I hope you all had a lovely day whether you celebrated Easter or not. Today was fairly low key at our house to be honest. I enjoyed seeing all my friends dressed up & the different elements of their celebration. I wanted to take the day & create a bit. I've had this goal recently to make sure I'm using the things I own & have invested in. I have a lot of art products from various subscriptions & things I've bought thinking how fun it would be to try them or get back to using them. Tonight it was a few different combinations of colored pencils from @derwentartofficial & a unopened palette of pastels from @janedavenport. I had this idea early this morning & I had no idea how I'd execute it. I just knew I wanted to play with some mixed media & use this pad of colored drawing paper I'd never tried. So these styles just evolved on the fly. I actually do a lot more modern art peices than I typically share on social media, plus I drew more traditional Easter eggs last year... so I wanted to go with a more contemporary vibe. I also love whiplash curves. The neutral modern Easter egg is done in #charcoal tinted pencils with touches of #metallic & the frosted pastels. Then the multi color inspired egg I used the #inktense colored pencils with metallic & the #janedavenport pastels.
