One thing I really appreciate about Jonas' character is just how openly he cries. It's not unusual to get male characters who are depressed and hopeless, but they usually express this through anger or stone faced and dry-eyed cynicism, or only ever cry in certain crucial moments. When you do see a male character who cries constantly, they are usually seen as weak or the butt of the joke. I don't remember ever seeing a male character who cries as openly as Jonas while also being treated seriously by the narrative.

Favourite movie: There are many good films, but if I had to choose it would be Back to the Future. I have loved the concept of time travel since I first saw it.

Favourite TV Show: Too many shows I like. Sitcoms are my favorites. I like the episodic stories where it is more about the characters doing whatever, like Friends. I also like shows that focus more on the plot, like Dark. Lately the shows that I have been thinking about more are 1899, Death Note and Twin Peaks.

Favourite musical artist: I don't think I have one at the moment, but ABBA is a classic! I also like The Killers, David Bowie, Bruno Mars and Adele.

Favourite color: I like Yellow.

Favourite season: Autumn or Spring.

Favourite book: Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince). It was probably the first book I was interested in reading.

Do you have any funko pops? Yes, the ones I was given.

Do you play any instruments? No. It would be fun and it is never too late to learn something new.

Do you have any pets? I had a dog and rabbits when I was younger.

Do you read or write fanficfion? I don't write, but I like to read.

Do you have any funko pops? No, but I think they are pretty cool. A few of my friends collect funko pops for characters from their favourite shows.

Do you play any instruments? No, sadly I'm not proficient in that area. I did play the thin whistle when I was younger, but that was the extent of it. Funnily enough, I always wanted to learn how to play the piano, of any instrument. It hasn't happened yet. Maybe one day!

Do you have any pets? No, but I grew up in a family home where there were many dogs. I had a habit of bringing strays home, which didn't always go down well with my parents😂 I really miss having a dog, but my current circumstances don't allow it, unfortunately😔

Do you read or write fanficfion? I love reading fanfiction. I used to read stories on Wattpad. Then I found Ao3 through my love of Braime [Jaime & Brienne] in Game of Thrones. I devoured all those fanfics! Recently, I have been well fed by some great 1899/Mauraeyk writers🫶❤️Fanfiction corrects the sins of omission in Canon😉

actually i love it when the characters are all lying. i love it when they all have secrets and none of them trust each other. i love being given clues that solve puzzles i haven't even been presented with yet. i also love it when i get chills watching a scene without even knowing what it means, and when i do know what it means, i get even more chills. i love theorizing and thinking and solving and coming up with possibilities of where a story might be going. i love it and i will do it for free, for fun, for no real reason.

I recently rewatched Death Note, and I found Light's death even sadder than I remembered. Everything about it is so tragic. The way he fell into his own trap. How Aizawa, Mogi, Ide and Matsuda trusted him all these years only to be betrayed by him. They really wanted for Light not to be Kira. Matsuda was so wholesome during the whole anime and he was the first one to shoot. Matsuda had a lot of respect for Light's father and he was the least likely to ever suspect. He really wanted for Light to be innocent, and for Soichiro's peace to be the truth. Matsuda's anger and sadness were so justified and palpable.

Also, the way Light is just so unlike himself. Completely in survival mode. Anything for trying to get out of it and win. Telling Mikami to do something when there is no way. Light even called Takada and Misa for help when he made it impossible for any of them to help him. He killed Takada and made Misa forget about the death note. It makes sense that he was so irrational, just a human in his last moments trying to save his life. In the anime, he gets to run and Light sees a younger version of himself that he can't reach anymore. It’s too late, and he's been running for too long. Look how far he has come. There's nowhere left to go, and it’s time for him to rest in the middle of the stairs. The way Ryuk calmly writes his name away from all the chaos, so different from the manga and yet so sad. Regardless of everything, Ryuk would be the one to take Light’s life when the time came.

When the team went looking for Light after he ran away. Near did not really care about him anymore, Light was done. Although his actions would always leave the mark of losing Mello, who was his other half. Even if Near and Mello could not reach L separately, they could reach him together. Mello gave his life for the case, just as L lost his. Like Near, Light lost his other half. When L died, it did not matter if he had to be L number two or had to deal with his successor. Light just couldn't stop the connection between L and Kira from existing. In the anime, a hallucination of L is the last thing Light sees, just as L has one last look at Light before he dies. Kira's light couldn't exist without L's shadow.
