I’d love to be part of the whole drawing miku trend, I really would. But I’m scared. I’m scared to recive death threats for simply drawing the place my family was born in. I, a minor, am scared to read comments of people mocking me and my culture, but turning a blind eye at any art of other countries that have made mistakes. I want a study to be done on Hatsune Miku and the reach she has had on the internet and greater world.

Now we've seen characters- e.g. Gojo- who have taken the internet by storm for reasons like being attractive, funny, charismatic, or a meme. And while arguably, Miku falls into the last category, meme, she is honestly beyond that. She has become more a phenomenon to the point where I know people who know miku but could not tell you what vocaloid is, let alone know that hatsune is a vocaloid. I love miku to death but I fr do not know vocaloid nor like it that much.

She's just iconic, from fanart binders to being a method of sharing your cultures. Miku is love🙂 Miku is life🫡
