when teddy was in her tennage years (16-17) she would sometimes have a lot of fights with carmy and reader over little things and she would just lock herself in her room; on those occasions willow would just go to teddys room to check on her and see if she wanted to talk, if she didn’t they would sometimes just lay in bed doing nothing

teenage teddy years are the worst. you and carmen are like 90% convinced you're going to have an early grave, and carmen has this new found sympathy for donna, like "yeah get why she was an alcoholic bc holy fuckin' shit".

teddy is so emotional and irrational and just fearless really in not the best way. she thinks you both are smothering her (mainly carmen) and it leads to a lot of fights and arguments.

teddy will lose it, carmen tries not to but he loses it. they're screaming at each other, doors slam, and teddy is doing the dramatic teenage girl "hell is a teenage girl" misery sulk cry lol.

willow just kinda comes in, sits with her or tries to talk. sometimes they'll just lay in bed, watch a show together, scroll on their phones side by side until teddy's calmed down. other times teddy will rant and just come unleashed until she's calmed down. i feel like there's a lot of similarities between the two- mikey and carmen, and teddy and willow.

For funsies, some stuff about the Buffyverse characters that I've learned from reading the books and comics (a.k.a. fandom things they like):

Willow is a fan of "Roswell" (the OG one, of course).

Cordelia likes "Bewitched." Namely Endora.

Anya's a fan of "The Jetsons."

Since in one of the tie-in books, Dawn makes a positive reference to Jessica Alba, I think this means that she's a "Dark Angel" fan (since when Buffy takes place, that's largely what Jessica Alba what have been known for, of course). We also know that Dawn is a fan of "Pirates of the Caribbean" from the comics. One of the books also let us know that she likes NSYNC.

I'm pretty sure that Xander is probably a "Pokémon" fan, since in one of the "High School Years" comics, he goes into a comic shop where they also trade "Pokémon" cards there. Obviously, that's not the only thing going for it--as it's also a comic shop--but this just seems very Xander, doesn't it? And Pokémon was so big in the 90's, when Buffy largely takes place.

And in the Buffy seasons 8-12/Angel & Faith comics, a number of the cast were "Game of Thrones" fans... though I kind of forget which characters were (I think Harmony was one, but don't quote me on that). I should probably reread the comics someday to refresh my memory on this. And just to reread them, of course. LOL

Edit: And Willow and Tara both loved this show (that was made up for the books) with this live psychic, that Tara and Giles went to a live recording of (because something came up and Willow couldn't go, so Giles went with Tara instead). And we got this Tara and Giles bonding moment that was really cute. We should have had stuff like that in the actual show for dear Tara.

ahh ty! glad my yapping is appreciated haha. the number one thing i’d change about the show is giving michael a full, complete character arc like jentry and kit did. i’ll need to rewatch the later episodes to cement my opinion on this, bc it's possible whatever they were going for just flew over my head, but i felt like he didnt quite get the care and attention he deserved. a character torn between pleasing those around him and choosing the path that makes him happy, learning the hard way through literally getting future visions that if you don’t actively commit to a path in life then the world will choose for you? chef's kiss. concept's great. but i dunno, i feel like he didn't get his big Moment to shine. perhaps confronting jentry in the final episode was supposed to be that moment, but it fell a little flat for me

only other thing i'd change if i were perfect-worlding this is to stretch the episodes out and make it a 20 episode season instead. this show in particular feels like it was set up to have some banger filler episodes that get you more attached to the characters. the plot feels a bit compressed to me
