Well, I am sort of back. Not quite. Still very rusty. Being in an funk and not having the drive to draw is a depressing feeling. You want to do it, but just can’t. It’s so hard to describe the feeling and I think only other artists know how it feels if they have experienced it. I mentally felt I was not there and I still am not fully there. There was a time when all I wanted to do was draw and I have not been able to get back into that feeling. All things around you affect your motivation and will. One of mine was a new full time job, which mentally consumed me and when I got home from work I didn’t even want to lift a pencil. Covid was another reason and losing a job I loved. After months and months of entering a more depressive state, I had to discuss with myself, is this how I want to live my life? Do I want my job to consume me? I was very grateful I found another job! I wanted to excel in this job. I work hard and I am dedicated. Well, anyway, it’s not easy and it has taken me awhile to lift a pencil again. I finally did, a real pencil, not a tablet. It also really helps having friends that are other artists who have experienced the same thing, but it’s also them that can trigger something that turns the lightbulb on! You know who you are and last night I picked up a real pencil and gave it a shot. It was late last night I started this rose. I didn’t want to finish it. I posted my WIP last night on Facebook. It was my family and friends that mention how much they liked it and left me some lovely comments. Well, I finished it this morning. I am still not happy with it, but it’s a start. I am now thinking of something else to draw! I drew this rose because the white rose conveys a message of hope and love. I love the talent that I have been blessed with and I hope I can bring joy to others who connect with my art. Thanks for all the support, a like, a follow and comments do wonders! Sooooo then when I log in and there is nothing there, I get one page and no profile pic, nothing, it takes me to this page. I get this window when I go to log out! They don’t tell me where I need to go on the Internet to have my account reviewed! I guess I will no longer be on Facebook if I can’t have all my posts, pica and friends back that is on my profile and my Christy Bruna Art page, my Brother’s page will be gone since he doesn’t do Facebook and I have his pages tagged to my profile. A quick digital Angel drawing this evening. I am getting used to working on a tablet over pencils and paper. Who would have thought? It’s all still so new and lots to learn. I still think it’s so wild how you can get lots of real effects digitally on a tablet just like old school pencil on paper. I love how I can bring my paper Angel drawings to digital drawings. I will be able to do so much more and offer as prints and on products. Hi folks, I know you haven’t heard from me in a long time with new stuff. That was because I was in a funk and my will and energy level was not there to draw for a year! I did do some commissions for Christmas, but that was it. Nothing for myself. I have been researching drawing tablets for about 3 months and I finally got it hooked up tonight!I have never done digital art! This is going to be a new direction for me! Anyway, this is a doodle of an Angel that I have been practicing on my new @clipstudiopaintpro drawing software using my new drawing tablet @gaomonpentablet for about the past hour and a half.
