Dodd is quiet, because my father pays him. Still, these sessions feel like the best place to be honest. So, I continue.

No, I don’t think I’ll do it. The only place I seem to belong is underneath the heel of my fathers shoe.

The heel of my shoe is click, click, clicking against the tiled floor of the parlor. Across from me, Theo is going through the notes Dodd took of our sessions, the treatment he prescribed me. The ones they ignored.

“My gods, Draco.” Theo murmurs as he gently closes the folder and places it down onto his lap. “Your father was a monster."

clickclickclick. “And what am I?” I jerk my chin toward the folder.

Theo shakes his head, running a tired hand over his mouth. “You’re a victim of serious neglect and abuse. I should have this Dodd bloke reported to the board.” He sighs and reopens the folder. “I mean, he knew the right thing to do. He has it written down but he neglected to put you before your fathers wishes.”

Theo sounds upset. It’s been ages since I’ve heard him this upset.

It’s been ages since I’ve seen him. The last time I can remember seeing him was during the war. He was tucked into the corner of my fathers study as our fathers debated over strategies regarding Harry Potter and his cursed fate. I was sketching into an old notebook instead of studying the material on the Wizengamot my father had given me.

Theo Nott’s bright green eyes are studying me. The way I chew on my thumbnail. The way my foot keeps clickclickclicking to the rhythm of my racing heartbeat. I can’t sit still. It’s one of those days, where all of my energy is too much for this body. It’s itching for a way out and I have nothing to give it.

“You often experience something called Hypomania.” Theo says, with a sigh. “I think,” his lips twitch into a frown. “With the way your father abused you, the abuse of this potion...it’s often triggered attacks of anxiety and even episodes full blown mania.”

My eyebrows lift, my heels clickclickclick away, but I say nothing.

“I’d like to meet with you, regularly, Draco.” Theo glances down at my file. “Whatever you keep inside needs to come out. It will help and I think we can come up with a combination of potions that will also help calm the fluctuations from high to low.”

“You don’t have anything right now?”

Theo’s eyes widen. “No, I don’t think that would be safe. I need to research this Persona Supressus to ensure that whatever I do prescribe you won’t cause any harmful contraindications. Are you still taking your liver replenishing antidote?”

I struggle to recall the last time I took it. I think it was the night before I saw Granger. “Not regularly.”

With a shake of his head, he writes down a note onto a little post it, magically securing it onto my folder. The folder full of shame and dark secrets.

“I’m going to talk to Mitsy, have her report to me that you are taking them daily.” He sighs. “I also would like to do a full medical screening before I prescribe anything else to you.”

“Fine.”

“Draco, I’m really glad you reached out to me. After what you have been through...” He shakes his head, unable to finish.

“What, exactly, is wrong with me, then?”

“At first glance? A mood disorder. Muggles call it bipolar II disorder. But, it could just be Cyclothymia. I can't be sure, yet. But, either of those would explain your days of heightened energy, moments of an inflated self image. It also explains the moments of self loathing. That feeling of not belonging —”

“Can I be loved? Being this way...does it make me impossible to loved?” I cut him off and Theo’s eyes widen before they glass over.

He clears his throat, lowering his head. He takes several moments before he lifts his gaze back up to me and swallows back unshed tears. “No, Draco. It does not make you unlovable. Not if you don’t want it to be.”

Draco Malfoy was never one to back down from a challenge. But as he sat there in the cozy living room of Malfoy Manor, staring at the little white stick in his hand, he realized this was a challenge of a completely different kind. The positive sign staring back at him filled his heart with a mix of fear and excitement. You were pregnant.

He glanced over at you, sitting nervously beside him, eyes wide with anticipation. You looked at him, your hands trembling a bit. “Draco?” you whispered, almost scared of what he might say.

But Draco didn’t say anything at first. He just reached out and pulled you into a tight hug, burying his face in your hair. “We’re going to be parents,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “I can’t believe it.”

You relaxed into his embrace, relief washing over you. “Are you… happy?”

“Happy?” Draco pulled back just enough to look into your eyes, his grey eyes shining. “I’m beyond happy. I love you so much, and I’m going to love our baby just as much.”

There was a moment of silence as you both soaked in the reality of it all. But soon enough, another thought crossed Draco’s mind. “My parents… I need to tell them.”

Your breath caught at the thought. You knew that Draco��s parents, especially Narcissa, could be a bit… intimidating. And Lucius, well, he was a whole other story. You had no idea how they’d react to the news.

“Do you think they’ll be mad?” you asked softly.Draco shook his head firmly. “No. They love you. They’ll be surprised, sure, but they won’t be mad.”

And so, later that evening, Draco called for a family meeting. You both sat in the grand drawing room, waiting for his parents to arrive. When they did, Narcissa immediately noticed the nervous energy in the room. “Draco, darling, what’s going on?” she asked, her voice full of concern.

Draco stood, taking your hand in his as he faced his parents. “Mother, Father… we have some news.”

Narcissa and Lucius exchanged a look, before turning back to you both. “What is it, Draco?” Lucius asked, his tone calm but curious.

Draco took a deep breath. “Y/N is pregnant. We’re going to have a baby.”

For a moment, the room was completely silent. You couldn’t even hear Narcissa breathe. But then, something incredible happened. Narcissa’s face broke into a smile—a real, genuine smile. “A baby?” she repeated, her voice filled with awe.

Lucius, too, was stunned, but the expression on his face was not one of anger. It was of realization—his son was going to be a father. Slowly, he nodded, a small, approving smile tugging at his lips. “A grandchild,” he said softly, almost to himself.

Narcissa crossed the room in an instant, pulling you into a warm hug. “Oh, (Y/N), that’s wonderful news! How are you feeling? Have you been eating well? You mustn’t strain yourself.”

You blinked in surprise at the overwhelming concern in her voice, but you couldn’t help but smile as you hugged her back. “I’m okay, Narcissa. Really.”

Lucius joined his wife, placing a hand on Draco’s shoulder. “You’ll be a fine father, Draco,” he said, his voice low but sincere.

Draco, who had been bracing himself for a different reaction entirely, was suddenly filled with pride. “Thank you, Father.”

The next few months were a whirlwind of excitement. Narcissa was constantly checking in on you, making sure you had everything you needed. She even went as far as to hire the best healers to look after you, much to your surprise and appreciation.

Lucius, though a bit more reserved, made sure the Manor was equipped for the arrival of the newest Malfoy. He even found himself browsing through baby books in his study, something that made Draco chuckle whenever he caught him.

As for Draco, he was nothing short of perfect. He was always by your side, making sure you were comfortable, bringing you your favorite foods, and talking to your growing belly every night. He couldn’t wait to meet the little one who was already the center of his world.

One night, as you lay in bed, Draco’s hand resting on your bump, you felt the baby kick for the first time. You gasped, grabbing Draco’s hand. “Did you feel that?” you asked, your voice filled with wonder.

Draco’s eyes widened in awe as he felt the tiny movement. “I did,” he whispered, his voice filled with pure joy. “Our baby…”

Tears welled up in your eyes as you looked at him. “We’re going to be okay, aren’t we, Draco?”

He leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. “More than okay. We’re going to be amazing.”

No one has set eyes on Draco Malfoy since Narcissa died and Draco wants to keep it that way. After losing his mother he had ran for the hills, not feeling the connection he once did to the wizarding world he had once adored, instead feeling all of its hatred and loathing for him. So he ran. He’s living in a muggle city far from Wiltshire and hasn’t cast a single spell in well over a year. No one has said a nasty word to him about his past or his family name and he has learned more about the world in the last year and a half than he has in his whole life. He is the happiest he’s felt in years and he feels free. He’s gained the ability to be whoever he wants. The name Draco Malfoy means nothing where he is and it’s his blessing.

Back in the wizarding world, nobody is missing him. His disappearance was hardly talked about and it’s almost like he was never there to begin with.

And it’s driving Harry insane.

Everything had changed since the war ended and everybody is either tiptoeing around him or falling at his feet; it’s incredibly overwhelming and it makes Harry feel like he’s going to explode. He craves the way it used to be so badly, when people liked him,sure, but didn’t see him as their saviour. The only person who was ever there to humble him all those years has vanished and become untraceable. He’s tried mind healers, potions, getting out and about and spending time with Hermione and Ron but nothing seems to work, it’s all too different now. He needs something old. He’s convinced what he needs is to find Draco Malfoy.

He asked around for weeks before he considered giving up. No one seemed to have even the slightest idea about where Malfoy could be and a lot of them didn’t really want him found in the first place, still harbouring their unwarranted resentment. It was only when he had been wandering aimlessly, looking for any reason not to go home to the emptiness of Grimmauld Place, that he saw it. All long blond hair and pointy features, sat in the window of a muggle coffee shop, a genuine smile spread wide across his face like Harry had never seen come from that boy before. He had opened the door and walked inside but Malfoy hadn’t seemed to notice him. He panicked at the last moment, deciding not to bother Malfoy after all. What was he thinking, what would he even say? Harry went to turn on his heel when Malfoy looked up and caught sight of him, smile faltering for a long moment. He looked like he’d seen a ghost; a real deer in headlights look to him before his features cooled and his eyebrow raised, collecting himself the way his teenage self would have done all those years ago, followed by that mocking tone Harry knew so well and had been craving so badly.

“Potter. I had a feeling if anybody would find me it would be you.” Malfoy didn’t run and Harry didn’t leave.

And just like that Harry Potter had found himself rapidly obsessed with Draco Malfoy once again.

In an attempt to fix things, he’s made it his colleague on Level Nine, Draco Malfoy’s problem too. Featuring a ski chalet in Switzerland, a pair of bunk beds, and an agreement that should’ve been simple, were it not for all the bloody feelings getting in the way.

I've made it this far into the list without mentioning that elaine writes the. hottest. sex. ever. see: how i raved about this fic when it was still anon.

oh DO i!!

scorpius gets a huge glow-up after hogwarts sometime around his mid twenties and everyone is shocked by it except albus (who always thought scorpius was drop dead gorgeous) and draco (who knew astoria’s model genes would kick in sooner or later)

i think most of nextgen would do better than their parents and not marry as mind bogglingly early as them. all except scorbus, who would probs marry each other at 19 or some ridiculous bs.

would have the weddings to end all weddings too. theres no “small intimate gathering” absolutely not, not with DRACO MALFOY being the grooms father 💀💀 its more fancy than the royals i swear its making headlines.

also albus would take on the malfoy name in my opinion. no hyphenation, just full integration

scorpius will be over at the potters house every second week just to suck up to all of them and win the favour of everyone especially ginny (because ginny is the alpha of the household). hes of the opinion that he cant ask albus to marry him unless everyone accepts him (they all do but scorpius doesn’t believe it for at least eight months).

he also tries to win rose’s favour but she pretends to not gaf just to fw him.

i always go back and forth between their careers, im never set on one. for scorpius i predominantly like the idea of him being a healer and going through the wizard-equivalent of med school because it just feels like something he would needlessly put himself through. i also like him doing a career he’s passionate about, like something to do with history, or working in a really obscure department of the ministry.

i fluctuate with albus’ career the MOST. i can see him working a desk job and hating it and being that guy whos disassociating staring at the clock on the wall waiting for his shift/workday to be over do he can go home and love all over his husband. i also see him quitting it all to go full house-husband/stay-at-home dad when he gets sick of it. but i think he’d like having a muggle career better than a wizard one.

albus does ALL the cooking. scorpius is BANNED from touching the kitchen because he burns everything (poor thing tries his best)

the only reason they didn’t move out immediately after graduating was because scorpius was scared to leave draco alone in the manor. so draco pretended to be sick of albus basically staying over at the manor every night to push scorpius to do what he wanted

i think scorpius and albus would move into a young-adultish flat/apartment when they first move in together, even though they can def afford a proper home 😭😭

they still literally follow each other everywhere. deadass cannot separate them.

ginny goes on solo holidays with the boys 😭😭💀💀💀

scorpius is an early waker and albus will sleep until 3pm if not roused. albus keeps wanting to wake up early to make scorpius breakfast in bed but alas hes not built for it…..

albus has to teach scorpius how to not be so ostentatious when buying things for their home or nursery or whatever. that boy has no idea how to save his money 💀

always go to family functions in matching accessories like ties or watches or socks or jewellery or SOMETHING. they just have to outdo all the other couples there smh.

albus would be more passionate about following the tradition of naming their kids after stars/constellations than scorpius would be.

albus is very wifey material like he gives scorp the best massages after work, runs him hot baths, cooks and cleans, handles financials, spoils scorpius by buying him lots of things he likes (tbf scorpius is very easy to please), listens to his rants, so whenever scorpius feels hes not doing enough he’ll panic and buy out an entire cinema for a date night or something similarly corny 💀
