i remember in one of your posts you said something about Bruce buying Mouse guard dogs to hover around them just in case, and it made me think about Mouse having a Tibetan Mastiff as one of the dogs Bruce buys. Search them up, they are giant. Basically a giant bear-like dog that is huge, could probably break someone's back if it jumped on them with it's full weight. Its a mini bear on a leash, and could carry Mouse around in it's mouth by the scruff of their neck like a kitten being held by it's mama. Idk I'm running on 35 minutes of sleep and a shit ton of stress.

I used to dogsit for a Mastiff!! Her name was Peppermint and she was the sweetest little girl EVERRRR.

She did think she was a lap dog, which was amazing to me because the weighted blanket sensation? Top tier. Every time I left the house I was covered in so much fur. I loved her so much dude.

so i was looking at @icantbelieveitsnotbutler's polaris=sebastian analysis here and i actually had a lot of shit in my files relating to it since i had a very similar idea in my mind (but they articulated it so well so im just adding my stuff !!) pls read their post (this one is also related) first then mine because im just adding on and giving my own mini theory

more proof on the polaris is sebastian's body double theory (heavy spoilers)

okay so in the FoL orphanage part of the blue revenge arc, finny and snake meet theo (o! or r!ciel double/blood of sirius) and artie (sebastian double/blood of polaris) and artie=sebs is pretty obvious bc we get bard's flashbacks in the sanitarium section just before FoL starts and this is the first time we see artie

but there's so much more

theo&artie talking about finny vs ciel&sebs talking about snake

honestly there's a lot of whispering between c&s but this parallel really stood out. there's a parallel from the circus arc too where theo throws up

and finally the water dive in the campania parallel

like the hair??? the coat? and the moment after the dive is insane too

he takes theo AND artie's hand and they drag him out. the idea of being saved from above is literally symbolism of how he was saved from the facility by ciel and sebastian

finally i want to mention that polaris is one of the 2 most common blood types (44% of the population). doll who reappears in the FoL section of the story which is about children being exploited for their body parts (where we get the mastiff=polaris=artie=sebs) is tied to an arc of creating artificial body parts (noah's ark circus, baron kelvin and the doctor's project), bodies that feels like real skin made of organic materials (human CHILDREN)

ALSO UNDERTAKER WAS THERE WHEN HE BURNT THE KIDS 😭😭 HE KNEW WHAT BARON KELVIN WAS UP TO !! this man loves corrupt doctors (the viscount, ryan stoker and maybe even the doctor in the circus arc)

artie WANTS to set the building on fire with no concern for the children inside. sebastian did NOT want to burn it as it was ciel's duty to return the children home. but UT only saw him do the burning, so artie's sebastian-coded response is to burn things, as per ciel's orders (but UT doesn't know/care if it was ciel's orders). artie is what ciel THINKS sebastian is. UT was on the campania nd hidden amongst the coffins, he might've heard this interaction "you were like a beast" so artie (in terms of "aptitude") shows the beastly violence needed to be used for a sebastian copy

artie is a beast, theo 'knows' he is a beast, he is unnerved by artie's violence as much as ciel is at sebastian's viciousness in the campania but both theo and ciel have accepted the aggression their protectors are capable of. theo and artie are the closest to each other; we figure as much from their interactions and how they're the only two people who know each other beyond the orphanage (which is basically the phantomhive manor resident blood farm). in the manor other than tanaka, it is only sebastian and ciel who know each other from before the manor was (re)built. UT is not just creating sebastian... he is creating the sebastian that exists in ciel's mind. a ruthless beast who will stop at nothing to ensure his survival (without the promise of his soul), that is a completely rational course of action for a man who does not want to lose any more phantomhives.

Same Anon who asked about Transformers as dogs. Since your response focused mainly on TFP, it got me wondering what the characters in your AU, "The Polar Star", would be if they were dogs. What do you think? (Personally, I think Skyfire would be one of those big, fluffy, Northern breeds.)

Determining Star Lords with Astrology (Part 1)

Since we haven’t seen Doll in a while and mostly follow Snake and Finny at the time, I wanted to go back to the star blood types and deepen the link between them and the four settings again in the mean time.

This post will focus on the properties of the stars, their myths and how these myths relate to certain characters with special focus on Doll regarding the current mini-arc.

Vega***

To establish further theories, let’s first make “Layla is the Vega Lord” concrete. Vega belongs to the “Lyra” constellation, which symbolizes a musical instrument in Greek Mythology. While the first thing that caught my attention was the similarity between the spelling of Layla and Lyra, I don’t want to jump to any conclusions between them because there is a possibility that the original Japanese is different in a way? If someone knows more about this I would like to hear about it.

The meaning of the name “Layla” has connotations regarding “night” so this can also be seen as a simple proof.

If we look at mythologies of other civilizations, the story of Vega that comes from Chinese mythology is quite interesting. The legend of Vega in mythology is paired up with the star Altair. The love story between Zhinü and Niulang, Vega and Altair respectively, fits into the narrative of the Veteran House Mini-Arc in Kuro. If we think of Zhinü as Layla because she is presumed to be the lord of Vega, then the person she talks to Al (double personality or another twin scenario) could be Niulang.

Additionally, Niulang is a farm boy (“Cowherd” as it is said in Wikipedia), it relates to Bard’s backstory and brings together the Veteran Mini-Arc in its entirety. The tragic love story of Vega and Altair could be applied to what happened to Bard’s family.

Sirius*

This is probably the most well-known star in the Fandom at this point so I realize anything I’m writing could have already been written by another blogger. If so, credits to that person but I hope you will see how mentioning all this relates to the narrative of this post as well. :D

Sirius is a part of the constellation Canis Major. Another dog is the unending list of Kuro between Borzois, Pomerians and Mastiffs. Canis Major represent the bigger of the two hunting dogs (other is Canis Minor) of Orion. Sirius is known as the “Dog Star” by itself as well.

There are many stories about Sirius and Cani Major among various legends, these do not directly correlate with the story at the moment.

Before going into the star lords, I wanted to say that it’s amazing how the “Queen’s Watchdog” title is so closely related to this. I love this series because of small connections like these.

Sirius is the rarest blood type and currently we know only a few characters that were confirmed to have it.

Before the twin reveal (and during the twin reveal), I would probably argue that Lord Sirius is a Phantomhive twin now. And we do know that it used to be RC. I know that RC said it is OC at the moment but what they define as a lord changes from Star to star. Is it that they are above all else with an internal food chain, or are they just additional supplements or supporters for Sirius with no distinction from all the other donors except their title when it comes to the survival of the Phantomhives.

I would like to look deeper into what RC said, but remember that he is a semi-walking corpse with the mentality of a 10-year-old child.

The title seemed very glorious and powerful before the 130-140 flashbackthe but if newer characters like Layla and Lord Polaris have their own bedrooms in the opera hall, I’m doubting that Undertaker would hold a Phantomhive -potentially knew before the story began- to the same degree as 3 other hidden characters at this point of the story. All the other lords all doing their jobs while Sirius is supposedly leading them and so he (she?) is off limits.

But I’m also skeptical that a character who died as an adult would be put into the lords category as the Lords are most likely close in age (pre-death age) because many of the Major groupings around the star and blood systems in Kuro include characters of the same generation. Like the prefects, idol prefects and the dog classes in the orphanage.

I understand that OC being Lord Sirius would lead to some amazing reveals, but I hope there is still another key character that is yet to be revealed.

Bramble: the mountain king OC I made specifically for a request. I’ll have a link to it for those who wanna read it. But I did get permission to use the requesters OC for it so you’ll get that very soon. But for now we are Focusing on Mari and who he was

The request

Mari is the thin/buff(?) troll that kidnaps Olle’s sister. I’m saying buff because I’m rewatching the gameplay and that sucker had a six pack.

Mari was the assigned guard to the princess, king Nils daughter.

Due to the busy schedule of the king, I can definitely see Mari watching her most of the time. She definitely forced him into a tea party or two.

He came from the same village as Näcken, although the two were very different ages and Mari was already working in the castle by the time Näcken had killed everyone.

The princess and her brother Ulrik definitely played pranks on him growing up. They weren’t very sneaky though so he’d just pretend to fall for them.

Mari was one of the witnesses that saw Prince Ulrik pass, he was also one of the first effected by the kings deeds. When the strange plants started taking over the castle, they had snatched him up and changed him.

He doesn’t remember his human life all that much. But one of the things the troll remembers was when he first woke up. He had stepped on a plain wedding band.

Mari had been married only a couple years, that is probably why the memory didn’t stick to the troll.

Mari was killed by day light when Olle made him stay until the light came. Mari did always like the sun light.

When the king was freed, the statue of Mari crumbled. The only thing that was left when the dust cleared was the wedding band.

He is actually named after my dog Mars - a mastiff- and a small streamer I watch called Marrixwrld, who is a young teen who often just streams for fun.

Mari liked to bake, so he would often bring sweets for the prince and princess.

Great baker, awful cook. He just can’t get it down for some reason.

A family man through and through.

By the time he was turned into a troll, Mari was already well into middle age, about 43 years old.

Most of the recruits would hear from him is complaints about his back.

He was one of the only people who openly objected to the murders the king committed, the only reason he was never punished was because of the princess.

When Prince Ulrik got sicker and ultimately died, Mari had already transferred to be his guard until he got better, or passed away.

When Prince Ulrik finally died and Mari became the princess’ guard again, it wasn’t long until the bramble took over the castle. That was the last time Mari saw the princess, king or any one of his fellow servants.

Mari was sickly pale, making him have a grayish pale appearance.

Shoulder length, loose curly black hair with a swoop to the bangs, making his forehead visible.

A thin but sturdy frame, with long legs, thin slender hands and lengthy arms.

Sunken almond eyes, dark brown in color with specks of green scattered throughout.

A sharp jaw and an Italian nose, thin lips with a deep Cupids bow, pointed up in the corners giving a light permanent smile.

If not in uniform, he was often in normal peasant clothes, the only “expensive” item he wore was his golden wedding band.

Dazai = springer spaniel. Cause I used to have one (or at least that’s what grandpa said he was) and they literally look the same like. It’s the same picture. Plus he was just as annoying as Dazai

Lucy is a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever which is a fancy title for a breed I chose cause it’s red

Fitzgerald is a Azawakh which is a decently rare and expensive dog breed that also kind of looks like him? They’re very sleek and elegant, which was what made me choose it over the most expensive breeds cause they’re all fairly bulky.

Naomi is the world’s most annoying husky and Juni is the half German shepherd half golden retriever that begrudgingly puts up with her bullshit

This might seem out of left field but. Fukuzawa is absolutely a mastiff breed of some sort. Big gentle giant protector energy. Can’t you just picture him looming behind tiny shi tzu Ranpo?

Kenji is the most Labrador to ever Labrador. He is the physical embodiment of a yellow lab.
