I kind of wonder how being trans would work in the Ever After High universe with destinies and all.

Let's say you're the daughter of Snow White, but surprise!! Egg cracked, you're trans. You're actually the SON of Snow White now.

Does this kids destiny change from Snow White to Snow White's destined true love? Or would "Snow White" just be a prince this time around and maybe a princess (or another prince!) saves him with True Loves Kiss???

I mean, we have examples of kids genders not exactly matching up with their fairytale parents like Alistair, Maddie, Melody, Jillian, Cedar, Bunny and I think some others.

I have a theory that in their stories their gender doesn't exactly..say, matter as much as, for example, the Queen of Hearts, her title is literally the queen, if Lizzie was a boy would she just be the King of Hearts (the queens husband)? Or would she be "King" but still have the same role to play as the queen?

When vs a character like Alice, it doesn't really matter as anyone can just fall down a hole and go through a strange land regardless of gender.

How much does your agab really matter in this society? Also say you figured it out after you had already signed your name in the storybook, would you need to sign it again if you chose a new name?

Edit because I had more thoughts: My previously stated theory came from the idea that characters like Alistair, Cedar and essentially the entire crew minus Lizzie, I believe their genders can be different and still inherit their stories is because TECHNICALLY within their stories they don't have love interests, when off book and later in their lives they most likely did to be able to have children. If say Alice did have a boy she fell in love with what if Alistair ended up being that hypothetical boy?

When Snow White DOES have a love interest, and I wonder if that's why it might matter a little more.

Long story short: This society is very heteronormative and probably cis normative as well and goddamnit do I wish we actually had a trans character to go off of.

OR what if a character was from a very #girlboss story and was a trans guy? Can his story even continue because he's not a girl anymore? Or would his story just change to reflect him better.

We have canonical evidence of Hunter and Ashlynn hypothetically changing their story so the same message is still in place, it just fits their particular love story better. So I wonder if the system would have something in place like that for trans characters. (Keep in mind I'm not too sure on how canon the doll diaries are so take that with a grain of salt. It's from Farrah's btw if you're curious)

love that y’all liked the hc’s so i’ll bring some more to the table:

sam sometimes ask castiel to check if his soul is intact; no matter how many times cas assures him it’s there, sam always doubts himself

cas gets phantom pain on his shoulder blades from his wings

when dean has nightmares, he often gets violent with himself or things around him; there’s occasions he’s woken up with deep scratches on his arms or his fingernails stubbed and bloody from abuse to his wall. he tries to hide them when he wakes up.

dean sometimes flinches whenever cas raises an arm to him. he tries to play it off when it happens, but cas will always notice and assure him with a gentle touch afterwards.

when dean was still hosting michael in his head, whenever he’d fall asleep, dean would unintentionally visit him in the bar. michael would taunt him through the door, so often that dean has come to believe some of the stuff he said. he doesn’t tell anyone.

there’s a pillow in the library dedicated to sam for whenever he falls asleep/passes out reading lore books or cataloging

dean will get someone else to hand him painkillers, saying he’s too lazy to get them himself. but it’s really because he doesn’t trust himself.

cas will intentionally seem “dense” just to make dean laugh and does it mostly to fuck with sam.

sam and dean will play mystery puzzle games together to try to do “normal things,” but both of them will just apply hunters lore to it, which makes the game 10x more complicated, and then both give up.

it’s a habit he picked up when he was a kid hunting with john, but dean will still try to hide his injuries no matter how bad they are. it’s gotten him into trouble on multiple occasions.

sam bites his nails when he’s nervous or stressed out.

sam keeps an old jacket that dean gave him once when he was a kid that was way too big for him, even in his teens. it was a ratty thing from the thrift store and dean picked it out for him because he was too cold in the motel their dad set them up in. sam still wears it sometimes. it finally fits now that he’s older.

dean is soft on jack and claire because he sees himself in them, but deep down it’s also to reconcile how he first failed ben. he thinks of him sometimes, and on one occasion has sent him an anonymous birthday card. he believes he’s not father material and wasn’t made for it, no matter how badly he wants it.

dean has turned tricks in order to fend for him and sam when he was young. he’s never told sam.

cas makes rounds in the bunker to make sure both brothers are safely asleep

sam hates needles

dean has spent a lot of his time alone studying spell books to find some way to safely see cas’ true form, or some extension of it. later on, when he finds a way to make it possible, assures rowena with a quick text that he knows what fifth base is now.

sam and cas make an effort to hang out one on one. they go out for coffees sometimes when dean is off on a solo hunt, trade notes on different pieces of history and lore, or they’ll watch lengthy documentaries together.

whenever cas is pissed off he’ll mutter things in enochian

both dean and rowena actually do make an effort to be friends. they both just pretend to be insufferable for the sake of appearances, even though they did initially hate eachother. they’ll occasionally meet up for drinks, and rowena calls it ‘girls night’ despite deans annoyance.

cas gets pissed (and/or jealous) whenever someone touches deans shoulder

sam will sometimes jump on dean on the couch or throw shit at him when he’s relaxing in his room to piss him off, because he’s an annoying little brother. in older sibling fashion, dean will always chase him around the bunker at least once when he gets fed up before inevitably giving up to grab a drink or when cas yells at them for being idiots

dean lets jack, claire, and cas put on their own music in the impala. sam is furious about it when he finds out, but also secretly happy for him knowing how personal that actually is for his brother.

they used to do this when they were little, but sam and dean will still share clothes sometimes, even though they are sometimes too big/small. dean will lend cas his clothes too. it’s more of a comfort thing.

dean buys fidget toys for sam. sam has a collection of fidget spinners in almost every room in the bunker and multiple laying around in the impala for when they have to do stakeouts.

selectively mute dean. there are times where dean will go a few days without talking, usually due to rough nightmares or hunts gone wrong. he’s tired of taking his anger out on people, so he keeps to himself.

cas has robotically perfect handwriting, even when he needs to write something down quickly

dean likes to sing when he’s alone and he’s very good at it, but will purposefully sing off key when anyone comes in. he’ll usually sing whenever he’s cooking or working on baby, using his tools or utensils as a microphone.

I made Odette in 2020 but sadly I don't have access to my very first attempts at gposing! I really wish I had them, early vanilla Odette is an extreme cutie. I had played FFXIV a few times before but the game had never stuck until her. Odette has changed a fair amount since I've had her! Thanks to crimes but also because of lore! I've only fanta'd her once and it was to make her chest smaller and change her eye color.

When I decided to lean into the ghost stuff I changed one of her eyes to purple. As a way to signify her coming into her abilities, so it is also the eye she sees spirits out of.

Her hair has always been white, in canon it has an iridescent sheen to it which is one of the reasons the convent thought her blessed. Early in 2024 Odette had a mini arc of realizing she had strayed from her vows. As part of her renewal of them she cut her very long hair.

She's had scaling from the moment I knew about it. Use to have to apply it in ana with each gpose. I'm certain the first screen has one of my first attempts at scaling her applied. When I finally got C+ I was so excited to see her scaling all the time, plus it makes it so easy to adjust it on the fly. It's the thing I miss most when its gone!

Rue body... body hair... belly piercing...

Her piercings (belly and nose) were small acts of rebellion! And my friend Esh ported a nose chain over for me I think just this year, too!

Her gap teeth !! Precious to me. Thank you Onei ! If I could figure out dimples she'd be even more perfect.

Dawntrail's graphics update left me incredibly happy. I loved Odette before but she feels so much more Right to me, now! She has new makeup, new face scaling, i just like her so much...

I've rewritten her entire backstory, made her undead and a powerful psychopomp, gave her a long-lost twin sister and then turned the twin into a possibly evil ancient and undead great-aunt (whew), made her a paladin, started to think of her as an actual WoL... She's always been a love nun, though.

The Fanciful Fairy Kei Pack released today!!!! This was a pack idea/theme i pitched at the end of last year, which was incredibly exciting for me!! To celebrate it's release, I wanted to share one of my animations I did for the mount, a cutesy crescent moon with some star friends that follow you along :3 it was the only item I personally got to work on for the pack, all other items/art/anims were done by other artists on our team!

In general been trying to be an advocate for more like... Wizard-y gear, as i feel we've strayed away from that style of gear and i MISS IT :(( I also felt Lolita/kawaii j-fashion in general could really fit into the wizard aesthetic... it also helps that I'm a bit of a fan of the fashion style myself hehe :'D also it was a fun work around so boys can now kind of wear pink thru this pack! And also a dress if they so choose!

Anywho. I know this pack was highly anticipated so I really hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did when i was pitching it!!!! :D
