“Fans” of Minecraft will look at the Pale Gardens and go “what’s the point besides a new wood type? Where’s the loot?”
And I’m over here going: “omg… garden implies cultivation. Those creaking hearts weren’t natural. Why was this “garden” created? Who designed the creaking? Were they used for protection? What were they protecting? Were they a failed precursor to the iron golem? Why is the wood so desaturated and lifeless? Do the creaking hearts suck the life out of the forests? Is that why no mobs spawn there? Why does the heart only wake up at night? How come the creaking has 3 eyes? If it’s protecting something why does it only attack when you look away? If you try to grow a pale oak tree does it have a chance of spawning a heart? Who cultivated the hearts? What energy source was used? Is this a “lost souls of the unknown” type of forest? Holy heck the lore implications are quite staggering!

spruce has got to be the ugliest wood in minecraft. birch? no other wood has it's colour. yeah the log isn't that easy to use but spruce just looks so gross man
Tumblr media
your ass wants to be dark oak so bad omggg
Tumblr media
LOOK at this. they're so fucking similar. i bet you can't even tell which is which. i might have swapped them. you'll never know.
then lets look at logs...
Tumblr media
this is oak. it's alright, traditional, mediocre colour but it works well with a lot of things.
Tumblr media
THIS IS JUST SLIGHTLY DARKER OAK WOOD!!!! AND THE COLOUR IS WORSE!!!!
you want a darker brown wood for your build?
Tumblr media
DARK OAK!!! IS RIGHT THERE!!!!!! AND THE COLOUR IS SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!
what about jungle wood? acacia? nobody really likes those, right? well unfortunately they've both got unique colours and textures which spruce doesn't have!
ohhh but what about DOORS? surely you like the SPRUCE DOOR, BLUEENGLAND!?
Tumblr media
THIS IS A FUCKING BARREL TEXTURE
you want a door without a see-through texture that uses rough lines?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THESE DO A SIMILAR AETHSTETIC BUT WITH MUCH BETTER DESIGN
spruce SUCKS ASS it's got such early-minecraft energy and in a bad way. like the only thing that compares is the jungle tree & that's entirely because of how non-specific that is. and spruce wood doesn't have that excuse.
spruce is fucking ugly, it's just a darkened, more saturated oak wood, and the places it spawns it is the ONLY tree type that spawns AND you could walk HUNDREDS of blocks in ANY direction and not find ANYTHING
i HATE spawning in snow biomes so much i HATE having a cold spawnpoint because i just know there's gonna be spruce everywhere around me
holy shit i actually ranted about a fucking wood type in minecraft of all things. ohmy god.

Fixing the Creaking
I spent the afternoon coming up with ideas for the creaking and what I would do with it, how I could make it feel more integrated with the game, and how to avoid it becoming Sniffer 2. I love the sniffer's model and it's personality, but it's hard to deny it's the least functional little guy in the game. I typed all of this up to my friends, and now I'm also gonna post it on Tumblr because I'm proud of it :).
Also I say 'Fixing' as if I already know everything about it and it's bad, that's obviously not the case. But I don't like what I've seen so far.
Mob Changes: -Creaking cannot move when in a players FOV, this accounts for F5 cameras. -Creaking move slightly slower than a player's base sprinting speed. -Creaking can move through all Oak, Dark Oak and Pale Oak blocks, including Logs, Wood, Stripped Logs, Stripped Wood, Planks, Double Slabs, Pressure Plates, Doors, Fences and ALL Crafting Tables and ALL Leaves blocks. It treats these blocks like a player uses scaffolding. This excludes Trap Doors, Half Slabs, Stairs, Chests and Barrels. -Creaking that pass through Oak or Dark Oak Logs or Wood change those blocks into their Pale Oak counterpart, and passing through Oak or Dark Oak Leaves blocks changes those blocks to their Pale Oak counterpart as well. -Creaking will not go straight for their target, instead trying to move from tree to tree, preferring to hide behind or inside. However, they will always be trying to decrease the distance between themselves and their target. -Creaking will attempt to hide in 2 block tall Oak wood structures if more than 1 player is within a 32 block vicinity of it, to prevent exploiting it's inabilty to move when observed and to encourage players to hunt for hearts alone. -Creaking are hostile to all mobs that drop 3 or more EXP, and will try to not be seen moving by any of these mobs when within an 8 block vicinity. (Mobs that drop 3 or more exp include almost all hostile mobs and I think villagers). This also means Creakings will not be hostile to players with less than half a level. -Any mob killed by a Creaking drops no items, and no XP. -Players killed by a Creaking drop no XP, although their items still drop. -Mobs cannot be hostile towards Creaking, as they cannot see past it's camouflage. -Creaking attack by being within a 1 block radius of a mob it is hostile towards, and dealing 'Cactus' type damage with a very short cooldown, dealing half a heart per 0.5 seconds, with no knockback. Similar to cacti, this damage is reduced by armour but also damages the armour. -This damage takes place just being within range, and is not changed by the direction the victim is facing. Creaking will damage all entities they can be hostile towards at once. -It's now called Creaking, not The Creaking and DEFINITELY not the creaking. -For all these changes, I am anticipating that Creaking look the way they did in what we saw at Minecraft Live. I don't dig the design personally, but I'm sure I'll come to be ok with it eventually.
Pale Oak Tree Spawning changes -Pale Oak trees spawn at a 5% rate in Dark Oak Forests, and 10% of those have Heart in their foliage. -Pale Oak trees generate with the same structure as Dark Oak trees (2x2 base, large canopy) -The Heart can only spawn in the top two layers of a Pale Oak, and only in the center pillar of the tree (i.e. it can't be a branch)
Pale Oak block changes -Pale Oak Logs, Wood and Creaking Hearts can corrupt Oak and Dark Oak Logs and Wood at a rate similar to Mycelium and Dirt, but must be in contact through one of the six faces of the block to do so. -Similarly, Pale Oak Logs, Wood and Creaking Hearts and Pale Oak Leaves can corrupt Oak and Dark Oak Leaves at twice the rate, although to do so they must be within 4 blocks of a Pale Oak Log/Wood/Heart. This prevents infinite corruption without player input. -There are no Pale Oak Saplings, with the only way to gain more Pale Oak trees is to grow Oak/Dark Oak trees and corrupt them. -Pale Oak Leaves have a chance of dropping Silver Apples, a food item similar to a regular apple but cannot be used in crafting. Gives four food (2 full food icons) and a small amount of XP when consumed. -All blocks crafted with Pale Oak behave the same as other wood objects.
Creaking Heart block changes -The Creaking Heart, as mentioned earlier, spawns in the top two layers of Pale Oaks that were created during world generation. There is currently no renewable way of obtaining them. -A naturally generated Creaking Heart allows for Creaking to spawn within 64 blocks or a 4 chunk square radius of itself. -A naturally generated Creaking Heart reduces spawning of hostile mobs other than Creaking within 64 blocks of itself by 50%. -A player-placed Creaking Heart can still allow for the spawning of Creaking in a 64 block radius, as long as a Pale Oak Log is above and below it (like in the trailer) -A player-placed Creaking Heart will reduce hostile mob spawning to 0% in a 7-8 block radius (7 South and East, 8 North and West, essentially making a 1 Chunk Square) when there are Stripped Pale Oak Logs above and below it. This extends up and down from bedrock to build limit. Mobs are still capable of entering the space. -A player-placed Creaking Heart will be entirely decorative if these conditions are not met. -All effects of Creaking Hearts do not stack with others in the same radius. -As shown in Minecraft Live, a Creaking Heart will act as an anchor for all nearby Creaking. I think if they stray out of range of their Heart, they become vulnerable to all forms of damage, and perhaps are quite fragile.
Pale Garden biome changes -Pale Garden renamed to Pale Grove (cause it's not a fucking garden). -Pale Grove is a microbiome that can generate within Dark Oak Forests, roughly 100 blocks across. -A Pale Grove microbiome is recognizable by having a Pale Oak tree that is 4-5 blocks taller than the regular tree canopy in Dark Oak forests. -All trees that generate in a Pale Grove will be Pale Oaks, and each of these trees has a 20% chance of having a Creaking Heart. -Trees are much more spread out in a Pale Grove, but there is still the same amount of leaves canopy in the microbiome. -Typical farm mobs spawn with increased frequency within the biome. -Hostile mobs still have their normal spawn rate, however are likely to be reduced due to the closeness of the Creaking Hearts. -The sky in Pale Groves is paler, as it is in the Minecraft Live trailer.
Dark Oak Forest biome changes -Woodland Mansions don't spawn here anymore. They can spawn somewhere else, preferably a less flammable biome. -Pale Groves spawn at a frequency of about 1.5 per medium sized Dark Oak Forest. -If a Dark Oak Forest is above a Deep Dark biome, Pale Groves spawn with much greater frequency.
Before we get to the honourable mentions, and if you'll allow me to be a hater, I wanna say that that Minecraft Live was the most corporate one to date. I don't wanna blame the actual speakers but just, the way they were hyping up the most nothing stuff, like how exciting hardcore mode for bedrock will be. And bundles, which haven't changed in functionality since conception, they just took a long time to code. The stuff about villager rescue was... fine. The villager news segments were fine. But I gotta say, it being called 'A Minecraft Movie' and everyone in the Live very corporately saying the full trademarked ass name was soooo painful. Always nice to see Agnes though, she's very pretty and always sounds sunny. ANYWAY.
7. Additional changes that I think would be fun but wouldn't really fit with the game -Surrounding a Creaking Heart on all sides with Pale Oak logs enables the low render distance fog in an area around it. -If a Creaking kills a player with a LOT of XP (30+ levels), the Creaking will grow into a Pale Oak tree with a Creaking Heart. -Creakings can use a 2 block tall structure of oak wood blocks as a warp point, allowing it to teleport to another 2 block tall structure of oak wood blocks. If a Creaking moves fast when not watched, this ability could be on a long cooldown. However, if they move at regular walking pace, this could be an interesting way of allowing them to gain ground very suddenly. -Creaking irreversibly turn into a 2 block tall pillar of Pale Oak Wood when the sun comes up.
Thank you very much if you got through all of this, as I said I'm quite proud. Yay! Wahoo! Thank you so much for to playing my game!

I’ve been working on a mansion style build lately, so I can decorate various room interiors and not worry about building a while new thing every time. It’s going well so far, so here’s some process screencaps from building it. This world has practically all the free add-ons from the minecraft marketplace active, but I mainly used the All The Wool, Tinker’s Construct Lite, Scary Furniture, 15 Year Party Supplies, and More Furniture add-ons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: three screenshots of different stages of building, from above. The spruce and dark oak building is very large, and consists of two levels, each with twelve rooms, centered around a large circular room. The central room is topped with a dome that looks like the night sky. On the front of the building there are two large square rooms and a smaller rectangular room, with a hallway connecting them, and a large glass-covered room built above them. The smaller rectangular room and the hallway have the same night sky ceiling design. /End ID]
And here’s some progress screencaps from the central room! don’t celebrate Christmas, but I like the trees, so I put some in there :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: three screenshots from various points in the room and building process. There are two levels, and a walkway on the second level. The room starts out with a large fireplace in the middle, which has a chimney that fades into he ceiling. Surrounding it is a circular red carpet that branches towards the doors of each room. In the second picture, double staircases have been added. In the third picture green bunting has been added thunder the rails of the walkway, there are brown sofas and tables, stools by the fireplace, and Christmas trees on the end of the room opposite to the entrance. /End ID]

I just found you on yt shorts and I followed. Your art is a big inspiration, and I adore the designs.
Can I ask about your white haired, black horned guy? What are they about :0
Hiya and thanks so much for finding me over here as well! The character in question is Keeva, a birch obsessed tiefling with a hard shell and arrogant personality who is having a hard time trying to find acceptance in their life. They started as a joke character between my friend @bunnyomega
and I in minecraft in a 7+ year long war of the opposing tree cults--The Mega-Tree vs the Nega-Tree which were Oak and birch respectively. Over time, Keeva gained their own personality and story, so now a lot of their setting is filled with Minecraft/D&D like elements! Without going into too much detail, the versions of Keeva seen in that particular YT short was between a younger Keeva who was just starting to get the hang of socializing and was being indoctrinated into their cult vs a Keeva 20 years from now who was excommunicated. I haven't gotten everything written out yet but I have little snippets here and there on my toyhou.se of them and other characters involved with that universe! I'm hoping to express more of their story and relationships through my future youtube uploads and art here ^^

I started playing minecraft a few months ago (ostensibly so I could then teach my 8yo and 6yo, but I got sucked in). At first it was all “learn how to survive and mine shit!” Then it was “find a village!”
I found the village. I built a house. Well, a condominium. Fenced off a little farmlet. Dug a mine. Went exploring, leaving the village behind me.
Eventually I come back to the village and I don’t know much about their usefulness but I hang around. I begin to realise something: villagers are idiots. They routinely get themselves killed because they can’t just go to bed and stay there at night. I put a lantern in my house and a farmer stood on my crafting block, next to the lantern, for WEEKS until I realised it was like a bloody moth to a flame.
Then they bring in the cherry blossom trees. Suddenly I’m inspired. I plant one in the middle of town. I build a small house for a child villager. I fence off the entire village for security - keep village idiots in, monsters out. Plant birch and oak in and around the town, plus more blossom up on the hills. Next I’m designing a range of houses - multi-bed dorms, cutesy huts.
Now I’m overrun with villagers. I’ve got most professions accounted for. Building houses for all the new spawns is almost a full time job. Shepherding them back if they manage to get over the boundary fence. Trading. Keeping them out of my crops.
What has my life become…

Chaotic Minecraft mobs LETS GOOOOOOO
Heck yea! They were so much fun to design!
I still need to make the Creeper and Blaze a bit more unique (making the Blaze have a "hairstyle" with their rods as well as give a unique marking to the Creeper's face/bark), since the Enderman has been unique-ified by having their arm gone.
Enderman is named Yami (with a nickname Yamimi thanks to Miku), so now just need to think of names for the Creeper and Blaze!
I'm gonna go for a like... rustic vibe for the Creeper I think? I don't know why I'm thinking of some kind of western cowboy name for them. Either that or some scientific name related to oak trees (or even calling them Acorn or something lol).
For the Blaze I have no idea. Kinda tempted to mash a bunch of fire related names together for them, name them Soot, or something like that. I don't have much direction with the Blaze when it comes to names (but personality I have a pretty good idea so far).
Also probably best to say, these are given names to the mobs, they have their own like mob names that are probably difficult to pronounce in a human language.
I think this is actually something that is true for almost all of the glitches, curses, vocaloids, mobs, etc. Do I know these true names? No. Will I make some up at some point. Probably?
Anyway, glad you like my chaotic mobs! I had fun making them! Definitely gonna have to do the rest (or at the very least the major bosses as well as the Warden).

A review of every Minecraft wood type but obfuscated through 100 layers of Google Translate
Food always wins. But I don't like this situation. I'm still learning how to use it. However, this paper is amazing. The book is different.
Now I don't want a pine tree right away, I want a wall right away. I use it when I want neutral color. But no, because I like black and cool. So I don't use this method. But it is easy because it can be done with toys. You are a strong person.
But lately I've been using it a lot. There is no need to choose colors other than walnut and black. These doors are perfect for old glass doors in old homes. But I want something else. (One side of the barrel is black) (false) because the door is closed. Black always suits me, so I chose the birch box.
Forest: The forest is beautiful. I love music, but it's hard to do it alone. Use mechanical doors instead of wooden doors.
Glue: I don't use glue. Question: How did you sleep? I like the neck and collar design and the orange color. The door is like a wooden wall. Overall I like it, but I don't know where to get it.
Black Oak: My favorite vegetable. There are many types of plants, but they are easy to maintain. Although it is a very dark wood, it is still very soft. I like the use of dark oak walls and diorite ceiling. Ideally, the interior door should have a shelf that can be used as a closet.
Dragon: Red is hard to use. Mangosteen does not mix well with other plants, but it can be planted with oaks, pines and other plants. I mainly use it to sleep. This is especially true when money is no object. The design of the door is very beautiful and comes in different colors. It looks like a square, but it reflects the color of the wall.
Shirley: Yes, it also goes well with dark colors like strawberry cream and chocolate. Suitable for floors and walls, especially triangular walls. There are many types of wood and beautiful shapes, such as doors.
Bamboo: I don't know which is better, but I think wood is the best choice. There are many trees. Sometimes I don't find the color yellow too bright. I think anything can go on a plate, especially a plate.
The dark purple is nice, but it's hard to use without it (I had the same problem with Netrek). The floor/head will be painted and run. When I got to Netherwood there were two houses, one red brick and one green brick. The door is thicker, but has a different color. But I like to cut my cups into egg shapes.
He's a stray dog, but I think he's cute. I looked at the ceiling, but there was nothing in the room. Although they look like two doors, they have different functions.

Ok so I can’t get the idea of a Wayne family Minecraft server out of my head.
Here are some things that have definitely happened on said server.
It is a modded survival server.
Bruce has a manor and a cave (of course) full of red stone shit he had Barb help him with (of course).
Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian are in a grief war. Stephanie has immunity because we share a house and god help the man, woman, or child who griefs the house of Cassandra Cain Wayne.
Dick accidentally misplaced a block in the house once and Cass burned his treehouse down.
Dick’s new house is another more elaborate tree house.
Barbara’s is a massive cobblestone structure with no aesthetic value that has every farm in Minecraft and items she got through duplication glitches.
Jason’s is a manor designed after one of the Pride and Prejudice film adaptations.
Tim’s is an underground complex made of smooth stone.
Damian’s is a literal animal farm. (Jason builds a hammer and sickle somewhere near his home whenever he logs off)
Cass, Steph, and I share a massive floating island made of stone bricks, spruce, and occasionally dark oak.

he doesnt understand this game, he's completely new to the whole realm of gaming and just doesn't understand the point
it took a lot or convincing, but he was finally convinced by your puppy dog eyes to play
he's confused how to walk and run in the game so you have to teach him. Hence, him walking away from a creeper and you two screaming in fear
hes the type to complain how the game is super unrealistic. "How is it possible we can punch trees to collect wood? And why are the spiders so huge?" soooo many questions
okay but once he knows the basics of the game, he'll definitely make a cute house for you two while you're the one mining and stuff
ok maybe cute is overdoing it, its just a dirt hut.
makes sure to put two beds besides each other for the two of you
his houses won't look too good as he was just a beginner but its a start. he'll often look up recipes online on how to make this and that, and eventually, he'll be an even better builder than you!
but of course, he is a working adult in real life so he won't come online to play with you too often
but whenever you two do play, it's always fun! you always find something new and have a new objective, more challenging each time
overall, he is not the best player but one of the most fun ones to play with
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is the miner of the server, and has full enchanted netherite armour on, super intimidating lmao
he'd carry you for everything, bedwars and all
hes not the type to go building a really fancy house. maybe a decent looking one but he wouldn't pay too much attention on it as he would rather farm and mine more
that being said.... his houses.... are such a minimum effort. it has no roof at all, no exterior design, just a giant block of oak.
so you two decided to have a mutual agreement. you build him a nice home, he gives you diamonds.
he loves you so much that even if you make him an ugly poorly built house, he'll give you diamonds more than you'll ever need
so conclusion, kazuha is the best person to rely on ^^

My Villager and Illager Headcanons
VILLAGERS
Villagers and Illagers are biologically the same species, the Illager’s different appearance is more-so based off of their different lifestyle and location. Due to there being little sunlight able to shine through the dense Dark Oak trees overhead, illagers who live in the mansion(s) are typically paler as most of their time is spent in or around the territory the mansion is situated. *
(*This is disregarding the appearance of Pillagers, who are more out and about than the rest of their brethren. While in game they are grey like the other illagers, in my personal headcanon they look slightly more healthy and are less of a sickly pale, so they would look slightly more like Villagers except with the parted eyebrows and arms)
The average height and build of Villagers is dependent on where they are, but typically they have a similar growth scale to humans ranging from 4’11-5’11. They have slightly less muscle mass than humans, and their scalps are more resistant to sunburn.
Young villagers may have a small amount of hair on their head, but otherwise villagers are primarily bald. Villagers do have facial hair, but it is of a different nature to human facial hair. It is more ‘whisker-y’ and coarse. This can depend on regional populations however. It typically grows in patches of stubble on the sides of their faces, and it is not at all common to see mustaches or thick bears on villagers.
As I mentioned in a previous post, Villagers have a very keen sense of smell, with an enlarged olfactory receptor comparable to canines. One of the key physical traits someone may first notice in a villager is their large, proboscis-like nose. Within these noses is an enlarged sinus cavity that allows villagers to communicate in their unique native language comprised of ‘honking’. (They are also capable of speaking standard galactic alphabet, which is the language spoken by humans aka players, however it is not primarily spoken, many instead opting for a combination of the two)
Large noses are considered an attractive trait in villager society, as it means the individual is healthy.
Like humans, villagers are slow, clumsy and weak compared to other creatures. They rely on technology and complex social structures for survival. Villages will typically consist of up to 30-40 individuals, with up to 7 iron golems guarding them. There are also often colonies of cats, that help keep vermin away and make great companionship for villagers. Unlike humans and illagers, however, villagers are far more pacifistic and rarely make use of weapons outside of slaughtering livestock for food. They are strictly against killing or physical cruelty if it is not necessary and it is considered a polite and trustworthy gesture to keep your hands together within the sleeves of your robe if they are not in use.
While dependent on the biome, typically villagers adopt a Mediterranean diet, consisting of mostly fruits, vegetables, nuts, carbohydrates and a small amount of meat and fish. In the spring and summer they will plant and harvest crops, storing a certain designated amount of them to stock up for the cold and barren autumn and winter months. During the winter, they will eat a higher amount of meat, fish, potatoes and processed carbohydrates such as bread made from stocked up wheat, of which they also use to feed their animals. Villagers seldom hunt, due to the looming threat of illagers, predatory animals (such as apex predators like spiders and wolves) and the undead outside of the safety of their village’s territory, and instead tend to livestock.
Like most creatures in Minecraft, villagers are genderless and are all unisex. Pronouns and expression are all entirely cosmetic. Children are referred to in neutral terms in villager language, and adults occasionally may decide to go by a certain set of pronouns or terms (and express themselves how they see fit, given it is within the allowances of their culture and practices such as concealed arms, robes, etc).
ILLAGERS
Illagers are not as widespread and common as Villagers, but they are superior with their technology. Most illagers (specifically, Vindicators) are devoted members of the Brotherhood of the Woodland Mansion, of which they follow the magically inclined Evokers, who are the high priests. Evokers are in a way mad scientists as well as warlocks - they have abandoned morals in favor of power and will often order their Vindicator disciples to abduct villagers for experimentation or ritualistic execution.
Pillagers are a less devoted sector of the Brotherhood, they are more fixated on ideas of revenge and prejudice than the actual beliefs of the brotherhood. While they still view the Evokers as beings of authority, they prefer to do their own thing and simply like an excuse to hurt and frighten the villagers who banished them long ago.
Vindicators are far more devoted and many higher up vindicators in the mansions view the evokers as almost paternal figures. They refer to one another as ‘Brother’ (this is used as like a gender neutral term, they have their own term for it in illager/villager language but that’s the rough translation in Standard Galactic/player-speak) and refer to the Evokers as father’ or ‘elder’.
Ravagers are half-golem half-living abominations. They are constructed from using villager (or traitorous illager) biological matter and combined with dark magic, that is used to power a golem ‘shell’. They are highly aggressive to anything other than their illager masters and have poor eyesight, relying on smell primarily to sense the world around them. They will become aggravated at sudden movement or sound and will become frenzied and violent at the scent of blood.
(I mentioned this in that other post but I’m mentioning it here too for the sake of convenience) ‘Bad Omen’ is the scent of illager blood on you. Pillagers, with their keen sense of smell, will be able to recognize the blood of one of their fallen brothers, and will try to track you down to eliminate the threat and avenge their dead brethren.
Pillagers typically have a more carnivorous diet, living off of the land their outposts have been set up on which means hunting game such as rabbits, wild sheep, cows, and other animals, and fish. They also drink a lot of ale, despite not reacting well to it and getting drunk very easily. There have been many cases where a drunk pillager will get a little too handy with a crossbow and accidentally shoot another pillager.
Vex are repurposed souls/demons used for combat by the Evokers. Their sole purpose is to attack and kill, and they will swarm a target like a cloud of angry wasps.
Evokers themselves are typically older (not always, they can be anointed Evoker from birth, but often they grew up as Villagers or are promoted from Vindicator) and physically weaker than their burly Vindicator and Pillager disciples. The dark magic they use often drains them physically, and they rely entirely on it (and their followers) for protection. Without the magic or an angry Vindicator rushing to defend his leader, Evokers are just feeble old men.

Hey skeppy what do you think deadwood looks like
wow hi jack what an unexpected question ^_^
i think like the most universal way i could describe it is like . minecraft darkoak forest. the woods around the town are incredibly dense and the leaves are dark and dont let much light in. i dont know tree names but theyre definitely all evergreen which i know is ironic bc haha the trees in deadwood are alive all year but they Look dead. they look imposing and unwelcoming. probably a mix of pine trees and more oak-y ones seriously what the fuck are tree names. definitely tall as fuck too like these things have been here for a Long Time
the town itself is very small and a lot more.. rustic? theyve got one "main" street with a couple shops and the town church at the end. theyd have a primary school too but its just operated out of a refurbished house. i think its somewhat amusing to give this town the sort of "place out of time" air considering its on a different fucking planet after earth blew up like they designed it this way on Purpose. because everyone looked at it and said Fuck this place sucks. yeah lots of wooden houses as well as the flats above the stores in the main street. the graveyard is Mega fucking protected theres a massive gate and spikes on the walls but its something people try not to comment on
