The Owl House Meets Mixels

Here's a crossover idea I thought of that's also a dedication to Pride month. Where some noteable characters from The Owl House meets a bunch of Mixels.

I wanted to make an art piece based off one of my favorite queer couples in animation, that being Luz and Amity. And I also felt like the rainbow-length color palate of Mixels would fit right in with the occasion.

(time now for our last addition from Mixels Watch season 1)

(being introduced in the season's penultimate episode (episode 9), it's Mesmo of the Wiztastics)

(of course, people already knew he was gonna show up, since he was shown being summoned in the season 1 intro)

(but regardless, here's his bio...)

Mesmo:

Mixels Tribe: Wiztastics

Ghost Tribe: Shady

Voice Origins: Carlos Alazraqui

Special Ability in Combat: Liftoff (can take off by flapping his wings to knock back his opponents)

As a member of the Shady tribe, Mesmo definitely fits right in, what with his lack of emotion. However, he's also smart and shy alongside it. He prefers to stay in the background and not get too much of the spotlight.

Mesmo does act as a great friend though, helping out when he needs to, especially Torts, an old friend of his, and one who also fell victim to the mysterious psychopath. It's likely that this connection is what led to Mesmo also becoming a ghost.

Despite finding out that Torts is a member of Snoof's team of ghosts, he isn't quite comfortable with joining right away, as he doesn't know anything about Snoof at all.

Mesmo also isn't comfortable with how poorly his brothers have been handling the news of his demise, with his eldest brother, Magnifo, reduced to a silent, unenthusiastic loner. Despite his lack of emotion, he hopes to somehow lift his brothers' spirits, even if they can't see him.

Speaking of emotion, he is able to make anyone he inspirits completely emotionless, just like him.

Mixels Frenzy: The End

And we’ve officially come to the end of the art project; closing my own tribute to this underrated little gem of a franchise that has left a huge impact on my life. All 81 Mixels, drawn, colored, and presented! Overall it has been a swell time revisiting this series, and drawing out all these fun, wacky, and imaginative looking creatures. Getting to talk about all my personal favorite characters, while also finding some new appreciation for some others.

I feel very accomplished working on this project, it allowed me to sharpen up my drawing skills, create my own release schedule, as well as experimenting around with the color pencils set that I got for Christmas. I’ll probably do something like this again for a different series/franchise in the future, but for now, I’m going to move on to some new smaller projects. I’ve been drawing Mixel characters for nearly 3 months and I kinda want to take a break for now. But I’ll certainly get back to it at some point, I might even consider drawing out all the Maxes.

Anyways, Thank you to everyone who has stuck around for this 2+ month long project. I hope you enjoyed this little series as much I did, and that you’ll stay tuned to more of my upcoming art pieces.

Day 26: Wiztastics!! Made Magnifo, Mesmo, and Wizwuz. Fun fact: Mesmo has fairy wings because of an animation from Jolly Mixels on YouTube where he said "Fucking pink fairies everywhere".

Before I continue the fanart story of Mixels, I saw a picture of the Great Eared Nightjar since 2 days ago on the Social Media(Instagram), so I decided to drew this for Mixels OCs.
