Zorikal The Broker
Sevlaz blinked quickly as he tried to clear his vision, the noon day sun above Durotar shining bright as it beat down on the red dirt cliffs that rose above Razorwind Canyon. There was a heavy throb in his head emanating from the back of it, groaning softly as he tried not to let the pain combined with the blindness make him throw up. A thick rough three fingered hand would say otherwise as it grabbed him by the chin to look up.
"This 'im?" A voice to match the hand rumbled out in the thick accent of a troll, judging by the bleary color scheme Sev guessed him from back east. Nearby stood another pair of figures, each of a similar color scheme though a much more petite version would stalk forward to fill the space.
"Mr. Sevlaz I would presume," came the luscious voice, though if it had ever had an accent the orc would never know.
There was a cough as the thief would look down again, the sun far brighter than he needed right now. Never the less he could find himself croaking out to the voice with his own gravel and spit. "Water."
There was a snap before he heard the pop of a cork and rough tilt of his head as lukewarm water splashed onto his face and into his open mouth. It was stale and old, but at least it was wet and helped to clear his vision despite the best attempt at dry drowning him. Coughing again he would spit to the side and blink a few more times as he finally found his vision clear enough to really take in his captors.
There were three of them, always the magic number it seemed to the thief as he tried not to feel a prickle of panic at the first of the trio. A mutant for sure judging by the size of the creature, he looked more like a tauren, ogre, and maybe a dash of trouble had decided to eat one another in no particular order. Bald, covered in tattoos, and with a shoulder span the width of a pig farm the level of intimidation the troll put off was no joke when staring into his broad tusked face.
The second tall blue skinned troll seemed your ordinary everyday kind of troll. Red mohawk, tattoos, blue skin with a an emphasis on the wild aesthetics with bones and leather all about him. The part that made Sevlaz pause though was the glazed empty eyes that stared ahead with nothing behind them. Its large hands resting on the earth calmly as it watched nothing and everything, a soft ripple int he air as if close everything around them to just the four of them. As he was intimidated by the mutant, he was concerned about the shaman standing motionless.
At long last though came the only speaker of the three, her lithe and athletic frame sauntering closer to him with the gait of a wild cat. The green eyes that pulled at him like a ball of yarn only helped add to the menace and danger the thief knew he was truly in. She wore clothes unlike her companions, a finery of a different order and her hair as well was not cut in the usual wild manner of her culture. The troll looked refined, comfortable, and confident as she calmly folded her arms beneath her breasts. A head tilt made him feel even more like a doe caught in a snare.
Her voice cut into the dead silence of the world, the cool smile beneath rings of a gold and tusks hard. "You are Sevlaz correct?"
Coughing, Sev would clear his throat as he did his best to maintain eye contact with the woman. "I am."
"Excellent, I would say you are a hard orc to find," she continued as she paced closer to him. "But I'm not one for lying."
"Could have fooled me."
"I think I did," she responded as she finally stopped again a foot or two from him. Far enough to keep him from doing something foolish, but close enough to end him if she so chose. "But I'm not here to wax sematics or play who is the biggest dog in the yard. I'm here on business."
The old thief found that odd, but also unsurprising. As much as he was not expecting to be kidnapped into the desert, meeting up with this woman had been his overall plan to begin with upon arriving in Orgrimmar. Granted, being executed in the sand was not part of the 'business' he expected. "I'm guessing you heard I was looking for some."
"I assure you, I hear a lot of things. My name is Zorikal, and I'm a broker here in the city."
"The city or the Drag?"
The cool smile, grew steelier on Zorikal's face. "The Drag isn't as dirty of a word as you'd want it to be. But you're getting us off the true point of our meeting, sir."
Sev would give a flex of his shoulders and forearms, the soft creak of ropes that held him fast. "I guess I'm all ears."
Zorikal gave a soft chuckle at his turn of phrase. "How serendipitous of you. I understand you have an affinity to them in a certain manner, which leads me to the big question."
"When were you last in Silvermoon?"
A sinking feeling deepened as Sevlaz watched the 'tiger' begin to sink her claws in.
