La Poliziotta is the name of both a series of Italian comedy movies and a series of erotic comics.
The movies star Mariangela Melato as Giovanna, a secretary who becomes a policewoman and faces corruption and sexism in her job. The first movie, La Poliziotta, was directed by Steno and released in 19741. It won a David di Donatello award for Melato’s performance. The movie had two sequels: La Poliziotta fa carriera (1976) and La Poliziotta della squadra del buon costume (1979), both directed by Michele Massimo Tarantini.
The comics are based on the character of Giovanna and her erotic adventures as a policewoman. They were published by Edifumetto from 1978 to 1986, with a total of 62 issues. The comics were drawn by various artists, such as Leone Frollo, Franco Saudelli, Renzo Barbieri, and others.

it can be quite delicate in the heat of the warmer months womens christmas@%&() party dress
Surprise strip shows (with the full monty, thank you very much) Christmas dresses 2020, handcuffing her very chaste friend to a lamp post in Clarke Quay (dressed in a policewoman outfit), and organising complimentary lap dancers for brides, Michelle has done it all. 'I don't remember how many times I've been Terror Chief Bridesmaid but it's enough for all the men in our social group to warn me that when it is my turn, my husband would have to be the biggest sport of all because everyone will take revenge on him! I believe he will be man enough for the showdown lalamira dresses uk,' laughs Michelle. Another really fun part of our wedding day was the gatecrash dance item that Eug and his groomsmen had prepared. It started as a joke during one of our bridal party dinner briefings. Eug and I are not K-pop fans but we chanced upon a particular 'cutesy' song one day (this was way before our wedding) and got some of his groomsmen hooked on it too. During our bridal party get-together, Eug's groomsmen brought the song up and even started learning the choreography just for the sake of laughs. We decided on a rustic theme ?C earth tones for the day and an addition of burgundy and gold hues for the night backless prom dresses. We're naturally more down-to-earth and spontaneous, so we thought the earth tones were a good match to our personalities. We also liked the blend of vintage so we included nuances of it in our theme, using quite a bit of items belonging to my late mother. That blend brought a special meaning for us, a special remembrance.
Every summer wardrobe should include a maxi dress! Once you wear this flowing, voluptuous style of dress, you'll be hooked. If you already have some, why not add a few more to the mix? Whenever I wear a maxi dress I feel graceful and carefree. When I add in other hippy-era accessories homecoming dresses 2019, like a slouchy bag or over-sized sunglasses, it gets even better. It's hard to stress out when you're dressed like a flower child from the sixties! One of the most traditional and expensive fabrics, silk is not only timeless but versatile. It's durable, comes in different textures and styles, and is suited for all seasons, though it can be quite delicate in the heat of the warmer months womens christmas party dress. Spun into thread and woven into cloth, silk is distinguished by its muted shine. Variations include silk gazar, silk Mikado, faille, shantung, and dupioni. It's not just your eco-conscious guests who will appreciate your efforts for sustainability, but also the earth! These days, it's easier to cut down on wastage as more wedding vendors jump on board the green wagon. Start with simple things like cutting shark's fin from your wedding menu, or repurposing your wedding solemnisation flowers and bridesmaid posies for your reception d'cor. The next morning, I made my way to meet Sareh Nouri at The London Hotel, where she was showing sygdljdress20112 her Spring 2015 collection. This was going to be my last preview before I headed back home. It was a very intimate, by-appointment-only session, with a few of us seated on the sofa while Sareh presented her new collection. May 29th-June 4th, 2019 Reader Favorites Archive
The archive for the Reader Favorites chat that occurred from May 29th, 2019 to June 4th, 2019. The chat focused on the following question:
From any webcomic, which female protagonist is your favorite?
Sarai
I'm gonna have to say Credenza Black from the webcomic Archipelago
http://thearchipelago.smackjeeves.com/comics/1891878/book-1-page-1/
She's incredibly kind and brave, and her belief in the good of others is what drives the plot. Despite the fact that she has no magical training and she knows she's in way over her head, she throws herself in this fight to save the world because it's the right thing to do, and she couldn't not do it
She's just such a well-rounded female character who balances generosity of heart with a fierce desire to protect her friends
Drew
I really love Lucy from Gourmet Hound! https://www.webtoons.com/en/drama/gourmet-hound/ep-1-chopped-onions/viewer?title_no=1245&episode_no=1 She's very stubborn, especially when it comes to looking out for her friends. But at the same time that she's protective of her friends, she has this utter disregard for herself that I really relate to. She wants to be able to do everything on her own, and a good chunk of the comic is about her learning to allow people to help her. Which again. Relatable af.
Desnik
Oh I've just now seen Gourmet Hound for the first time and I immediately love it
Drew
It's very very good. Definitely one of my all time favourite comics.
Nutty (Court of Roses)
I've been meaning to catch up on that one RIP
Kabocha
Favorite female Protagonists... Well, Big Sis is an endless favorite, from The Angel with Black Wings http://blackwings.mharz.com/ She's got a dark secret in her past, and it is... extremely challenging for her to face. I'm curious to learn what it is, and learn how she's going to force Ray to get his shit together and be kinder. I also really like Taria from Pathways: Chronicles of Tuvana. She's a princess who takes her duties seriously, treats the people under her kindly, and generally is just a good person all around! AND she doesn't have a romance arc! Her friendships are adorable, and I think we've really learned a fair bit about her, without having it all dumped on our faces. http://pathways.smackjeeves.com/ Midori from Centralia 2050 is also very intriguing - she's an amnesiac who is more than capable of beating a few robots into scrap metal. Despite having no memories, she's engaging and full of personality. http://centralia2050.com/
RebelVampire
Mary from Voidchild. I love how shes this reluctant hero type, and I love just her entire powers setup as well. Mostly though, I really love her backstory. While there are cliche elements, there's a lot of unique elements like the setting and how the tragedy happens. Plus, her backstory is an empowering story of overcoming trauma, and that's also something nice to get behind. https://tapas.io/series/Voidchild
khkddn
ah heck yea mary! i like the contrast between her internal monologue and the way she actually interacts with people. it's interesting to see her personality come out as she becomes part of a group and tries to move beyond her trauma
also her design is striking, i really like the choice of her eyes being in color while most of the comic is black and white
€heshire777
Michelle from Blood is Mine (http://bloodismine.thecomicseries.com/comics/first/) (kinda gory but not nsfw) She really has some depth, and really can get you emotional, and she offers a fairly unique viewpoint as a genetically engineered policewoman with a short lifespan.
BiM is a interactive webcomic btw
Draco Plato
admittedly I struggle to get invested in female characters because of anime treating them so much like vehicles of fanservice for years. I've been branching out of it recently tho and have embraced some female characters in media. I really like the androgyny of Cali from Psychteria http://psychteria.fenauriverse.moe/ . She's just a really good character irregardless of gender and I like that. I've also been enjoying the female characters in My Dad Is a Magical Girl, with Tori being my favorite. I just really like how mature and balanced she seems. https://mdiamg.shinavar.com/
NeilKapit
I'll pick Rosalette Gynn from Ms. Rocket, an endearingly optimistic and vulnerable DIY heroine https://msrocket.com/
Joichi
I feel the same here @Draco Plato with accepting girl characters on the same level as the guys in the past. Stories have improved, I'm seeing 'pro-active girls' taking charge these days, which is what I'm glad to see! So on this topic; I'd say: Bree from Polterguys; she's reasonble, proactive girl dealing with solving issues, working as a barista: http://polterguys.laurbits.com/(edited)
Joichi
This is a tough question, I remember my fave manga girl characters. But 90% of the webcomics I'd read, primarily focus on the boys and their relationships. Or if there were girls, it was short love stories

Impala, Dedictation, and Princess
Last evening, Mark, John, and I walked across the valley to join Peter and Michelle for dinner. Walking across the valley seems extravagant but, in reality, walking down, across, and back up to the other side entails less than a mile. The air was fresh and the walk was lovely. Peter treated us to Impala stew which had been cooked outside, in the traditional way. It, along with all of the other delicacies, was delicious. Peter and Michelle always make me laugh with their stories. Add in Mark and John and we had a hilarious evening. Oh, I love their stories.
While I was here in Nhlangano last year, the Anglican Church began building a larger church for their growing congregation. On a typical Sunday, I go to the High Praise English service and then join the children at their Anglican service. Though I do not speak siSwati, I do keep up with the scriptures and most hymns. The children really look forward to being blessed by the priest, as well as being loved on by their church family. An elder specifically found me at Pasture Valley to make sure I would attend their dedication service. The rituals, robes, as well as pomp and circumstance were impressive.
The Bishop, a woman, was an inspiring speaker. She wove both English and siSwati into her sermon so I understood much of it. She was surrounded by priests (both men and women, black and white) as well as the leaders of the clergy. Scarlet and cream were the main colors of the robes but few were the same. The music swelled until it seemed to burst from the sanctuary. Wow! Some hymns were traditional Anglican and some were traditional African Hymns. Our teens served as ushers and sang for the event. Afterward, they served the banquet and even cleaned up! What good kids. Before we left town, Peter and Michelle treated them to an ice cream cone. That was special.
Several groups of worshippers were identified by their colors and clothes. The elders all wore black, white, and scarlet. The “Mothers’ Union”, a group of older women who pray for and continue to lift up the church, were dressed in purple and white. The Princess, who reminded me of photos of the Queen Mother, was dressed in traditional Swazi fabric, mostly scarlet. She wore a ringlet crown and pearls around her neck. Although I really wanted to take a photo of her, I though that would be tacky and disrespectful. When she stood to bless the dedication, she seemed very regal. You know, this is the first time I have been near a real princess! What a treat.
At the banquet, Peter and Michelle were seated with her. John and I were seated with an acquaintance from Holy Trinity, the policewoman who escorted the princess, and a young social worker who may come to visit Pasture Valley. Peter and Michelle are held in high regard as they care for so many children. They are also supportive of Holy Trinity and the children’s involvement in the church.
Tonight is down time. The children have a few more minutes of play before they must be in. If they are not in the house to eat and bathe by 18.00/6:00 PM, they will not be ready for church on time tomorrow. Normally, Josh drives here to teach Sunday School for the kids who are too small to walk the 45 minutes to town. He, however, is away for the weekend. Thus, I will teach Sunday School tomorrow. Only 12-14 children are involved in Sunday School. The remainder walk to town for church service. They are very faithful in worshipping and participating in Bible study. Tomorrow, we are focusing on gratefulness. Many of them have forgotten where they come from. During winter holiday, the older ones will participate in outreaches. They will visit homesteads that are similar to the ones where they were born. We will haul water, food, and clothes to those in need. In addition, the kids will help make repairs, cut fire wood, and clean the area for the widows we are helping. Whenever we have gone on outreach trips, those who participate develop a new appreciation for their bed, food, water, school fees, and all of the other benefits that they enjoy.
Compared to US kids, these children have little. However, they are so grateful for the clothes, dental supplies, coats, shoes, and other goodies that visiting teams bring them. Their attitudes are admirable! It warms my heart to see the older ones care for the little ones. They teach, play, and care for the little ones like such good big brothers and sisters. They are truly blessed to be here.
Two days ago, a new calf was born (it is the season). This one is so tiny that it gets through the bars on its cage. That could lead to a disaster as a feral dog might take it down. As we were walking across the valley last evening, I noticed several of the older kids searching through the fields for some of the calves who had escaped. That would have been a major task if Peter had to do it alone but, armed with flashlights, the kids got the critters back where they belong, safe and sound. There always seems to be some excitement going on around here!

Netflix and Orginal Movies: May 2020
Netflix has been kind to us lately by giving some great original works, be it a movie, series, or anime. New releases in May are no different from the lineup dominated by the Netflix original series, films, and anime. You already know what Anime you need to look out for, it is time to update your movie list. Here are 10 Netflix films and docuseries or documentary coming out this month.
The Half of It
Directed by Alice Wu, The Half of It follows an introverted high school student Ellie Chu, who, out of financial needs, decides to help the school jock write a letter to his crush. What follows is an unexpected love triangle. Needless to say, The Half of It is not your typical love story.
18 Presents
18 Presents (also known as 18 regali in Italian) follows a pregnant mother diagnosed with terminal cancer, who leaves her unborn daughter 18 gifts for her first to her 18th birthday before she dies. With a take on a mother's desire to be part of her daughter's life after death, this one is the must-watch movies on Mother's Day.
The Wrong Missy
What happens when the universe is hell-bent in setting you up with a former, disastrous blind date? The Wrong Missy. A guy meets the woman of his dreams and decides to send her an invite to an island vacation only to send it to the wrong person.
I Love You, Stupid
In this Spanish rom-com, Marcos loses his job and girlfriend on the same day and is forced to move in with his parents. What follows is a series of hilarious situations while he re-invents himself. The movie will surely take you back to the simpler times before lockdown and COVID.
The Lovebirds
A couple, on the brink of breakup, gets sucked in a murder mystery they are forced to solve. As they get close to solving the case, they find themselves wondering how things can move forward for them. Needless to say, the movie will give you laughter, mystery, and drama.
I'm No Longer Here
This Mexican flick follows the 17-year old Ulises Samperio, who is forced to migrate to the US after a misunderstanding with the local cartel members. As the movie switches between timelines, we will see Samperio struggle to cope with having to leave behind his life.
Becoming
After the massive success of her 2018 memoir Becoming and the book tour, Michelle Obama is back again with a documentary. The documentary will follow Obama during her book tour, creating a behind-the-scenes vibe. Amidst all the chaos, this documentary is sure to be something decent and classy for us to hold on to.
Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics
Have a Good Trip is a documentary featuring A-list actors, comedians, and musicians that takes a comedic perspective on psychedelics and its addictions. Be sure to expect some high-end comedy and animation.
Spelling the Dream
Spelling the Dream is yet another Netflix documentary coming out in May. It follows four Indian-American students competing in and trying to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The documentary covers the competitors' lives for a year, exploring the trend of Indian-Americans dominating in the spelling bee competitions.
La Corazonada (The Hunch or Intuition)
La Corazonada (also known as Intuition) is an Argentinian movie that serves as a prequel to the 2018 movie Perdida. A rookie policewoman Pipa works on her first big case while investigating her murder-suspect boss. The movie, like its predecessor and sequel, is based on the books written by Argentinian journalist Florence Etcheves.
Netflix May 2020 release lineup looks great with these 10 movies and documentaries. I can't wait to check them out! Are you just as excited? Let me know in the comments below.

France: Jews are now leaving their country in large numbers
Via Jewish Review of Books (Michel Gurfinkiel reviews James Kirchick's book, The End of Europe: Dictators, Demagogues, and the Coming Dark Age):
(...) It is not, of course, from the right that the existential threat to the Jews of France has emerged, but from the very immigrants its rhetoric and policies have targeted (which is not, of course, to say that the National Front is philo-Semitic either). The “home to both the largest Jewish population,” as Kirchik writes, “and the largest Muslim population on the continent,” France has become a notoriously dangerous place for Jews. “Anti-Semitic attacks in France comprise 51 percent of all hate crimes even though Jews represent less than 1 percent of the population.” Most of this anti-Semitic violence, from harassment to arson, murder, and pogrom-like street violence, is perpetrated by radicalized Muslims. In 2006, there was the famous, horrific “kidnapping, three-week-long torture, and murderous dismemberment of twenty-one-year-old Ilan Halimi” in Paris by a Muslim-led gang who called themselves “the Barbarians.” In 2012, Mohammed Merah, an Islamist activist of Algerian descent, murdered or maimed four soldiers in Toulouse and Montauban in Southern France and then killed a Jewish teacher and three Jewish preteen children in Toulouse at point blank. In 2014, “at the height of the Gaza War, what can only be described as a pogrom descended on the Don Isaac Abravanel synagogue” in Paris.
A crowd of several hundred people, chanting “Death to Jews” [in Arabic] and wielding iron bars and axes, tried to break into the building where about 200 worshippers were caught inside . . . Though French police rushed to the scene, one witness reported that, had it not been for members of the vigilante Jewish Defense League, “the synagogue would have been destroyed.”
In 2015, in the wake of a mass shooting of journalists at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in central Paris, an ISIS supporter of Malian descent shot a policewoman near a Jewish school in Montrouge in southern Paris, and then, the following day, killed four hostages at a kosher supermarket in eastern Paris.
As recently as April 2017, as we were about to elect a new president in France, a 66-year-old Orthodox Jewish kindergarten director was tortured for an hour in her home in Paris by a young Muslim neighbor who was heard shouting “Allahu Akbar.” After throwing her lifeless body out of the window of her third-story apartment, he prayed. Although police at the scene delayed storming the apartment while waiting for the anti-terrorist unit, there is currently a roiling public controvesy as to whether this will be prosecuted as a hate crime. These are but the headlines of daily life in France over the last decade.
No wonder then that the French Jews, in spite of their remarkable achievements as a community since 1945 and their no less remarkable contribution to French culture, are now leaving their country in large numbers. Two thousand French Jews emigrated to Israel in 2011. Four years later, Kirchick reports, the number had quadrupled. In fact, the decline is steeper than even these numbers suggest, for one has also to take into account those French Jews who settle in Israel as students or visitors without formally undertaking aliyah, not to speak of those who opt for other countries. Kirchick quotes the famous remarks of then–prime minister Manuel Valls after the January 2015 killing spree in Paris:
Manuel Valls, the son of Spanish immigrants, declared, “If 100,000 French people of Spanish origin were to leave, I would never say that France is not France anymore. But if 100,000 Jews leave, France will no longer be France.”
At the present rate of emigration, this will take no more than two decades, probably much less. And yet even if we Jews stay, France, and its Muslim communities, must figure out how they will be integrated into a modern democratic society if France is to remain a viable nation.
Radical Islamic brotherhoods and preachers seem to understand their migration to an originally non-Muslim Europe as part of a religious-political conquest, and many Muslims in France seem to accept this radical Islamist proposition at some level. On this understanding, Europe’s very acquiescence to a multicultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-religious societal model appears to be an admission of weakness. Ironically, they have a point. The political class has, too often, been unable to confront immigrant communities, even when basic legal and societal norms are challenged. Muslim neighborhoods have indeed been turned into “no-go zones,” not ghettoes where minorities are secluded, but areas from which non-Muslims have been de facto expelled.
