So just going to drop in with my last non-horny ask to talk about my fan continuity again. The factions are only semi at war with each other at the start, which I didn't mention before.
(Mostly because I just came up with the idea.)
MegOP went missing awhile back, interestingly not long before Damus was born, and he was born, not built and awakened by the Matrix or forged in a Hot Spot. The Decepticons and Autobots were dealing with some political issues as Optimus had been making secret overtures to talk peace, and Megatron had been considering.
Straxus led a coup against Megatron working with Strika, a shock to everyone, to overthrow him. This was during a tentative talk MegOP were having on a Neutral planet.
The Decepticons were split and SoundShock were firmly fuck you guys but the Straxus/Strika made a good name for themselves (or were feared) and took quite a bit of land. Skyquake closed the borders of his mini empire to keep everyone out and protect the civilians and non-combatants. He also worked with Starscream to find Megatron. Starscream was outwardly supportive, having been recently undermined in his position because Straxus had Flyhigh as a hostage.
The Autobots, meanwhile, were dealing with Optimus and Prowl being missing and Ultra Magnus being heavily injured and unable to lead. Fortress Maximus (more the Japanese Cartoon who I maintain is shady than the comic) takes command of the Autobots seemingly out of nowhere. He blames the Decepticons for what happens and quickly escalates the war. Jazz is thoroughly distracted trying to find everyone (he is taking care of Strongarm during this time) and figure out what is happening within the Decepticons (and if anyone in the Autobots helped) and Fort Max has his own command squad that is icing out Optimus's former leads.
MegOP eventually returns, rescued by Starscream's efforts, to settle their respective factions. Optimus with a new brightly-colored addition peeking out behind him. Prowl, meanwhile, comes back kicking and fighting with a bunch of heart eyed Decepticons he'd been sold with and then saved to help himself escape. He is the one who confirms he was sabotaged within and separated to make Optimus an easier target with Megatron’s guards.
The fighting has mostly died down now, peaking during the final clean up which lead to Scorponok acting up and a would be warlord Gigatron out where Thunderclash fought while Megatron tried to clear out all the traitors.
It was a bonding experience for Decepticon High Command. They actually are getting along better and the crisis settled any issues or questions on loyalty. Starscream and Megatron haven't gotten along so well in centuries.
Part of the “nepotism” in the mission sending the Autobot kids away to the edges for easy missions is that Autobot High Command finally has enough proof to make a move against those who helped kidnap Prowl and attempted to kill Optimus. They don't want any potential hostages having learned from Starscream's example.
oh lord, normally i would say "let us not tell anyone when this ask arrived" but this one is dated to the end of our no-horny week, so hello everyone, please look at my shame...
i fucking looove the politics in this, I love it when people do that. Makes the AU feel so alive.

Love's Elusive Chase: Nadia's 'Catch Me If You Can' In the whirlwind that is Nadia's ‘Catch Me If You Can’, you are dropped into a kaleidoscope of infatuation—each twist and turn, a shimmering façade of the unpredictable circus we call love. Living in Belfast must expose her to all sorts of weather, much like the emotions she stirs within this enchanting dance-pop symphony. Drawing from her Irish roots, yet conjuring an alchemy of modern synths and soulful cadences, Nadia crafts music laced with that special type of melancholy—one etched lovingly through powerful vocals and palpable passion. https://open.spotify.com/track/619OKpNGuvqszoDXY0Xwix Imagine being chased by shadows under moonlight; that’s how Nadia wants us to feel about love's elusive chase. Produced deftly by Spike Milliken at Mojo Recording Studios in Bangor NI—a warlock’s den if ever one was—it reverberates with rich textures designed to stir hearts. The erratic beats mimic lovers' heartbeats amid chaos—the sudden rush when eyes lock across crowded rooms dissolved into thumping bass lines sending pulses racing wildly. Nadia ascends into this tempest wearing armor forged from vocal steel—striking boldly through storm clouds woven out of rhythmical thunderclashes provided by synthesizers on overdrive. Despite these flights amidst mid-air windshear, it's evident there's no fear here but rather an embrace: 'Catch me if you can,' she sings out as both challenge and invocation—an exultant rebel yell across electro-sonic waves. [caption id="attachment_55733" align="alignnone" width="754"] Love's Elusive Chase: Nadia's 'Catch Me If You Can'[/caption] Could it be any clearer? Here stands not just a rising star but one eagerly pulling together her skyto craft a constellation named Desire—and leading us hand-in-hand onboard for gigs along an upcoming mini tour supporting Lyra suggests mere horizons ahead lie nowhere near this rocket trail soaring bright against love-lit skies above Ireland. To meet Nadia musically is neither simple nor plain; it unfolds as invitation embroidered upon notes spun densely rich with yearning—to dance wholeheartedly even among crashing waves or scurry beneath emotional flutterings without feint nor falter whilst singing recklessly—catch me… discover what hides truest inside your own throbbing chest echo chambers. Just posted "Flux Alta" Chapter 38 of The Life and Times of Skywarp.
I think this chapter took me just over a week to write. It doesn't yet resolve all the challenges of "Flux Alta" but builds up the dangers, gets the characters to their next stop, and introduces the guest star characters for this arc.
Thunderclash (Mini-Con) and Zwonkey already joined last chapter, but now we get Dipole, Rust Dust and Fastbreak (RD's Mini-Con partner here), Springer, Ser-Ket, and a couple more Seekers. A few other characters get mentions.
Some things I like about it:
Cyclonus being an elderly mentor in need of help
Attempting to write Springer
The metaphorical weirdness of Flux Alta
The challenge of writing multiple accents without actually writing out the accents.
Now, I have to write the next chapter and I'm not 100% on which way it goes. Is it like a 'bottle episode' with possible actual spinning bottles in which characters wait out the storm together? Is it full zombie apocalypse with Slicers and Sparkless? Does the conjunction of three moons over the Rust Sea make everybot act even weirder? All of the above?

Thank you both!! :)
I'm pretty into this concept, so I'm definitely going to see if I can use this to get back into fic writing once I'm all moved in up north.
So far, here are some of the swap ideas I have in mind, but I haven't figured out everyone yet so if anyone has suggestions I'm listening:
On the left is the bot and on the right is who's alt-mode code they end up with as a result of the Cosmic Storm Surge Fuckery.
All based on the Lost Light crew members as listed here.
Drift -> Ravage
Perceptor -> Whirl (I ended up choosing Whirl instead of Blades, because Perceptor's root mode would then get the funky Whirl design treatment, and that just seems cool to me. Does Perceptor wind up with an empurata helm? Maybe, but it would be rounder like his microscope lens.)
Rodimus -> Nautica
Ratchet -> Swerve (MINI BOT RATCHET feat. Cat Drift, I fully admit this is self-indulgent. lmao)
Cyclonus -> Mirage (He initially can't figure out how to stop being invisible and he doesn't want to be seen, so this is fine. He scares the shit out of everyone, and it's unclear if it's on purpose or not.)
Megatron -> Thunderclash (This makes Rodimus completely insane.)
Minimus Ambus -> Cyclonus (Tiniest frame to being one of the largest on board, and flight capable to boot. He is constantly trying not to panic, knowing that he has thrusters built in and he does not know how to use them.)
Tailgate -> First Aid ("Does this mean I'm a doctor now?" "NO.")
Ravage -> ??? (Nobody can find him. Megatron might know, but he's keeping it a secret. Nobody is willing to find out. Nobody ever finds out.)
First Aid -> Velocity (Thank Primus, because we need at least one medic who can still do their job without having to adjust to their own frame too much. He does get a femme Camien root mode, which he may or may not immediately write into his personal self-insert Wreckers fanfiction.)
And the rest I'm still figuring out!
Some Notes:
I'm being flexible with the crew manifest in terms of who's on board when, as there's not a specific point in time where this story takes place. That might change as I lock down the concept a little more, but for now I'm just havin' fun! :)
All bots getting mini-bot alt-mode coding will also have mini-bot sized root modes, and if a mini-bot gets an alt-mode from a larger bot, their root mode will also scale up to match. Because the goal is chaos, lmao.
Anyway yeahhhh this idea is in my brain now!!!!
Just jolted awake at 5 AM to share this idea lmao:
Cosmic Storm: Accidental Alt-Mode Swap Scenario
Some kind of cosmic electrical storm hits the Lost Light and everyone switches alt-modes
They can't figure out how this is even possible, best they can figure is that one of the waves of cosmic electricity rolled over the ship and bypassed their shields enough to affect the crew, just this huge arc of space electricity scrambling everyone all at once
And as it arcs from crew member to crew member (and zaps the shit out of the ship too), somehow this messes with everyone's systems enough that their t-cogs all attempt to reboot while everyone is still connected by the cosmic storm energy
Which results in everyone's t-cogs getting alt-mode data confused, as everyone simultaneously tries to stabilise their systems by purging stored energy so they don't get fried, so because they're all connected by this singular pulse of space bullshit it's like one massive accidental transfer of spark energy, personal systems data, and cosmic electroshock
It's 5 AM sorry if I'm not explaining this very well LOL
But nobody dies, and their systems actually seem to be relatively OK afterwards as far as they can tell, so nobody actually realises there's a problem until First Aid and/or Ratchet asks everyone to book in follow up appointments for full systems checks just to be sure
And as part of checking t-cog function whoever the first patient of the day is gets asked to transform briefly as part of a physical exam designed to help spot any non-critical t-cog damage
And there's no t-cog damage, not to the t-cog itself. Scans come back okay, everything looks good, so OK, time to proceed with the transformation test. Root mode to alt-mode, and then back to root mode.
If the t-cog and associated systems are functional, it should be pretty straightforward.
And the bot does successfully transform...
..Just, into the wrong alt-mode.
And immediately, The Problem Of The Day becomes clear.
Gradually people around the ship figure it out on their own as well, while the Med Bay staff are trying to figure out what the fuck is going on
Over in the Science Lab, Perceptor is messaging Ratchet frantically because he's realised the problem as soon as he tried to switch into his alt-mode to study some samples of a metal panel from the ship which has some damage from the cosmic electricity and uh oh turns out he's a fucking helicopter now
It's a problem that also alters their root modes, but only after their first transformation post-space storm. Something fully triggers whatever is wrong with their t-cog data only once they enter alt-mode, their root modes then re-configure to accommodate these changes following that initial "wrong" transformation sequence.
They have their own colours, their paint nanites etc. remain the same as always, but their modes have changed. So they get any kibble etc. that might come with that new alt-mode.
So Brainstorm goes to pick up some energon for both of them, then comes back and Perceptor suddenly has rotors and holy shit
Eventually everyone on board figures out something weird/potentially bad is happening with their t-cogs. Some people are too scared to test it and find out, while others immediately can't resist their curiosity or think it's better to figure out as soon as possible so they can adapt, and test it as soon as they hear some bots are just turning into completely different things, totally reconfigured.
This could be fun, also sort of terrifying (there is potential for body horror to some degree), and either way it's chaos.
When Drift triggers his alt-mode, he turns into a cat-- Seems like he's got Ravage's t-cog data. Nobody can find Ravage, and Megatron makes it clear that he'll be the only one to attempt to find him.
Rodimus turns into some kind of aqueous vehicle. Maybe Camien in origin. (Turns out it's Nautica's t-cog data.) He's fine with it as soon as he realises he's space flight capable for short distances and Magnus has to talk him out of trying to race the ship.
Of course, because it's Nautica's t-cog data, when he reverts back to root mode, he has a distinctly femme Camien-style frame. He loves it, because his armour isn't as heavy in this form, so he can go faster. (Once this is all over, he is strongly considering keeping some of these femme frame alterations...)
And if you want to use this as a setup for any shipping, yes indeed, some bots inevitably try to test out their newly altered frames with their partners or amicas. (The medical staff all advise against this because oh god nobody knows all the functions of their new systems yet, please do not end up in the Med Bay with "makeout related injuries" they are dealing with so much right now LOL)
Anyway my moving date is 25/01 but as soon as I'm settled into my new place I might turn this into a fic if I have time lmao

Um, LOVE your mini Thunder clash story. Can you tell us more? How small is he now? Is his frame a different shape or is he just mini?
Yay! I’m so excited to got into depth about Miniclash/Funsized Thunders!
So the general basis for this is that Thunderclash’s spark is too weak to support his true frame. Thus Brainstorm, Preceptor, Ratchet and Velocity all pitched in and build a frame Thunderclash’s spark could support and recover in.
Thunderclash’s new frame isn’t really small but small enough for Rodimus to hold like a stuffed animal at times. So I want to say he’s just a little shorter then Rodimus’ waist. That’s where I picture him to be but it’s not set in stone.
His frame is pretty much the same without the stuff on his back, without the extra weight on his back struts and such his spark can recover faster. But there’s some huge upsides with his new frame, he has more energy, no more aches (well from his spark ;)), his frame is more sensitive and his tanks are smaller so he doesn’t need to fuel as much. And Rodimus likes the idea of man handling his new fun sized boy friend.
So there’s ups and downs and adjustments Thunderclash needs to get use to, it’s great that Rodimus is there for him, along with some other minis that don’t mind lending a servo.

I'm not sure if this has been asked yet but can you do a fem!reader human who due to brainstorm is now the size of a regular bot. Mtmte please with Thunderclash, minis and who ever-else you feel like doing
I actually have a story where Reader grew big thanks to Brainstorm and in each different chapter, she goes and confesses to Bot of her dreams, one chapter belongs to Swerve, and they do the nasty. But I'll answer this with Thunderclash!
Thunderclash is so confused, he thought you were smaller the last time the two of you met. When you explain that it's all thanks to some little accident including Brainstorm's newest invention he is still a little confused.
He didn't know Brainstorm was that brilliant, but he isn't complaining. No, he smiles and takes your hand to gently kiss your knuckles and asks if you would do him honor of going out with him.
You can't even say no. Not when Thunderclash is being so charming, kind and top of all genuine about it? When you listened Rodimus talk about him you understood that Thunderclash would be egoistic and full of himself, but this mech was nothing like that.
So you agree to go out with him and you honestly have an amazing time. He takes you out to eat to this organic and Cybertronian friendly restaurant and holds the door open for you and pulls the chair back for you and goes all the way of being a perfect gentleman.
You thought he would only talk about himself if Rodimus was to be believed, but he asks about you, your family, Earth, and how you are feeling now thanks to your new height. He barely talks about himself but when you ask he asks if you really want to hear about his journeys and you nod happily.
After the dinner, he asks if you would like to go out for drinks and dancing. Agree or don't, he understands and takes you out or escorts you back to Lost Light. He won't leave you alone or abandon you, he sees you get back to Lost Light safely.
He will tell you how he had a good time with you, smiles and despite having grown as big as Cybertronian, you're still a couple heads shorter than Thunderclash so he pecks the top of your head and wishes you the good night before leaving.
You had a good time and you honestly wouldn't mind going out with him again.

One transformers masterpeice figure you want to be made.
Mine is rtf jolt
I honestly don't really collect Masterpieces, the closest thing I have is a 3rd party Tarn.
With the quality of mainline figures over the last few years I feel like the Masterpiece stuff has been made redundant....Siege and Earthrise Prime literally share engineering with MP10 Optimus, you're getting a mini Masterpiece for £25.
But of we're talking "What figures would I like to see a modern/Mainline/high quality interpretation of that's impossible to narrow down to one character, that's an entire line all on its' own.
Gimme a new Lugnut, Tidalwave, Nautica, Drift, Lockdown, strika & Obsidian, Thunderclash, Demolishor, Snowcat, Sideburn, Whirl, Roadbuster, Guzzle, Getaway, Dreadwing and Japanese exclusive characters like the combiner teams from Transformers Go and plenty of characters who've just never had figures like Javelin, Springarm, Fulcrum, Pharma, Lug & Anode, Rubble, Guage, Turmoil, Proxima, Flamewar, Sunder....You get the idea.

Howdy! I was wondering if I could request a lil scenario with swerve and an ace reader...(reader coming out to swerve) if that's okay!!!
You haven't been on the Lost Light for long, but in your short time you've made good friends with some of the bots. Mostly the minis, and especially Swerve. He had been super nice to you from the first day you arrived, asking you questions about Earth culture, what is and isn't like the movies, what your favorite shows and movies were. He even invited you to his movie on the first week, so you consider him a very close friend.
Which is why you hang out at Swerve's a lot. Even when the bar isn't open he'll let you in to chat and maybe help him get it ready for the next day.
Right now you're currently helping him clean the floors. Sure you can't clean as much of the space as he can but he still appreciates the help. And he appreciates the company even more.
"We've got a big day ahead tomorrow so I want the place to look nice!" Swerve says excitedly as he sweeps near a table, "Thunderclash is coming aboard and I wanna throw a party for him!"
"Who is Thunderclash?" You ask.
"Who is Thunderclash?!" He exclaims, dropping the broom and running over to you, "Only the best, coolest, most courageous, most heroic, most handsome Autobot of all time!" He says with a huge grin, "The guy is great! He's super nice and cool and he's helped thousands, he's got to be the greatest Autobot to ever exist! Not even Megatron could kill this guy!" He says waving his servos around, "He's amazing, incredible, beautiful, fantastic, handsome, smart and-"
"It kind of sounds like you have a crush on the guy." You joke.
Swerve's cheeks tint an energon pink, "Oh haha, I mean," He rubs the back of his helm, "Uhhh, A lot of bots do, I-I'm not just- I mean. He's cool and all but- Hey c'mon now don't laugh." Swerve frowns.
"Sorry," You let out one last chuckle, "I think it's nice, actually."
"Oh yeah? What about you then? Any crushes?" He asks, walking back over to his broom and picking it up, "Any bot here catch your eye? Or maybe you have someone back on Earth?"
"Nope."
"Wait… really?"
"Really."
"You don't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend back on Earth? And you're not interested in anyone here?"
"No and no. I'm not really interested in that kind of stuff. I'm what you'd call asexual."
Swerve scratches his chin, "I think I read about before… YEAH! I was checking out human sexualities and came across that. It's the one where you don't really feel any attraction, right?"
"Yeah. I mean… sometimes we can feel romantic attraction but not all of us. Some aces still date because of that but I'm not really focused on any of that right now, I'd rather focus on work and myself."
"Aces? Like the card? That's brilliant! I love it!" He lets out a playful laugh, "I never knew that about you. I know from movies and shows that telling people this kind of thing can be important to you humans, so I'm glad you decided to tell me y/n!" He says, leaning in the broom as you move to a different area to sweep, "Oh! I know! I could find some shows and movies that have asexual characters in them so we can watch those! I've seen some characters like that before and I wanna know if they're accurate now!"
You let out another chuckle, "Sure Swerve, I'll watch them with you."
"NICE! How about the day after tomorrow? We can make it a marathon!"
"What about your bar?"
"It'll be fine if I close it for one day. Besides, I want to get a better understanding of you and Earth, not just as an outsider, but as a friend." He smiles.
"Alright," You smile back, "The day after tomorrow sounds great then."

Dear Vector Prime, has Ramjet ever worked with a Mini-Con partner besides Thunderclash?
Dear Partner Perceiver,
While not usually classed as Mini-Cons, the renegade Ramjet did work with Eggbird, Eggbot, and Eggleo when he was transformed into the Cyborg Beast Pulsejet by Unicron's power.

Thunderclash Ruins Normal Spike for TFA Roddy
So, by popular demand or at least high interest, I’ve written my tfa!Roddy and ll!Thunders fic idea
Content: size kink, tummy bulge, excessive cum, kindling feelings
Enjoy!
Shots fire over the battlefield with resounding explosions as they make impact on the gray stone around them. Rodimus Prime pushes his back against a low outcropping and checks his bow, cursing as he takes in the damage. It was going to need extensive repairs after this and as it is now, he probably would only be able to get a few more shots in. Well, better make them count. He whips around to aim above his cover, targeting towards the Decepticons charging at him at full speed. Shutting his optics for just a flicker of a moment, thanking Primus that at the very least his team had managed to getaway. He pulls back and is just about to release as a sudden flash of light and a thunderous boom shakes the thin atmosphere, startling him and making his shot fly wide. Everything goes still as the dust begins to settle and a large silhouette lifts from the ground. It’s a mech like none Rodimus has ever seen, large and powerful like a Decepticon but land-bound like an Autobot. All Rodimus can think this mech could be is back up for the Decepticons here but they were far from needing any. What was going on?
Thunderclash looks around, dazed and confused, trying to gather his bearings and make sense of what just happened. Oh, right, Brainstorm happened, his processor finally provides helpfully. He turns to spot some unusual looking transformers emblazoned with the Decepticon insignia making him go on guard immediately. The war may be over but that certainly didn’t seem to stop any Decepticons they’ve met so far from wanting to continue hostilities. Realizing they were already on the attack as he puts his stance wide, he traces their line of attack to find their quarry. His optics land on a small bot, a mini and at that moment Thunderclash recognizes his shape, his colors and realizes he must be in another universe for he’s staring at a small replica of Rodimus Prime. He doesn’t need to spare a moment more to think about it, whatever the current situation, these Decepticons were going down. He wasn’t about to let any incarnation of Rodimus come to harm, not even that one evil one they met.
Rodimus watches in slack-jawed awe as the new arrival swiftly knocks the front-most Decepticon back like he weighed nothing more than an annoying stack of datapads. The mech’s movements were practiced and elegant like he’d been doing this all his life, a true machine of war. It didn’t make any sense in Rodimus’s processor as to why this mech who should be among Megatron’s most elite was defending him and he knew this mech was defending him after seeing that look in his red optics. Before Rodimus can come to any kind of census in his processor, the Decepticons who had been on the verge of bringing him to his end are retreating with heavy wounds of terribly dented armor and rips through their plating leaking energon. The mech turns around now covered with blast marks and scratches that don’t even seem to phase him with the occasional splatter of energon here and there. None of the energon could be his with how there wasn’t a single significant wound on his body. The strange mech smiles down at him and Rodimus can feel his frame heat inexplicably.
Thunderclash slowly walks towards the small Rodimus and kneels down to reach his hand out to him.
“Are you alright?” Thunderclash calls softly to him, not wanting to startle him.
The mech has an Autobot brand on his chest but he’s so tall and big, Rodimus can’t fathom it. Without thinking, Rodimus reaches it out and places his hand on the mech’s outstretched one. Upon the light touch, the mech’s hand wraps around his completely, encasing it gently but firmly in a warm embrace before he’s helped up from kneeling. Rodimus stares up mech and feels very small as he stands to see he only reaches the mech’s spike cover which serves to fill his processor with very unseemly thoughts that make his faceplates heat up. He blames it on the high of battle and pushes the thought roughly away.
“Yes, thank you,” Rodimus keeps his optics firmly trained on his face.
Thunderclash smiles down at this mini Rodimus and then feels his face heat in embarrassment as he realizes he hasn’t even introduced himself yet, “Oh, uh, I’m Thunderclash by the way.”
“Thunderclash,” Rodimus repeats and clears his intake, embarrassed at how dreamy his voice sounds saying this mech’s name.
“You must be Rodimus Prime, the Rodimus Prime of this universe that is,” Thunderclash says and releases his hand when he notices he was still holding it.
Rodimus blinks up in surprise and nods, “Yes, you’re from another universe? Do you know my alternate there?”
“I am,” Thunderclash’s smiles warmly again making Rodimus’s spark stutter, “He’s my captain, the captain of the Lost Light. I’m rather proud of that claim.”
A burst of jealousy that Rodimus knows is completely unreasonable bubbles up in his spark as he puts on a smile for Thunderclash.
“That sounds nice,” Rodimus scratches the back of his helm nervously.
Suddenly, his communicator beeps and he sees the message is coming in from command. He looks up apologetically at Thundeclash who waves him off with understanding. Rodimus nods his thanks and walks a few steps away to answer his communicator.
“Rodimus Prime,” Ultra Magnus’s strong voice pops in with a burst of static, “What is your situation?”
“I remained behind to give my team a chance to escape,” Rodimus reports, chancing a glance at Thunderclash every so often seeing him on his own call, “The Decepticons retreated after I received some aid from…”
Rodimus stalls as the ridiculousness of Thunderclash’s existence crashes over him. He couldn’t just tell Ultra Magnus he’d got help from a giant Autobot from another universe, that would sound insane.
“Rodimus?” Ultra Magnus prompts him, sounding concerned.
Rodimus shakes his head and responds, “I received some aid from a surprisingly adept civilian who helped me beat back the Decepticons.”
“That is… surprising,” Ultra Magnus says over the comm, thankfully sounding more surprised than doubtful, “We will have to give this civilian a commendation. A transport is set to arrive at your destination in two cycles with a Red Alert. We anxiously await your return.”
“Thank you, sir,” and with that the call ends.
Thunderclash walks up to him, “I’ve been told that I’m going to be picked up in just a few hours. So, I guess I’m here until then. You?”
“Transport is on its way,” Rodimus shrugs then tilts his head, “Hours?”
Thunderclash shrugs, “Earth time. It caught on pretty quickly on our ship.”
“Okay…” Rodimus says not sure how else to respond.
They stand there awkwardly for a moment, neither of them quite sure what to say. Thunderclash pats his legs for a moment and looks at an outcropping of rocks, thoughts flitting behind his optics.
“It’s going to be a while until I can get back, until either of us are going to get back,” Thunderclash points to the outcrop and looks back at Rodimus, “I’m going to go sit over there, maybe catch some recharge. Feel free to join me if you wish.”
Thunderclash walks over to the outcropping and slides down its surface so his back is to it and stretches his strong arms out before resting them on his knees. Rodimus watches him, feeling a sudden sense of indecision. There was a real possibility he was never going to see this mech again and Rodimus wanted… He didn’t know what he wanted really or, rather, he wanted to many things. He knew exactly what he wanted what was he kidding himself for? If they’re never going to see each other again after this then there was no harm in testing the waters or even taking the plunge. If he asked the worst that would happen is that he would be embarrassed for two whole cycles and that would be the end of it. Making a decision, Rodimus walks up to Thunderclash and rests a hand on his knee, getting Thunderclash to look up at him with an open expression.
“Uh, I would like to give you my thanks,” Rodimus drums his fingers on Thunderclash’s knee, “for saving me, I mean.”
Thunderclash smiles sweetly at him, genuinely touched, “It was no trouble.”
“No, I know,” Rodimus gets closer, moving his hand to Thunderclash’s shoulder, leaning in closer with his spark spinning a mile a minute, “I saw how you defeated them with barely straining a cable. I just want you to know…”
Thunderclash doesn’t move as Rodimus leans in, optics traveling to his derma and staying stock still, not entirely believing that this was happening. Rodimus leans in close and presses a kiss against his lips which Thunderclash would like to say that he had a bit more self-control and didn’t immediately melt into it but he did. Having this small version of Rodimus in his arms was like a dream. He doesn’t remember when he pulled Rodimus into his lap, but there he was, kneeling and kissing Thunderclash like his life depended on it. Thunderclash trails his hands over Rodimus’s frame, unable to resist the mech in front of him, feeling how small he is with his frame fit perfectly into Thunderclash’s hands. One of Rodimus’s knees rubs Thunderclash’s panel and it snaps open to let his spike pressurize between them. He tries to apologize to Rodimus but his words turn into a gasp as he feels Rodimus grab the head of his spike and run his thumb over it.
“Is this okay?” Rodimus pants out and Thunderclash just nods.
Thunderclash feels his processor practically melt as Rodimus starts stroking his spike, eyeing it with a hungry optic that Thunderclash had never even imagined on the face of his captain. Then, Rodimus uncovers his valve and lowers down in front of Thunderclash’s spike so he can push up against it with his wet valve. Making a choked off sound in his intake, Thunderclash grabs onto what he can of Rodimus as he balances on Thunderclash’s knees and starts grinding against Thunderclash’s spike. Thunderclash just moans and watches as Rodimus’s, this alternate Rodimus’s valve lips hug his spike as Rodimus moves his hips along it, gasping whenever his node rubbed against the head of Thunderclash’s spike. Rodimus’s legs begin to shake so Thunderclash takes him in his arms and moves to his knees so he can keep grinding his spike between the hot folds of Rodimus’s valve. He looks down at Rodimus whose optics are blazing with light and his face is practically split with how wide his smile is, optics firmly locked on Thunderclash’s spike.
Thunderclash moves his hips faster, getting Rodimus to cry out sweetly and pant, hot to the touch in Thunderclash’s hands. Then Rodimus grabs the head of his spike and squeezes, sending a jolt through Thunderclash that makes him stop cold, panting and moaning heavily.
“I want you to overload inside me,” Rodimus leans up and captures Thunderclash’s derma in a slow, gentle kiss before breaking it with a swipe of his glossa over Thunderclash’s lower lip.
“I don’t think…” Thunderclash vents out between pants only to screw his optics shut as Rodimus lines himself up with Thunderclash’s spike.
“Just go slow,” Rodimus trails his hand down Thunderclash’s length with one hand as grips Thunderclash’s arm with the other.
When Thunderclash still hesitates, Rodimus pushes himself down onto his spike some, the head of Thunderclash’s spike already stretching him obscenely so his node rubs against Thunderclash’s spike. Leaning down to steady himself on one hand, Thunderclash pushes in at a painfully slow pace, terrified of hurting this Rodimus. As the spike pushes deep inside of the wet heat of Rodimus’s valve, he relaxes to let more and more in. Rodimus moans as he sees how his plating shifts to let Thunderclash in, a bulge forming on his abdomen where Thunderclash’s spike is. Thunderclash feels himself shaking as he tenses every cable in his body to keep him from simply sinking into Rodimus, his valve impossibly tight around his spike. He can feel heat gather in his array and pressure build in his spike, waiting to be released.
Rodimus grips Thunderclash’s chestplate and tugs him down sharply to look him in the optic, “You’re not allowed to overload yet, not until you’re all the way in then you can.”
Something ignites along Thunderclash’s lines and he bites his derma as he continues to push in slowly, using every ounce of his willpower to hold back which comes harder as more of his spike pushes into Rodimus. Rodimus feels Thunderclash’s spike twitch in his valve as he’s stretched wide and filled so completely his hips twitch and spasm, unable to escape the almost overwhelming sensations. Finally, Thunderclash feels Rodimus’s valve lips press against his pelvic plates and sighs with relief, pausing as he vents heavily, heat and charge clouding his processor. Rodimus runs a hand over his lower plating over the shallow bulge and bites his derma as he writhes on the spike, gasping as the ridges rub against the walls of his valve.
“Well come on,” Rodimus pants excitedly, his optics flaring erraticly, “I know you’re desperate to overload. So, do it, I want to feel you overload inside me.”
Thunderclash chokes off a groan and practically overloading upon Rodimus’s command, filling him with hot transfluid, so that some pushes past his spike to drip onto the gray stone below. Rodimus cries out as he’s filled, overloading on Thunderclash’s spike, his valve unable to tighten anymore around Thunderclash’s spike that’s filling him so completely. They come down from their overloads rapidly rather than gradually and charge immediately begins to build again in Rodimus’s systems and he moves his hips however much he can.
“Keep going,” Rodimus begs, gripping desperately onto Thunderclash, “Please, I need more.”
Thunderclash swallows a moan and pants out, “Say that again.”
Rodimus groans in frustration and all but shouts, “Just frag me! I want you to use that spike of yours to- Ah!”
Thunderclash thrusts and Rodimus digs his fingers into Thunderclash’s arms, unable to form words, barely even able to think as Thunderclash’s spike fills him over and over. Unable to control himself any longer Thunderclash let’s loose, pounding into Rodimus as he keeps him still in one arm, his hand holding Rodimus’s hip tightly. It’s fast and rough, with the obscene sounds of Rodimus’s wet valve being used. Overload takes them both more violently this time, charge licking their frames in broad arches as Thunderclash spills again into Rodimus’s valve, making Rodimus feel warm and heavy in a way he’s never known before. They calm down completely this time and Rodimus winces slightly as Thunderclash’s spike depressurizes out of him, letting cold air hit his valve. Rodimus scrambles to hold onto something as Thunderclash stands up rapidly and walks him over to a taller bolder and sets him down gently. Pulling a clean rag out, Thunderclash begins cleaning him up, muttering under his vents.
Rodimus puts a hand on Thunderclash’s chest, getting him to stop for a moment.
“What is it?” Rodimus asks and Thunderclash looks incredibly chagrined.
“I should’ve had more control, now look at you, you’re all…” Thunderclash rubs his fingers into Rodimus’s abdomen plating soothingly, encouraging them to return to their normal extension.
“Stretched out?” Rodimus offers teasingly but Thunderclash only looks regretfully.
Rodimus pulls Thunderclash’s face down and kisses him again.
“I liked that a lot,” Rodimus smiles up at him, “I hope you did too.”
Thunderclash nods sheepishly and stares down at Rodimus, a faint pang forming in his spark. Wanting every moment he can have of this fantasy, he finishes cleaning them both up then pulls Rodimus to him, to hold him and kiss him sweetly until he gets a notice that just in a few minutes, he’ll be able to go home. The swirling blue vortex appears suddenly in the air and with one last farewell, one last kiss, Thunderclash walks through the hazy portal, returning to his own universe and leaving Rodimus alone.
Later, his transport arrives right on time with Cliffjumper and Red Alert in tow. He boards it with barely a word, feeling a strange kind of melancholy that he didn’t know how to describe. Red Alert guides him to the small medbay and checks him over. To lost in his own thoughts, he misses the concerned glances of the transport crew and the critical gaze of Cliffjumper. Red Alert smirks and that’s what catches his optic.
“What?” Rodimus asks, his tone reflecting his sour demeanor.
Red Alert just shakes her head, “Usually, mechs are a bit more cheerful after getting fragged to within an inch of their life. Have fun with our hero did we?”
Rodimus splutters and Red Alert waits patiently for him to form coherent words. He has to clear his intake of static, her comment throwing him so off guard.
“How do you mean?” he asks as flatly as he can even though he’s completely on edge now.
She points to his abdomen and explains simply, “Your plating is distended at quarter capacity. That only happens for two reasons and seeing as how I didn’t have to turn you the right way out again, you got fragged.”
Rodimus looks away, faceplate heating to a bright red, “Oh.”
“Oh indeed,” Red Alert chuckles, “I guess your hero got all the commendation they wanted then?”
Rodimus doesn’t say anything at first then very quietly says, “He was… nice.”
Red Alert stops and turns around at that to see the melancholy from before return. She walks over and pulls him into a tight hug.
“Oh, Rodimus, I’m sure, you’ll see him again.”
They journey back to Cybertron and Rodimus tries very hard to forget a mech with kind red optics, and a sweet smile.

Human Artist S/O Reader Headcanons
Here's a headcanon that no one asked for, but I decided the world needed anyway. It has Rodimus, Drift, Ultra Magnus/Minimus Ambus, Megatron, Rung, Ratchet, and Swerve. In that order. Requests are still open you can find them here.
youtube
Rodimus:
-Most of your works that star him are when he's fighting. The way he can twist and turn and move is both daunting and dazzling. And he couldn't agree more. Though his favorite is a huge painting you did of a selfie you two took. He hung it up behind his desk.
-Can't get enough of your art. He loves everything about it, especially when he's the subject. He proudly displays everything you do. Even if you protest. Always says that "it's too good to stay hidden".
-Loves to watch you do your thing. He could literally watch you for hours. And that's saying something since he has a very short attention span. Though him not being able to see what you're doing is not an option.
-You better believe that he has tried to get you to do something sexual of him. He's watched Titanic once. Once! Now he tells you to "paint him like one of your French girls" while his interface panels are open at least once a week. You have walked out many times. You have given in a few times. Roddy is very pretty. He definitely tried to put the first one up in his office, but Ultra Magnus immediately walked in and took it down (to this day, neither of you know how he found out so fast when no one had even seen it yet). That was a long lecture. One time, while he was sitting on his desk waiting for you in his office with his panels open, Ultra Magnus walked in. Got arrested by Ultra Magnus.
-Loves the little sketches you do on his desk. Had Brainstorm make a nontoxic clear spray that he can put on top of them to make sure they won't come off. Will pick you up and hold you if you try to erase them before he can use the chemicals. "You can't. It's there now. And there it shall stay." Caught you peeling them off once. Literally cried and pouted for the entire day. You never did that again. He found a chibi sketch of you winking and saying, "You can do it! I believe in you, Roddy!" and looks at it when he is about to give up on writing and/or reading reports, among other things. It makes him smile.
-Keeps literally EVERYTHING you make. Refuses to get rid of any of it. "It's special and beautiful!" "It's a fucking triangle, Rodimus." "And what a wonderful triangle it is!"
-Has a wall of his hab suite and office reserved for your art. He puts the private ones and the ones he just wants to keep to himself in his hab. Everything else goes in his office. Including the triangle. Sometimes he puts your art around the ship were the others will see it, but it doesn't stay there for long before it goes to either his suite or office.
-You have received MANY Rodimus Stars for your art. Mini ones.
-Found you trying to get rid of a book of "useless" sketches and line art behind his back. He confiscated it. The pages were all over his walls the next day.
-Will often join you if you are doing some kind of cool scenery. Normally this will include fire whether it is apart of the landscape or not.
-Does not like it when you draw other bots.
-Was royally pissed when he found a drawing of Thunderclash. He called you a cheater and a Thunderclash groupee and ran off. He avoided you for an hour before he came crawling back to you. Literally.
Drift:
-The majority of the works you do of him are when he's meditating or training. He always looks so graceful and calm. Unless he's stabbing something. Then he's badass and awesome.
-Cherishes everything you give him. Keeps the drawing of you and him in his spark chamber. Frames many of the things you make for him. Takes VERY good care of them. Whirl accidentally ripped the corner of one. He promptly lost his shit. Played Chase-The-Chopper-With-Swords until Ultra Magnus caught him. Got arrested by Ultra Magnus.
-Subtly watches you while you sketch. Finds it very relaxing. Will stop if you ask, but gets sad if you do.
-Finds the little sketches you leave here and there very cute. Will look fondly at them at times. Gets sad if he notices one that he regularly looks at is suddenly gone. He needs to get something to keep them there.
-Thinks of you drawing, painting, or sketching as you meditating. Does not allow you to be disturbed until you're finished or take a break.
-Has caught you getting rid of whole pages of art before. Does not stop you. Does not let you know he saw you do it. And definitely does not collect them while you aren't looking and hide them somewhere high or behind others.
-"Wait don'T GO UP THERE!"
-Is very private about the things you make for him. Doesn't like to show others what you've created for his eyes. It was for him, not the- what do you mean they can see it?
-Has asked and allowed you to draw and/or paint him with his panels open a few times. The first time was you asking him. He didn't think you'd want to so he refused to ask you first. Only does this in the privacy of his hab suite. This time is normally spent with light flirting and suggestive movements. Movements which are followed by you saying he messed up your angle and you leaving. He doesn't move anymore.
-Will join you if the ship stops at a very beautiful and peaceful planet. Thinks of this as meditation.
-The picture you drew of Tarn absolutely did NOT scare the ever living spark out of him. (Why was it so realistic and detailed!?)
-Doesn't mind if you do art of other bots, but does get a bit jealous at times depending on the position they're in. "Isn't that a little inappropriate?" "... He's sitting down... Resting his head on hand... And not even facing me. And it's for Chromedome."
Ultra Magnus/Minimus Ambus:
-Most of the art staring him are when he's working at his desk. Your favorites are when he isn't wearing his armor. You do have a few of him arresting Whirl though.
-Will carefully frame some of the bigger pieces and hang them neatly in his office. Keeps them VERY clean. Readjusts then at least five times a day only to put them in the. Same. Exact. Spot. Has arrested Whirl for defacing the huge portrait you made for him with a little more force than necessary. Keeps some of the smaller ones framed in his hab suite. They are the majority of his personal belongings.
-Will glance at you while you sketch, but doesn't watch you for long periods of time because he doesn't want to disturb you or make you feel uncomfortable. Finds it soothing when you do it while he's filling out reports. You're both being productive.
-He is very conflicted about you drawing on his desk. Literally blew a fuse the first time he saw you doing it. Does he get rid of it? Does he keep it? But his perfect desk. And the crew already doesn't respect him. You didn't notice until he suddenly slumped back in his chair with smoke pouring out of the seams in his head. If he catches you doing it he will silently slide your sketch pad to you. Refuses to put anything on top of the chibi drawing of you hugging Minimus, but does block it from the view of the bots sitting on the other side of his desk with a stack of datapads.
-Does not stop you from getting rid of art. If you don't want it you can always make more. And it's your art, therefore, it's your choice what you do with it.
-Has never and will never ask you to do anything with his interface panels open. Immediately refusing if you ask saying, "That would be highly inappropriate."
-Is extremely private about the things you make for him. Doesn't offer to show anyone the things you give him. Gets a little irritated if he catches someone (Rodimus) paying more attention to your art than what he's saying while they're in his office. You're in here for a reason, damn it! Yes, it's really good, but you could at least be subtle about ignoring him.
-Is not nearly confident enough in his artistic abilities to join you, no matter how many times you tell him he's good.
-Doesn't mind you drawing the other crew members, but did get very worried when you drew a Decepticon.
-You definitely don't draw Decepticon symbols on his desk to get back at him for blowing you off to work over time.
Megatron:
-The majority of your works with him has a subject are when he's in the bridge or when he's writing poetry.
-Your favorite (and his) is the one you made of you, him, Ravage, and Terminus.
-Handles all of your art with care. He understands the importance of art. Hung up the large portrait you made of his behind his desk. Yeeted Whirl down the hall for defacing it, and had Ravage chase him. Got arrested by Ultra Magnus.
-They are LITERALLY all the personal possessions he has. He didn't exactly bring anything with him. Except for Ravage. But that was an accident. And Ravage is a friend, not a possession.
-Not only does he watch you do your art thing, but he also writes poetry about it. He loves the look of concentration you get when you're really focused. It can always make him smile no matter what mood he's in.
-Fondly traces the chibi sketch of you and him standing back to back with arms crossed over your chests and smirking on his desk. Hides it under a datapad when someone comes in after someone (Rodimus) teased him about it.
-Has never and probably will never ask you to do any kind of art with his interface panels open, but does agree if you ask him. Though only in the privacy of his room. Is not shy about it at all. "I'm far too old to be bashful," he says as he opens his panels with a smirk.
-Cringed when he found a picture of Tarn. "... Why?" That was awkward. You had planned on just drawing a rough sketch of him and then draw an X over his face, but you got carried away and couldn't bring yourself to ruin it or get rid of it, so you stashed it.
-Does not stop you from getting rid of the art you don't want or like. Does not bring it up. Because even though he understands the importance of art he also understands why someone would want to change or get rid of theirs.
-The things you create for him do not leave his hab suite or office. Has never liked people looking at his stuff, and it's worse with your art because he sees it as personal.
-Would rather watch you work than do it with you. Besides, it gives him time to write about you.
-When he got stabbed by Cyclonus he let you repaint his chest.
-Doesn't really care if you draw other bots. Justs asks that you not give Rodimus the satisfaction of doing anything for him. "There would be no living with him then."
Rung:
-Most of your drawings and paintings of him are him working on one of his models. Your favorite one is when he let you paint him without his glasses.
-He lets you paint his models when they need it.
-Loves to watch you sketch more than anything else. What you draw lets him know what you're thinking and how you're feeling. He tries really hard not to psychoanalyze you when you go from one thing to the next, but he can't help himself sometimes. He always keeps his findings to himself unless he thinks you're in a really bad state of mind. Communication is key.
-Keeps all of the things that you give him in his office. He says it creates a more comfortable environment for his patients. And he loves to look at them when he, himself, gets troubled.
-Uses the clear coat polish for his models on the drawings you put on his desk. Always asks if he can before he paints them. Covers none of them. Often smiles at the little chibi version of you hugging him and saying, "It'll be okay, love."
-If he catches you getting rid of art he stops you and asks you why. If he doesn't like the answer you give, he will try to convince you to either give them to him or continue to work on them. If you still want to get rid of them he will let you. It is your art. So it's your choice if you want to get rid of it. That does not mean that he agrees with you. He may mention it later.
-Has never and will never ask you to draw him with his interface panels open. Will always politely refuse with a blush if you ask. "I-I'm very flattered, but I would simply be far too embarrassed."
-Uses some of the techniques you say are particularly relaxing with his patients. Except for Whirl. All he likes to paint are gruesome scenes that mostly compose of him killing someone in one way or another. And that's about the opposite what his therapy is for.
-Will on rare occasions join you in sketching or painting, but he'd much rather watch you. There's truly nothing more relaxing to him than to watch you paint a beautiful and serene landscape.
-Likes it when you draw others. Especially his patients. He gets to show them when they come in. "I wouldn't do Red Alert though. He might think you're watching him."
Ratchet:
-90% of the works featuring Ratchet are of him working because that's what he's doing 90% of the time. His favorite is the huge portrait you made of him, First Aid, and Ambulon in the medibay. He hung it up in the back of the medibay where everyone could see it when they walked in.
-Really likes your art, but doesn't fully understand why he's the subject of your passion more often than not. "There are literally dozens of interesting bots on this ship, why don't you try doing something for them for a change?" "Why would I do that when I already have the most interesting one right here?" "W-Wha- I- You can't jus- You can't possibly be serio-... Tch. Fine. Do what you want." That was one of the only times you have ever heard him stutter and the only time you have ever seen him blush.
-Likes to watch you work, but you always do it while he's working. He also enjoys just being next to you while you draw. The calmness around you is so relaxing not to mention a nice change of pace.
-Loves finding the little drawings you leave around the medibay. They're especially helpful when he has difficult and/or drunk patients come in. He always looks at the one you left on his desk. It's a chibi of you smiling and saying, "Hang in there, Doc. I love you!" He did get onto you for calling him Doc, but he could never get rid of it. Though he will cover it if Whirl, Swerve, or Rodimus comes in for a che- Wait. How the hell did you get one on the ceiling!?!
-Has never and will never ask you to do anything with his interface panels open. If you ask him, he always says, "... I'm too old for this shit," and walks away from you.
-If you give him something small he asks you to hold onto it for him. If you make something small, but personal for him he may put it in his hab suite or put it on the glass of the medibay cabinets. He does have a framed drawing of a picture that was taken with you on his shoulder by Rewind on his desk.
-If he sees you getting rid of something he doesn't question it. You can always make more. But if you try to erase something you've drawn around the medibay he gets mad. "Excuse you. You already gave that to me. Now scram or go do something else. I'm working he- WHIRL, SIT YOUR ASS DOWN! NO, DON'T TOUCH THAT!"
-Lost his shit when Whirl put a hole in the portrait of the three medics. Ultra Magnus had to stop him. "And what do you think you were doing?" "Examining his brain." "YOU WERE BEATING HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH A WRENCH!!!" "Oh, was I? I get those two mixed up all the time." Got arrested by Ultra Magnus.
-Won't participate in anything art wise with you. It's just not his thing. He'd rather you do it and watch you.
-Likes when you draw other members of the crew. Especially his fellow medics and Ten. (But don't think he didn't notice you staring fondly at that drawing on your desk, First Aid. You better not.)
Swerve:
-Most of the works he's in are set in the bar or in his hab suite watching soap operas. Your favorite is a painting of a picture you took of him laughing while mixing a drink behind the bar. His favorite is the portrait of you and him sitting at the bar (while it was empty) grinning and holding hands.
-He cherishes everything you make for him. His room is covered in your art. He has dozens of the little sketches you make around his recharge slab along with the hundred or so drawings of you and him that he's asked for you to make. If he's having a bad day and you aren't around he looks at them.
-Hordes all of your art. If you make something it is not to be destroyed EVER. If he finds you getting rid of anything he immediately runs over and takes it from you. "No! Not allowed!" And puts them with the rest in his room.
-Has drawings and paintings and sketches of the crew hanging out at Swerve's proudly displayed around the bar. Loves when bots gather around them to laugh at the memories.
-Would never have the courage to ask you to draw him with his interface panels open, but he wants you to. He's watched Titanic too many times. He's had you watch Titanic too many times. You've watched Titanic too many times. You refuse to watch Titanic again. When you ask him if he'd like you to "paint him like one of your French girls" his face turns pink with energon and his fans turn on almost immediately. Of course, he says yes.
-LOVES the little drawings you leave on his bar. Had Brainstorm make a clear nontoxic spray so they would stay there in exchange for free drinks for the night. Threw a glass at Whirl's head when he accidentally scratched one off. Was chased around the ship by a pissed helicopter. Was rescued by Ultra Magnus. Was arrested by Ultra Magnus.
-He loves to stare dreamily at the chibi sketch of you blowing a kiss and saying, "I love you, Swerve!"
-Loves to paint with you, but thinks he's horrible so he doesn't do it too often unless you beg him. Loves to watch you paint on and with Ten.
-Does get extremely jealous if you draw someone else more than twice in a row. He's so worried you're going to leave him for someone else. "So how come you've been drawing Rodimus so much lately?" "He's Rodimus. He asked me to."

Note
( Bee leans in to take a close look at this guy. )
Thunderclash spots the mini, and sporting that same big smile he always had greets the curious mech.
"Well hello there mech! I can't say I've met you before. The name is Thunderclash, and it is very nice to meet you!"

I'm trying to start work on the next chapter, 37, which I suspect will be titled "The Road to Damaxus" or such because it involves travel to "Damaxus" which pretty much only exists in canon so writer(s) of Beast Wars: Uprising could include a line about Rattrap being killed on the road to Damaxus and make a reference to The Road to Damascus lore in which the Apostle Paul supposedly sees a light and is struck blind and hears god and ultimately converts his faith. So, famous conversion story.
But in Transformers 'conversion' is a now-common alternative to transformation (as convert is to transform) for legal/branding purposes. So there's the possibility for layered meaning with there being changing of modes as well as allegiances.
So, I'm guessing, given I'm writing in a continuity soup setting anyway that Damaxus exists, Skywarp's team is heading there, and that conversion will be a theme.
It's possibly an island city within the Rust Sea and bordering the Toxic Sludge Swamp, so I'm guessing it has some stilt-house/bayou/swamp aesthetic. There is a road that approaches it.
Oh, what if the structures are made from...Damaxus steel? Huh? A special dark ferrous alloy that has some carbide or pre-oxidized surface patina that protects it from further corrosion.
Corrosion. Maybe there's a case for Sister of Mercy inspiration. That opening (of This Corrosion) is very appropriate to a conversion story.
I think this is where we introduce Thunderclash (the Mini-Con) as a bot who encounters Skywarp on this path and suddenly wants to follow him.
Just posted Wallflower and Warship, chapter 36 of The Life and Times of Skywarp.
I think this one took me around 2-ish weeks to write. It's a long-ish one as well. It's mostly about Skywarp and Mirage getting around to going on their date, but also somewhat about the ways they get interrupted by others around them and their preparations to part ways.

Lost Light #22 Thoughts & Feels
Goodness. It's been a while since I've written up one of these posts but, now that I'm free of the grips of cosplay, it only makes sense to hop right back in with this issue. And, oh boy, what an issue!
Under a read more for the biggest of all spoilers.
+First off, the Misfire/Swerve team is beautfiful, and I will tear this universe apart to keep them together. Fite me.
+Yay! Megatron is back! I'm happy to see him but obviously Magnus and Rodimus will be a bit miffed. Not like they parted on the best of terms... Yeah, bugger you, Terminus.
+HAND! GIANT HAND! WHA?!
+OH SHIT! IS THAT CYBERTRON?! WHAT'S GOING ON! WHAT DO YOU MEAN “That's Primus” WHAT!
+Throwing in one more WHAT for good measure.
+BTW I was wrong. A few T&F posts ago I said that the Council couldn't become even bigger pricks than they are now. I was wrong. They heard my statement and said “Primus, hold our planet sized beer,” and considering what is revealed later in the issue, their hypocrisy has reached all an new levels of prickness.
+”Okay, so you see the fleet of Decepticon worldsweepers? See the green one? That's us. We're in there. I'm waving.”
I hope Megs waves back. It'd be rude not to. Also, the following exchange of “Why are you in a worldsweeper?” “Hm?” is perfect. Say what you want about Autobot Megatron, I will never not love the Rodimus/Megatron back and forth. Even the little admission from Rodimus, that Megatron “isn't that bad once you get to know him”, brought a smile to my face.
+I'm glad that Megatron wasn't the Big Bad like the last issue was hinting at. After everything he went through with the LL crew, plus his second chance in the FU, I would've been super irked if he went “evil” again. It's a shame the current IDW canon is ending, though, I would've loved a mini series detailing Meg's time in the FU. Looks like he's been busy.
+Do something? What can they do, Flame? Flame? FLAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMEEEEE?!
(Yes, I know this one was a bit forced, but it's been forever since I've seen Flame! How could I resist!)
Tumblr media
[Bites on fist] HGGGGNNNN!!! This is really sweet!
+It is hard to conceive of a greater affront to the Mechanica Divine than a multitude of false Cybertrons.”
OH DO FUCK OFF! You're flying around in the biggest possible example of your hypocrisy! You've moved the goal posts so often I doubt you can even see them any more! Later in the issue Megatron explains that the council altered Cybertron itself, allowing it the power of space travel and transformation. Remember how enormous a sin deviating from your Alt-modes original purpose was to the Council? Nah? No worries. Neither do they.
Tumblr media
Nuuuuuu! I wanted Megatron and Pax to be happy together Q_Q
But wait, hang on, did Megatron ever meet FU!Rung? The only contact I remember them having was Megatron seeing FU!Rung's corpse. Bit of a stretch on the Council's part to claim Megs “loved” Rung. Does this mean FU!Rung survived the moon battle? Just another question to  question for Roberts at TFNation.
+Oh no. Terminus died... How tragic.
+DRIFT D:!
+Pharma's thirst for Ratchet is so strong, you guys. Even gods struggle against this thirsty boy.
+Adaptus?! COME AGAIN?
+skdgjndfjg Megatron interacting with the Scavenger is just so GOOD!
+I know a lot of folks have been waiting for this meeting between Drift and Megatron. It was short but no less sweet. It's also cool to see the Zero Point used again, we haven't seen it since the Shadowplay Arc where Rung was struggling to bridge the gap. And awww! Megatron became a Medic like he always wanted to Q_Q
+”It's a good colour, Sweve”
PFFT XD
+Yuuuup. Really want that Megatron/FU miniseries...
+Again with the Ratchet, Rodimus, Rung, and Tailgate chant. I'm 100% sure The Magnificence has it's own agenda. However, I have no idea whose side it's on.
Tumblr media
Were Grimlock and THUNDERCLASH'S(sighwhataguy) speech bubbles swapped around? THUNDERCLASH seems pretty eager to blow up a planet.
+Right, time for the meat of this issue. If what Adaptus/Pharma says is true then this is possibly the biggest reveal in all of the IDW canon. I'll go over the identities of the other Guiding hand members before moving onto the big boy himself, as I've got quite a bit to talk about there. Oh yes.
I ADORE that Censere was Mortilus. The kind, sombre bot who quietly went about his duty, ensuring that the dead of Cybertron were not forgotten. It's also so refreshing to see the God of Death portrayed in a rather positive light. The only interaction we've had with Mortilus has been through his followers who, if we're perfectly honest, have all been giant edge lords XD I would've loved for them to meet Censere face to face. I bet he would've been horrified by their actions, maybe even invited them into his stronghold for a chat about their life choices. It's so sad that he died the way he did -_-
Tyrest... Gotta admit, not so thrilled about that one. Admittedly, it makes a lot of sense, especially when you start going over some of the details. He lead the research into “spark splicing” and had access to the Matrix, plus he was able to build a portal to one of his fellow gods. I always thought it was odd that his portal, ya know, actually worked because we all thought he was a little nuts. But maybe, just maybe, a little part of him remembered his connection to the Guiding hand. It's also quite tragic to see how the supposed god of wisdom was broken down over the years, his sanity chipped away at to the point of self-harm. Either way, I dunno, I think if we'd seen more of Tyrest after Remain in Light I probably would've liked this reveal a bit more, but it can't be helped since the end is fast approaching.
The Magnificence. The font of all knowledge is also Epistemus... Yeah, I'm fine with that. All good XD
Okay... Primus... right, I double dipped and bought the issue off the IDW app before they recalled the issue, so I've been holding onto this spoiler for a whole week.
[takes deep breath]
RUNG IS PRIMUS!
I'M ACTUALLY LOSING IT!
HOLY SHIT!
My mind is whirling, guys. When I saw that final panel everything clicked into place and it ALL MADE SENSE. The brightest spark, his serial number(reversed it becomes one) his memory problems, his odd habit of being in important points in history(which can't all be linked to Elegant Chaos because Rewind said there were billions of entries), the hotspot on Luna1,his deja-vu upon seeing the Luna 1 portal, no one remembering him. Everything!
I'm just stunned.
Roberts has really earned this reveal. I'm thrilled to bits by it. But now now I'm wondering, since a running theme of MTMTE/LL is the interpretation of myths and legends and how time can alter our perspective of those tales, how much of the creation myth is true. Are Rung, and the other members of the Guiding Hand, actual Gods or just REAAAAAALY ancient Transformers with unusual abilities. Did Rung and Censere really have a punch up? Is Rung truly responsible for the creation of the Cybertronian race?! HOW? Why doesn't he remember anything? How did we go from Warrior God to Nebbish Noodle Arms McCutie? Did he really fuse with Vector sigma? Is he Primus made flesh or a reincarnated spark? I have so many questions about my favourite character being the source of EVERYTHING.
+Love that final panel btw. It's like Rung got bored of everything and decided to have a sit down whilst he figured out how to clean his glasses one-handed. Please, PLEASE, let the first panel of the next issue be him, looking at the stunned faces of his friends, saying “What?”
+It’s such a shame that the comics only have a few issues left, I’d have loved to have seen this storyline expanded upon. Imagine how the Cybertronian race would've reacted to seeing the God for real.
+Oh dear. How are Cyclonus and Drift going to take this? The Knights are fake and the gods walk among you as normal dudes.
+Oh, we still don't know what Rung turns into but it's probably to do with spark creation/storage.
+We also still don't know why Ratchet was fading away a few issues ago.

Fun Sized
Note: This is valve plug and I’m really hoping not to be killed! Ya been warned.
I’ve been chatting with @cili-ai about this and uh, yeah, fun sized Thunders, that’s some hot shit. Enjoy!
Give me mini Thunders!
“Furthermore I highly suggest we have groups of 5 in the hangars at all times, due to the fact that the fire suppression system is constantly activated and we can’t track down who is setting it off.” Minimus continued, gesturing to the graph and photos, the hanger was packed with foam. “I would also like the security cameras to be left alone while we place hidden ones to catch the culprits.”
Megatron nodded. “That’s very thought out, I can look into who would be best to place the cameras and who we should assign to monitoring them.”
“I’ve always checked with Perceptor and Brainstorm to see if they can make a batch of cameras.” Minimus added.
Rodimus nodded along and rubbed his helm. “It’s a good idea, I’m down if you’re down.” He grumbled, the past few cycles have been hard for him, and not just him. His well soon to be Conjux had an emergency operation, and he shouldn’t be bothered by it, and for the most part he wasn’t. Rodimus really missed the comfy big frame to curl up by, he missed listening to Thunderclash’s engine’s rumble under him, or his big servos wrapping around his waist.
He didn’t really mind the change, or well he had yet to see it, Velocity kept giving him updates on Thunderclash’s condition, and what they would be doing next. She explained it to him, and explained it again, and again. So far all Rodimus understood was that Thunderclash’s spark couldn’t support his bigger frame anymore. And the best way to keep Thunderclash online was to transfer his spark and processor to another frame, somehow they could do that? From there Thunderclash’s spark would be nursed back to full health and his true frame would be stored away until he could support it again.
For the past few cycles Rodimus recharged alone, and he hardly caught any recharge, his berth seemed too big and there wasn’t a massive frame to cuddle him at night. Thus, Rodimus hardly caught any recharge and his frame was in knots worrying about his Thunders.
    “Rodimus?”
    “Hm?” He blinked.
Megatron glanced at Minimus and the two shared a look, they nodded. “Rodimus you should get some rest, we can handle it from here.”
He vented and rubbed his optics. “No, no I can get through this.”
“Rodimus, you’re over exerting yourself, you should go to your hab and rest.” Minimus pressed.
He didn’t want to be alone, he really didn’t want to be alone in that hab, and getting overcharged at Swerve’s sounded like someone was going to throw a pickaxe through his helm. He just wanted to curl up next to Thunderclash and rest his helm on Thunderclash’s chassis. “I’m fine. I-”
“Rodimus, why don’t you spend some time with Drift, I’m sure he can get you to relax.” He smiled, optics softening.
That wasn’t a bad idea, and Drift did help ease his anxiety. “Okay, but don’t set my ship on fire.” he huffed and rose to his peds, sending Drift a quick ping asking to spend a few nights at his hab. Hopefully Ratchet wouldn’t hog the berth like last time.
He quickly left the meeting room and made his way to the medbay, spotting Velocity standing out the doors, her back was turned towards him and she held her servos together tightly. “Hey Lotty.”
She jumped. “Oh Rodimus! Ho- Rodimus you need to rest.” She scolded him.
“That’s the plan,” He smiled. “I’m gonna grab a few things from my hab and spend the night at Drift’s, just wanted to check on Thunders.”
“Oh, he’s alright, still recovering, his processor is still figuring out the size difference, I’m telling him to take it slow for now. I would let you see him but he just fell into recharge.” She smiled warmly.
“Ah alright, ping me when he’s up, I’d like to see…” He snorted. “My lil man.” He laughed leaving Velocity on her own as he lazily made his way to his shared hab, making a mental list of what he had to pick up from his hab, the plush dragon that was Thunderclash’s, his favorite board, polish, maybe that one data slug that Thunderclash lent to him (the valve plug one). Rodimus shrugged and keyed in the code to his hab.
He stepped in and froze, the door shut behind him and with a flick of his wrist it locked, his spoiler twitched and Rodimus felt his frame started to wake up.
There was Thunderclash, a very tiny Thunderclash, Rodimus knew that aft anywhere, someone did their homework. His boyfriend was in a miniframe, a little taller than Minimus, his new frame hadn’t been painted yet, so it was brand new. Thunderclash was brand new.
Thunderclash hadn’t noticed him yet, how could he was was currently occupied, his tiny servo clenched down on the tarps, his helm was buried in one of their millions of pillows. His silver aft was hanging up in the air, his legs trembled and his tiny peds curled up. But the best part was that his panels were parted and two digits were buried deep inside of him.
Rodimus reset his optics, energy that he had no idea he had raced through his frame, a devilish smirk spread across his face plates.
Thunderclash moaned, his hips sinking down on his digits. “Roddy.” He whimpered, his swollen valve lips parted as another digit slipped into him. His peds didn’t even make a sound as he knelt down, he felt the heat from Thunderclash’s exposed valve, Rodimus waited and watched as those puffy lips clenched down on Thunderclash’s digits. He licked his lip plates and maneuvered his servo just between Thunderclash’s thighs. Then he softly pressed against the swollen outer node.
Thunderclash moaned, then he stopped and his helm spun around, confusion melted into bliss as his sweet red optics softened at the sight of Rodimus. “C-Captain.” He whimpered, his hips started to wiggled again as he tried to grid down on that digit. He always had this kink, where he loved to tall Rodimus Captain in berth, especially if Rodimus was spiking him, and admittedly it was a turn on.
Lazily Rodimus circled that node, pressing against it and then his digits trailed upwards, stroking the valve lips, he pulled Thunderclash’s digits away. He brought one up to his intake, licking off the lube from Thunderclash’s valve. Thunderclash watched with half closed optics as Rodimus sucked everything clean off and set his servo aside. Now that Thunderclash was watching him, Rodimus decided it was a perfect time to gently massage Thunderclash’s valve, just around his outer node.
“Captain.” He whined and started to hump Rodimus’ servo.
Rodimus purred and rested his helm on his servo, watching the lewd display. “So tiny, fun sized Thunders.” He snorted. “Mind if I find out how new this frame of your’s is?”
Thunderclash moaned and shook his helm. “Please Captain.”
His engine roared and Rodimus ran a digit up and down those wet lips, only to slip it in, but only the very tip. Thunderclash shivered and moaned, charge ran up his frame and tiny blue bolts flickered across his plates. Rodimus slowly slipped his digit in, feeling the heat from Thunderclash’s tiny valve, how his lube would sink between Rodimus’ plates. He pushed his digit in, all the way to his knuckle, then spotted, feeling something, it wasn’t Thunderclash’s ceiling node, or his gestation entrance. This was smooth, and flat and when he pressed against it Thunderclash didn’t react.
Rodimus’ spoiler flapped as he figured it out, Thunderclash’s new frame was still sealed.
It would be easy to break it now, he could flick it and shove his digit tight against Thunderclash’s ceiling node. But the idea of breaking his seal, that was something he wanted to do with his spike. Rodimus hummed and pulled his digit out, hearing Thunderclash cry out and clench down on it. He stared down at the thick lube that covered his digit, then back at Thunderclash’s hips, that now ground down at nothing, begging for his touch again.
Rodimus vented. “Alright, but tell me if it gets to be too much.” He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Thunderclash’s helm. Thunderclash nodded and his wide optics followed Rodimus’ movements. Two digits pressed into those valve lips, Thunderclash shuttered and moaned. “What do we say?”
“Captain, please!” He moaned as the digits pressed in further, stretching his tight little valve, lube started to drip from his lips and pool between his peds.
    “What?”
“Captain, please give me an overload.” He whimpered hips bucked down on those digits.
Rodimus rumbled and took his other servo and held Thunderclash’s hips still. “Good mech, now just enjoy it.” He smirked, rolling his digit around and around, striking brand new nodes and sending charge through Thunderclash’s tiny frame. He was loose now, or somewhat loose, stretched just enough that Rodimus stuck in a third digit and Thunderclash squealed. Rodimus held his aft still and thrusted his digits in and out, forming a pace, meanwhile Thunderclash could only lay there as his valve was stuffed. “Such a good mini, so tight, so wet. Hmm, I wonder what my spike could do to you?”
Thunderclash sobbed, optics flickering as his charge started to build to unsafe levels. Rodimus watched his boy friend, watched his digits slip through those stuffy lips, and plumet deep into Thunderclash’s core, Thunderclash’s peds started to curl up and he started gasping. The only warning signs Rodimus had before Thunderclash overloaded. And he did, Thunderclash sobbed out ‘Captain’ and his frame stilled as Rodimus struck as many nodes as he could. Charge raced up and down his frame and Thunderclash collapsed into a pile.
Rodimus slowly pulled out, hearing a faint pop, and Thunderclash’s whimper. He yanked a rag from his subspace and cleaned up Thunderclash’s oversensitive valve, then his servo. Gently slipping the panel back into place. “Okay?”
    Thunderclash nodded, optics still watering.
Rodimus stood up, his frame cracked and he scooped up Thunderclash, his boy friend whined in his grasp, charge still running over his frame, it shocked Rodimus every now and then. If he wasn’t so tired he would’ve taken this as a chance to see what that new valve could really do, what he could do to Thunderclash’s new frame. Instead he settled to flopping down, pulling Thunderclash up to the pillows and laying his helm down on Thunderclash’s chassis.
“Thank you Captain.” Thunderclash mumbled, his optics starting to dim.
“No problem, my fun sized Thunders.” He smirked and kissed Thunderclash’s intake, just as Drift sent him a ping. He sent one back saying that he was going to recharge in his own hab tonight.
