I really love 27 Dresses 🥹🥹 I’ve loved it from a young age, I thought James Marsden was sooo dreamy (still is) and Katherine Heigl is one of my fav actresses and I just loved all the different bridesmaid dresses! Any type of fashion centric movie I totally ate up when I was young! And even now!

I also love Bride Wars!!! I love Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson together! Chris Pratt literally played himself in this movie 🤧🤧 How Chris Pratt is in this movie is how I imagine Andy Barber to be!! But yeah this one is another one I loved from my childhood, I so enjoyed watching them plan their weddings and their wedding dresses etc.

I remember I used to love What Happens in Vegas when I was younger but then I rewatched it recently and it just… wasn’t that good. Like it was annoying in fact bc Cameron Diaz was so out of Ashton Kutcher’s league in that movie I’m sorry. So yeah not that one but it was worth mentioning.

Omfg My Best Friend’s Wedding! I loved that one and still do! Although when I rewatched it, Julia Roberts was so annoying in that movie and I felt so bad for Cameron Diaz!! But as a kid I was totally on Julia Roberts’s side bahaha.

Hell no we are not letting this OFMD finale distract from that THIS LETTER.

Had a signature from Taika Waititi. I understand the sensitivity here this issue with Taika being Jewish(and that’s not my place as someone that’s Not Jewish or in those regions to condemn him on that perspective’s behalf) but this letter is directly bastardizing the situation.

Now, when there is a major production from a major figure in this platform that did this, is when we can make the most impact. Remember our values, even when those values involve a show that is strengthening the LGBTQ community.

Because this letter tore down the strength of the movement in support of Gaza. There are going to be so many people that saw this letter and take it completely uncritically, unchallenged.

Standing up for our values means sacrificing our interests, holding accountable the things we enjoy.

And also. I don’t want to see ANYONE. Being fucking antisemitic or racist towards Taika here. That is never appropriate and absolutely inexcusable behavior. You should he ashamed if you think that’s okay even after Taika’s actions.

Being an IT girl in Hollywood has never been about who you date/marry, but about what you yourself bring to the table. It doesn’t mean you are hands down the best actress or artist or have the most awards, you just have to have a whole package of marketability + genuine talent + likability.

Jessica Biel - IT girl of the early mid 2000s

Leighton Meester - late 2000s early 2010s (she didn’t have as a much of a run as Blake but she had her moment)

Minka Kelly - I wanna give her a moment because when I was in college she was kinda big deal for a bit. I’m not sure if she counts as an IT girl though.

Megan Fox - late 2000s into early 2010s. She was IT - and she was married the whole time to someone that used to be famous when he was younger but she surpassed him. Good for her. I wish the industry was kinder to girls like her though.

I would argue, those 2000s era IT girls actually got less famous after they settled down and married. But they had their moment to shine and it was their own name and own career. I’d say Blake has been able to retain staying power due to marrying Ryan Reynolds but she was everywhere during the gossip girl era.
