Really sorry to bother you but since from few days the gcft talk was going on on twitter i was wondering if you have a post about "Tokyo trip was supposed to be vminkook and not jikook" the famous claim by tkkrs..i know it's not but i kind of want a series of events together and why they think like that. I did went through your "jikook posts" scrolled through some but don't know how to get till that post (if you have made one). Ah, I believe that the um, misconception comes from (or they twist the words of) this interview where Jimin says that he once told V and JK that he wanted to go on a private trip to Tokyo one day. Not that they planned to go on one together the 3 of them and the plans fell through or even that any plans were made at all. Jimin just shared that he once expressed a desire for a vacation destination to his best friends at some point in the past. And then eventually he and JK did get to go on and enjoy that vacation together and it meant a lot to him.

They also say that he was supposed to go but ended up not being able to because of family obligations (no evidence) because Tae posted a video of him in Osaka Universal Studios in Japan on Halloween at the same time on a family vacation.

But clearly as mentioned in the first interview and in the book they recently released, it was clearly something the two did together, no one else was "supposed" to be there or left out lol

And just because vminkook were all in Japan at the same time doesn't mean they were sneaking off to meet up secretly the 3 of them, or that it was supposed to be a trio trip where Tae just got pulled into family obligations instead. They just traveled over a small break period to two different cities and enjoyed their time off with the people they wanted and were able to. Jikook together and Tae with his family. And all enjoyed Halloween amongst the crowds and the people masked and undetected lol! Osaka and Tokyo are 6.5 hours away from each other people. They were on opposite sides of the country for their trips 😂😂 still everyone clearly had a BLAST!! Well first there's the ahaha they're both blue in the dream world that my cracktheory is based on but also when u start looking at the nightmare creatures you actually get more parallels

Both of them are entangled w the nightmare king n the other nightmare creatures in a way the other characters aren't (night hunter is an outlier n should not be counted)

For lunia spoilers but she basically created the nightmare king n by extension all the nightmare creatures we don't know what she thinks about the creatures but the nightmare king was her best friend

And for logan well who does the nightmare king decide to manipulate to get what he wants? Him he's the person that starts befriending the creatures (well mostly sneak) instead of beefing on sight

He's the one they use to spy on the others n he basically turns into a monster which it's not really clear what he turns into but based on the others reactions when they first see his transformation I'd say he probably resembles a nightmare creatures to some extent

Answering the other anon’s question about Saige and Damien with what I’ve gathered from the internet…heads up, this is long! Sorry in advance!

First, I need to preface this by saying, this information is provided to satisfy curiosity only. This new community being cultivated seems to keep discussions to themselves and leave the Smosh cast alone, which is awesome. When this stuff first happened, Saige stans and Damien stans took sides and started being toxic and spreading rumors and misinformation. Really don’t want that to happen here. Warning done? Cool!

Saige started working at Smosh at the beginning of 2021. Damien stated in a stream that he quickly developed a crush on her. It’s not clear when they first started dating but by November 2021, they had moved in together and confirmed their relationship. They made regular appearances on each other’s streams (clearly in different rooms of the same residence). They did couple’s costumes in Halloween and in his end of the year post for 2021, Damien called Saige the “love of his life”.

Damien bought Saige concert tickets to a show she wanted to see, they would show snippets of their outings (a picnic, the Ren faire), and they travelled to Italy together.

Professionally, SmoshGames partnered with Twitch in the fall of 2020. Saige had started PixelCircus at the same time but it was just beginning so I think she agreed to be hired by Smosh to help with their Twitch content. I think the streams did modestly. There was some drama about how it was clear SmoshGames was just in it for the money versus “normal” streamers being in it for the community. (I think at the end of the day, any monetized channel is in it for the money but that’s another story.) Speculation also arose around doing things live on Twitch causing issues for the cast and scheduling. Regardless, what happened was SmoshGames ended their Twitch streaming in March 2022. Saige started appearing in less content although she still went with Smosh to Vidcon 2022. I don’t think she was as visible as everyone else though. Matt Raub left Smosh in July 2022. This is speculation but I assume he had something to do with hiring Saige so with him gone and the Twitch gone, I think Smosh decided not to continue with Saige. They also hired Angela, Chanse and Arasha at this time.

Saige didn’t get an official departure notice, but people started to notice she wasn’t in Smosh content. She confirmed only in October 2022 that she no longer worked for Smosh. In the meantime, I think her content creation and viewership with PixelCircus picked up. She was going to more tabletop conventions and whatnot. At one point, she had to quarantine from Damien because she caught something at one of them.

Their exact breakup date is not public. Presuming that Damien is a supportive partner, it’s telling that he liked all her IG posts before September 12, 2022 and nothing after. Again, it’s not confirmation of anything but it’s likely they broke up some time after that. Saige also mentioned in her fall 2022 streams that she was moving. (This is much later but they completely unfollowed each other on social media by May 2023.)

When Saige confirmed to her fans that she left Smosh in October 2022, I assume some of her fans thought something was wrong with Smosh. Saige fed the flames by stating in her discord that while she didn’t say anything that “isn’t lawyer approved”, “everything else is a guess or logical conclusion of an intelligent community”. This wasn’t great but what really stirred things in up was a fan making accusations about Smosh being toxic except for Damien in November of 2022 and Saige LIKING that tweet. At this point, I think the bridges were burned and connections severed.

You can leave a company but you probably shouldn’t support someone calling your ex, your former workplace and his coworkers/friends toxic if you want to maintain any sort of relationship. From that point on, I think they just don’t acknowledge each other. Damien and Saige were both at GenCon this year even and promoted completely separate events.

So, that’s what I know. Mostly pulled from Twitter, some Tumblr and IG sleuthing. Saige and Damien did seem happy so I’m sad they didn’t work it out and this is how the relationships, both personal and professional, ended.

It’s not really clear why Damien and Saige’s personal relationship ended. It might seem like it was because she stopped working at Smosh but we’ll never really know. In my personal judgement, from afar and definitely with incomplete information, it does seem like Saige is a bit immature. Maybe a bit of a narcissist. Around this time too, Damien started to experience some breakthroughs and epiphanies about his neurology and mental health, so that may have helped him realize if he was in any unhealthy situations. (Since he’s neurospicy, kind and socially awkward, I think he was probably easy to take advantage of.)

Anyway, hope this answers the previous anon’s question. At the end of the day, I hope both of them continue to improve their mental health and find happiness. It just won’t be with each other.

hi guys, super quick, blameless PSA about submitting posts to this blog! if you provide a statistic about ADHD, i am going to try the best of my ability to fact check it beforehand. there’s a lot of misinformation out there these days and i think it’s important that we don’t contribute to that.

i received an anon in my box claiming that only 5% of adults with ADHD have college degrees. this sounded vaguely believable to me, but also a suspiciously dramatic statistic especially since it probably wasn’t encompassing global statistics and rather a western demographic. i only did one search online so this isn’t exactly thorough, but i did find that chadd.org had some resources stating that 15% of young adults with ADHD had a 4-year degree, as opposed to the control group of 48%. still a staggering difference, and admittedly also without stating where the samples were taken. i wonder if anon’s misunderstanding could have come from a misquote of the estimation that 2-8% of college students have adhd. just a theory though.

i love the idea of sharing statistics and research here with you all, but i encourage you to provide sources if you intend to do so — not because i don’t believe you, but because a citation is a perfect opening for someone to do more research and reading on the topic.

When I was in high school around early 2000s I joined “gay straight alliance”. During that time I studied the numbers of those apart of the lgbtq+ were discriminated against in schools when identifying as lgbtq+ and how schools felt with that. It grabbed the attention to our local news paper asking me to make a commentary piece in it. Mind you I was a junior in high school.

I wrote the piece with facts and proof how it was still on going. How schools need to change their policy on “S.H.” To included those apart of the lgbtq+ community. We brought a visual with desks that showed what daily life was like for those who are lgbtq and stories of people murdered based on their sexual and gender identity.

That summer school changed their policy, adding sexuality and identity of lgbtq+ being included based on things I said and did. In my senior year. I was saved by said policy. And here is how. I was in a class where I helped with disabled teens (since I couldn’t do p.e. For my health) there was a student who I friended and who begin reporting false reports I was making advanced on her. This was only when she found out I was a trans. Every day I was pulled out of class for false reports.

On Halloween i was nearly kicked from school till my parents slept in and explained what was going on since apparently nobody else would listen to me. I was was having panic attacks over this. Like imagine this. You’re in a class and being pulled out of it by a police officer to tell you to quit making advances on someone who you weren’t making advances towards. Yeah. That!

The school then finally recognized I was the true victim. Sadly their way of dealing with it was locking me in a class room for my safety I stead of dealing with the student making the false reports. My friends (bless them) took me side and went after the person and called them out on their behavior once they knew what happened.

The person left our school. This person used their religious belief to S.H. Me and make false reports because they thought they could get away with it. So…….

With all that going on in the Linked universe with this server. And then publicly posting (we got recites idiots) of their true behavior and such. Reminds me of this all over again. So no! I Will not let this happen again. NO WHERE IN YOUR RELIGION GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO TARGET US IN THIS FANDOM. YOUR VIEW IS FAKE NEWS! (Also don’t quote the Bible, cause Bible was written like a fanfiction by people who had no connection to god/goddesses.)

So this my personal experience on this issue. Do I hate religion. No. I think religion is good in helping people better themselves in a spiritual side. However nowhere does religion excuse the amount of judgment a person makes. God/Goddesses love you no matter who you are. If your lgbtq+ they love you. If you believe differently (region wise) they love you. Racially different, you were loved.

Along the line of schools showing porn to children, people who have been found to be false. In elementary all we learned in separate gender classes about what to expect from our body changes. Middle school to high school was about being smart and using protection and about sexual transmitted disease. Nothing bout sexuality. Which was hardly touched on. Nothing pornagraphic! Doubt they are doing that even now! Your proof and reports are in fake reports. So hi. We are calling you out because you’re the reason majority of those who identify as lgbtq+ and such are the target of misinformation and people with dangerous ideology. Ones where many may ender their life due to your comments. To lot worst. So don’t “@“ me. I won’t respond, but will expose you, so people know who not to trust.

I am here to protect my fellow people. You didn’t need to say what you said, because now we all know in a app and fandom surrounded by people of all walks of life. Who we know not to trust. Gender affirming surgery is necessary. I know each state delt with that differently and yes a small percentage detransition. However Majora is medically necessary. Many doctors refuse to do surgery on those who are of teenage, unless parental okay and a clinical counselor signs off it is needed so this person gets ontop of hormone therapy. You facts are incorrect and done by people who have been found incredible.

So go on, play like we don’t know or seen your true shit. Your facts are false. Your language is harmful and we ain’t throwing an tantrum. We are calling you out. Your views are false views based of fake documents. And if your religion truely telling you to discriminated a whole community of folks based of how they are. That ain’t a religion.

i'm working on getting to know certain local natural phenomena as spirits/entities in their own right, and aspiring to worship these natural spirits. this is, obviously, a lot of work on my behalf. i expected this.

what i'm stuck on now is celebrations and festivals - i would like more holidays, but as i do not worship any specific established god or deity with an established religious framework around it, there's not much.

i've thought about celebrating holidays i know and am comfortable with (i.e. halloween/christmas/valentine's, as a USAmerican), but with the focus on the natural phenomena, but i quickly found i didn't actually like that in practice. and the wheel of the year icks me out

do you have any resources on creating your own holidays? i figured you might, maybe in your pop culture resources? i'm just having a hard time looking through your tags, and the tumblr search feature is horrendous.

i'm actually genuinely happy someone finally asked me something like this bc i've been seeing a lot of misinformation and i'm really tired of it.

i'm explaining everything, pictures and all. i'm blurring out ppl's names and sticking to the codes names i've given the girls involved. i get that you can find these names relatively easy, i'm just not gonna be the place for you to do so.

some of the things i'm gonna mention don't have physical proof, bc they were in a live stream or just stuff i didn't take ss of. but trust me everything i'm gonna say is real and not me making shit up.

so… let's start from the beginning.

the first major misconception that i've seen is that colby and ms singer got together back in march, dated until october/november, and then colby just haphazardly moved onto m. ppl say this bc they use the pic of them out that leaked and compare it to the pic of her wearing the same outfit in march on her insta.

now idk how this got lost in translation, but ppl are trying to say it's m in the pic??? it's not, but cool that you guys want to believe that lol

but again, this fandom is holding onto "oh well, her pic on insta is from march, so that means that a, this pic was taken in march, and b, they have been together since then". respectfully, did yall forget that ppl rewear clothes? just curious.

i also literally saw her, on her story, post the exact same outfit, but in november. so....

the pic of him and ms singer is not from march. it got post on tiktok in october.

and HERE is colby, at universal horror nights, which is where the photo was taken, meeting a fan.

now, this might not proof enough, bc he could have just been dating her secretly and this was the first time they were "caught" in public. but let's be forreal for two seconds. first off, in march, he was deciding whether or not to get chemo. and on top of that they were working nonstop to have backlog content in case of him getting chemo. neither one of them had gfs or time for gfs.

on top of all of this, i have more proof that they didn't start seeing each other until september. colby did not even follow her until sept 21ish. i know this bc i keep track of who he follows and when. yes, i know it's weird. idc. here's other ppl he followed at that time:

now, onto the stuff i don't have proof of - right as all this information was blowing up, ms singer started getting more viewers on her tiktok livestreams. one of the first ones she had after the above tiktok dropped, she was asked during her livestream what's the best date she was on and she said it was one that happened recently, most likely alluding to colby's (with sam in tow most likely with k/la girl).

the biggest proof of them all is that ms singer herself said in a livestream that she didn't meet colby until september. she outwardly said that. i have friends who heard her say that, not just anons that randomly tell me things. actual ppl i have convos with daily.

now, we have to move on to how he got with m. everything this point down will just be complete speculation on my part. the only proof i have is that colby did not start following m until the day after sam's bday. she was at the party after the marathon bc k brought her there (and k was also there obviously).

personally, what i believe happened was that ms singer was very heavy handed on the fact that she personally wants to get married and have kids soon even tho she's only 21. she said it multiple times on tiktok. idk why you want to rush into that type of stuff, but hey, you do you. that being said, most likely, while they both enjoyed their time together, colby is not exactly ready to settle down and have kids anytime soon. so he most likely backed off of ms singer.

after halloween, ms singer was no where to be found with colby. what i believe happened is since k/la girl and sam were already together, she decided to bring along m to sam's bday bash. m and colby clicked, and they spent all this time together.

now, when it comes to ms singer and k and m being in some weird little drama where ms singer feels slighted - first off, i have no clue about any of that for certain. ms singer continues to be vague, for good reason, and so it's hard to know what happened. if i was ms singer, i too would be a bit pissed if my friend brought some other girl to be around the guy i was into, just bc he wasn't into me. i'm not trying to say all of this isn't messy. it is to some degree, but i don't fully blame k. colby is a grown man. if he wanted to continue his friendship with ms singer after they "broke up", he would have. clearly, it just wasn't in the cards. or maybe he felt awkward being friends with her still after moving onto someone she knew/is somewhat friends with.

okay, i think that's everything. if there is anything else you need me to explain, feel free to ask. the only reason i really wanted to answer this kind of ask was bc i've heard some whispers via comments on tiktok and twitter and whatever else that some fans think or believe that sam cheated on kat with k just bc ms singer (who is good friends with k) and kat knew each other. bc they think the timing of everything is "suspicious".

first off, kat and sam broke up in march. ppl mistakeningly believe ms singer was in the picture around this time, which is why they think k/la girl is also in the picture. that's just factually not true. secondly, sam was literally fuckboying his ass up during the summer: he followed multiple asian girls (like almost 10) in julyish before during and after japan, danced and spent the night with that random girl that was on jc's stream during his party (while colby had fun with her friend, mind you), and then ppl speculated that he had a thing with niki going on too. that boy was having fun during this period prior to september, which is when he ACTUAL started seeing k/la girl. and third, if sam or kat cheated on one another, i'm 99% certain we would have known way before now. they literally explained in their break up video that nothing actually happened, sam just wasn't ready for marriage. not to mention, if he did cheat, YALL AIRING IT OUT IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT. if they were hiding something like that from us, realistically it would be for good reason. it's not your business to share that intimate of details.

and before anyone gets on my ass about that comment, everything i'm sharing with yall is already public info. i'm not speculating, minus what happened between ms singer and la girl. but even bits of that have been told by ms singer herself so… don't come for me lol

Welcome to RWBY: Roman Red, a choose-the-adventure story starring a halloween-themed ne’er-do-well, a mute ice cream lady and lesbian Pinocchio! Jests aside, thanks for coming to check this out. I’m Mechanist Gamma, long-time RWBY fan and the writer of Roman Red. This story follows Roman Torchwick, Neopolitan and Penny Polendina in an alternate take on the events of RWBY, all stemming from a single change - two who would meet as enemies instead meeting first as friends. From the perspectives of Roman, Neo and Penny, you get to vote on where the story goes! What decisions will these three make, and how will it change their destinies in the ever expanding story of Remnant? Only time will tell.

Before we begin, some quick Q&A! This will be updated and added to over time as needed. Questions below the break.

If you'd rather jump straight into reading, here's the prologue!

Q: Finally, a RWBY story all about the best character! I can’t wait to see Roman become the actual hero of the adventure and- A: Stop right there. This is not a misinformed fix fic. I adore RWBY and where it went after V3, but I also consider Roman to be one of my favorite characters from the series. This is treated as not an alternative or replacement, but a side dish simply exploring an alternative to how things could have gone. The events of Roman Red will not be interfering with the core plotline of RWBY unless it makes sense to do so within the development of the narrative.

Q: If this isn’t a fix fic, what’s your aim with the story? A: On some levels, this is an experiment to see what happens by looking at Vale and the rest of Remnant from the eyes of the underworld. Roman Red can be treated as an unofficial followup to RWBY: Roman Holiday, the prime inspiration for this fic.

Q: Why is Penny involved? A: I’m sure you know that every RWBY character has an inspiration behind them, but did you know that Roman is based on Candlewick/Lampwick from Pinocchio? In the original tale, Candlewick is Pinocchio’s best friend who tempts him into sin in the Land of Toys and is ultimately exposed to a cruel fate as a result, Pinocchio eventually finding his old friend and helping him in his last days. The idea behind Penny’s involvement is to capitalize on that unspoken connection - have Candlewick lead Pinocchio into darkness, and just maybe have Pinocchio lead Candlewick into light.

Q: Roman and Neo are villains, but they’re being treated as the protagonists. Are you going to sanitize their characters? A: I have no intention of doing so. Roman and Neo are both bad people who do very bad things and may soon manipulate a teenage robot girl. That’s not to say they can’t improve, but I won’t be shying away from the nasty parts of these characters.

Q: What does it mean for this to be a "choose-the-adventure" story? A: The story of Roman Red will be written in portions. Every chapter will have several breaks midway through in order to end a chapter with a Tumblr poll which will determine where the narrative goes from here. This is inspired by the formula used for Quests, but dropping the gaming aspect in order to focus purely on the narrative.

Q: How will the story be presented? A: Roman Red will be posted in chunks here on Tumblr, but upon the completion of each chapter, it'll be posted to my Ao3 account. Tumblr users get to see the story as it develops and participate in the poll - Ao3 users get the story in full chunks!

Our staff had a lot of conversations about how to frame this topic. None of us are Native American so we wanted to make sure we didn’t spread any misinformation while still using our platform. Our compromise was to try to speak using sources for information rather than personal opinions.

TL:DR

It is our responsibility to educate ourselves on Native American history. Even moreso as Supernatural fans, since so much of the show’s mythology is derived from Native American beliefs. Native Americans are still forced to live under oppressive laws constructed by the people responsible for the deaths of millions of their forefathers. Raising awareness is the first step to combatting this injustice. Links to more resources and places to donate are at the end of this post. 

We’ve gotten a few confused asks about how this post relates to John’s Journal entry. In the post it makes some remarks connecting the journal entry to children being tortured. The aim of this article is to provide the missing context linking the two together and why it matters. 

Here’s the quote from John’s Journal:

January 24: Dean turns seventeen today. We went shooting. Then I sent him out on his first hunt. I’ve let him take the lead before, but I’ve always been there to back him up. This time he’s on his own. Partly it’s a test, and partly I wanted some time with Sammy. Should be no problem for Dean. Ghosts of two nuns haunting St. Stephen’s Indian Mission in Riverton, Wyoming. Simple salt-and-burn mission. Nuns in love with each other, then discovered. Killed themselves. We scoped the situation out, figured that something must be left behind that’s now a focus for the haunting. Bible, rosary beads, some small article that’s hidden somewhere in their room. I figured Dean would take care of it no problem, but I still stayed close by with Sammy... [Sam wants a normal life] … Dean took care of the nuns just like I thought he would, but I don’t think I’m going to be sending him on any more solos soon. That one was a little tense.

And that’s all she wrote. So why does this matter? It doesn’t talk about killing kids, just about lesbian nuns who were part of an indian mission. What’s the problem? Well, let’s start with the basics. 

What is an Indian mission?

Basically, an Indian mission is a reeducation camp for Native Americans. 

From an article published on History.com about indian missions in California:

The main goal of the California missions was to convert Native Americans into devoted Christians and Spanish citizens.

Spain used mission work to influence the natives with cultural and religious instruction.

Another motivation for the missions was to ensure that rival countries, such as Russia and Great Britain, didn’t try to occupy the California region first.

Why is that so bad? 

Indian missions contributed to the loss of hundreds of thousands of Native American lives. 

From the same article:

The mission era influenced culture, religion, architecture, art, language and economy in the region.

But, the missions also impacted California Indian cultures in negative ways. Europeans forced the natives to change their civilization to match the modern world. In the process, local traditions, cultures and customs were lost.

Some critics have charged that the Spanish mission system forced Native Americans into slavery and prostitution, comparing the missions to “concentration camps.”

Additionally, Spanish missionaries brought diseases with them that killed untold thousands of natives.

Prior to the California missions, there were about 300,000 Native Californians. By 1834, scholars believe there were only about 20,000 remaining.

Now back to the post that spawned this question: 

When OP (@fettcockfriday) says, 

spend some time thinking about why you latched onto “lesbian nuns” over “children being tortured and murdered.” did you not know what an indian mission was? did you think it was less interesting, or less important? sit with that for a while. 

To someone who doesn’t know the history of Indian Missions and wasn’t paying close attention to the journal entry, this feels like it's coming out of nowhere. With context, though, you can understand where this comes from. 

In the journal entry, the Indian mission only has the weight of any other convent nuns could reside in. This is a problem rooted in the american habit of erasing the ugly parts of its history. I highly doubt that Alex Irvine thought twice about the relevance of indian missions when he wrote that into the diary entry, which is the problem.

In fact, 87 percent of history books in the U.S. portray Native Americans as a population existing before 1900, according to a 2014 study on academic standards. For many Americans, we no longer exist.

With minimal mention of contemporary issues and ongoing conflicts over land and water rights or tribal sovereignty, Native Americans have become invisible and it can be argued that it makes it easier for non-Natives to take the lead on creating their own narratives about us. Our invisibility makes it easier to create and support racist mascots or over sexualize caricatures of Native women in everything from fashion to Halloween costumes.

For the well-being of Native peoples and future generations, these false narratives, the invisibility and erasure of Native peoples must end.

Native Americans are still disenfranchised, suffering under oppressive laws constructed by the people responsible for the deaths of millions of their forefathers. Attempts to reeducate native children are still happening to this day. The only way to move forward is to face the past and listen to the voices who have been kept quiet for so long.

Chapter 8 - The Deathday Party

Harry Potter and the Sacred Text word of the day: Rumors

Just to share a personal story about rumors bc this is a short post, I was working part time during my year off between undergrad and grad school and was going to quit when I started school again. A few months before that, there were rumors spreading around about me already putting in my 2 week notice (idk how it works in other countries, but in the US you have to give at least a 2 week notice of you quitting for logistic reasons). At this point, I hadn’t talked to anyone at work about when I planned to leave or if I was leaving at all for that matter, so I have no idea who started the rumor, but eventually it came upon the ears of my manager and they confronted me about it. That’s actually how I found out about the rumor lmao. I had to be like no I’m not quitting now I have zero knowledge about what’s going on and give them a date of when I’m leaving for real. And this, my peeps, was the first time in my then 22 years of existence that I was the center of a rumor. I had a good laugh at least.

Ok but very little actually happened this chapter lol. Maybe that was why I had trouble forming concrete thoughts about “rumors” from my own reading, and having the podcast was helpful in organizing them a bit. I think my understanding of rumors is slightly different from the hosts, since I see it as spreading information that you don’t fully know the details of, or whether it’s truthful or not (unless you’re spreading something about yourself). Sometimes it’s misinformation, like you mistook smth a person said (i.e. Person A says what if, and Person B mishears it to be a fact), which is something that happens on tumblr all the time.... and the internet. The rumor about Dumbledore booking dancing skeletons for the Halloween feast would be an example of this. Like ppl are so excited about the feast that they’re making stuff up about cool things that could happen lol. Sometimes someone says smth about a specific person, or themselves, either out of malice or to build reputation. This would be Sir Nick telling Harry to talk about how Nick is frightening and impressive at his deathday party to make himself seem cooler. Gossip on the other hand can be about either true or false information, it can be for entertainment, to vent, or just to have idle chat. I think Hermione talking about Moaning Myrtle is gossip, because she’s experienced all of the things she said, but if say, Harry or Ron start spreading it to other people, then it becomes a rumor. That personal rumor I talked about earlier? I have no clue how to categorize it lol. Did someone mishear smth? Were they pulling it out of their ass? The world may never know.

I want to get into Filch and the Kwikspell a bit, since the hosts brought up something interesting in the podcast episode. Harry finds a infomercial letter on Filch’s desk about how to do magic easily. What Harry doesn’t understand is why Filch would have it, so he wants to talk to Ron and Hermione about this interesting piece of info he found out and can’t make sense out of. This is gossip lol. What we find out later is that Filch is a squib and the interesting thing brought up is how Filch might be overcompensating for the fact that he can’t use magic. So he hides the fact that he’s magic-less and creates this persona that he wants to torture students so that he can gain some amounts of respect (through fear). I can imagine Filch would face a lot more disrespect if it was common that he was a squib. I wonder if he later internalized his persona or if he always would have actually enjoyed hanging students from the ceiling by their ankles. Tbh if I was him, I’d probably get great satisfaction from that after all the shit Hogwarts students do and make him clean up asdfjhdf. I’m not trying to make Filch a good guy, but just imagine having to take an extra hour to scrub the floors bc some kid decided to walk around the castle wet and muddy. Ick.

I feel so bad for Myrtle jfc. I felt bad for her as a child, but now I have a fuller understanding of depression and the effects of bullying and I just,,, can’t help pitying her and feeling sad for her. She lived her living life being bullied and ridiculed, died at a particularly bad moment of depression, and now has to be stuck at this emotional point for the end of days. And still have to deal with being ridiculed. That fucking sucks.

I’ll lump Harry hearing the voice again and finding the message on the wall with next chapter’s post.

Nick may have had a shitty death, but he’s still a good man.

Summary: Devil’s lie to themselves and those around them.

A/N: so, gonna add to this when I can, I have no particular plan on when I will post (I never have a posting schedule, SORRY SORRY!) Thank you to all that loved on the one shot I did for Halloween!!

‘Please take care of her.’

It was the last thing you remembered from your dream.

Yet, it hadn’t been a dream. Seth, Seth had tried to attack you, no he hadn’t tried, he had attacked you. He had just interrupted. By he, you mean the man currently fast asleep on your couch. 

Man? Vampire? Devil… they called vampires Devil’s here. There was widespread knowledge, everyone knew of devil’s. They existed, it had been scientifically proven that they were not myth. Misinformation had been spread by many vampires so they could stalk and hunt people, undeterred, unhindered. 

‘It is crazy to believe the exist!’ ‘Vampires are made up!’ ‘No such thing.

Then it had been proven, it was not myth, witnesses came forward, once the media got a hold of it the news spread like wild fire. There had been mass hunts years before your birth, many peo-VAMPIRES were killed. It wasn’t till mortal humans had organized and claimed to have dwindled them to almost nothing that the government had stepped in.

They had camps, vampires were put on lists, they could control their hunger. No more unregistered vampires. No more vampire’s on the loose. Those that were unregistered, those that made others, those that were born outside of a facility were called Devil’s. Many registered vampire’s bore the mark, a tattoo, somewhere on the body. 

A few years into school a law had passed, vampire could join the human population, you vaguely remembered it as a memory from your childhood. They had to go to ‘Clinics’ receive shots to control their hunger. A few years after that they came forward for basic rights, they wanted to be allowed to marry, marry other vampire or… mortals.

You had been confused, why would a human want to marry a vampire? You had been told that devil’s were dangerous, fearsome, and ugly beasts…

Seth had never been that.

Bucky heard a sniffle. He jerked upright, when had he fallen asleep? He had set you into your bed, come outside and received a call from Stark. He had sat down flipping through the emails as he continued the call with him. He had stifled a yawn and ended the call. 

There was something about your apartment, he had wondered over the course of a few weeks what it might be like to see it from inside instead of outside, from his perch. 

He never planned on falling asleep.

The sniffle sounded alien to his ears, when was the last time he had heard a sniffle over a scream? It was always scream, screams followed by terror and begging, the ripping of flesh by wayward devil’s attacking and killing prey.

Prey.

Humans.

Mortals.

People with families. Some they could save, others weren’t so lucky. 

When had they come back to the city? He and his team had been dispatched out to the country, Stark in charge, keeping them far away. It had been years since they had been here. He had wondered why the change in scenery?

Another sniffle followed and he looked directly at you, “are you hurt?”

You jumped, were you hurt? Thinking about it brought a sharp pain to your shoulder and your ass hurt which was probably why you had been stepping around so tenderly. You felt another tear roll off your cheek, followed by another. He stood and stepped towards you and you suddenly realized as much as you wanted to you couldn’t stop crying. A loud wail escaped you and you reached up scrubbing at your face, wiping at the tears furiously, why couldn’t you stop crying? Why? WHY?! 

This wasn’t fair!! Seth had been the only one that looked out for you when you moved here to the city by yourself. Once you had made friends with him he had been the only constant in your life. School and work had kept you busy. You really didn’t search out to make friends, not that you didn’t want to, it just wasn’t your top priority.

Seth was the one that came over, he was the one that made you dinner while you studied or when you got sick. Made sure you slept, cheered you on, he knew all about your family, why you came here alone, why you didn’t talk to them. Seth was your only friend, your best friend.

Arms wrapped around you awkwardly.

It was so sudden and unexpected it halted your wail, but then you buried you face into his chest, your own arms wrapping up under his arms and around his back holding on as you cried loudly. It was a bit awkward, his tactical vest rough, it still held your tears as well as Seth’s sweaters had. 

“There…. there…” Bucky was no good at this. He had never really… well, there was Natasha and Maria, but they rarely cried, at least not like this. You were crying so hard it shook your entire body. He hadn’t known a woman could cry this loudly, it made him… feel, he wasn’t sure what it was. A feeling in the middle of his chest as your cries resounded through him, as if they were coming from the depths of your soul. Was this grief? He was sure it wasn’t from a physical pain, he had checked you over, there had been no blood. You might have bruising, maybe that was it? You were really soft, he felt a little odd heart speeding up a bit as your small hands pulled him closer, your head tucking in just under his chin. Maybe you weren’t used to bruising?

Natasha and Maria were the only women he had ever had with in arms reach on a semi normal basis and he had never had them this close unless it was to cover their asses or they were covering his. Only for a few moments. 

You weren’t sure how long you stood there, crying for your friend. You were alone now. You stifled another sob and jerked back, “I’m sorry.”

Bucky stared at you, dark blue eyes studying your face. ‘Please take care of her.’ What was it about you? He watched as you shifted from foot to foot, scrubbing at your eyes, tears drying up. He reached out and caught your hand, “your making your eyes puffy.”

Metal. 

Bucky watched as your eyes slowly slid to his hand, his left hand. He frowned, it never bothered him to have someone stare, not before, why did your gaze make him want to snatch his hand back? 

“Are you hungry?”

Your voice surprised him and he realized you were staring up at him, “excuse me?” He watched as you looked away.

“I ha-have some soup or maybe you would like some left over meatloaf?”

Bucky blinked, “soup would be nice.” He like soup, if filled him and warmed him up. Vampire’s tended to run a bit cold and he enjoyed the warmth soup offered. 

“Ah,” you nodded, what an idiot, didn’t vampire’s drink blood? But he had agreed to soup, did devil’s eat food? Could they? Question’s started popping up as you moved around the kitchen, quickly throwing together the ingredients for chicken noodle and waited. He had sat back down, you watched as he reached out and picked up your art book, Claude Monet, it had been a gift of course Monet had always been your favorite artist, and now going to school for art was enough to make you beyond happy. There was of course more to school and you were studying hard. 

Bucky looked up as a bowl was set in front of him and he set the book aside. It had been a long time since he had seen art. “Thank you,” he hummed picking the bowl up and quickly setting to clearing it out.

You liked his voice, low, firm, confident. “You like Monet?”

Dark eyes shifted over to you and you took note of the dark bags under his eyes. ���I.. don’t know.” He shrugged large shoulders, he was all around bigger than Seth, “it just.. looks blurry.”

You moved over on the couch and held your hand out, he quickly handed you the book. “You kinda have to look at it a little bit far away,” you said, why were you talking as if nothing had happened? As if you hadn’t just been crying? A lump rose in your throat, “if you blur your vision a little… it’s kinda like it clears the picture up, see?”

Bucky could hear the strain in your voice, you needed a distraction, he guessed you would start crying if you didn’t distract yourself again. He nodded leaning in closer to you, pulling away from the book and forcing his vision to blur slightly. 

He took in a breath, it worked, the foggy blurry colors seemed to meld together. As if he were looking through tired eyes, the picture cleared and he stopped focusing on blurring his vision and it became a mess of colors again. “How did you do that?”

Your giggle caught him off guard. “I love Monet, ever since I was a kid, he does amazing work, makes you look at it from a different perspective.” You flipped the page and pointed at the next image, Sunflowers, the next were Waterlilies, there was a path in the fall and poppies in the middle of a field. 

He wasn’t sure when he stopped looking at the book and watched you instead. When you fell asleep against his metal arm he refused to move. This time he could feel himself drifting off into sleep, carefully pulling you in close as he shifted slowly into a comfortable position, lulled by your soft breathing, the quiet steady beat of your heart, your soft scent. 

‘Please, take care of her.’

and to reply to your text, you would be surprised if you knew how common it is that those who committed a crime offer themselves as witnesses etc in order to a) keep up with the status of the investigation, b) to seem not guilty. So that is no indication of whether Lee Seunghyun is guilty or not

just because the Police does not state what they have found is also no indication on whether he is giulty or not, I am personally unfamiliar with the police stating step by step what evidence they have and who their suspects are, which would also be not very intelligent since this is a crime ring we are talking about with political figures as well as a police chief involved.

Lee Seunghyun’s lawyer said they had given an interview to a press media but did not specify which one, which is odd in my opinion

also, Lee Seunghyun’s explanation to the ‘police chief’ comments in the chat (which were real) was that they had been simply bluffing and he lied about all the money. And that right there could easily be a self-serving declaration, which is a) allowed in court, b) common. and please note that he was aware and part  of the chats otherwise such a statement would not make sense.

Hello, different anon. I just saw the masterlist you just reblogged and I wanted to inform you that it is actually full of inaccuracies and miss many things.

I have been following the case very closely on twitter so I want to correct what that post is reporting wrongly and missing.

I have to submit this as a post because it will be long.

First of all, Mr Kim. Kim Sang Kyo

He indeed claimed that he was trying to protect a woman from being sexual assaulted and that for that he was beaten by the security/police (the reports vary on this point) but actually it came out later that the guy was indeed an assaulter himself as claimed by four women.

(Also, one of the many screenshot that were around showed mr Kim talking with BS CEO and saying “I will take you down using Seungri’s name.” Keep that in mind for it will be relevant later)

The video of the girl “being pulled away for being assaulted by security” was actually a video of a female costumer that was drunk and was causing problem in the local, stealing drinks from other tables and bothering other people. Security had to bring her out forcefully as she didn’t want to leave and while doing that she broke a computer.

She acknowledged the fact and confirmed that she was very drunk and causing problems and apologized in an instagram post for her behavior.

Seungri was never a suspect in the first place, he went to the police station for answering questions to help police dig into the situation and to submit samples for the drug test that came out negative.

YG shredding documents was just a regular thing that happens every month/every two months. Noone was trying to cover proofs, it was just regular business. Also, the police never found links between YG and what happened in BS so they didn’t see why this became an issue.

Seungri was made a suspect on his own request, so to accelerate the investigations.

Police never confirmed it as they said yesterday 21/03/19 (https://twitter.com/RiTaeDaeGTOP/status/1108668237607329792). It was all a baseless rumor and fruit of manipulation of the screenshot by SBS (that already confirmed to have been manipulated other screenshots to make them look like group chat when actually were 1:1 chat.)

The police confirmed the EXISTENCE of the group chats and so that they weren’t fabricated, meaning the people in them indeed talked but never confirmed that the messages in them were as the screenshots showed.

New informations were retrieved from JJY’s phone and after that he admitted to have shared the videos and other people in the chat admitted to have seen them so everyone just assumed that the messages were indeed as showed by various reporters.

But, as I said, the Police never confirmed Seungri’s presence in the chat with the molka videos.

Seungri’s chats that were around accused him only of prostitution. That’s what he has been charged of with the alleged gambling and tax evasion.

The prostitution accuse though have been fallen piece by piece as new development came out:

- The police has questioned two women identified in the chat of December 2015 but they denied the allegation. They said they were indeed present but there was nothing like prostitution, they were just there to entertain the investors (NOT in a sexual way). - Seungri and his lawyer via Sisa Journal showed actual photos (NOT screenshots that can be manipulated) of Seungri’s phone that showed the real conversation with CEO Kim. In this conversation CEO Kim told Seungri he was going to Indonesia and meet the king and wanted a woman to accompany him. CEO Kim clarified in the chat with Seungri that he wasn’t asking for a sexual escort but just company.

In the end, anyway, CEO Kim went to Indonesia without any woman but with Seungri himself.

Also, the screenshot about this conversation that were first reported were faked by CEO Kim to blackmail Seungri since he (SR) invested 2 billion won in Kim and never got it back. Same thing happened with Shin Eusung back in Janury 2016. The singer got 2 billion won from Seungri and then disappeared. - SBS itself said they couldn’t be sure about the screenshot related to Seungri’s accusations.

- Another story of prostitution actually was Seungri searching for female companion for his female Singaporean friend (that’s very close to him) that at the time was in Seoul alone. Seungri and his lawyer addressed the gambling part always in the interview via Sisa Journal saying he never gambled abroad in Las Vegas with CEO Kim.

The police has investigated on this point and again came out with nothing.

As for the tax evasion in Monkey Museum: KBS reported that Seungri was aware that reporting the club as a “retail store” could have been legally problematic BUT it was established last month by a Gangnam district rep that there weren’t violations. (bit.ly/2UPjDfh)

The only thing they could came out with was that he wore a police uniform as a Halloween costume back in 2014 as it is illegal to impersonate a public officer and could lead to a fine up till 15 mil won. Today Police confirmed that the uniform was indeed a costume, having found the store that sold it, so also this accuse should have been taken down.

In the end, it actually seems Seungri is innocent as of now.

Now, I want to put light on some things that are suspicious about his case:

- Seungri asked himself to be investigated and to be made a suspect. A guilty person usually wouldn’t do that.

- He has been investigated for two months and questioned by police for a total of almost 24h and always claimed himself innocent and police haven’t found anything on him in all this time while with JJY the proofs were found and he was named guilty in around a week. This should make you reflect.

- When Seungri went to be investigated the second time, after 16 hours of questioning, his lawyer confronted the media and said that they (he and Seungri) had released their part of the story days prior with a leading press media that asked for it but that press media choose not to publish for some reasons. - Many reporters (including Soompi from which that masterlist mostly take sources from) had lied in regard of things Seungri and Police said. They claimed Seungri apologized and said he didn’t submit his phone to the police when actually he didn’t apologize and said he submitted his phone. They said the Police had proofs against him when actually they didn’t. Between this proof was that a secure source (that though didn’t know neither the place nor the time) informed police that Seungri did Coke and so the police wanted to conduct another drug test on him. This “secure information” came out after Seungri did TWO drug tests already (one after because of BS and another for the report of him inhaling from a “happy balloon” at a party) and both came out negative. So I wouldn’t believe at everything they say (also for reasons that I will explain in a bit).

- Seungri was and is used as face for every articles regarding the case, even for those one that didn’t talk about him at all.

- Seungri has been accuse of various things that still don’t have real proofs and was treated as a criminal for just allegations while real criminal Kim Sang Kyo that assaulted 4 women is still free and even went on tv crying like a baby because he was sorry for all the situation that was happening (and not for his crimes).

Always about Kim SK: as I said, he said in a conversation with one of BS CEO “I will take you down using Seungri’s name.”; in a recent post on Instagram that seems to show him in England, he posted a photo of an english newspaper discussing the “Burning Sun Gate” with a photo of Seungri, under it Kim wrote “Impossible. He will never win.” Also, it seems that Han Seohee, the girl related to Seunghyun’s 2016 case follows Kim on instagram. All things are kinda strange if you think of it.

- Seungri tested negative two times for drug usage but still reporter said police wanted to investigate him again meanwhile CEO Moonho of BS tested positive to drugs but he hasn’t been arrested yet.

Right now S. Korea is facing other big scandals:

- The 10 years old suicide of actress Jang Jayeon. The case resurfaced as it was going into prescription but thanks to a petition online president Moon approved the reopening and continuation of it.

She committed suicide after leaving a letter where she revealed that her company forced her to sexually entertain 31 high-profile entertainment figures and journalists.

Between this people seem to be CEO of Chosun Journal Bang Sanghoon, Vice-President of Sport Chosun Bang Myunghoon, Chosun Central Journal’s Director of Advertising – Lee Jaeyoung, Chairmain of Kolon Lee Woongryeol, Chairman of Lotte Shin Kyukho, Former KBS PD, CEO of Olive 9 Go Daehwa, Producer of KBS’s “All My Love” Jun Changgeun. Producer for KBS, MBC, SBS Jung Seho, Producer for KBS’s “Boys Over Flowers” Jun Gisang and Broadcasting/Music PD of “Payfull Kiss, Boys Over Flowers”, “Perfect Couple”, “Goong” Song Byungjoon.

As you see Chosun Journal (that particularly targeted Seungri after the reopen of the case), KBS, MBC and SBS have people allegedly involved in this case.

Also this same TV News have been focusing on BigBang in general lately bringing out again Jiyong’s “special treatment” and also Seunghyun “special treatment” for their sick leaves. The one regarding Seunghyun is particular upsetting as the reporters followed him inside his work place, filmed him and forced him to talk with them and to admit about his panic disorder. - Another scandal that seems to be reopening is that of a former minister, Kim Hakeui, accused of rape, receiving sexual favours, bribery and narcotics who has been cleared by prosecution twice despite clear recorded evidence of him and other official drugging and raping over 30 women in a villa in some ‘orgy/banquet’.

Both crimes involve high figures of the korean society and given the whole situation (the media continuous lies) seem that BigBang (Seungri included) are being used to cover them.

This is just an opinion but it’s shared also between other korean reporters that have no deal with those cases.

I've and great friends on this site.

Some, I was shit to. I've made things up with a couple of them, and as for the others, well, I'm sorry, and I wish you well.

I don't remember anyone treating me like shit first that I ever thought of as a friend, so I guess I'm the more guilty one. However, it took me long enough to realize not forgiving myself didn't help, and in some ways made me worse, even if not always to others, but to myself for certain. I'm trying to put those mistakes in the past, and time and effort will tell how successful I am in this venture.

Many others simply dropped off the face of the Earth when it came to communicating with me, or I did that with them. I regret that; I wish I had retained more of these friends, and been better about talking with them.

Some friends have been indispensable to me in my mental and emotional well-being, as well as coming to the political, economic, and religious standpoints I have come to, which I regard reasons for me to live as much as these friends are, likewise, reasons for me to live.

I've fucked up here and there. I've definitely fucked up. I've treated a few people terribly. I've made mistaken posts, like the very, very misinformed advice about how us non-Muslims could respect Muslims during Ramadan. I've defended real mistakes of posts, like that link to the Rolling Stone article about the guy who was almost bombed by the US, who is apparently actually a reactionary guy who stans the likes of Al-Qaeda. I received a response from someone who correctly, but in very short, and somewhat impatient terms, said that guy doesn't deserve sympathy. The guy who pointed this out is a Muslim, himself, and not an Islamophobe, and ultimately was a guy who would have known, and obviously did. However, responding to the perceived vitriol of his response, and in my unjustified anger wondering, rather absurdly, what he was thinking and what he was really for, I defended the alleged accuracy of the article. This turned into a very long row where I eventually IP blocked him and another user who took his side, and it took me a month to cool down and realize he was correct all along. Needless to say, I fucked up.

I've also done some good here and there, at the very least entertaining on occasion. The Hamlet comment on the die in Danish and English post, for example. A more shining example is my original post proposing a calendar change which would ensure at least 30 days for each day of the year, and the replacement of the leap day into October, meaning every leap year, there would be a Second Halloween. That post garnered almost 500k notes, was cross-posted onto sites such as Reddit and Facebook, and even received such comments as "You should be President". While I am an anarchist, and I know, given my common failures, such as mentioned above, I would be a terrible president, anyway, such comments made me laugh and even, in a way, feel flattered.

I even saved some lives here and there. I've seen you out there, you struggling people. You've hated yourselves and wanted to end it. For many of you, even back when I was a naive teenager, I tried to help. For many of you, I think... I hope... I was the one who saved your life, or at least helped to save it. I who haven't seen your face before. I, who have loved others deeply, and hated some even more so, yet have been distant from my fellow humans by and large for most of my life. I, who am really, really a damned strange fellow. I, the one you wouldn't believe were I to tell you something I did because you don't believe in those gods, or any gods, or you just don't think I had the ability. I, who am so different from you, who doesn't know what it's like by and large to step in your footsteps. Am I depressed? Yes. Anxious? Yes. Have (C-)PTSD? Probably, yeah. But the reasons why are so different. Yet somehow, I was able to reach many of you, despite all that. Somehow, I helped you realize you deserved life. And isn't that strange, that I was the one? But I tried, and I'm glad to have succeeded where I did.

Yet, there have been others I passed over. People who I thought received adequate attention from others in their times of need, others more like them, who could better understand them. Other people who I just didn't know how to help. So many URLs, so many names, so many faces behind the screens - and do they blink, do they breathe even now? And what of those I helped, who I didn't speak to again, hoping and supposing they were alright? How many fell back, unnoticed by me or by anyone else? How many survived? How many didn't? I rarely, if ever, think about that, but it's heavy to think about now. Perhaps that's why I tried to put it behind me before.

Others have helped me, too. In my most trying times, my most dire hours, which lasted in the months due to my foolishness and stubbornness, people have been there for me. Eventually, some stopped talking to me. Some even blocked me. Some stayed. Whichever course they took, they had every right, and I wish them well. I am thankful to those who helped me for however long they did, and to those who are still trusted friends today. I am indebted, truly.

This website is terrible, it really is, but it's had a lot of fun, it's had a lot of good people - a lot of very bad and terrible people, too - but a lot of good people, and it's woken a lot of people up to a lot of important things, be they globally important or personally important. I'm going to hate this website and miss it. For different reasons, I can and will do both.

I don't intend to delete this account, but I suppose I'll have to prepare for if it is deleted by the staff. Until then, skal. It's been... This year is nearly over and what a year it was. I thought 2020 was bad but 2021 was quite the encore. For me it was hard, no, impossible most of the time to walk the Eightfold Path. Right Speech was the hardest. I cannot keep my mouth shut when I see humans acting like dicks to other sentient beings and that goes double for humans who are supposed to have our best interests at heart. I am talking about our elected officials. This year has been an eye opener for me. The ones who are supposed to be impartial when it comes to reporting the news have helped spread misinformation, fear, division and outright censorship of any type of robust dialogue. In the 66 years that I have been alive, I have not witnessed such divisiveness since the late 60s. This time it's worse, much worse. The good thing is that the veil of deception is being lifted. The “owners of this country” (as George Carlin liked to say) are no longer hiding their behavior. They are crooked. They are greedy. They will do whatever it takes to get what they want. How many times have we heard both parties say we need money out of politics? We need term limits. And blah, blah, blah. Nothing gets done. Nothing changes. They play good cop (the dems) vs bad cop (the repubs) but they are both cops. It's one big scam and we are the mark. All of us. This is why I am angry. One of my college professors told us decades ago, “Media doesn’t tell us what to think, they tell us what to think about.” I think they now do both. Look at social media. Look how easy it is to get humans to tweet and/or repost information that has not been researched or verified? Social media makes it easier to control opinions. Censorship is alive and well in 2021. Tweet or post something that goes against the establishment's narrative and get a “time-out” or banned altogether. I am against censorship. Period. I recently found this Monty Python clip which reminded me of how humans on social media are today. https://youtu.be/yp_l5ntikaU In the 90s I attended a school board meeting in a city where there was a large population of ultra conservative Christians. They wanted the book. “Where the Sidewalk Ends”, written by Shel Silverstein, banned from the school library. Why? They didn’t like his poems and stories. Especially about the little girl witch Halloween story, and (get this) he looked like the devil. I had not witnessed such craziness in my adult life. These parents were really freaked out about a kid's book. In the end, the book stayed but I am willing to bet any copies mysteriously disappeared before the school year was over. What is happening now reminds me of those crazy parents and how the elected officials with the help of mainstream media are fueling the fires. Keeping us divided. Common sense has all but disappeared. There hardly is anyone stopping to think and asking questions. It shocks me. I used to write for an online progressive blog until last September. I questioned the mandates. I did my research. I included articles from (at least back then) reliable resources who exposed companies track records. Companies who were in charge of our health. I was called a Trumper. How the Hell someone came up with that conclusion after reading my article is beyond me. I wanted to write a follow up which included information about private support groups where people who were harmed by the you-know-what could go. The editor said no. Not only was I now considered a Trumper, but an anti-vaxxer. None of his arguments made sense. The funny thing is that we met during the Occupy Movement. He considers himself to be progressive except when it comes to thinking for himself. So this brings me back to my original thought. It is harder for me to walk the Eightfold Path. I think some things cannot be hugged out. They require vigorous debate that includes evidence to support one's opinions or in this case, mandates. Our system is clearly broken. We keep voting in the same old humans who are greedy. They have learned to tell people what they want to hear and as soon as they are sworn, it is business as usual. In 2008, I volunteered at a campaign office to help get Obama elected. I believed his promises. I believed in his vision. Then he took office and he turned out to be like the rest of them. He was not as bad, but he followed orders from the ones who own this country. Now I am with George Carlin. I will remain cynical until I see change. Meaningful change.
