Gonna be sad one today bois (Spoilers just in case):

Imagine the reader from the real world gets taken into the LoP universe and the only way to get out is to get the "True" ending, so they try everything to make sure P does everything right in order to get out themselves.

BUT, they end up falling in love with him and as P becomes more human he also falls in love with them too. They teach him things from their world and he's fascinated, from getting pictures taken to being able to talk through a small device and get a response within seconds? Amazing in his eyes.

It hurts because the reader knows they'll disappear once he becomes fully human and doesn't say anything to him but try to enjoy their time with him.

Then when its time, P manages to achieve his human ending and goes to find the reader only to be left a note saying how much they loved him and what had happened to them. Then, once again, P cries and falls to his knees, feeling a deep feeling of loss within his heart as he holds the letter to his chest wanting you to come back or at least join you wherever you are.

in honour of the last deep end friday i present: extremely niche les miserables fic fanart...so sad this fic is ending but so glad i got to read it as it was being uploaded. there are so many moments i wanted to illustrate but heres a few from the latest chapter, and 1 grantaire with a book (bc his books were some of my favourite parts to read). ty @aaronstveit for sharing deep end with us, i know i will revisit it over and over again. just one of those fics that stick with you forever<3
