I’m Gobbo or Bri (pick ya poison), I’m a current student at Savannah College of Art and Design (as for campus I ain’t saying nothing) Im working on my bachelors in Animation and minoring in Creative Writing. My Concentration starting as 2d animation later switching it to Story and Concept in animation (back in 2021). I started in 2019 and it’s… 2024 now. Don’t judge me! Story:

I’m not using Lily’s self review tvtropes to cover this. It’s disingenuous ego stroking at full blast.

We follow the highs and lows that are the “will they won’t they” relationship between the stated as sisters, Lily and her Gardevoir, G (yes that’s her fucking name). In a Sunday newspaper comic page esc structure. With bits and pieces of trivia and lore that rarely comes up if not to push and pull sympathy points for lilys self insert as she gets assaulted and violated in physical and mental ways. An arc being called “Violate” and later following the would be time span for gestation of a baby that would then become the labeled cryptid child.

I’m gonna be real there’s no point in reading it because the moment something big happens out of the blue there wasn’t a page missing to explain it which god fucking dammit Lily do I need to give you one of those brainframe sheets or outline templates if you decide to write a story? Because I’ll gladly provide them!

How do you consider yourself a fucking writer at all with your fundamental lack of care for lore and story like- for fucks sake woman it won’t kill you!

During your next shift, Kamala went to the animal shelter you worked at and picked up several volunteer forms. The young Avenger was excited about bringing herself and her superhero friends to help around your workplace.

It was a week later when she brought back the forms and as you were going through them, you were surprised to see Bucky had signed up. You assumed that Kamala convinced him to volunteer.

Well, here's to hoping this goes how she hopes it does.

After the forms were overlooked, each person who signed up was sent an acceptance email and a date of their orientation. The roster was: Kamala, Kate Bishop, Yelena Belova, America Chavez, Cassie Lang, Scott Lang, Scott's friends Luis, Kurt, and Dave; and lastly, Bucky Barnes.

Eventually, said group arrived Wednesday morning at the front desk. Your coworker, Mikayla, was starstruck. Yes, you told her who would be volunteering there, but that still didn't minimize the feeling of excitement she felt when they arrived.

"Holy shit, this is happening," she stares wide-eyed at the group before her.

You pat her shoulder, "Should I do the orientation?"

Mikayla slowly nods, "Yeah. I think so."

You snort and step forward, "Hi, everyone! I'm Y/N. I help oversee the volunteers that work at the shelter!" you go into your spiel about the shelter, what animals you take care of, some of the tasks everyone is expected to do, etc.

You finish off with asking who'd like to work in what areas of the shelter. Kamala immediately raises her hand, and Bucky's, for when you ask about the cat area. Yelena also volunteers and the three of them follow you to the cat room.

"So we do have a few kittens here that we just received a few days ago, but most of our residents are adult cats."

One particular kitten is crying out, which catches your attention. You turn to its cage and chuckle, "Alright, I hear ya, buddy," you unlock the cage and pull a small white kitten out.

"This is one of our newer residents. His name is Alpine and, don't tell the other cats this, but he's currently my favorite."

The small white cat climbs out of your arms and up your shoulder. Kamala is practically melting at the spot, "Oh my gosh! He's sooo cute!"

You nod, "He is. He was also born with three legs instead of one, but that obviously doesn't stop him. He's a determined little guy."

You look at Bucky, who's softly smiling at the cat. He reaches out and gently pets Alpine behind the ears, "Hey, buddy," he murmurs. He then looks at you, "Can I hold him?"

"Of course," you pluck Al off your shoulder and gently place him in Bucky's arms. Alpine doesn't hesitate to climb up Bucky's shirt.

Bucky winces, "Watch the claws, pal," but he smiles as Al continues to meow.

Yelena snorts, "He likes you, Barnes, probably because he knows you two are alike," she nods at his vibranium arm.

You proceed to inform the three of their duties with the cats, how to clean the cages, how much food to give, the personality of each cat, etc.. Throughout that time, Bucky listened while also stroking Alpine's fur.

While Yelena and Kamala are playing with two other cats, you go up to Bucky, "He really likes you," you gesture to Al who's now asleep in Bucky's arms.

"He's a good one."

"Kamala says your a cat person?"

He shrugs, "I suppose. I like to feed the stray cats I see, pet them if they let me. I like dogs too, but I guess I like cats better because they're more...mellow?"

You snort, "Not all of them are mellow, but I get what you're saying."

Bucky shifts from one foot to the other, "So, uh, is Dot still with you?"

You sigh, twiddling with the sweetheart bracelet on your wrist, "Yeah. She's," you pause to chuckle, "stubborn."

Bucky snorts, "Yeah. She's always been a bit stubborn, even back then when we were together."

"Birds of a feather stay together, I suppose." He raises a brow at you and you explain, "From our short interaction, I can tell you're just as stubborn. You don't want to help me, that's fine, but honestly, this is more about Dot herself. Help me to help her cross over."

"How?"

You run a hand over your face, "Dot says you're unhappy."

"I'm not!" Bucky raises his voice, causing Alpine to stir from his sleep.

You give Bucky a pointed look and open Al's enclosure so he could place him onto his bed. Once he's safely back in, you turn back to Bucky.

"There isn't anything that you think would make you happier?"

Someone to call my own. A peaceful place for me to live. A family. A chance to grow old.

"Not really," Bucky replies.

You scoff, "I call bullshit."

Bucky's jaw clenches, "Listen here, sweetheart, you don't know me. You don't know what I want or need."

"I don't, but Dot does. Bucky, come on. I don't get why you're so apprehensive about this. This benefits Dot and you."

He leans back against a wall, crossing his arms over his chest. He glances at Kamala and Yelena, who stopped playing with the cats to watch you and him.

Bucky grabs your arm and pulls you out of the cat room and into the hallway, "If I agree to this, what would it entail?"

You shrug and scratch your head, "I dunno. I guess it really depends on what you think would make you happier right now."

Bucky doesn't know you. You're a stranger, but he doesn't get any weird vibes from you. You seem like a genuine person, but he could never be too sure. He can't just tell you his deepest desires. Not yet, anyway.

He sighs, "I guess, a companion?"

"Like a pet or a person?"

He shrugs, "Both? I don't know. I mean, I guess a pet would be nice?"

You roll your eyes, "Okay, well, I guess it's a good thing you volunteered to work here for the month. We'll see how you really feel about having a pet and if you think you can really take care of one."

With that you turn your back to him and enter the cat room again. Bucky watches you through the window as you talk with Kamala and Yelena. He's sure they're berating you about what you and he discussed.

Bucky groans and runs a hand through his cropped hair. He then feels a cool sensation on his shoulder, but it's not alarming. Instead, it brings comfort.

"Thanks, Dot," he murmurs before also heading back inside the cat room.

You're not missing out on much by not watching Red One 😅 I watched it tonight because job kicked my ass and I needed something to watch where I could just turn off my brain, ya know? And Red One was exactly that 😅 Is it good? Not really. Is it bad? Yes, but in a good way. It kinda reminded me of those TV movies Nickelodeon and Disney Channel used to make (maybe they still do I don't know), those movies weren't great movies, had okay acting and bad CGI but were fun to watch if you had nothing else to watch on TV. Red One is like that 😅 I feel like it sounds meaner than I mean to be, but like, come on, they know the kind of movie they were making 🙈 and it's exactly that 😆

I can't comment on CE's accent, though, I'm not American, and unless it's really pronounced like some Southern or New York accents, I can't really tell what it is beyond it sounds American 😅

She has little to no vocal training for her voice (Jason Patric already has a sexy voice. Why the hell would I want to alter perfection??). She speaks a bit softer, but since she's a bit more reserved, nobody notices the difference. I once read a post about a trans woman getting compliments from a man for her deeper voice. He found it far more attractive that lighter, babyish voices. That's Mikayla. Also considering it's the 80s and everyone in their mother smokes, she can blend in more since more people have a bit of a rasp to their voices.

Speaking of the 80s! If we're going by period accuracy, then in 1987 she identifies as "transsexual". It isn't until the modern world comes into play where she alters her vocabulary to "transgender".

Loves being girly but fucking HATES sitting like a girl. She cannot believe how uncomfortable it is to sit with her legs crossed and tucked. You can pry the man spread from her cold, dead hands. Lucy constantly scolds her to not sit "frog-legged".

Whenever she needs to work out for gym or cheer practice she puts some Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, or Whitney Houston on her cassette player. She's definitely apart of the 80s aerobics movement. Jane Fonda ain't got nothing on Mikayla.

Her favorite movie is The Goonies because she thinks both Andie and Brand are attractive (totally not putting my own preferences on her or anything 👀💦)

Nearly cried the first time her girl friends offered to head to the restroom with her. She had no idea girls were so close and considerate.

Biggest regret she has is not punching the living hell out of her father before Lucy packed her and Sam up for their move.

Instead of picking up trash on the beach for work like in the movie (because the deleted scene only has them picking men to do the work) she tries out a few shifts at a local seafood restaurant to make some money.....before she keeps oversleeping due to the vampirism she gets later lol

Girlie just had naturally flawless skin. All her cheerleader friends have a ten step routine and Mikayla just shocks them with a simple wash and drugstore moisturizer combo. I think she gets it from Lucy.

never has always seemed to be a pretty good plan for her—or at the very least, the safest option, because she can't get entirely heartbroken if she never lets herself get that far in the first place. there are moments with tai when she fears it might end up happening anyway, because holding herself back isn't as effective if she's developing feelings anyway. real, honest feelings, the kind she's not used to, the kind she's not prepared to deal with when everything inevitably goes completely wrong. mikayla almost wishes she was the type to sought out physical affection, because the panic's grip on her heart only tightens the more she thinks about it, but she won't let herself lean onto sam like that. “i don't know. maybe not never. but probably not until it's too late.” because she can't expect tai to wait forever for her to get her shit together.

mikayla doesn't know how to explain how she has absolutely nothing figured out. more than just a future, she's not even sure what she likes, outside of training and fighting; maybe that had been the whole reason she decided to go to school, attend a normal college instead of the one in new rome, where everything was familiar to her, but so far, she hasn't figured anything out. if anything, she feels more lost than before, because at least before, she wasn't falling for a girl she knows she doesn't deserve. “it would help if you'd ask tara what she says about me,” she grumbles, though she's not entirely serious. it would be easier, of course, but she doesn't expect it, especially since she wouldn't want tai to hear about any of the things she's been saying about her. especially this.

part of her almost wishes, in the middle of talking about danny, that sam might forget that they were talking about mikayla and tai. it would be easier, to just hear about them, an actually successful relationship that doesn't feel doomed to fail, but when it's turned back onto her, she sighs—uncharacteristically for someone who's usually so willing to make the conversation about herself. “yeah, but you two are good together.” she and tai could be, too, if only she'd let them get there, but it's simpler for her to tell herself she's wrong for her, that tai deserves more than someone incapable of ever having a normal life. sam would understand that part, but mikayla can't bring it up. “what we have right now is... working. i don't see any reason to fuck it up.”

it makes sam sad to see her like this, and if they'd been the kind of friends to share any sort of physical affection, she'd pull her into her arms now. she's not sure they're that kind of friends, but she moves closer anyway, hoping that mikayla will lean on her if she needs to turn to someone other than herself. ❝  never? ❞ she asks, her voice soft, because she knows it's complicated and she knows that the likely answer mikayla has is that it really is never. sam has said the same thing to herself before, but she knows she's better off allowing herself what she wants, what she needs --- no matter how hard the journey there may be. their situations aren't the same, but she still hopes she can do something for her.

❝ mikayla--- i'm older than you, and i don't even know what the hell my future is. i never have. even moving here, i . . . i didn't know what i was supposed to do. i just knew i had to be there for tara. ❞ and she remembers what she said to her, how she called her out for not trying to find a life of her own. she took those words to heart, and she's trying to find her purpose now, but it is hard. ❝  my point is, i guess, you don't have to have it figured out yet. and i know that tai may have her shit together -- or, thinks she does, whatever -- but that doesn't mean she'd expect her partner to, too. ❞ and sam doesn't know that for sure, but it's something.

About Krishna and Mikayla

So, in case you're unaware, Krishna and Mikayla are two of my new Gacha ocs. They both are a couple and they are a very serious one, I'd say. So, for fun, I just going to tell you a bit about them. So, here we go! ^^

Krishna:

Krishna Ravana Bhai is usually a quiet guy and an introvert but in reality, he's a pure badass individual as a result of his notably tumultuous past where he used be a rowdy don working for his father, Venkat Bhai, a now-deceased notorious underworld drug kingpin and crime boss. He's Mikayla's boyfriend and he usually is decent towards her, even though they might get in each other's nerves at times. He also used to have a sister, Nikita, who also worked for Venkat but was killed when Venkat tried to sacrifice them both as a result of his belief in occult, which also led to Venkat's death as he would get killed by Krishna as revenge. He would then turn himself in to the authorities for all his crimes and would receive a prison sentence. Months after his sentence was over, he recovered from his past trauma when he first met Mikayla.

Mikayla:

On the other side of the coin, Mikayla Elizabeth Cassidy is a beautiful and kind-hearted girl who usually sees the good in others. She's often considered the most beautiful girl in her town. Although she has a rough past too, with her losing her father at a young age, she still manages to smile through the pain. At times, she has a strong personality similar to Krishna and can fight with substantial strength. She's Krishna's girlfriend and they first met many years ago when Krishna saves her from a group of killers one night. Even though she might be annoying and get in his nerves easily, she's often trying to soften Krishna's heart as a result of seeing him quiet and cold all the time, even though she knows nothing about his past. Although, she does help Krishna reform from what he once was back then.
