Something that really got me this episode is how Ochako responded when Himiko finally opened up to her.

Himiko says she falls in love easily, because everyone has beautiful blood running inside of them, and Ochako hums, because she's listening. Himiko says she was told not to smile, that she was jealous, and Ochako hums, shakier this time, because she's listening. Himiko tells her about the boy she liked, about her fear of being seen as something inhuman, about how she joined the League of Villains so she could live unapologetically as herself, and Ochako reaches out to her. Brushes the darkness away. Tells her she has a wonderful smile.

And then we get the quintessential Togachako scene and it hits so hard. And a lot of that is because of the buildup - because of Ochako's desperate need to reach out, to touch, to listen (and, god, the way her voice breaks when she begs Himiko to talk to her), because of the catharsis when Himiko finally opens up, how soft her voice gets, how softly Ochako responds to her. I don't even know where I'm going with this. I'm just in awe. This episode ripped me apart.

And the stark contrast between Ochako and the monsters in Himiko's past. The lack of judgement. The way she embraces her, comforts her, understands her, despite everything. She really does touch the sadness inside of her, feels for her like no one else has. Honestly calls her beautiful, calls her cute, because, to Ochako, Himiko really is the cutest girl in the whole world.

I don't know how to end this post. I'm just. Feelings.

Finally, I’ve got some time to share this beautiful comic drawn by my super talented @explosion-island 🌟

For a bit of context, the story takes place in the Altered MHA AU that I created with my best girl @crystalwolfblog In this AU, a rehabilitated Touya runs a car workshop with his wife, Asuki. Their eldest, Takaya, often stops by after his hero course to hang out (and occasionally bother his parents), while their youngest, Nootka, sometimes spends time at the workshop with when she's not attending the kindergarten. This time, uncle Shigaraki - who's also been rehabilitated and lives with Touya’s family - decides to lend a hand at the workshop… though, of course, with some minor complications 🤭

In anticipation for the ending of my hero academia, I gotta say: man, is anyone remembering that one time that one beloved book series about a wizarding school ended with the flawed government staying exactly the same, everyone having kids and naming them after killed off characters, and the protagonist becoming a cop?

I feel like we need to talk about the “introjects are not their source” thing. Because no, I’m not technically my source, but I connect very deeply with it and I get very uncomfortable being separated from it.

I like to imagine that, as Shirakumo was being experimented on and being turned into Kurogiri, he still had enough willpower to fight AFO and his plans. He knew he wasn’t dealing with a regular villain, and physically fighting back didn’t work. Instead, he’d play the part. Be an obedient nomu in front of AFO and the doctor, then delete and destroy information he could get his hands on.

He knew AFO wanted Erasure. If he got his hands on it, everyone was doomed. So Shirakumo would destroy all data on Eraserhead: sightings, weaknesses, etc.. Of course, the ruse didn’t last forever, but he did what he could.

As much as Shirakumo wanted to call for his friends for help, he stayed silent.

Okay, now let's all get on the same page. Izuku has never been without a birth alter, that's impossible.

I elaborate, in chapter 410 All for one dies, which means that all the alters he'd stolen so far are returned to their owners, dead or alive.

Now, right after that, his hair is turning white, for no good reason.

Because if we follow the famous "he doesn't have an alter" reasoning, this color change is just a mistake by Horikoshi. But it isn't ;)

In chapter 413, the owners of the One for All decide that Izuku must give the One for All to shigaraki so that they can beat him from the inside.

Because it's impossible for Izuku to beat him physically.

But let's agree, Izuku is definitely dead if he passes the Ofa. By the time they react after the transfer, enlarge the breach and do their thing. Shigaraki will have had all the time he needs to destroy everything. With deku left with NO defense.

So I sincerely believe that his stolen alter will save him when the One for All no longer belongs to him.

Because there's no way he'll survive without an alter against shigaraki, who'll have the two most powerful alters. Knowing that even with the One for All it wasn't a foregone conclusion 🧍‍♀️
