Even though I've read this manga and watched this anime so many times, I have a bad habit of moving through it way too quickly on re-reads. That might be why I somehow forgot about these two developments at the conclusion between the last time I read 'Redial' and now.

Sixth and Twelfth converting the Omakata Cult into the Cult of Justice is just funny. How is Tsubaki contributing to the cause of "justice" now, I wonder? Is this now an army of would-be vigilantes led by two people who are either nearly blind or totally blind? :P

I wonder what the hell Eleventh and Eighth see in each other. I guess they're both shrewd with how they protect themselves. And they both legitimately care about improving the community, albeit in different ways... ?

Yuno Gasai:

you are married now. end of story. the moment yuno notices that you reciprocate her feelings she will never let you go again. She had always dreamed of being with you, she couldn't be more happy about the situation.

(Special) She doesn't have feelings for you:

Even if she hasn't chosen you as the source of her obsession, she will realize relatively quickly that you have feelings for her. Even if it's not quite as fast as if she loves you. Yuno is very observant in general.

If she is already in love with someone else, then depending on what you do, she may see you as a potential threat to her desired relationship. For example, if you try to ask her out on a date or flirt with her. She would be annoyed in the beginning. If you don't get the message she would resort to let's say more drastic measures.

If you are shy and only admire her from afar, she won't be bothered by you.

If she's not in love, then your infatuation with her could lead to her falling in love with you as well.

Yukiteru Amano:

Yukki can be super obvious, it will take him a while to come to the conclusion that you have feelings for him as well. even if you are obvious about your crush.

Should you approach him to invite him to spend time with you, he thinks you are trying to make him more social. And should you flirt with him or compliment him, he will think you are just being friendly.

Despite having evidence that he has a chance with you he will still be very shy around you. And super awkward about any advances you make.

Yukki will wait for you to confess to him because he doesn't have the courage to do it himself first.

Akise Aru:

Akise is very observant and clever, so there is a chance he might even notice your crush on him before even you know of it.

If you are close enough with each other he will lightly tease you or give you small hints that he feels the same as you.

Ultimately he wants you to figure out for yourself that he loves you too and waits for you to confess to him. If you take too long or are just too shy to confess, he will subtly nudge you in the right direction.

Hinata Hino:

super obvious the second. Hinata is going to think that you are just being a great friend. even if you are literally flirting with her.

I mean she already has is super flirty - borderline stalker - friend, who doesn't know any personal space. So compared to Mao everything else will feel mild.

Speaking of Mao you will definitely have to compete with her for Hinata's affection and time.

When Hinata does realize you have feelings for her, she wants to wait until you are ready to confess but ultimately gets too impatient and confesses herself.

Rare Future Diary Merch Art

If you're familiar with my posts, you might've seen me mention one specific t-shirt a couple of times in the past.

This Yuno t-shirt is perhaps one of the rarest pieces of merchandise once available for Future Diary. The shirt was part of a raffle and only a very limited quantity was manufactured. As a result, we don't have any listings or images of it, meaning this illustration card drawn by Esuno is the closest we've gotten to a proper image of the shirt. I personally love this graphic and would kill to have it on a t-shirt. So, I've been looking around for any methods (ai, resizing tools, etc) to upscale and recreate the graphic from this image, none of which yielded quality results.

So... as per request of my nagging Future Diary brain worms, I said fuck it and made it myself. It's not perfect, but it's probably the closest we'll get.

In case you're curious, this illustration of Yuno comes from the 3rd volume of the manga, where she's meditating to figure out where Reisuke's diary is. I tried looking up where the circle and symbols where from, but found nothing close to it, so I'm pretty sure it's just a made-up sigil wheel. (Hopefully I didn't invoke any demons by drawing it lol)

I found over the years that it is very difficult to clean and upscale images while retaining their quality. I've tried such methods before for other graphics (also Future Diary shirts) and they never came out quite right, so I think recreating them myself was not a bad approach. I might do this for other FD shirts, but I don't think it'll be as easy as this one, since a lot of official FD merch has original art that is not seen anywhere else. It's worth a try though, given how difficult it is to find even images of the official FD merch.

Rereading the manga of redial and wtf it's totally different from the anime??? And better if I might add.

The main story's manga also was much better with no unnecessary fanservice (the kids at the resort, Ai's rape and her talking to Marco on the balcony afterward and Yuki with Wakaba Moe in the illusion world).

Redial's manga has so much more cool stuff like the future of Marco and Ai in the 3rd world (they deserved so much better fr) and Yomotsu's involvement in the Omekata cult. And they erased all these all some guy could draw 14 year old girls in swimsuits smh
