Firstly I offer in a one to one crossover; Archivist! Dick because I think he's Marked by the most fears (The Stranger and The Vast from the circus, The End and The Slaughter from his parents death, The Eye, The Hunt, and The Dark from being a bat, The Web (because who isn't marked by the Web honestly, The Lonely - see the Dick wants to be free but instead he is loved, Jason wants to be loved but instead he is free post) and it's really fun if you consider

Spiral! Jason. Imagine Michaels dialogue about Gertrude but Translate that to Sheila, and replace Michael and Jon's conversations with Dick and Jason. Is this not the most distressing, comical thing you have ever seen. I'm giggling just thinking about it

I DO agree with Spiral! Steph, and in fact I think she'd take Helen's role because her being Jason's replacement just seems fitting to me

Bruce would be Gertrude, if less Willing to just sacrifice his assistants. Did he do fucked up things in this au in pursuit of saving the world? Almost definitely, but I do think he had a little more nuance and empathy than Gertrude did. Her refusal to succumb to The Eye, being so driven and brutal she could have been a Hunt avatar according to Elias, so Bruce coded. Instead of having weirdly intimate ties with The Desolation his is with The Web (Web! Talia btw if you even care. I'm in love with her)

Cass is Sasha in that she's SUPPOSED to be the next Archivist and she'd be a kickass Eye avatar (already had Eye abilities) but she's been so Othered that she is practically manufactured and instead leans more into Stranger territory, which makes her a weird ass mix of It Knows You and The Unknowing somehow.

Tim definitely has Eye and Web influences, but I peg him more as The Lonely, for he is just a silly little guy who desperately wants a place anywhere he can find it, and also I think he'd really like the ability to just Go Where The People Aren't whenever he wants.

Alfred is Marked by The Slaughter and The End, and probably collects all the fucked up artefacts me thinks, definitely beat the shit out of Jurgen Leitner back in the day, maybe he used to be like Mikeale Salesa but has matured a bit more over the last century or so

Babs I totally agree is The Eye 100%, Marked by The Flesh and The Slaughter, I don't know if there are any one to one character roles she would fit but my best idea would be Basira, they have a lot of the same drive I think (DinahBabs but it's Daisira. Thank you I'll be here all week)

Damian is difficult because he's just a little guy, Flesh influence definitely, The End too, buy I think if I had to pick one I'd say The Desolation. If the Desolation is hurting someone before you can be hurt, feeding the flame so it doesn't feed on you, I think it's a really good representation of his early character. And maybe he pulls a Mike Crew and gets claimed by something else to avoid getting Got by The Desolation (I think either The Eye or The Hunt)

Duke would be Marked by The Spiral (Joker) but he'd be predisposed to The Dark, having said that I think he'd fill both Gerry/Georgie's role as just not being capable of fear, chilling the whole time, EXTREMELY End coded (can't he see ghosts or something) while he does insane shit in the name of helping Bruce solve mysteries

Kate is Melanie King, military = Slaughter, lesbian, beautiful buff woman who would carve her own eyes out before she'd listen to a smug little bitch. I, too would worship her like a prophet.

Ra's is the kind of unhinged, weirdly seductive immortal bastard that fits almost perfectly one to one with Elias it's quite frankly awful.

QUICK WHAT FEARS WOULD THE BATFAM BE. I think all of them are a little bit the eye really, but definitely fit other ones.

Something that stuck with me from Salesas safezone episode for some reason is that Annabelle presumably killed that trespassing corruption avatar.

We dont know how capable every avatar is to kill other avatars, which seems to be a "fear-social-status" kinda based thing in the fearcopalypse, and I feel like this little tidbit is gonna come back to bite us later.

Both Martin and Jon are very, very weary of Annabelle, and theres no way to tell so far what she is planning or whether she is bluffing or not, but since she was seeking out a place that is non-fearcopalypsed and thus hidden from the eye instead of a genuine web domain (aha web design flashbacks), we can assume that shes either very miffed about the situation and that she is planning against the eye in that "safe space", or theres information that is still being withheld, perhaps one of Salesas artifacts that she was after, the camera to strike the eye blindsided or something so far unknown to us etc., even tho that's pretty much fishing in the dark.

I'm starting to be more comfortable with Helen the more uncomfortable shes being made out to be, for some reason.

I feel like whatever Annabelle is planning, itll stop the eyes reign over the world, which probably means a slow deterioration of a death to Jon, if he doesnt get a smiting on Annabelles behalf, considering how both Martin's and Jon's anxiety around her play directly into her hands and probably give her power over them. "Enjoying" the eyepocalypse as Helen does is one of the few ways I see for him to come out of this alive, but of course it's not an option.

Considering Helen's history, as much as her entity does influence her, I dont think shes truly much of a threat anymore. Perhaps I am wrong and shes just playing me.

Second thing that's been playing on my mind was the alternate universes tied to the extinction. Could the powers be forced into them? Absolutely unsure, but who knows.

God I love Jonnys writing. What's gonna happen next? Who's to say!

jon, martin, melanie, and elias are the only characters to physically appear in all five seasons

basira, the character who appears the third most out of any character, has the final line of the series

martin, the second most appearing character in this show, isn't even in over half the episodes (86/200)

georgie had the biggest leap in positions in season 5 -- except for annabelle, who never physically appeared before season 5

martin is only absent in one episode of season 5 -- 195. jon is only absent in two -- 186 and 196, only 10 episodes apart, one of which we hear his voice in

The Tundra did not carry cargo, to do so would, to a large degree, diminish the point. The crates it carries are empty, save for dust and the occasional spiderweb. They had been such for as long as Peter has captained the ship, and would be so as long as he had control of it. Unfortunately for the avatar, the thing that had found its way into the hold cared little for convention, the Crawling Rot rarely payed mind to these things.

The creature had clearly once been a young man, now merely a host for the power he fed, wild-eyed and laced though with festering mold, gripping a shard of glass tight enough to leave a trail of black blood on the floor of the hold. He should have known to leave when he saw it, foolish... But ruminating on the past didn’t change the issue at hand, he could waste time thinking of how he could have avoided the attack, how he could have stopped the makeshift weapon from sinking into his side, but that wouldn’t stem the bleeding, or stop the infection already beginning to make its home in his body.

Peter doesn’t remember leaving his ship, doesn’t remember staggering down one unfamiliar street after another, the deep-set urge to isolate propelling him to wherever his pain-addled mind assumed he would be most alone. He doesn’t remember much at all until he finds himself, somehow, in front of a familiar figure. Glazed eyes make an attempt to meet Mikeale’s, and he gives a poor imitation of his usual beaming smile.

Salesa was careful.  He prided himself of toeing the line when it came to this business, knowing the temperaments of usual buyers and sellers, having the perfect words to get what he needed.  Being 6′7 and built like a brick wall did not hurt matters either; few people wanted to test their mettle.  However, he knew this seller, expected an easy transaction.  Peter was only invited along on a lark - a way of teasing the captain.

What he did not expect was to have his money taken and then being promptly shot. 

For a moment there was no pain.  Then it exploded through his right shoulder, jolting through every nerve.  Even with lack of use in his right arm, he was about to show what he did with backstabbers when it registered that the man was... gone. 

Vision going blurry now that there was no imminent threat, Salesa looked at Peter.  “Didn’t... didn’t see that coming.”  Whether that was about being betrayed or Peter protecting ( what other word was there for what happened? ) him, even he didn’t know.  He clutched his shoulder, warm, slick blood oozing between his fingers. 

“H-help me to the ship, will ya?”
