been on land before being partnered with this walking traffic light who’s always pumped for a new adventure and never does what he’s told
Tails thinks he’s the coolest guy ever and wants to be his friend while Kit tries in vain to evade the power of friendship and wants to be professional cuz he’s too awkward to make friends and thinks Tails is annoying (at first)
I imagine during an attack on Gotham, Black manta this time, and Kit was pursuing him, damaging a lot of buildings in the process (caring about property damage is for losers) so Tails and Batman were trying to arrest them both until Tails (on his own) manages to get an answer out of him about the situation with black manta (cuz Kit frankly thought it was none of the land dwellers business)
So Tails insists on helping him despite Kit’s protests and together they mange to solve the mystery and arrest black manta
Kit recognises that Tails def has some cool skills Tails is like:
“Who knows, maybe next time your on land you could stop by Gotham and we can team up again!”
“…maybe.”
Tails has been upgraded to ‘potential ally’!
(As soon as Kit and Tails become officially friends, Kit lowkey becomes attached to him at the hip, usually standing next to him, going where he goes when their on a mission together like a silent shadow. They’re a package deal!!)

Aquababy Ghost Fenton
After being killed with suffocates by Black Manta, Aquababy Arthur Jr. landed in the Ghost Zone. The small ghost infant is discovered by Dani, who is very determined to seek justice for him. And after asking Skulker, who embark on a mission to avenge the infant's brutal death by eliminating Black Manta once and for all. Someone who does infanticide is always pretty hated by the whole Ghost zone and all the Ghosts; to kill him would earn Skulker much respect in the zone. Even Pariah Dark would destroy Black Manta out of disgust.
Dani promised that she would get Danny too busy with other things to go in his way and make the death brutal.
Deep in the ocean Skulker attacked while Black Manta was deep in the sea in a fight with Aquaman; he just cut the rebreather of Black Manta. So the sea did the job, as Manta died from the water pressure. He didn't even become a ghost, just a ghost larva. That Skulker killed it the moment it came into existence, so David Hyde was fully gone and could never return, but it was a nice snack for him.
Amity Park Dani was before Danny showed her new brother to him, Jazz, and the Fentons. It was easier than she thought, as she now has Arthur Fenton in the family. And the Fenton Parents loved the baby boy, as they build a new water room for him to sleep and life as Water baby. Jazz was talking in baby speech with him. Danny looked at his clone, but then accepted the new family member, Dani was happy she was able to distract Danny long enough that he didn't notice Skulker was gone to kill someone.
5 years Later Arthur Fenton pic was online, together with his Pre-school class for Halloween. Adorable Dressed up as Aquaman, looking just like his father but young with silver blonde hair.

I've got another sweet one: this time I'll protect you. Normally it's older siblings that protect their younger siblings but for this one time it's the (new) young justice that protects the team in a on the field mission or against a bad guy my question is who is protecting who from who or what?
Conner/Jon: Jon protecting him from kryptonite bullets/laser beams
Kaldur/Arthur: Arthur protecting him from black manta; shot some hooks that impaled Arthur
Dick/damian: Damian protecting him from a deadly sword stab from a giant goon with a Batman mask with red lenses (heretic reference)
Artemis/Connor: Connor protecting her by standing in front of her taking an arrow to the knee.
Hopefully this answers your question @we-cross-universe-king-relate let me know if you got more! :)

The temple curse Geto absorbs has a certain side effect; One that will strip away all the affects of his suppressants.
He calls Shoko immediately. There’s no one else he trusts. Yaga-sensei would find this a pain to deal with, not to mention Geto’s placement at Jujutsu High would be at risk if he’s seen as a liability, and-
Geto would rather claw his insides out then admit to Gojo about being the so-called “burden that would drag them down on missions.”
Using his manta ray curse, Geto gets himself back to campus grounds and rushes to the infirmary where Shoko has already prepared a room in the isolated basement.
Geto has never gone through a full heat, only diluted ones because of meds he began taking once becoming a jujutsu student. Everything completely overwhelms his senses. His body aches already, and he’s beyond light-headed.
Bless Shoko, man. She made sure to get some blankets, pillows, and clothes from Geto’s dorm to bring into the heat room. If she includes some of her clothes and Gojo’s jacket that she stole when he took it off to train just an hour ago, then that’s their secret.
“You know he’s gonna find out, sooner or later?” Shoko states, watching Geto gain a burst of energy as he meticulously arranges his nest.
“I have no idea who you’re talking about,” Geto says absent-mindedly, holding up a dark blue jacket that’s doused in the scent of cotton candy and faint gunpowder.
Shoko sighs heavily, about to point out the fact that Geto is currently hyper fixating on the exact jacket of who they’re talking about.
The sound of sniffles makes her bite her tongue.
There Geto is, holding the jacket up to his nose, clearly basking in the scent. Except tears pool in his eyes, the first few slipping down his cheeks.
“Satoru is going to h-hate me,” Geto chokes out. Shoko blinks, taken aback.
“He’s not going to hate you-“
“Yes he is! He- I lied to him! I’ve been lying to him,” Geto whimpers, subconsciously nuzzling into the fabric that smells like his best friend. The scent of a panicked omega fills the room.
Shoko quickly walks up to the bedside, putting her hand on Geto’s shoulder.
“Hey, it’s gonna be alright. Gojo may be petty, but you’re his closest friend! He adores you,” Shoko says softly, rubbing Geto’s arm comfortably.
Geto merely shakes his head, which begins to pound with a sharp pain. He can’t think rationally, the only thoughts pointing to Gojo’s betrayed reaction.
“I don’t want to lose him.”
“Geto…”
“Which is why you can’t tell him about this,” Geto concludes, eyes narrowed as he scrutinizes his friend. “Shoko, promise me.”
Shoko makes the promise. She says she’ll be in periodically to check on Geto, make sure he’s drinking water and eating what little he can stomach.
After Shoko leaves, Geto’s heat continues to burn him from the inside out. That night, he lays in his nest, which feels like it has a crucial piece missing.
The dark blue jacket lays shoved beneath his pillow.
***
Gojo knows something is wrong. He’s very irritable, snapping at everyone and everything. It doesn’t help that Geto hasn’t talked to him since that conversation.
Naturally, Gojo’s been replaying their argument in his mind over and over again.
Why did Suguru get upset?
Angry. He was angry, Gojo corrects.
The itch under Gojo’s skin continues to get worse. When there’s no sign of Geto returning on the day his mission was supposed to end, Gojo is positive something is wrong.
He goes to Yaga-sensei first.
Yaga-sensei doesn’t reveal anything, saying he hasn’t heard from Geto.
Gojo forgoes asking Nanami because apparently he's also pissed at Gojo for whatever he said the other day. Asking Haibara is out of the question.
So without anyone else to bother, Gojo heads to the infirmary.
Right as he enters the front door, Gojo is hit with the most intense wave of chocolate, with a hint of lavender. A scent he’s never smelled before, as that’s sure as hell not Shoko’s citrusy scent.
Like a moth drawn to a flame, Gojo heads for the stairwell that leads down into the basement. The scent grows stronger and stronger the closer he gets to the bottom.
A voice in the back of his mind tells him to fucking get a grip: a weird, enticing scent that has his body moving on its own? Major red flag.
But alas, Gojo isn’t thinking clearly. And he’s still hung up on how obviously upset and disappointed Geto was with him. If Gojo can’t do anything right in the moment, he may as well do what his instincts are telling him - to follow the scent of chocolate and lavender.
Unfortunately, the sound of footsteps coming up reveals Shoko, who blocks the path to the rooms in the basement.
“Gojo,” she acknowledges, a hint of surprise on her face. In her hands, she limply carries an empty tray.
“Yo,” Gojo says dumbly. Shoko clicks her tongue, unimpressed by the innocent grin Gojo sends her way.
“You can’t be here.”
Gojo levels her with a determined expression. His subconscious knows who is in the basement. Shoko knows there’s no stopping him, so she reaches up to pinch Gojo’s cheek - HARD.
“You hurt him, I make you wish you were never born.”
When Gojo walks into the room, his brain short circuits.
The scent he was smelling had belonged to an omega.
And that omega was Suguru.

Rides I think the Obey Me! Characters would dislike
Tw: motion sickness is mentioned
---
Mammon: Manta at Sea World Orlando
I think his voice box would be definitely strained afterwards from screaming. Definitely don’t think he’d enjoy the whole like laying parallel to the ground part. He seems like the friend who would pretend to not be scared of a ride, while actually being terrified and at the end of the day has no voice from how loud he was screaming.
Lucifer: Tower of Terror
I can’t explain it, but he gives me the vibes of someone who has definitely freaked out about getting trapped in an elevator, but he plays it off because of his pride so he would never let anyone know that the ride spooks him. He’s also a 1000% someone who’d go on the People-mover all day, which is definitely a mood sometimes.
Leviathan: Thunderbolt at Kennywood
It legit causes someone to pretty much sit on someone else’s lap. I think he’d be freaked out by that. If he rode it with the MC, instant nosebleed. I think he’d prefer to play the games or do rides where he’s not sitting directly against someone.
Asmodeus: A Bug’s Life at Disney World
The seats make it feel like bugs crawl on you. I think he’d hate that. Plus, you watch like a little Bug’s Life performance thing and it’s freaky (I also hated this attraction as a kid).
Satan: It’s a Small World at Disney
Somehow, he would get stuck in there. The ride would then be closed for the next five years because of how angry he’d get about the song. It would be entertaining though for MC if they’re chaotic.
Beelzebub: Mission: Space at Disney World
This ride is motion sickness devildom (lol see what I did there). He gives the vibes of the family member who has to sit in the front seat or next to a window because he gets really bad motion sickness and feels guilty the entire time.
Belphegor: Black Widow at Kennywood
I don’t think he’d vibe with the swinging and the spinning. I think he’d get really dizzy and annoyed by it. Especially because it’s longer than it needs to be. He also seems like the type to get headaches from rides that spin too much.
Diavolo: Raptor at Cedar Point
This man is beefy. Truly I don’t think he’d like rides that have over the shoulder harnesses because they squish him. I think if you asked though, he’d still go with you on any rides because you asked. Also, I feel like if you’re plus size/chubby and nervous about fitting on a ride, he would 1000% make it seem like he was the problem if you don’t fit on the ride. He is a 100/10 character to go to a theme park with.
Barbatos: Exterminator at Kennywood
This is the entire reason I thought of this idea. I love this ride, but Exterminator with it’s OG theming (pre-making an express lane when it had good theming) would have freaked Barbatos out because it’s all about rats taking over a city. Like the whole ride is rat themed and you’re in a car that looks like a rat “trying” to escape exterminators.
Simeon: Pipeline at Sea World Orlando
I think he’d dislike the whole standing while on a rollercoaster. I think he’d just dislike Sea World in general because of the ethical issues with it. I feel like his least favorite part would be getting off the ride and his legs being all shaky because of it.
Luke: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Disney World
I think it would mostly be the jokes the brothers would make at his expense in line.
Solomon: Invertigo at King’s Island
I think he’d hate the possibility of going backwards on a rollercoaster. I think he’d also hate rides like the Music Express at Kennywood or Matterhorn at Cedar Point because it only goes in a circle.
Mephisto: All of them
He just gives those vibes. I’m sorry he just does to me. I feel like he would be one of those people who are there for the vibes, probably go on a couple of the chiller rides like the Merry-Go-Rounds or join Lucifer on the People Mover (which would be amusing to watch).
Thirteen: None
A 10/10 character to go to a theme park with if you want a ride buddy, she’ll go on everything with you.

To the Anon who sent us an ask today:
We’re sorry that you feel like the Pond has not met your needs. To prevent further confusion about what we are and what we try to do, here is a reminder:
The Pond was created by Mana and Kale with the intention of bringing new authors and established writers together to help share and encourage creativity. This is an open place for writers to ask questions, meet new people/writers, get tips/advice/help with fics, running your own blog, and writing in general. We have expanded our mission to include readers, because without readers, writers are nothing!
We currently have five Manta Rays, three of whom are active Admins, and one who is our Founder and Admin Emeritus. (Admin Emeritus means she is not involved in the day-to-day dealings of the Pond.) Our goal is to maintain a space where people can interact with each other as and where they choose without fear of reprisal for their interests. As our conduct rules state, we do not allow discrimination in our waters for any reason. If you choose hate, you will be removed.
Because we love this community, we try to do more than just have this space exist. We try to create activities to inspire you and encourage connections between our members. We take time out of our lives to try and decorate our little space as best we can.
While we encourage connection, we do not require it. We have over 400 members on our member list, and we hear from maybe a dozen or so on a regular basis. That’s fine. We are here to add to the world, not take away from it by requiring interaction.
Now that you know what we are, here are some things that we are not.
We are not a 24/7 service for support of any kind, especially mental health. We are not qualified in any way, shape, or form to be that.
We are not experts in anything. Those with more experience share their experiences with those who have less experience.
We are not able to stop cliques and other sub-groups from forming inside the Pond. People are people, and people will people with other people as and how they choose. We are here simply to encourage people-ing and writing.
We understand that you feel underserved by the Pond, and hopefully, this explanation of what we are, and what we are not, helps you to understand what we can and can not do. If this does not, then please contact an admin privately with details so we can address your problem directly.

June of (minimal) Doom 2024 Day 29 - I'm so cold
Suguru does not expect the curse to explode in a flurry of ice. The curse had shown no signs of that power when they fought it, but now that it’s done for, ice shards appear all over it, right before it goes off, a wave of biting cold crashing into Suguru before he manages to hide behind one of his own curses, keeping the shards at bay.
He spares a brief thought for Satoru, but with his Infinity it’s unlikely that the shards can harm him and so Suguru concentrates on protecting himself for now.
It goes on for longer than he cares for but eventually the cold dies down a bit. Suguru huddled himself together with a curse that runs hot, so he’s not too affected and none of the shards made it through his other curse, so he’s perfectly fine.
“Well, that sucked,” Suguru says as he stands up and hears Satoru laugh from his right.
“You can say that again,” he gives back and Suguru throws him a grin as he looks over to him.
Just like he expected Satoru is completely fine, the mess of ice around him testament to the fact that nothing could get through Infinity and despite everything, Suguru breathes a little bit easier when he sees it.
“Ready to head home? For once, this mess is bound to clean itself up,” Suguru says with a shrug, because the sun is high in the sky and the ice is bound to melt soon enough.
“So ready,” Satoru agrees, a little bit too eagerly and Suguru narrows his eyes at him.
It’s unusual for Satoru to not insist on getting some sweets on their way back and it’s enough to set warning bells off in Suguru’s mind.
“You okay?” he asks, not beating around the bush with Satoru but his concern is only met with a scoff.
Suguru doesn’t know why he even expected anything else, this is Satoru after all, and he’s chronically allergic to someone caring for him.
“Peachy,” Satoru immediately replies, trying for a cheerful tone but Suguru doesn’t miss how his voice shakes.
It’s worrying, to say the least, especially since Suguru knows that Satoru is not going to ask for help, no matter what, and so he just decides to keep a closer eye on him for now. If something is wrong, like Suguru thinks it might be, then eventually Satoru won’t be able to hide it anymore and Suguru will be there when that happens.
“Meet in my room for a movie?” Suguru asks as he calls upon the manta ray curse he has, because it’s their most trusted way to get home after a mission like this and Satoru hops on without hesitation.
“Sure,” Satoru mutters, keeping his hands in his pockets, his shoulders hunched over and Suguru fights the urge to push him off the curse.
He hates that Satoru is so unable to talk about himself when he doesn’t feel well and Suguru wishes he would just confide in him every now and then.
“Great,” he still gives back and then doesn’t prod Satoru for the rest of the way, because he needs to figure out how to approach this first.
Satoru is bound to lie right to his face should he simply ask, so Suguru has to figure out another way to find out what’s going on with him and for all that they are close, he’s not certain he can, if Satoru doesn’t want to tell him.
When they reach the school and hop off the curse, Satoru immediately walks over to Suguru’s room, leaving Suguru to scramble after him.
“Hey, don’t you think we should shower first?” he asks as they step into the room but Satoru only shrugs.
“You can go. I have Infinity, I don’t have to.”
“Yeah, but the cold—” Suguru starts but then trails off when he realises that that is exactly what’s wrong with Satoru.
He reaches out to snatch one of Satoru’s hands in his and just like he feared it’s ice-cold, the skin almost blue and Suguru’s stomach drops.
“Satoru, you’re freezing!”
“The curse didn’t touch me though,” Satoru mutters, and Suguru fights the urge to slap him over the head.
He doesn’t understand why Satoru is so hell-bent on being invincible when they learned early on that Infinity doesn’t work on temperature and his current state is just proof of that.
“And I’m not that cold,” Satoru then adds which is just more worrying in Suguru’s opinion because now that he looks, he sees that Satoru’s lips are blue as well.
He thinks Satoru should probably be shivering and if he remembers correctly it’s a bad sign that he isn’t. Suguru wrecks his brain on what to do in case of hypothermia and he thinks he remembers that a slow approach is crucial, so the system doesn’t get shocked.
“Come on, let’s just lay down for a moment, okay,” Suguru tries softly, as he drags Satoru towards his bed because he’s running cold all the time, so he has a heated blanket.
It’s probably easier to get Satoru to lay down on it than it is to wrangle him into a shower.
“’m not tired,” Satoru whispers out and Suguru gives him a shaky grin.
“But I am. Will you keep me company for a while?” he asks, and he’s aware that it’s a little bit unfair, but just like Suguru runs cold, he’s also prone to nightmares and he always deals better when Satoru is close. He even has his own futon for Satoru in his room, just for those nights.
It’s not quite fair to use that fact to his own advantage right now, but Suguru can’t find it in him to mind when Satoru does climb onto Suguru’s bed and settles under the blanket when Suguru prods him to.
Suguru quickly switches the blanket on at a lower temperature, hoping that it’ll be enough to bring some warmth back to Satoru and he doesn’t hesitate to get into bed himself, settling in front of Satoru, so there’s no way he can simply run off when he finds out what Suguru is doing.
He’s not sure if it’s a good thing that Satoru’s eyes almost immediately slip shut, but he’s not about to wake Satoru back up and instead just scoots closer, remembering something about body heat as well.
It supposedly works better skin on skin, but he’s not about to strip Satoru and raise any more questions from him, so this has to be enough. While Satoru drifts off as soon as his eyes are closed, Suguru stays awake, worrying and checking Satoru’s hands every other minute.
His phone is nearby in case he’ll have to call for Shoko, but after not even fifteen minutes Satoru’s hands start to warm up and his lips regain their previous colour, so Suguru guesses Satoru is out of the woods for now.
Still, he doesn’t turn off the blanket and he doesn’t move away either, at least not until Satoru sluggishly blinks up at him.
“I’m all good,” he says, startling Suguru who was zoning out a little bit and Suguru huffs out a breath.
“Yeah, now maybe,” he mutters, pulling Satoru close and bonking his forehead against Satoru’s. “But you weren’t and you lied to me about that.”
There’s a brief silence before Satoru speaks again.
“Sorry. Didn’t wanna worry you.”
Suguru rolls his eyes, because they both know that’s not possible; it’s basically Suguru’s job to worry about Satoru and he does so all the time anyway. Satoru pretending to be fine only makes matters worse.
“I would worry less if you were honest with me,” Suguru gives back, trying to keep his voice soft, even though it is a reprimand and Satoru scoots a little bit closer.
“I’ll try to remember that,” he offers and Suguru knows that it’s the only thing Satoru can offer him.
Suguru doesn’t know why Satoru is so adamantly against admitting that maybe he’s not completely invincible, even just to Suguru, so he’ll have to take this and hope for the best.
“Are you still cold?” he asks and tucks the blanket more securely around them.
“Kind of too hot actually,” Satoru admits and Suguru immediately reaches over to turn the blanket off.
“I’m not going to let you move, yet, though,” he then says and isn’t too worried about Satoru running off on him when he snuggles further into the pillow.
“Fine by me,” Satoru agrees and then apparently dozes off again.
This time, worry isn’t keeping Suguru up, so he follows close after him.
~*~*~
“Suguru!” Satoru yells out as he barges into Suguru’s room and Suguru muffles his groan in his pillow.
It’s too soon for Satoru’s antics and he would love to tell him to get the fuck out but that would mean he has to move and even speak and Suguru is not about to do that.
Sleep is still clinging to him, despite the rude way Satoru just woke him up and he knows that if he were to engage with Satoru right now, it would slip right through his fingers.
“Suguru, I’m so cold,” Satoru whines out, coming to a stop right next to Suguru’s bed, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
Suguru only grunts as he barely manages to lift the blanket up a bit but it seems to be enough because not even a second later Satoru is sliding into bed with him, pushing Suguru further towards the wall and then cocooning them right in with the blanket again.
It would be annoying, if Suguru wasn’t still so sleepy, the bed still so warm, and Satoru now close enough to curl up against his side and he drifts back off with a smile on his face.
~*~*~
It keeps happening. Satoru somehow keeps ending up in Suguru’s bed, always claiming he’s cold and sometimes truly being that as well.
Suguru suspects what’s going on after about the third time it happens but he doesn’t say anything until he sees Satoru run around in nothing but shorts and a t-shirt outside even though it’s cold enough to warrant a snow warning for later that day.
It’s absolutely no surprise when Satoru barges into his room not even three minutes later, his trademark grin on his face.
“Suguru, move, I’m freezing,” Satoru exclaims, moving to get into bed before Suguru can even say anything and it’s only when Satoru is relaxed on his side, their legs tangled together that Suguru lets out a sigh.
“You don’t have to do this, you know,” Suguru softly says and immediately Satoru tenses.
“Do what?” he carefully asks and Suguru sighs again even as he reaches out to pull Satoru closer.
He makes a startled noise, clearly not expecting to be pulled flush against Suguru’s body and Suguru thanks all the gods for the fact that he’s still sleepy, because otherwise his face would be bright red by now, he’s certain of it.
“Lie. Freeze yourself to death.”
“I’m not—I can go,” Satoru offers, his voice quiet and unsure and he’s still so very tense.
Suguru can’t have that, so he nuzzles against Satoru’s face.
“No, you can’t,” Suguru tells him, tightening his grip on Satoru in the process as well. “I’m just saying—you don’t have to lie if you want to get into my bed so badly. I’m not gonna kick you out. I like you here.”
“Here,” Satoru repeats and clearly takes stock of where exactly he is.
He’s pressed against Suguru head to toe, their legs tangled, Suguru’s arm around his middle, their faces so close together they might as well be sharing their breath.
“Like this?” Satoru still asks and Suguru blinks up one eye at him.
“Exactly like this,” he confirms and leans in to brush his lips over whatever skin he can reach without moving too much.
Satoru thankfully helps by tilting his head just right, so it’s not long before they meet in a kiss.
“Please stop freezing yourself,” Suguru says when they part and Satoru chuckles, clearly embarrassed.
“I was kind of obvious, huh?”
“So very,” Suguru agrees and then shushes him with another kiss when it seems as if he’s going to say something else. “Please just sleep. We can talk about how embarrassing you are later.”
“Well, you seem to like it, so that makes you embarrassing, too,” Satoru argues back but his voice is quiet and he’s soft in Suguru’s arm.
“Yeah, guess so,” Suguru easily agrees because it makes them embarrassing together and that is really all that matters to Suguru. “But we’re that together.”
There’s a brief silence before Satoru huffs out a laugh.
“You’re such a sap,” he says and snuggles even closer to Suguru, clearly knowing that Suguru doesn’t mind.
“Mh,” Suguru manages to hum out before he drifts off again, his Satoru in his arm and being comfortably warm.
That’s going to change soon, he knows, because it always gets incredibly hot with Satoru under the blanket as well and Suguru will wake up sweat-soaked and disgusting but even that is something he’s looking forward to, because it means Satoru is right there.
Right where he belongs.

Who Am I Really?
Chapter 6
Fandom: Aquaman
Pairing: Ormxfemale!Reader
Warnings: oral/fingering, female receiving
Summary: Arthur finds who is searching for Orm, Orm and YN enjoy a swim
Tumblr media
Arthur finally found a decent clue. One of the witnesses led him to a small group of soldiers, led by a noble named Artrax. Artrax had heard stirrings from one of the witnesses about seeing Orm and had gone to investigate himself.
“I was worried that your family ties would blind you to what needed done,” Artrax explained, sitting in Arthur’s office. “I know that your mother loves both her sons very much, and you were no fan of seeing him rotting in prison.”
“No one wants to see their brother in a cell, but I knew what he did. He almost killed my father and then my son. Honestly, I don’t see Orm as a brother, or even as a true Atlantean,” he said. “I understand your caution though.” Arthur was scrambling. “Now that I know what you are doing, perhaps we can speak further and work together to investigate these sightings…”
“No, I already sent men out to investigate, they didn’t come back. The tyrant king is out there, and he has not stopped his murderous ways. We must be vigilant. I am not sure where they found him, but I have sent out more soldiers, I will see what they bring back and if I feel it is of concern to the crown I will tell you,” Artrax said. Arthur frowned. This noble seemed to be on a mission, not just wanting to bring Orm in, but perhaps kill him.
“Why so intent on finding the former king?” Arthur asked. “What are your plans if you find him?”
“I think we can all see that Orm is a danger to us all. His father was a dictator, and his son was the same. This city needs that line to end. I will see to it that it does end. In honor of all those lost to Orm’s foolish warmongering,” he said. “The day that Orm set up that attack from the surface, with that Manta fellow, my son was there, one of the guards. He died trying to protect that maniac. I expect blood for blood.” Artrax bowed his head and left, leaving Arthur back to square one. He needed to find Orm, fast.
YN could not believe how hot it was so early in the summer. She had woken early, leaving Orm in bed asleep still, and went to do the chores and get the dogs playing before the heat got to an unsafe level. She had just finished getting them back inside when she heard Orm come in the front of the shelter, calling for her. She popped out, tying her hair up again and wiping her face.
“I could have helped,” he said, leaning to the counter. She was glad that they were closed that day considering he hadn’t put on a shirt. She wasn’t sure anyone coming in would want a puppy, they were going to try to adopt the Atlantean when he looked like that. He noticed the staring and smirked. In one swift movement he pulled her close, put her on the counter and pushed himself gently between her legs, kissing her deeply. She moaned into the kiss, caught by surprise at first, but soon she put her arms around him. She forgot how hot it was outside and could only focus on his mouth, kissing at her lips, then her neck, then her collarbone. She felt his hands sliding up her skirt, hooking the hem of her underwear, and working them down her legs. She leaned back, having to steady herself with a hand as Orm rolled up her skirt, kissing at her inner thigh before looking up at her with another smirk.
“You…are…not…fair,” she panted as she felt one of his fingers probing her entrance, teasing around it slowly, wetting it with her arousal.
“Do you want me to stop?” he whispered, finger pushing inside her. She inhaled sharply as she felt his tongue swirling over her also. She couldn’t form words as he worked in another finger, pumping her slowly at first. Soon her hips started moving to his hand and he increased his speed, curling his fingers so she would feel it more. He moved to lean on her leg, still kissing at her thigh while he watched her. He loved how she looked when he did this to her. When she arched back, calling him name and he felt her hit her climax he smiled. He gently fixed her skirt, kissing back to her lips.
“I love you,” she said, still in a haze. She realized what she said after a moment, and she blushed but didn’t take it back. Orm stared at her before kissing her again.
“I love you too YN,” he whispered. “Come on, it is sweltering, lets go swimming.” She got up and grabbed her underwear from the floor, trying to find her footing. They went and changed, well she changed, Orm didn’t seem to care if the shorts he wore got wet. She met him down at the shore of the lake. He was standing on the edge, feeling the water in his system. It made him feel invincible. She watched him as he inhaled.
“Do you remember anything about the water?” she asked. He tried to think.
“I remember swimming, a lot, obviously. I remember fighting, something, some kind of battle, I’m not sure about what or what I was doing there,” he answered. YN frowned, taking his hand. He pulled himself out of the memories and smiled at her. “Let’s swim.” They headed into the water and let the cool water refresh them.
YN was floating on her back when she heard Orm. He was groaning, like one of his nightmares was happening. She looked around, seeing him floating for a moment before sinking further into the water. She wasn’t worried, once they realized he might be Atlantean they had come out here to see about how water affected him and she knew he was fine, maybe he fell asleep. She swam under, seeing where he was, curled up on the floor of the lake and she let him nap.
Orm was back in his dreams, in his memories, and they were more vivid than ever before. He wasn’t sure what was going on, but his brain felt like it was being pierced with needles as images and names came rushing back to him. He finally opened his eyes, seeing the lake bottom with new eyes. He remembered. He remembered everything.
