Redesigning Public Domain Characters: Micro-Face

"Tom Wood was a factory worker and a failed inventor. When his brother, Jim, was killed by Big Boston's gangsters, Tom promised to avenge Jim's death so invented a "Micro-Mask" - a full-face mask that contained a built-in microphone (which allowed hm to amplify and throw his voice), a hearing amplifier, and "photoelectric lenses" that gave him x-ray vision. He could also attach telephone wires to his mask to make phone calls. Tom offered the invention to the U.S. government, only to be turned down. Regardless, he used it to become "Micro-Face!""

This backstory ultimately works pretty well, however there is a few things I'd change overall for some ideas I had.

-Big Boston is no-longer the big boss head honcho gangster, atleast at the time of Jim's death. Maybe he can try to strike out on his own later. Instead, Boston works for another gangster known as Hammerfist, essentially acting as an enforcer for him.

Note- Hammerfist is a mobster character from an entirely different Public Domain comic called "The Target" from Target Comics. Figured I'd sorta consolidate these a bit since they're all on the same world in this version of events.

-Micro-Face is absolutely more of a stealthy hero than "beat people up". He strives to cause trouble and retrieve important information from the inside. He can still fight, but he mainly plays mindgames and stuff like that.

-The Micro-Mask was something Tom and Jim made together, with Jim having a few of the ideas to help make it better. This means that Tom donning it to stop the gangsters is him using him and his brother's efforts combined.

imagine having a devastating piece of gossip (the Waynes were secretly sleeping with their butler) and trying to flip that around as an attack/leverage on their now-adult kid mid-fancy event but said kid is Bruce Wayne and didn’t lose his cool last week when the entire actual Earth was about to blow up so all he does is raise one eyebrow, shrug, down his entire glass of champagne in one graceful chug, and waltz off with a breezy “Guess it’s finally time to get that paternity test, huh?”

there are so many lines in That Scene that seem almost inconsequential compared to “I would like to spend-” and “we could have been us” that still utterly destroy me every time. like the way each of them beg the other, crowley repeating “tell me you said no” and aziraphale starting so soft with “come with me” and ending up on the verge of tears with “I need you”. they don’t know how to exist without the other anymore and they can’t fathom being separated like this. and just after the kiss when aziraphale is so overwhelmed and conflicted and he utters “i...” and it’s not clear wether he’s collecting himself before saying “I forgive you” or if, for a split second, he considers saying something else

Okay this shot of Colin is giving me the vibes of this little part of their first night together:

He's figured out that he loves her before this moment but he's just feeling so much that he also can't believe it's all because of Penelope, his lifelong friend who he didn't even see any other way before this season. He's like: "What the fuck and how the fuck are you making me feel these things" and I LOVE IT

He also looks like he was crying (or maybe that's just me) but that would also bring the whole scene on another level
