1899 has so many beautiful shots like these two, which are probably some of the best I've ever seen. I really can't believe Netflix didn't give this show a fair chance.

And our love is a ghost that the others can't see It's a danger Every shade of us you fade down To keep them in the dark on who we are

So I thought it would be a good idea to watch Making 1899 on the 17th of November… It was lovely. How sad that a show made with so much love and passion was cancelled by a brainless company that didn't let it reach its full potential. It could have only got better and better. The way everyone talked about the project was so beautiful. It is clear that they treated their cast and crew really well. Baran Bo Odar and Jantje Friese really created a safe place. They knew what they were doing and the story they created definitely deserves to be told.

Oh, this is so fun to read because I was actually thinking of rereading The Picture of Dorian Gray. I completely see the vision Ángel/Dorian as a young magnetic blond and Ramiro/Basil as a loyal man who is completely in love and obsessed with him.
I would say that Netflix could get José and Miguel to play them for their new adaptation of the book if they weren't making Basil and Dorian brothers... It is always Netflix with their odd choices. The book is great, I hope you enjoy reading it.
I started reading the Picture of Dorian Gray, and it's amazing so far. I'm in love with the dialogue. And bonus: it sort of reminds me of 1899. It's probably the Victorian part, but part where Basil describes his meeting Dorian reminds me of some of the feelings Ramiro and Ángel *could've* felt in their meeting. Will the 189 vibes continue throughout the book? Probably not. But they're good right now.

I love how the Tiedemann boys are literally like their moms.
Aleksander and Silja: a stranger who appears out of nowhere in the woods.
Regina and Bartosz: fall completely in love with a random person they meet in the woods, who is probably hiding their identity.
We also have Silja and Noah. Both of them are waiting to do what they are supposed to do as travelers, which turns out to be to love Bartosz and Elisabeth very much. This is what they did until their death.
