here’s a friendly and gentle reminder that:

that scar on asher’s abdomen will never heal over. the gash left by the shade was so deep and merciless, the damaged nerves trapped beneath the mangled tissue still deliver sharp, stabbing sensations from time to time. on the outside, asher will just wince, but his mind relives the event from start to finish in milliseconds.

milo’s motion sickness is worse. that is, if he had it to begin with. sweetheart is confident that he didn’t, but their partner refuses to link his churning stomach on long car rides or bumpy roads back to that day he brought down the ward. just thinking back to the moment he was conscious and trying to gasp for air makes him…it makes him sick.
