Need some help from my TVDU experts here (looking at you, @persevereforahappyending and @vervaincircle) for a tiny little piece of plot: do hotel/motel rooms require vampires to be invited in? 🙏

I went through the TVDU wiki, and it was only talking about houses, but IIRC when Elena and Caroline went to college and ended up with a non-Bonnie roommate, said roommate had to invite them in to their dorm room initially. And when Kai comes back from the Prison World in S2 of Legacies, he has to be invited in to the school (because people live there, in the dorms?).

I presume owned apartments are like houses, but what about leased apartments? They’re like dorm rooms, in a sense. And if dorm rooms require invites…they are then in a sense leased places of residence (pay a room fee to the school aka the owner, get to live in said room), so do hotel/motel rooms follow the same pattern, being short-term leased places of residence (pay for a room, get to stay there as long as the fee covers)?

These are the tiny details that drive my mind batty.

The man on the radio has returned for all things Friday ... tells the tale of his impromptu stage taking and drumming ... slides with ease from Hakuna Matata to Swan Lake ... presses the button to introduce the traffic lady. More crazy car stuff in Dublin due to the musician whose name I will not mention.

The chef on the radio steams in laden with mackerel, sea bass and puy lentils. "I'm using Bay leaves with this recipe", he says ... "Did you just say Baileys?" asks the man on the radio ... "Did I say what? asks the chef ... "Baileys ... did you say Baileys? Cos that's an odd combination if you did". The chef giggles and says no, definitely Bay leaves but feel free to drink Baileys whilst you're cooking.

Today's groaner: a pessimist sees a dark tunnel ... an optimist sees light at the end of the tunnel ... a realist sees a freight train ... the train driver sees three idiots standing on the track ;-D badoom tish ... here all week!!

Survived yesterday's very rainy, umbrella filled shiny metropolis trip part deux. Phew! In and out in 2 hours, but life still feels slightly out of focus. Now back to hiding out and looking at the little things. I'll be keeping 'the umbrella' and water wings close to hand after yesterday's downpours ... ensuring my fingers are crossed that the lovely Fermata feels like eating today ... and rest assured the coffee will be flowing ...

Andy's ticket to Lightyear in KH3! Kingdom Hearts III was released in 2019. The Toy Story world takes place at some time between the second and third movie. Toy Story 2 takes place in 1999, Toy Story 3 takes place in 2010. Lightyear was released in 2022 and in universe released in 1995.

Okay so rewatching the dinner with Robert scene to try and figure out what they’re eating (like you do), and Carlos’s plate is scraped clean, Owen’s plate is barely touched, and Robert and TK look like they’re about halfway through their meals.

I just have this image of Carlos eating steadily while everyone talks and then looking wistfully at TK’s still half full plate and wondering if anyone would notice if he stole just another bite of chard off of it - that’s a thing almost husbands are allowed to do, right?

Verdict is - I think - salad + chicken + rice (maybe?) + some kind of green (chard?) + Owen’s plate looks like it has bread, although I am concerned about the lack of bread basket on the table.

The man on the radio is instead the woman on the radio. She's pressing buttons most adeptly, his whereabouts are unknown. Weatherwise there's intermittent sunshine. Musically it's time to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, start all over again. The traffic lady was not at her usual spot ... the reports vary as to which bus she may have hopped onto.

Today's groaner: one day Mother Hen laid an orange ... when they saw it, the other chickens said "look what marmalade!" ;-) badoom tish ... here all week!!

Still wandering through the garden in search of the lost postman. Found a couple of snail eaten letters, but then the trail went cold ... that or I simply got distracted by more minutiae.

Lady Clemence followed me in a half hearted manner before settling in the sunshine, puzzled over my seeming fascination with the wall of the shed that she and Augustus G Busterson share.

In this wildest of gardens tis easy to feel alternately like a giant and an ant. I'm either crouched with something small or gazing in awe at something that is big/bigger than myself.

Now ... another tilt of the coffee pot is in order before I head out on the meandering postman's path once more. I'm convinced he has a letter from my long lost, much misplaced and several times removed relative ... you know the one ... it says "I've left you everything, the castle is yours!"

Happens all the time ... I've seen the films ... so wish me luck! ...
