I saw a little flicker and I dared to dream of light it must have been a trick or figment, something wasn't right and nothing has gone quicker from this everlasting night I saw a little flicker and I dared to dream of light it's been permanent midnight since I first picked up the pen was walking in the daylight I have not stood there again stirred by dark hands of madness that have moved me from within to touch the heart of sadness found my own to be its twin it's been permanent midnight since I first picked up the pen am lost to that which burns bright desperate to let them in the lights of hope and healing crave their warmth upon my skin perhaps just to be feeling anything would be a win I saw a little flicker and I dared to dream of light it must have been a trick or figment, something wasn't right and nothing has gone quicker from this everlasting night I saw a little flicker and I dared to dream of light it's been permanent midnight since I first picked up the pen I dream one day that I might stand in the light once again to escape from the madness I have so long been lost in since my own heart has had this dark shadow here as its twin I saw a little flicker and I dared to dream of light it must have been a trick or figment, something wasn't right and nothing has gone quicker from this everlasting night I saw a little flicker and I dared to dream of light it's been permanent midnight since I first picked up the pen (3/1/24)
