Netflix had this international hit with Dark, and Baran Bo Odar & Jante Friese had an exclusive deal to do more projects with Netflix. 1899 was the next project. It was great. 1899 had a lot of potential, but it was cancelled. Not even 2 months after it aired. Recently, Baran Bo and Jantje were working on a project to adapt the comic book "Something Is Killing the Children". It was originally Mike Flanagan's project, but he left because of creative differences. Now, the adaptation seems to be stuck in development hell. I just don't understand what happened...

I actually think that it was an accident. I think Lottie's death could be similar to what happened to Travis. He accidentally ended his life while trying to summon the wilderness. What he said to Lottie: "The only way to confront the darkness is to get as close to death as possible. When Van almost died, when you did. You both said you saw something".

I hope that Lottie saw Laura Lee in her death dream, but I think it would be interesting if she also saw Travis. I think Lottie being with Travis in his last moments would be an interesting thing to revisit in some way. It would be like when Nat saw Javi. It would also make sense if she saw teen Nat imo.
