Headcanon #17

Leo can mimic voices.

Ever since he was a baby he has been freakishly good at mimicking his brothers and father.

When they were babies, he would copy their voices when they were crying to make them giggle. And when they were having nightmares he would copy Splinters voice humming to them.

He regularly uses it on Donnie when he wont go to sleep, making it sound like Raph is scolding him.

When he and Mikey were pranking April, Raph, and Donnie one Halloween, they waited until night, when they were having a Halloween sleepover.

For phase one (1) of the prank, Mikey made terrifying monster puppets and they moved them around the lair and freak everyone out.

For phase two (2) of the prank, Leo made the most horrifying monster noises EVER, make April, Raph, and Donnie panic and split-up to go looking for Leo and Mikey.

Finally, for phase three (3) of the prank, Leo and Mikey put on handcrafted monster costumes and chased April, Raph, and Donnie around, Leo somehow managed to make double the monster noises, and throw his voice so that it sounded like there were more monsters.

Donnie almost lit Mikey on fire at one point, Leo got a black-eye from Raph, and he still has a scar from were April bit him.

Mikey and Leo ended up being yelled at by all three of them, but it came in useful later when they got capture by some random yokai and they tricked them into thinking there was a monster. Which let them escape.

i could go on for years about how older twin leo matters so much to me when it comes to the twins themselves, because omigosh they’re so precious. but also the particular order it puts them in matters to the whole team as well imo.

like magnetic duo, oldest and second oldest, i feel plays a huge role in the importance and pressure and protectiveness in their relationship. smartsncrafts, youngest and second youngest, plays a huge importance especially in the movie. donnie steps up as the more responsible one there and protects mikey a lot. (i could talk abt that part of b team forever) portal duo, i feel like we don’t see the deeper parts of their dynamic but like. idk i really love them in the particular order they’re already in, leo’s his second biggest brother, mikey’s the baby, but there’s mutual trust and admiration which also creates competitions for the fun of it. brains & brawn is also important because i feel like raph would be putting more pressure on donnie? i don’t think they’d represent leo and raph’s current dynamic too much, but donnie would be expected to be more responsible which would create mild tension at least. that’s not to antagonize raph btw 😭😭🙏‼️ there’s a lot of pressure on raph from all 3 of his brothers combined, so i don’t blame him and i love raph a lot, just i think pre-s2finale, leo steps up when raph is gone for a reason, not just because he’s a natural leader but because hes expected to. this would affect brains&brawn dynamic if leo were younger.
