𝙱, 𝙻𝚈𝙽𝙲𝙷:
there goes mercedes being dramatic again. becky would let out a sigh as she crossed her arms across her chest. she wasn't too sure what kind of nonsense was about to fall from her lips but she figured it wouldn't hurt to listen. sometimes they were so crazy that they became enjoyable. a chuckle would pass and the irish superstar would shake her head. though the name was different than what she knew her as long ago, it was still the same person deep down.
❛ i didn't choose to be a hero. i just chose to be me and ... well, i suppose a lot of people like me. even when i tried to be the bad guy, they still liked me. what path are you hobbling down anyways with that broken ankle of yours? ❜
❛  𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲.  ❜ she had been expecting the monologue of how everyone in the world just loved her so much. however, it had been awhile since she had felt any sort of bite from the other woman. fuck, she had missed her. the words almost passed her lips, but she had the common sense to not say that out loud.
instead, she glanced down at her foot. at the boot she currently was being forced to wear. she grimaced at the view, still annoyed at herself for the minor injury. ❛  𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬. 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧?  ❜ just a sprain. a bad sprain, but nothing was broken. she hadn't messed up that much. ❛  𝐢'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧. 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭.  ❜
not wanting the moment to get too quiet. too awkward. mercedes cleared her throat, before flashing becky a wide grin. ❛  𝐬𝐚𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡.  ❜ a fake gasp. eyes wide. hand raised to her chest as she leaned in closer. ❛  𝑶𝑯 𝑾𝑨𝑰𝑻 - 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡. 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞. 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠?  ❜

forgive me now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing : jungkook x sanrio girl!oc
genre : fluff , slight angst
warnings : arguing , mentions of sexual activities
a/n : FINALLY an update. 😓😓 unedited btw
this is a continuation from my previous text au btw!
you stand awkwardly in your friend's yard, clutching onto your little pink suitcase. your boyfriend said he would pick you up and that there was no need for you to call a cab home. usually, this would've been fine. much much much better than the cab even. but not now. the small argument you had with jungkook last night would definitely make things a little awkward between you guys. it was always like that. silent treatment until one of you gets impatient. that's usually jungkook. and it will be jungkook this time as well.
you kick some rocks on the ground while mina tells you and jihyo about some video games she's been playing. you mindlessly nod, not paying any attention to what she's really saying. you feel bad, but you're just not in the mood right now.
all you could think about was the argument. you were aware from the beginning about how overprotective jungkook actually was. you didn't mind it. not one bit. in addition to that, you always felt an underlying effect from whatever he did. it was arousing to say the least. but anyway. he called you a bitch. much worse, noh? how could he.
your eyes dart to the direction of the horn of the car you're so familiar with, emitting a soft sigh along the way. jungkook pulls up in his mercedes benz sl 63 amg, rolling down those expensive ass windows to look at you. he gets out of the car and tries to make an effort to carry your luggage but you don't let him, giving him the cold shoulder. jungkook grits his teeth, eyes scanning your figure up and down as you set your luggage in the back of his car then hug your girls goodbye.
once you were done with your goodbyes and back in front of his car, he tries to open the door for you but you ignore him once again, proceeding to open the backseat's door. you never did that. you were always his passenger princess. always.
the thought that he may have actually fucked up clouds your boyfriend's mind. jungkook closes the door with a thud, clearly frustrated. your friends weren't a helping hand either. instead, they were giving him mean glares. they never liked jungkook much. i mean, to a certain extent they did. but it wasn't enough.
the tall man sighs, his upper body fully turned to face you in the backseat. you weren't paying him any attention and instead, face buried in your phone when it should be in between his pecs, giving him the fattest hug ever while saying you missed him. but nah. eh, he really did fuck up.
jungkook glances at your friends a last time, the scowl on their faces never leaving. he scoffs, starting the engine of the car and beginning to drive out of your friends' sight.
jungkook looks at your reflection through the mirror, while doing that thing again. poking his cheek with his tongue. hot. you try your best not to look.
"you're so dramatic. talk to me."
suddenly, you break out of your stoic expression, jaw opening a little as you stared at your boyfriend in disbelief.
"me? jungkook, look at yourself! you said you would track down my phone to find my location if i didn't answer!"
"and you know damn well i would."
"i— well, that isn't the point here! the point is—"
"honey, we're past that, don't you think? just forget it." he grunts, completely discarding my opinion.
"no. calling me a bitch was too far. you don't get to disrespect me like that. who do you think you are?"
jungkook pauses for a few seconds, taking his time to think of what to reply with. he got silenced, for sure. then he sighs again, opening his mouth to speak again. no. ugh, fuck. you hate when he's like this. why is he acting like he's...tolerating you?
"get on the front." jungkook clicks his tongue, patting the empty passenger seat.
you so clearly refuse, stomping your heal on the carpet of the car as a sign of rejection. jungkook doesn't have any of that, immediately parking the car on the edge of the road. he gets out of his car and walks to the other side of the car, now in front of you. jungkook opens your door and pats his thigh—another signal for you to get on the front. you refuse again though, looking somewhere else.
"brat." he mumbles under his breathe. your boyfriend grabs your arm and pulls your body upwards. you wince a little, finding his touch a little too harsh.
"wait, shit, sorry." his thumb lightly brushes over the spot where he grabbed you gently, then sweetly giving it a few kisses after.
"get on the front seat, baby." his tone was sweet this time, like honey. he was speaking to you as if you were a flower who could get destroyed even from the slightest breeze.
and you just couldn't refuse. you listen to him this time instead of being whatever he calls you, a "brat". you sit on the passenger seat, crossing your legs over one another. but you still weren't looking at him. attitude much, huh?
jungkook groans at your behaviour. he loved it though. found it rather hot although sometimes it was a little too hard to deal with.
he suddenly grabs your jaw, his touch gentle but strong, tightly gripping your face but enough to not hurt you. he has your face turned to his side, forcing you to look at him.
"look at me at least."
you stay silent. your eyes drop down to his lap, legs spread and meaty thighs flexing.
"y/n."
one small look at his face, you break down to a whine. you pucker your lips into a pout, squeezing your eyes shut in irritation.
"i'm really sorry, my love. i admit that it was very wrong and inappropriate of me. i won't say that again, hm? i'll do whatever you want. just please talk to me."
"apologising isn't going to work."
"fine. i'll take you anywhere, buy whatever you want. hell, i'd buy you the entire world, you know that?"
your lips tremble and you grunt, "stop thinking that buying me everything would fix every single problem! it won't! why are you so good at finding solutions for every single problem that includes everything BUT yourself?! it's so frustrating, jungkook! yesterday, you could've literally just called me!—"
"you didn't answer! i called you so many fucking times, noh? did you answer once? nah."
"THAT doesn't matter! it was just...like, one day, jungkook!"
"yeah, and? who knows what would've happened? i was thinking of every single possibility. did you get killed or something? had me fucking stressing for nothing." jungkook rolls his eyes, rubbing his temple.
"it was for just one day! calm down!"
"no! didn't even tell me where the fuck you were going. had to drive upto your fucking house to find out."
you pause for a second, taking a deep breath, gritting your teeth, "jungkook. stop swearing at me."
jungkook scoffs, accepting it either way with a nod.
"let's stop arguing. hate fighting with you, y'know? let's go home, y/n. this is stupid."
"you're stupid!" you fight back.
"stop acting like a kid, damn. i said sorry. we're going home."
jungkook doesn't let you continue as he turns around and sits comfortably on his seat again, eyes facing the front.
"your house or my house?"
"your house." your voice came out in a small squeek.
a few minutes pass by, jungkook managed to sneak his hand up your thigh to grope the flesh. you let him. it was one of his silly habits. each time you're in the car with him, jungkook would either hold your hand or grope your thighs. and when you questioned it, he'd say "for emotional support." what emotional support? you always found it funny. but cute though. sometimes, he'd get sneaky and slowly slide his hand downwards, little by little, and end up cupping your pussy. that itself was enough to make you go crazy. he'd start by slowly rubbing your clit through your panties, then sneakily make his way inside :) .
by now, you both had reached his house. jungkook parked his car in his garage and entered his room, who was laying on his comfy ass bed that was big enough for 5 people.
he lays down with you, big arms engulfing your smaller body. you let him, you're past the argument now. jungkook snuggles into your body, cheek smushed against your breast. his body temperature was hot, warming you up instantly.
"we good now?"
"mhm."
"talk more, baby. i want to hear you. what did you do yesterday? ate well?"
your face melts down at your boyfriend's words. cute man. cuuuuteeee. myy man. how could you ever hate him? :< . you spent the rest of the cuddling and jungkook trying to make it upto you. he gave you foot massages, back massages, made you food, watched your favourite show with you (which you've made him rewatch about 10 times already), ate you out good, ran you a bath, another foot massage, online shopped with you which resulted in him buying you goodies worth 500$ and more, head massage, fucked you good, rubbed your body to sleep and so on 😊.
maybe arguing isn't THAT bad after all.

First ask, kinda nervous - but let's go (I found your blog yesterday, and I already became a fan✨️)
I saw you like love and deepspace, do you have a headcanon about one of the characters?
I swear, before the new update (that they put a period calendar), one of my biggest headcanons was that Zayne has a period app in his cellphone because of the MC. So he knows when she is moody because of the period, then he gives her a lot of sweets and hugs and cuddles ❤️
rafayel headcanons
♱⋅── Don't be nervous, love~ That's such a sweet headcanon for Zayne, I definitely can see it happening as well! If you've been following my blog then you already know I'm obsessed with a certain fishie, so here are some (a lot) of headcanons I have for him~
Tumblr media Tumblr media
general headcanons:
If this were a normal!AU I definitely headcanon Rafayel being younger than the MC (she'd be 27, a full-time bodyguard and he'd be 24 but a famous art protegee since 15), but Rafayel insists he's the older one to everyone you meet. It drives you insane.
He canonically has a Mercedes Benz AMG Gran Turismo and Ferrari 250GT, but I think he has at least three sports cars.
It's not a symbol of wealth to him because, honestly, Rafayel simply doesn't check the price tags on anything-- if it's a beautifully designed car, suit, jewelry, or painting, he buys it without another thought.
And vice versa. If an expensive label offers to sponsor him but he hates the designer he'll refuse no matter what the pay is.
Also suuuch a niche thought but I can so see normal!AU Raf and you first hooking up in a club or bar. You disappear the morning after mind-blowing sex, and Rafayel can't get you out of his head-- but he doesn't even know your name.
He makes paintings of hidden freckles on your body, of your blurry figure dancing in the dress you wore that night, of colors and swirls that remind him of your touch. The media goes crazy over this mystery woman who's taken over the famous artist's heart.
He has no reservations about calling you his muse and within hours the press is abuzz with speculation on this mystery person who has captured the artist's heart.
"Love? Yes, I'm in love with her."
You, on the other hand, are mortified. You try to forget about him and move on but cue a series of further coincidences and shenanigans that tie you and Rafayel closer and closer together.
Also, he would fuck you in the passenger seat of his sportscar while the paparazzi are swarming outside.
And since it's a cold January, of course Rafayel would use any excuse to whisk you away somewhere warmer:
Rafayel would love taking you on vacation to different islands.
Beautiful secluded villas on the ocean with no one around to disturb the two of you as you spend your days lounging around the open-air rooms, Rafayel’s paintings strewn about the entire villa, splashing it with more color anytime you're not walking along the beach, cooking something together, swimming in the ocean at sunset, or fucking on every possible surface.
On days the two of you would want to go into civilization, he'd take you to lively local bars and restaurants, and as soon as reggae music starts playing you best believe he's tugging you up to dance. Especially if he has a drink or three in his system.
Laughing, one arm laces around your waist as the other spins you around. Rafayel chases away any sort of anxiety or awkwardness you might initially feel just by how happy and natural this seems for him. You're the only person he cares about, so what does it matter if no one else is dancing? Or if a dozen other couples are doing the same? As long as you're in his arms, happy, Rafayel couldn't care less.
He's a damn fine dancer too. Being a swimmer and all he has to have good control of his body, and we all saw him be a natural center during that lnds dance show lmao.
You best believe you're also fucking nasty in the sand.
Disguised as a cute dinner date, he blindfolds you and leads you to a hidden cover decorated with string lights, a candle-lit dinner on a picnic blanket waiting for you, which he spent all day preparing while feigning fighting art block.
It’s romantic and sweet, the way Rafayel expects praise for all his hard work and the way you’re more than happy to shower him with it. You feed each other as the sun sets behind the ocean’s horizon, yet you can’t even get to dessert before kissing him senseless.
"Wow, someone's excited."
"Shut up and kiss me."
Rafayel's smug grin is swallowed up by your lips, and he barely has the sense to shove aside plates of food before pulling you down atop him on the blanket.
You're grinding on each other like lovesick teens, moaning and giggling between yourselves before you pepper kisses down Rafayel's neck as you thank him for everything— for planning this wonderful vacation, for setting up this romantic diner, for being yours.
And being called yours? Being lovingly, irreversibly claimed?
That does things to Rafayel.
"Ya, I'm all yours cutie, my muse, my sweet darling." Rafayel smiles up at you, covered in the deep red of your lipstick from his cheeks to the jut of his collarbone peaking out under his ruffled shirt. "Yours."
He flips the both of you around, swallowing your yelp with a kiss and cushioning your head with his hand as it hits the sand. Hooking your leg onto his shoulder, Rafayel kisses the delicate bone of your ankle, lips tracing up the curve of your calf, up to the tender bend of your knee, all watching your expression twist with desire as his other hand teases your inner thigh.
I'm yours, I'm yours, I'm yours. It's a promise, a prayer whispered into your skin between love bites, between suckles on your skin that taste like seasalt and desire.
When Rafayel does finally kiss your cunt, it's light, teasing, and he admires the pretty lace, bunching up your dress just enough to still hold eye contact over the folds as he sucks your swollen clit through the fabric.
One of your hands tugs against his hair, Rafayel moaning at the sudden pressure as you bring the other up to stifle your cries.
"No, no, please don't do that," he whines, nuzzling into your thigh, looking up at you with puppy eyes before roughly fucking two fingers into your weeping cunt. "Wanna hear you, my little siren. My heart."
Greedy. Rafayel is greedy for everything you give him, taking your hand from your mouth and gently kissing your knuckles as every precise curl and thrust of his hand makes you moan and writhe against the sand. Each sound you make a melody, each cry of his name intoxicating.
It's not long before Rafayel goes back to eating you out, unable to keep his mouth off you for long. He forces you to hold eye contact as he makes out with your cunt, eyes rolling back at the wet, sloppy sounds in between his pussydrunk moans and the distant roar of the ocean.
Only when you cum for the third time, desperately tugging his hair between pleas for mercy, does Rafayel relent with a whine.
Placing one last kiss on your swollen clit, his dazed smile meets yours, the dark pink blush covering his face matching the hearts in his eyes. Your lipstick stains are still visible, branding your kisses into his high cheekbones, neck, and sweat-slick chest. Shit, even his undoubtedly expensive shirt is stained around the collar.
But the marks around his lips and down his jaw are all smudged by your release, marring Rafayel's pale skin with a dark red, dripping down his throat as he swallows the taste of you once more. And when you meet his eyes again, you realize he's far from done.
"Say I'm yours. Say I'm yours again."

Tumblr media
The roar of the engine vibrates through your chest, a familiar feeling that settles you even amidst the pre-race jitters. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The final race of the season. Another year you’ve spent on the edge of your seat, watching George chase his dream.
You adjust your headset, the noise-cancelling mufflers doing little to completely silence the cacophony of the paddock. He's starting P3 today. A good position. A position where anything can happen.
You've known George Russell since you were awkward teenagers, navigating the minefield of secondary school. He was the lanky, perpetually energetic kid obsessed with karting, and you were the quiet one, buried in books and content to observe from the sidelines.
He dragged you into his world, fuelled by passion and the unwavering belief that he was destined for greatness. He was right, of course.
Now, standing in the Mercedes garage, surrounded by a whirlwind of mechanics and engineers, you feel a surge of pride, so potent it almost makes you dizzy. He’s come so far.
Your focus snaps back as George's voice crackles through your headset. "…and then, darling, I told Toto that the balance felt a little off in turn 7. We made some adjustments, and it's feeling much better now."
Darling.
That single word, so casually dropped, still manages to send a jolt of electricity through you. It always has. It's a habit of his, a comfortable term of endearment he seems to bestow on everyone from his mother to the team's catering staff. But when he says it to you, it feels different. Warmer. More intimate.
You swallow hard, trying to ignore the heat creeping up your neck. "Good to hear. Just focus on the start, George. You've got this." You manage to say, hoping your voice doesn't betray your inner turmoil.
"Always do, darling. Always do." He chuckles, and the sound sends another shiver down your spine. "See you after the race."
The line goes dead, and you let out a shaky breath. You hate this. Hated the way one simple word could throw you off balance.
You grab your clipboard, feigning interest in the tyre strategy, desperately trying to regain your composure.
The race unfolds in a blur of adrenaline and anxiety. You watch, heart hammering against your ribs, as George battles for position, expertly navigating the tight corners and high-speed straights.
Every overtake, every defensive move, sends a wave of relief or panic washing over you. He finishes second. A great result.
Later, after the post-race interviews and the podium celebrations, you find him in the cool-down room, towelling off his sweaty hair. He looks exhausted but exhilarated, his eyes shining with hard-earned triumph.
"You were amazing out there," you say, offering him a water bottle.
He takes a long swig, the muscles in his throat working. "Thanks. Felt good. Could have been better, but I'll take it." He grins, and the weariness seems to melt away. "So, darling, what did you think of that move on Leclerc in turn 6?"
There it is again. That word.
You feel your cheeks flush. "It was… impressive. Very aggressive."
He laughs. "Had to be! He wasn't going to give me the position otherwise. Besides," he adds, leaning closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "I knew you were watching. Had to put on a show."
Your heart skips a beat. "Oh, really?" You try to sound nonchalant, but your voice wavers slightly.
"Of course! Always got to impress my biggest fan." He playfully nudges your shoulder. "So, fancy grabbing some dinner? Celebratory Nando’s?"
Nando’s it is. You and George have had a tradition to go to Nando’s after every single race since he started in F1.
The restaurant is buzzing with energy, filled with fans buzzing about the race. You and George manage to find a relatively quiet booth in a corner, and settle in.
"So," George says, after you've both ordered your food, "what did you really think about the race?"
You tell him honestly, praising his overtaking skills, gently pointing out a couple of areas where he could have been smoother. He listens intently, nodding occasionally, absorbing your feedback. He values your opinion, always has.
Even after all his success, he still trusts your judgement.
"You know," he says, leaning back in his seat, "I really appreciate you being here, at all the races, darling. It means a lot."
The word hangs in the air between you, charged with unspoken meaning. You look down at your hands, fiddling with the edge of the napkin.
"I wouldn't miss it," you say softly. "Seeing you achieve your dreams… it's incredible."
He reaches across the table and takes your hand, his touch warm and comforting. "You've been there since the beginning. Through all the karting races, the Formula 4 championships, everything. You've always believed in me, even when I doubted myself."
You meet his gaze, your heart swelling with emotions you've kept buried for far too long. "I always will, George."
A comfortable silence settles between you, broken only by the clatter of plates and the murmur of conversations around you. Then, George speaks again, his voice thoughtful.
"You know, I don't think I tell you enough how much I appreciate you, darling. You're not just a friend, you're… you're family."
Family. The word echoes in your mind, a bittersweet melody. You cherish your friendship with George, but you long for something more. Something deeper.
"I feel the same way," you say, your voice barely above a whisper.
The food arrives, momentarily interrupting the conversation. You both dig in, the familiar taste of peri-peri chicken a welcome distraction. But the unspoken feelings still linger in the air, a tangible presence between you.
At the end of the meal, George drives you home. As he turns to you before you get out of the car, he says, “I had a great time, darling. We should do it again.”
As the years pass, George's career continues to soar. He wins races, challenges for championships, becomes a household name. Your life, too, evolves.
You pursue your own dreams, excel in your chosen field, building a successful career. But through it all, your friendship with George remains a constant, a source of unwavering support and affection.
And still, he calls you "darling."
He doesn’t realize the effect he has on you. How your heart skips a beat when he says it, how your palms get clammy, how you have to consciously fight the urge to blurt out something ridiculously embarrassing. He uses it with everyone, you tell yourself.
It's just a friendly term of endearment. But still, you can't help but feel a little different when he says it to you. Special, even.
One evening, years after that Abu Dhabi race, you're at George's house, helping him pack for the summer break. He's sprawled on the bed, surrounded by a mountain of clothes, looking utterly overwhelmed.
"I have no idea what to take," he groans, running a hand through his hair. "It's supposed to be relaxing, but I always end up overpacking."
You laugh, shaking your head. "Leave it to me. I'm a master packer."
You start sorting through the clothes, folding shirts and neatly arranging them in his suitcase. George watches you, a soft smile playing on his lips.
"You know," he says, after a few minutes of comfortable silence, "you're the only person who can make packing look effortless."
"Years of practice," you reply, without looking up.
"Speaking of years," he continues, his voice taking on a more serious tone, "we've known each other for a really long time, haven't we, darling?"
There it is again. That word. But tonight, it feels different. Heavier. More deliberate.
You finally meet his gaze, your heart pounding in your chest. "We have," you say softly.
He held your gaze for a long moment, his expression unreadable. You could see the gears turning in his head, something shifting behind those hazel eyes. You braced yourself, wondering if he was finally going to say something, anything, to acknowledge the undercurrent that buzzed between you.
But then, he blinked, and the moment was gone. He chuckled, a light, disarming sound. "It's crazy, isn't it? All those years of school, all the races we've been to, all the… well, everything. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess."
Relief and disappointment warred within you. He wasn’t going to confess anything. He wasn't going to say anything at all. He was just going to keep calling you “darling,” completely unaware of the effect it had on you.
You forced a smile, trying to match his lighthearted tone. "It does. And we've definitely had a lot of… everything."
He nodded, leaning back against the headboard. "Remember that time in Monaco, when you accidentally dumped a bucket of ice water on Toto?"
You groaned. "Don't remind me. I thought I was going to be banned from Formula 1 for life."
He laughed, a genuine, booming sound that filled the room. "You were lucky he has a sense of humor. Anyway, back to the packing. What do you think? Three pairs of swim trunks or four?"
The tension had dissipated, replaced by the comfortable familiarity that had defined your friendship for so long. You sighed inwardly. The moment had passed, and with it, any hope of clarity.
You turned back to the suitcase, picking up a pair of bright blue swim trunks. "Three is plenty, darling. Unless you're planning on entering a speed-swimming competition."
He grinned, completely oblivious. “You never know!”
The rest of the evening passed in a comfortable blur of folded clothes, shared memories, and lighthearted banter. You told him about your upcoming photography exhibition, he regaled you with stories of his disastrous attempt at learning to surf, and the word "darling" continued to slip from his lips with casual ease, each utterance a tiny pinprick of longing.
Later, as you were leaving, George walked you to the door. He paused, his hand resting on your arm. "Thanks for doing this," he said, his eyes meeting yours. "I really appreciate it. You always know how to make things easier."
"Anytime," you replied, trying to keep your voice steady. "Just promise me you won't spend the entire vacation glued to your phone."
He chuckled. "I'll try my best, darling."
He hugged you goodbye, a brief, friendly embrace that left you wanting more. As you walked down the driveway, you could feel his gaze on your back.
You resisted the urge to turn around, knowing that seeing him standing there, bathed in the warm glow of the porch light, would only make your heart ache more.
You knew, with a certainty that settled heavy in your stomach, that George wasn't going to say anything. He was comfortable with the way things were, with your comfortable friendship, with the casual affection he expressed so freely.
And you, you were destined to remain on the periphery of his life, forever blushing at a word he didn't even realize held so much power.
As you drove away, you whispered to yourself, “Goodbye, darling.” It tasted of longing and unrequited hope. You knew that the word would continue to haunt you, a constant reminder of a love that could never be. And maybe, just maybe, that was enough.
Maybe the quiet ache of longing was better than the risk of shattering the fragile balance of your friendship. . . .
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
The Ibizan sun beat down on George, but he barely registered it. He lay sprawled on a white sun lounger, the epitome of relaxation, yet a million miles away in his head.
His family buzzed around him; his father tinkering with the pool filter, his sister Cara splashing in the shimmering water with her children tossing a frisbee. Normally, he would be right in the thick of it, teasing his nieces, engaging in some competitive sports.
But not today. Today, he was lost in the past.
He clutched his phone, the screen replaying a grainy video. It was eight years old, a relic from a simpler time. A time before roaring engines, screaming fans, and the relentless pressure of Formula 1. A time when his biggest concern was acing his Physics exam and impressing a certain girl with sparkling eyes and a mischievous grin.
That girl was Y/N.
The video, a chaotic mess of shaky camera work and teenage exuberance, documented a day in their 'exciting' secondary school life. Y/N, the mastermind behind the whole thing, had insisted on capturing their mundane reality for posterity.
He remembered protesting at the time, embarrassed by the prospect of immortalising their awkwardness. Now, he was grateful.
On the screen, a younger version of himself, all gangly limbs and nervous energy, fumbled with his tie as he walked alongside Y/N. Her laughter, bright and infectious, echoed from the phone's speakers, cutting through the gentle lapping of the pool water. She was narrating, her voice brimming with youthful enthusiasm.
"Good morning, world! It's Y/N, and this is 'A Day in the Life of Two Utterly Average Teenagers'. Prepare for thrills, spills, and questionable fashion choices!"
The video cut to a shaky shot of the school gates, then to a montage of their lessons. George cringed as he watched himself struggle to solve a quadratic equation, Y/N whispering the answer beside him with a playful smirk. There was a clip of them sharing chips at lunchtime, fighting over the last one. Another of them huddled over textbooks in the library, Y/N’s hand resting lightly on his arm as she explained a complex concept. He could almost feel the warmth of her touch, the faint scent of her lavender perfume that always lingered in the air around her.
The video was utterly pointless, utterly ridiculous, and utterly captivating. It was a window into a time when life was uncomplicated, when happiness resided in shared glances and whispered jokes. It was a reminder of the deep connection he shared with Y/N, a connection that had only deepened with time.
He was supposed to be sharing this holiday with her. They had planned it for months, a much-needed escape from the relentless F1 calendar. But then, a last-minute work commitment had forced her to cancel. An important project, she had explained apologetically, her voice laced with disappointment. He had understood, of course, but it didn't make her absence any easier to bear.
He was so engrossed in the video, reliving those cherished memories, that he didn’t notice someone sitting beside him until they spoke.
"Where's Y/N? I haven't seen her in a while," his mother, Alison, asked, her voice laced with concern.
George jumped, startled, nearly dropping his phone. He looked up at his mother, her eyes filled with gentle curiosity. “Oh, hi Mum. She… she couldn’t make it. Work stuff.”
Alison's brow furrowed. "That's a shame. I was looking forward to seeing her. She's practically family at this point."
George smiled, a genuine smile that reached his eyes. "She is, Mum. She really is."
He paused the video, the image of a laughing Y/N frozen on the screen. "I miss her, you know?" he confessed, the vulnerability surprising even himself. "I miss just… being around her. Being normal."
Alison reached out and squeezed his hand. "I know, darling. It's hard when life pulls you in different directions. But you two have something special. Don't let anything break that."
He nodded, his throat tight. "I won't." He knew she was right. Their connection was strong, forged in the crucible of shared experiences and unwavering support. It had weathered long distances, demanding careers, and the constant pressures of his public life. He wouldn't let it falter now.
"Show me the video," Alison said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Let's see what you two were like back in the day."
George hesitated for a moment, then handed her the phone. As they watched the video together, he found himself explaining the context, reliving the stories behind each clip. His mother laughed at their teenage antics, her face softening with fondness. He realised, with a surge of gratitude, that his family understood his relationship with you. They saw something special in it, something he had been too afraid to acknowledge.
After the video ended, Alison handed the phone back to him. "She's a good one, George. Don't take her for granted."
"I won't, Mum. I promise," he'd replied, a little too quickly.
Then came the bombshell. “Try and ask her out soon,” she added, her eyes twinkling.
“What!” he said, his voice cracking slightly. He hadn’t expected that. He thought his mum would be more cautious, tell him to take things slow. This was the opposite of that.
“Oh, come on! Everyone can see it, George. Except maybe you, in your state of blissful denial.” His sister, Cara, perched beside him on the sun lounger, her eyes knowing. "She's practically perfect for you, you know. Smart, funny, loves dogs… what's not to like?"
The rest of the holiday passed in a blur of sun, sea, and a constant internal debate. You were always on his mind.
He found himself reaching for his phone to text you, only to stop himself, unsure of what to say. He didn't want to jeopardize their friendship with clumsy advances. Rejection scared him, especially from you.
He glanced at the group of sunbathers by the pool, families laughing and couples holding hands. It made him feel a pang of loneliness, a longing for something more than just friendship with you.
Finally, on the last day of the holiday, he decided he couldn't put it off any longer. He needed to talk to you. At least, send a message. He typed and deleted several texts, each one sounding more ridiculous than the last.
“Hey Y/N, just thinking of you. Hope you’re having a good week!” - Too generic.
“Missing you! Greece is great, but it would be better with you.” - Way too forward.
“Fancy grabbing a coffee when I get back?” - Too casual.
He groaned and threw his phone onto the sun lounger. He was overthinking it. Terribly.
Later that evening, as the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, George found himself alone on the beach. The gentle lapping of the waves was the only sound that broke the silence. He picked up a smooth, white stone and skimmed it across the water.
"Overthinking it, are we?"
George jumped, startled, and turned to see his sister, Cara, walking towards him, a knowing smile on her face.
"How did you…?" he began.
"Oh, please. I know you better than you know yourself," she said, sitting down beside him on the sand. "Look, George, I know you're scared. You don't want to ruin the friendship you have with Y/N. But sometimes, you have to take risks. Life's too short to wonder 'what if?'"
He sighed. "It's just… what if she doesn't feel the same way? What if I make things awkward? What if…?"
"What if she does?" Cara interrupted. "What if she's been waiting for you to make a move? You won't know unless you try. And honestly, the way she looks at you? It's pretty obvious to everyone but you."
Cara’s words hung in the air, a stark challenge to his own self-doubt. He knew she was right. He couldn't let fear dictate his actions. He had to be brave.
When George returned home, he went straight to his apartment and after some thought, he texted you.
He replayed their text exchange in his head, his palms sweating.
George: Hey darling, how are you doing? Hope work isn't too crazy.
Y/N: Hey George! Glad you're back from your holidays. I'm good, swamped with work as always, but surviving. How was Ibiza?
George: It was nice, but glad to be home. Actually, I was wondering if you were free sometime this week? I’d love to hear all about what you’ve been working on.
Y/N: I might be. What did you have in mind?
George: There’s this new italian place I've been wanting to try.
Y/N: Dinner? You’re asking me on date, George?
That text had sent his heart into overdrive.
George: Only if you want it to be.
The agonizing minutes of waiting, the wave of relief when she finally responded.
Y/N: I’d like that very much.
He knew he had to confess. He couldn’t just dance around the issue any longer, teasing himself and her. He had to lay it all on the line after dinner.
Now, as he waited for the time to pick her up, he felt a nervous energy he hadn't experienced since his first F1 race. He checked his reflection one last time, smoothing down his hair.
He was wearing a crisp, dark blue shirt, tailored to fit perfectly, and dark jeans.
Smart casual, he hoped. . . .
The hum of the hair dryer vibrates in your hand, a dull counterpoint to the frantic drum solo your heart is currently playing. George asked you to dinner. Just dinner. A friendly dinner. To discuss work and his upcoming holiday.
You repeat the mantra in your head like a lifeline, trying to quell the butterflies that have taken up residence in your stomach.
The dryer clicks off, and you stare at your reflection in the mirror. A strand of hair stubbornly refuses to cooperate, twisting into a rogue curl despite your best efforts.
You sigh. This is ridiculous. It's just dinner. With George. Your best friend. Right?
Your gaze drifts towards the two dresses laid out on your bed, each a stark contrast to the other, each holding a different promise. The first, a little black dress, is a classic. Short, sleek, and undeniably alluring.
It hugs your curves in all the right places, the low-cut neckline hinting at just enough skin to be intriguing without being overtly provocative. You imagine yourself in it, feeling confident and sophisticated, ready to take on the world.
Or at least, ready to face George.
Then there's the blue dress. Long, flowing, and ethereal. The color is a vibrant cerulean, mirroring the summer sky, and the fabric shimmers with a subtle, almost otherworldly glow.
It's elegant and understated, the kind of dress that makes you feel like you could float away on a gentle breeze. It hides more than it reveals, whispering of secrets and untold stories.
You pace between the two dresses, your mind a battlefield of conflicting desires. The black dress screams confidence, but is it trying too hard?
Would George think you're trying to send a message that isn't there? The blue dress, on the other hand, feels more like you. Honest. Authentic. But is it too… casual?
After what feels like an eternity, you make your decision. The blue dress. It feels right. It feels like you. And tonight, you need to be yourself.
You slip into the dress, the cool fabric cascading down your body like liquid silk. You smooth it over your hips, feeling a sense of calm settle over you. A light touch of mascara, a swipe of your favorite lip gloss, and you're ready.
The doorbell rings, and your heart leaps into your throat. You take a deep breath, trying to regain your composure, and walk towards the door.
When you open it, George is standing there, looking impossibly handsome in a tailored crisp, dark blue shirt and dark jeans. His blue eyes widen slightly as he takes you in, a flicker of something unreadable passing over his face.
"Wow darling," he says softly, his voice a low rumble that sends shivers down your spine. "You look… amazing."
You blush, feeling your cheeks flush with heat. "Thanks," you manage to stammer, your voice betraying your nervousness. "You look pretty good yourself."
He grins, that familiar, boyish grin that still makes your heart skip a beat after all these years. "Shall we?" he asks, extending his arm.
You slip your arm through his, and together, you step out into the warm evening air.
He leads you to his car, a sleek, dark Mercedes that screams money and success. He opens the passenger door for you with a flourish. "After you darling," he says, a playful glint in his eyes.
As you slide into the buttery leather seat, the scent of his cologne – a subtle blend of spice and citrus – fills your senses. You buckle your seatbelt, acutely aware of his presence beside you.
“So,” he says, pulling away from the curb. “Italian tonight? Heard they make a mean carbonara.”
“Italian’s perfect,” you reply, relieved that the awkwardness seems to be dissipating. “I’m starving.”
The drive is comfortable, punctuated by easy conversation. You catch up on his whirlwind month – the adrenaline-fueled races, the sun-drenched beaches of his holiday. He listens intently as you recount your own, significantly less glamorous, experiences at work.
“It’s nice to just… talk,” he says, his voice softer than usual. He glances at you briefly, a fleeting smile playing on his lips. “It feels like it’s been forever.”
“It has,” you agree, feeling a warmth spread through your chest. “A month is a lifetime in George Russell time.”
He chuckles. “Tell me about it. Sometimes I feel like I’m living five different lives at once.”
The restaurant is tucked away on a quiet street, a charming establishment with twinkling fairy lights and the comforting aroma of garlic and herbs. George leads you to a table tucked in a cozy corner, away from the main bustle of the dining room.
“Table for two, Signore Russell?” the waiter asks, his eyes lighting up with recognition.
“That’s right,” George replies, flashing him a charming smile. “And this lovely lady is… Y/N.”
You smile at the waiter, feeling a surge of affection for George. He always remembers to introduce you, no matter how famous he gets.
As you settle into your seats, you have the familiar sensation of being utterly at ease in George's presence. You've known each other since you were both gangly teenagers with braces and questionable fashion choices.
You've seen him at his best and his worst – celebrating victories, nursing broken hearts, struggling through exam stress. He's seen you through equally tumultuous times.
The conversation flows effortlessly as you peruse the menu. You reminisce about old times – the disastrous school play where George forgot his lines, the time you accidentally set his hair on fire during a chemistry experiment, the countless late-night study sessions fuelled by copious amounts of sugary snacks.
“Remember Mr. Henderson’s history class?” you ask, laughing. “He used to fall asleep mid-sentence.”
George shakes his head, grinning. “And we’d draw moustaches on his notes. Good times, darling, good times.”
That word again. Darling. It still has the same effect on you.
As the waiter takes your order, George leans forward, his expression becoming more serious. “So, how are you, really?” he asks, his blue eyes searching yours. “How’s everything going?”
You hesitate for a moment, unsure how much to reveal. “I’m… okay,” you say cautiously. “Work’s been hectic, but nothing I can’t handle.”
He raises an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. “And personally?”
You sigh. “Honestly, it’s been a little lonely. I miss having you around.”
His gaze softens. “I miss you too,” he says, his voice low and sincere. “More than you know.”
As your meals arrived, the waiter offered a bottle of Chianti. George raised an eyebrow at you in question, and you nodded, deciding to throw caution to the wind. The wine was rich and smooth, loosening your tongue and easing the tension that still lingered beneath the surface.
"Remember that time we tried to sneak into that over-18s club?" you asked, swirling the wine in your glass.
George laughed. "And got caught immediately! Your fake ID was so bad, it said you were born in 1888."
"Hey, it was worth a shot," you retorted, grinning. "Besides, we ended up having more fun at that dodgy karaoke bar. Your rendition of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was truly unforgettable."
The laughter flowed freely, punctuated by shared memories and inside jokes. You talked about everything and nothing, the years melting away as you rediscovered the easy camaraderie that had always defined your friendship.
"It's just… it's hard, isn't it?” you said, the smile fading slightly. “Watching you achieve all your dreams, knowing that you're living the life you always wanted. I'm happy for you, I truly am, but it also makes me question my own choices."
George reached across the table and took your hand, his touch sending a familiar shiver down your spine. "Don't," he said softly. "Don't ever think that your life is any less important or fulfilling than mine. We all have different paths to follow, different things that make us happy."
He paused, his gaze intense. "And, to be honest, sometimes I envy you. You have a sense of normalcy, a stability that I often crave. The racing world is… insane. It's all-consuming. Sometimes I wish I could just escape it all and live a normal life, like you."
You laughed, incredulous. "You? Want to be normal? I find that hard to believe."
"Believe it," he said, squeezing your hand. "And you know what else? All this success, all the trophies and champagne… they mean nothing if I can't share them with the people I care about."
The rest of the meal passed in a comfortable haze of wine, conversation, and shared history. As the waiter cleared the table, George suggested a walk. You readily agreed.
As you stepped out onto the bustling city street, the cool air sent a shiver down your spine. The night was alive with the hum of traffic and the murmur of conversations spilling from open doorways.
Neon signs cast a colourful glow on the wet pavement, reflecting in the puddles like scattered jewels.
"Do we know where we're going, or are we just wandering?" you asked, tucking a stray strand of hair behind your ear.
George simply grinned, that familiar, charming grin that had always made your stomach flutter a little. "Don't worry, trust me."
Trust George? You always had. You'd known him since the awkward days of secondary school, a lifetime ago. He was a constant, a familiar comfort in your life. You started walking, falling into step beside him.
The conversation flowed easily, as it always did between you. He talked about the upcoming Formula 1 season, the pressure, the anticipation, the relentless training. He spoke of the new car, the tweaks, the improvements they were hoping for. His passion was infectious, even to someone like you, who only understood the basics of motorsport.
Then, you found yourself venting about your own work. Another day, another unreasonable client, another project that felt soul-crushingly pointless. "Honestly, George," you sighed, "I think I'm going to lose my mind if I have to write another article about the top ten cat breeds for apartment living. My creative soul is dying a slow and painful death."
He chuckled, squeezing your hand gently. "You know, you could always quit. You're talented, you could do anything you want. Write that novel you've been talking about for years. Open that quirky little bookstore you always dreamed of. Life's too short to be writing about Persian fluffballs."
You laughed, shaking your head. "Easy for you to say, Mr. Multi-Millionaire Racing Driver. Someone has to pay the bills."
"Hey," he protested playfully, "I'd happily support you. Think of it as an investment in the arts."
"Very generous," you teased. "Maybe I should just marry you for your money."
He stopped walking, turning to face you, his expression suddenly serious. "Don't say that, even as a joke." He paused, then added softly, "I wouldn't want you to marry me for the wrong reasons."
The intensity in his gaze made your heart skip a beat. You quickly looked away, a sudden wave of nervousness washing over you. "I was just kidding, obviously."
He nodded, seemingly satisfied, and resumed walking. The comfortable rhythm of your conversation was slightly disrupted, replaced by a strange, unspoken tension. You both walked in silence for a little bit.
After some time, you noticed that the sounds of the city were fading, replaced by the gentle roar of the ocean. The air smelled of salt and seaweed.
"Where are we going?" you asked, curiosity piqued.
He just smiled mysteriously. "Almost there."
Finally, he stopped. You were standing on a deserted stretch of beach, the waves crashing softly against the shore. In the distance, you could see the faint glow of the city lights reflecting on the water. And then you saw them.
Balloons. Dozens of them, bobbing gently in the night breeze. They were inflated with helium, their strings tied to small weights that kept them from floating away. And emblazoned across the balloons, in large, cheerful letters, were the words: "WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND?"
Your breath caught in your throat. You must have stumbled upon someone else's surprise, you thought. It was a sweet gesture, incredibly romantic. You started to turn to George, ready to apologize for intruding on someone's special moment.
"George, I think someone is asking some…" The words died in your throat as you saw what he was holding. A bouquet of your favorite flowers, lilies and roses, their delicate petals illuminated by the faint moonlight.
Your hand flew to your mouth, stifling a gasp. What? This couldn't be…
George looked incredibly nervous, his usually confident demeanor replaced by a vulnerability you'd rarely seen. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, clutching the flowers tightly.
He took a deep breath and began to speak, his voice slightly shaky. "Darling," he said, and the sound of that single word sent a shiver down your spine. Out of all the things George had said to you over the years, there was something about "darling" that was uniquely special. It felt warm, intimate, and utterly disarming.
"Darling, from the moment I was paired with you in year nine to do that disastrous science experiment," he continued, a small smile playing on his lips, "I knew you were going to be a special person in my life. I just didn't know how special until a few months ago. Will you be my special person and be my girlfriend?"
Tears welled up in your eyes, blurring your vision. You couldn't believe this was happening. You and George? After all these years? It felt like something out of a movie, too perfect to be real.
"Yes, George," you whispered, your voice thick with emotion.
Relief washed over his face, and the biggest grin you'd ever seen spread across his features. He carefully placed the bouquet on the sand, then stepped towards you, his eyes shining with happiness.
He reached out, cupping your face in his hands. "Really? Yes?"
You nodded, unable to speak. The tears were flowing freely now, but they were tears of joy, of disbelief, of pure, unadulterated happiness.
He lowered his head and gently kissed you. It was a soft, sweet kiss, filled with tenderness and affection. It was a kiss you had dreamed about countless times, a kiss you never thought would actually happen.
When he pulled away, he was grinning from ear to ear. "I can't believe it," he said, shaking his head in disbelief. "You actually said yes."
"Of course, I said yes," you replied, laughing through your tears. "What took you so long?"
He chuckled, pulling you into a tight embrace. "I was terrified," he admitted. "I didn't want to ruin our friendship. You're one of the most important people in my life, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing you."
You hugged him tighter, burying your face in his shoulder. "You could never lose me, George. I've been secretly in love with you since that disastrous science experiment in year nine."
He laughed, squeezing you even closer. "So, all this time…"
"All this time," you confirmed, pulling back to look at him. "Now, about those balloons…"
The rest of the night was a blur of laughter, whispered confessions, and stolen kisses under the moonlight. You walked along the beach, hand in hand, talking about the future, about your hopes and dreams, about all the possibilities that lay ahead.
Later, as you sat wrapped in his arms, watching the sunrise paint the sky in hues of pink and orange, you finally found the courage to tease him.
"You had me scared for a second there," you laughed softly, nuzzling into his chest.
"Why?" George asked worriedly, his arms tightening around you.
"Your speech sounded like a proposal," you said, your voice light and teasing.
George grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, you're going to be a fiancée soon enough."
You gasped, playfully shoving him. "George! Don't even joke about that!"
He laughed, pulling you closer. "I'm not joking, darling. I know we've only just started dating, but I know what I want. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
Your heart fluttered. "You're crazy," you whispered, but there was no denying the warmth spreading through you.
"Crazy about you," he corrected, kissing your forehead. "Now, tell me, what kind of ring do you like? Just so I have an idea," he winked at you
You playfully roll your eyes, burying your face in his shoulder. "You're getting ahead of yourself."
"Am I?" George playfully nips at your ear. "Maybe. But a guy can dream, can't he?"
The first rays of sunlight kiss your skin, a soft warmth that mirrors the feeling in your heart. You are finally with George, the man you have loved for so long.
And as you look up at him, at the love shining in his eyes, you know that this is just the beginning of your beautiful life together. . .

Nico/Jenson being Logan's parents headcannons
To the anon who asked me to do this, I'm sorry I lost your question and that it took me so long. Hopefully you find this well.😭
Logan grew up keeping it a secret so people wouldn't think they're the reason he got into F1
He grew up speaking all the languages they taught him, but no one knows he speaks them.
He loves when people say he looks like Nico because he thinks his dad is pretty.
He celebrates mother's day with Nico and Father's day with Jenson (it started as a joke but now they've continuously done it)
When Logan got into his first kart, both his dad's cried.
Logan accidentally called Nico 'dad' in front of Lewis once and it's been awkward ever since
He cried in Jenson's arms when he won his first race.
Nico was weary of Logan making close friends in karting (war flashbacks ifykyk)
Nico and Jenson have had arguments with multiple people because they've talked about Logan's driving rudely.
Logan ignored Nico for a whole week after Nico told him that the tooth fairy wasn't real.
He then ignored Jenson for two weeks after Jenson told him that Santa wasn't real
Jenson calls Nico and Logan his blonde brats (neither of them like it but Jenson thinks it's funny)
Jenson tells the worst dad jokes in history and Logan stares at him. (He actually thinks they're funny but will never admit that)
Logan calls Nico 'Brittany' sometimes just to piss him off.
One time, a girl Logan was going out with called Jenson a dilf one, bc she didn't know he was his dad, and Logan almost threw up.
Jenson and Nico lost Logan at a race once when he was a kid and sent security out to find him. Logan was just sneaking food in the Mercedes garage.
Logan's favorite uncle is Sebastian.
Logan once hid Jenson's glasses from him because Nico told Jenson that he looked hot in them
When people ask Logan about his family, he stares at them like an owl until they go away.
Jenson took Logan fishing because, yk, 'American culture' and he found out he loved doing it with him
When Logan was younger, he used to hit Jenson every time he hugged or kissed Nico because "He's my dad, get away from him"
Little Logan was clingy to Nico which made Jenson a little jealous
Logan loved being carried by his dads when he was younger. But he preferred to be carried on Nico's hip and for Jenson to carry him on his back.
Logan used to take naps in the weirdest places and they've lost him many times because of it.
Jenson used to peel all Logan's fruits for him. He still does whenever he can get the chance.
Jenson and Logan once tried to make Nico breakfast but it ended with the smoke detector going off and about two ruined pans. Nico wouldn't let them in the kitchen for weeks afterwards.
Nico used to carry Logan everywhere and actually cried when he realized Logan was getting too big for him to do it anymore.
Jenson taught Logan how to ride a bike, but not without a busted knee and Nico smacking him upside the head for it.
They absolutely adore Logan's accent and the way he pronounces certain words
They make him say big words just to hear it in his accent.
Logan still naps in Nico's lap from time to time and Nico cries every time.
Logan used to sneak into his parents' room when he had a nightmare and would elbow Jenson in the ribs.
Nico had to comfort Jenson because he started bawling his eyes out when he found one of Logan's onesies from when he was a baby.
Logan still calls his dads some nights so they can talk him to sleep when he's having trouble.
Logan was one of those jealous kids that would get mad when he would see other kids around his dads.
Okay so this is the end but I'll probably make a pt2 with more young Logan and his dads because I have so many ideas.

pairing(s): engineer!george russell x driver!reader
brought on entirely by this ask thank you anon i owe you a great debt😭 also light angst beware.
Tumblr media
You’re more angry than anything.
What a stupid mistake, taking the turn like that. Too hard too fast too reckless. Never careful enough, like George always presses you to be. You feel shame churning in the hollow of your chest in the back of the safety car.
You’re on the way to medical. You would be even if you didn’t have an ache in your neck. Something sharp in your chest. You’ve fractured a rib, you think. Broken it even. You know this feeling, the whiplash of a crash. Waiting to have your injuries confirmed.
You think of the car, the smell of smoke registering as you took a second to reorient yourself. To remember all of your limbs. Ringing in your ears, then George. George, prompting your reply over and over. Tone clipped, hurried, near-frantic, still-professional. The car is on fire. You need to get out of the car, now. And your limbs snapping back into awareness, into motion—
You’re fine now. Angry mostly.
You let the doctor check you over, refer you for an ultrasound for the rib. It hurts when they press on it. You’re left with a manila folder to give to your team and an order to take it easy for the rest of the day.
Outside the medical building you can hear the cars on track. It puts something sick in the pit of your stomach. At least it’s only FP2. You’ve not utterly ruined a race, and the team still have time to fix your mess. Still. Still.
You turn a corner to make your way back to Mercedes hospitality, you find George instead.
He looks like someone’s taken a livewire to him. His head of usually soft curls is messy, hair standing half on end. He’s got those serious, shell-shocked eyes that always appear when his smile vanishes. You frown as his head snaps to you, alerted by the sound of gravel underfoot.
“Shit,” you blink and he’s already halfway to you, “Are you alright? What did they say?”
His hands are on your shoulders, pulling you toward him and you’re not thinking anything in particular about that. Just grappling with his sudden closeness. His apparent worry. So apparent that someone’s sent him here to medical, to you instead of having his valuable input on the pit wall.
“I’m fine,” you push his hands off you, “I’ll just need an ultrasound. It’s nothing.”
“Did they check you for smoke inhalation?” he presses on, despite your attempt at deflecting, “Your car was on fire.”
You shrug, shake your head, “I dunno, George. They checked my breathing I guess.”
You hear a sharp intake of breath and feel him start to move toward the building. You grab his wrist, haul him back, knowing he’ll march you in there and demand they check if you don’t reassure him.
“I’m fine,” you insist, “No smoke inhalation. Not even a cough.”
He’s looking down at you, jaw set, the line of his mouth severe. So serious as he checks you over like he has x-ray vision— as if he can see things the doctors can’t because he’s more worried than they are. You’re keenly aware of your fingers looped around his wrist, the feeling of his pulse, his skin, the tender way his hand reaches to grab your wrist in kind.
Your relationship feels different here. In this moment.
The closeness of a driver and her engineer has never escaped you. From the moment you met him for the first time in Brackley— tall, cheerful, a bit awkward, a little overbearing— you’d known that you’d be close. That’s the nature of it. You didn’t have to be charmed by his sincerity to predict that.
But you’d grown closer than you would have ever thought. You know his quirks, his idiosyncrasies. How he has his tea, the clothing brand he buys all his clothes from, the way speaks to waiters like they’re old friends, the overly friendly nature that masks a man who’s just nervous people won’t like him. He knows yours.
Your proclivity for being reckless on track, because winning is everything and what are you if you’re not a winner? How you have three shots of espresso in your coffee every morning. The way you cry your eyes out at father-daughter moments in movies. Your ache to be loved and your accompanying fear of commitment.
George is like no-one else. No ex, no best friend, no situationship knows you like George does.
Inside and out.
Anyway. Your hand on his wrist, your aching rib, him standing outside medical when he should be on the pit wall. It makes your head spin.
He closes the distance between the two of you. Hauls you into his flat chest and weaves his fingers into your hair, cradling the back of your head like he might lose you. Something wells in the top of your throat. The back of your neck feels gooey, soft, as he holds you. As if all the tension is easing out of you.
You take a deep breath, wrap your hands around his waist. Fireproofs against the bare skin where his Mercedes polo has hiked up. He says something into your hair that you can’t hear. The tone of it gets you anyway, the fondness.
You hiccup, hating yourself for it.
Then you’re crying. Shock of the crash wearing off, unable to ignore the comfort of being held up physically and emotionally by George. Tears, wet, hot are streaming down your face. Soaking George’s shirt.
“You’re okay,” he says into your ear, rocking the two of you back and forth in the gravel, “You’re okay, I promise.”
You know you are. Logically. But hearing George say it makes it easier to believe. You think, even, that he might be saying it for himself too.

any driver with a hip hop dancer!reader partner ? maybe lando, kimi, or ollie ?
i ended up making this more general dancer headcanons than hip hop dancer bcuz i don't really know much about hip hop dance so i hope that's okay!
gn!dancer!reader
cw: suggestive (ollie)
lando norris:
oh he's fucking obsessed with watching you dance
this man is both oddly flexible and awkward as fuck and therefore he thinks he can pull off some of the moves you do and only just about avoids breaking a bone because you catch him
comes to every single performance or competition you have, fully ready to cheer you on - he doesn't give a single fuck about any fans or paparazzi spotting him either
absolutely loves sitting on facetime with you whilst you practise bcuz he finds that watching you learn a dance is actually a lot more satisfying than watching you do the whole thing successfully
kimi antonelli:
i think kimi would totally love this because he's all fastfastfast and numbers and data and you are all following the flow and, in some cases, rather slow
he's not stupid enough to try and replicate your moves but he will memorise them in his head so if you forget the next part, he'll be able to help you figure it out
he might try and come to every performance/competition of yours but, considering he's going into his rookie f1 season, he might have to miss more than he'd like to keep up a good rapport with mercedes - he'll try and make it up to you tho
the moment you collapse onto the floor in relief over finally learning a dance, kimi will happily crawl over (if he's there) and give you a thousand kisses because he's so proud of you
ollie bearman:
ollie loves that you're a dancer! he finds it so enchanting and he has a billion videos of you dancing saved to his phone so he can rewatch them when he's bored or missing you
get him drunk enough and he's totally attempting to learn your choreo and he cannot do it but it's rather endearing how excited he gets about "doing" it
ollie will literally be so upset if he misses any of your performances or competitions so you've started getting people to film them for him so he can still watch them even when he isn't there - it's the highlight of his day when he gets out of the car after a free practice session or quali and there's a video from you waiting for him
ollie thinks sweaty you is hot so when you finish learning a dance and turn to him, panting, he's pouncing on you, whining for you to let him taste you - and who are you to say no?

F1 grid x driver! Reader
Side note : I don't know why it took me so long to write this but here we go
The reader is a driver on red bull at checo's place
Request : no
Part 2 /part 3 / part 4 / masterlist
Tumblr media
It all started when y/n a young talented woman joined the f1 in red bull racing, having won 2 World titles at f2 finally getting the recognition she deserved.
When she was younger she looked up on a lot of drivers that had retired by the time she joined at 2019 like Sebastian Vettle, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Michel Schumacher, Niki lauda and a few others.
Having her room filled with posters, signed photos, cups, shirts, pictures of her and her idols, paddock passes and everything.
Her childhood crush on Jenson Button was a best kept secret,. Very few knew about her crush and she preferred it that way because it was going to be awkward because if it got out, because come on they work together in a sense, he had interviewed her multiple times.
Driving along side max both at 17 had both good days and bad, with competition racing against your idols, your friends was a bit of a struggle in the beginning but as the months passed they all learned to not take whatever happens on the track outside of it and then she and a few others like Max, Charles, Lando, Oscar, Pierre and some other people getting more serious with the races.
The fans favourite moments were when before they race they waving at one other from inside of their cockpits, or traditions they did before the race, or even when they gathered around gossiping when and if they could whenever they were. Outside at a cafe? Yes!, at their hang outs? Yes!, at their grid walks? Yep! And the fan favs at press conference and before the races. Twitter going crazy about that.

There are so many talks.
When you spend almost half of your time on a place With so many people, either loud or whispers you Will learn so many things and hear so many things which you probably shouldn't hear or know but it's hard to not acknowledge them like an engineer from Mercedes fucked someone from redbull in hopes of learning information about the car so Mercedes could be better.
Or that a redbull engineer got his wife little sister and best friend pregnant the same month that he got his wife pregnant With his second child.
Some times you hear rumor regardless of whether that may be true or not....
Christian horner talking and fucking a girl from his team which when you learned that you didn't know what to do because Christian was a father figure to you and Max having shity fathers. Be cautious when you were around him? Desapointed? Sad? Or disgusted? You didn't know for sure either way and you went to max first with the information you had. At first he was just like you. A wave of emotions washed over him like it did to you, then you both discuss and decided on what to do and that was to wait and see if it's true or not, to not tell anyone nor his wife which you were close to or anyone for that matter and never mentioned it again... Verbally anyway when you saw him texting someone in the presence of his wife you exchanged looks, knowing looks or side eyeing each other when you saw them together talking a few meters from everyone else whispering . Which a few months later the texts of them were linked and you learned that a week or so from the first race of the season when you were tagged in a post about it
(Side note: I took actual tweets of that because I can't be bothered to make fake ones but also I am trying to edit it to have her be mentioned in them)

Hey I am gonna do a part 2 because it doesn't let me put more than 10 so.... Sorry

Dexter Morgan x Reader
Word count: 2.8k
Summary: Six months later things are seemingly okay despite Rita being pregnant, but lately Dexter seems to be withdrawn. Is he hiding something?
Part 8
Previous | Next
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆
Before I knew it, six months had passed just like that, and my relationship with Dexter had been going smoothly, even with Rita ordering him around all the time, though Dexter didn’t seem to mind it and never let it affect our time together. I appreciated and made sure to give him some grace; I couldn’t imagine how hard it is to balance serial killing, work, a pregnant ex-girlfriend, and a new girlfriend all at once. Just thinking about it gave me a headache; I sighed and stood up. It was almost time for Dexter to come and pick me up for our date. I walked over to the mirror on the door of my hallway closet and gave my outfit a once over. My outfit was more formal as we had dinner in an upscale restaurant on the other side of town. I blew myself a kiss in the mirror as I heard my phone ring on the table; I picked it up and stepped out of my apartment.
“Hey, just calling to let you know that I’m here. Are you ready?”
“Yeah, I am; I’m making my way to you now. See you soon.”
I exited my apartment and saw Dexter waiting out front in a car I didn’t recognize; I raised an eyebrow at him as I approached the vehicle: a slick black Mercedes with a blue stripe on the side. Dexter had a slight smile on his face and got out of the car; he kissed my forehead and escorted me to the other side of the vehicle. I was deeply flattered and wooed. It’s not that Dexter wasn’t always well-mannered, but today, he seemed to be in overdrive. Dinner at the fancy restaurant was his idea. Frankly, it wasn’t really my style, but I would never say no to a date with him and an excuse to dress up. Dexter climbed back into the car and buckled himself in. He smiled over at me and grinned before starting the vehicle. It was briefly quiet, with the radio playing softly in the background.
“So why the sudden fancy date? This all seems out of character for you.”
“Truthfully, it was Angel’s idea; he said the least I could do was treat you to something special, considering how patient you’ve been with me and Rita. I do appreciate it, just so you know.” He said, turning to face me. He rested a hand on my thigh.
“I know, but thank you, this meant a lot. It honestly hasn’t been easy, and it’s hard not to feel a bit jealous when I’m your girlfriend but not the one you’re waiting on, hand after foot. So yeah, today was nice; all your attention was focused on me for once.” I said with a smile, and Dexter squeezed my thigh before placing his hands back on the wheel. I looked out the window, and my eyes perked up. “Hey, wait, can we stop somewhere before we go back to my place?”
I had Dexter take us to the beach; it was empty at this time of night, which was perfect. I left my shoes in the car and walked barefoot through the sand towards the shore; I glanced back at Dexter, who was following me with his hands tucked into his pockets. I smiled at him before facing the sea. The air was faintly salty, and the water felt good on my feet, albeit cold. The waves crashed gently, and the wind blew slightly. The moon shone brightly in the sky, and the stars twinkled around it.
“Isn’t it such a beautiful view?” I asked, turning to Dexter, who stood beside me now, but he was only looking at me.
“Yeah, it is.” He said, looking away with a neutral expression; he stared forward with a far-off look in his eye.
We stood in silence for a while. It was a bit awkward for me at first, but after a while, it eventually was relaxing, the sound of the crashing waves, the wind rustling the trees, and the cars driving down the street behind us. It was the Earth's natural symphony, soothed my soul, a good date with my boyfriend, and a relaxing moment on the beach. Sure, our relationship started rockier than most, but it’s not like it was terrible. It was nice being understood and understanding someone wholeheartedly, and I truly hoped that Dexter felt the same. I often wondered what he was thinking. His expressions never gave away more than apathy and faint contentment with life. It didn’t help he rarely talked about how he was feeling, and now that I thought about it, you had no idea how or why he had gotten into serial killing. I wondered if I ever asked if he would tell me, though now didn’t seem like the right place or time. Especially when I wasn't ready to tell him why I’d become the way I am.
I slipped my fingers between Dexters. He glanced at me curiously but didn’t hesitate to lace his with mine. I squeezed his hand, and he smiled a little harder before looking back out at the sea; I rested my head against his shoulder and smiled with a content sigh. He rested his head on mine, and we stood there for a bit longer, but eventually, he pulled us away from the shore and back to the car. He sat in the driver's seat and watched me clean the sand off my feet out the car door as best as possible.
“I know I’ve never said it, but you really are beautiful, " he said as I glanced back at him. I laughed and sat up straight.
“I know.”
★ ✮ ★
Maybe it wasn’t too early to say that I loved Dexter because love is the only logical explanation for why I would ever spend time with Rita. So yeah, it had to be love, I thought as I walked down the aisle, pushing the cart and looking at the items carefully; we were currently in the nearest supermarket, strolling through the baby aisles. In the cart was a variety of baby items; with the baby coming in just three short months, we’d need a lot of things to prepare. It felt weird thinking ‘we’ when this wasn’t really my kid, just my boyfriend’s kid. This whole situation was strange and awkward; I glanced at Rita, who was reading the warnings on a pack of baby bottles. We’d only been here for roughly half an hour, but we hadn’t talked much nor on the ride over. Dexter had asked me to take her as he was busy dealing with something related to his ‘hobby’ that was dipping into his work, and Debra wasn’t available to take her. Why he couldn’t do it at another time was unclear, but I guess it made sense; Rita was showing, and it didn’t look easy. I looked away as she turned around and dropped two packs of baby bottles into the cart, but she didn’t turn away. She just stared at me. I looked back at her, confused and a bit nervous; I mean, what does one say to their boyfriend's pregnant ex-girlfriend?
“I don’t bite, you know. This is as weird for me as it is for you.” I relaxed a bit. It was nice that at least one of us was acknowledging it.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to make this any more awkward than it already is. I have no clue what to say to you.” I said with an awkward laugh, and she awkwardly smiled.
“Yeah, honestly, I don’t understand why Dexter just rescheduled for when he’s actually available. It always bothered me that his mind was just somewhere else, and it’s like he never has time for me.”
“Yeah, even though I know he’s working, it still sucks. It’s easier when I have my own work or projects to distract me.”
“You know that he isn’t actually working, right?” Rita said with a straight face as she held the cart's edge. My heart dropped because Dexter had never mentioned she knew.
“Wh-what do you mean?”
“Oh, don’t tell me you’re that clueless. He’s on drugs. I tried getting him into rehab, but he started banging other girls.” She said pointedly, and I looked away, relaxing a bit, though I would have to ask Dexter about that later.
“Oh… I see, but I’m pretty sure he must’ve kicked the addiction when you sent him away. He’s all good now, I know that at least.” Her expression faltered slightly, and she quickly turned away.
“Whatever helps you sleep at night; I thought so too, and it turns out he was just sleeping with someone else.” I bit my tongue as Rita cradled her growing belly and walked into the next aisle.
“I’m more than sure he learned his lesson after that one, and Dexter isn’t a cheater.”
She glanced back at me, looking me up and down with a sly smile before shrugging, “I’m sure he isn’t sweety.”
I didn’t talk to Rita much after that, but we quickly finished shopping, and I brought her back home. Thankfully, she had a friend who could help her get everything inside; it didn’t make me feel any better that she glared me down the whole time. Like I was some sort of homewrecker, but looking from the outside, I was. I drove home quietly and unlocked my apartment door; I brushed my hair back as I hit the couch, hiding my face in my hands. I hated to admit it, but Rita was right; how could I be sure that Dexter wouldn’t cheat on me as well the second someone new appeared? Rita’s words were eating away at me, and I knew that was precisely what she fucking wanted; the second I drew back and left Dexter, she’ll swoop in and snatch her spot back even after all she said. It irked me cause I knew what she was doing, and it was working; I picked up my phone and scrolled through my contacts until I found his number. I put the phone to my ear as it rang.
And rang… and rang… and rang straight to voicemail. I called one more time, and it went to voicemail immediately. This time, I frowned and texted Dexter to call me back. This definitely wasn’t helping his case at all. I screamed quietly into a throw pillow before hugging it to my chest. I stared out the window of my apartment and out at the darkness of Maimi; it was so calm outside, yet inside, I was losing it. What was Dexter doing right now? It couldn’t be killing because I knew better than anyone that it did not take nearly this long. It wouldn’t have kept him busy throughout the day as he didn’t kill during the day. I felt relieved when there was a knock at my door; I scrambled to the door and quickly opened it. I was met with surprise and confusion as a man I’d never met stood at my door, smiling at me eagerly.
“Uhm, can I help you?”
“You are Dexter’s girlfriend, yes? It’s so lovely to meet you. I’m his best friend.” I quirked and raised my eyebrow as I crossed my arms.
“His best friend since when? He’s never mentioned you to me before.”
“Our friendship has only blossomed for a month or so, but it's stronger than ever. I am Miguel Prado. It’s so lovely to make your acquaintance.” He took my hand, placing a kiss on the back of it, and I wasn't sure how to feel.
“Yes, it’s nice to meet you as well. I assume you aren’t just here to make my acquaintance. Is something wrong with Dexter?”
“No, no, nothing is wrong. Dexter is fine. I was just with him, actually. I just wanted to say hello and invite you out with me and my wife since Dexter seems to have no plans to introduce us.”
“Oh well, isn’t that sweet of you? Of course, I’ll join you and your wife. When and where I’ll be there.”
I invited Miguel in, and we chatted for a bit. He told me how he and Dexter had been buddies for the last few weeks and how close they’d gotten super fast. He went on and on, but eventually, his wife called, and he had to leave. I sent him off with a smile and an address for a barbecue they were having later this week. He also had left me feeling more upset with Dexter than I originally was, so this was where he had been all day and several other days. It was news to me he had made a friend, and I was upset that he never bothered to mention it, simply because I wouldn’t ask, assuming he was out killing. I headed to my bedroom to undress and take a shower; it was what I always did when I was upset, and it, without fail, always made me feel better. Around midnight, Dexter finally called me back, my phone ringing and waking me up from my somewhat peaceful sleep. I sat up, answering it groggily.
“Hello…?” I said, fanning away a yawn.
“Hey, it’s me. I’m outside your apartment. Can I come in?” I looked at my clock and saw the time. I shook my head but got up.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m coming.”
I got up and opened the door. Dexter stepped inside; his brows were furrowed, and he was clearly frustrated. It was not like my expression was any better; it didn’t help I woke up out of my sleep. I just stared at Dexter, waiting for him to say something, anything, an apology for ignoring my call for hours on end with no communication or for showing up at midnight, waking me up out of my sleep, but he said nothing and wrapped his arms around me. I was taken aback but accepted the hug; we stood there silently. I hated to admit it, but I needed that hug; I could tell from his body language Dexter needed it, too. I figured he had a rough day and felt a little less angry, but I still wanted to bring everything up.
“You do know how late it is, Dexter?”
“I know; I’m sorry. I just needed to see you.”
“Why did something happen? I’ve kind of been wondering since you never called or texted me back. I needed to talk to you, especially after you sent me out with Rita.”
“I forgot about that; thank you for doing that for me. I really had some important stuff come up.”
“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about,” I pulled away from the hug and stepped back from Dexter. “What important stuff, Dexter?”
“Just a background check and such, you know, the usual.” He replied as he went and sat down on the couch.
“Oh yeah? You sure it didn’t have anything to do with Miquel Prado?” I had his full attention now, and Dexter’s demeanor changed significantly.
“Were you following me?”
“What? No, he came here earlier to say hi. He says he’s your best friend, which was my first time hearing of him.” He frowned as I joined him on the couch, my body facing him.
“He was my friend if we’re being technical, but now he’s an obstacle. He’s not important; just forget about him.
“Forget about him? You haven’t mentioned him for a month and lied about where you’ve been because you were with him. If we’re being technical, I have every reason to think you’re cheating.”
“It’s not like that, you know that.”
“Do I really? You won’t actually tell me what you were doing; it’s even more suspicious! We don’t get to spend any time together on your days off because you’re catering to all of the supposedly helpless Rita’s whims and needs like a loyal little lap dog. Still, we don’t even get to spend time together in the evenings because you’re running around with your ‘best friend.’ If you won’t make time for me, at least be honest about where you spend it.”
Dexter frowned and stood up, “I’m not some lap dog, and don’t talk about Rita like that. You don’t even know her.”
“I learned enough about her today, and she calls on you so often because she’s still trying to get back with you. How do you not see that?” I said, standing up as well, following him as he walked away from me, shaking his head.
“She’s pregnant. Of course, she needs my help; you’re really overthinking it. I think I should go. I’ll call you later, " he said as he opened the door. I stood there with tears forming in my eyes, but he left and shut the door in my face anyway.
“Everyone sees it but you Dexter!” I said with a huff as he stood at the door, looking back at me. He didn’t reply and shut the door behind him.

Jeddah 2022
Lewis scoffs as he reads the trash article. It was anything but substantial and from a site that was more known for just recirculating already known things in their own words and for the occasional lie to stir up drama.
He had only seen it because he had alerts on his personal phone for her name and he couldn’t help but click on it seeing that it was popping up on an F1 related site. He expected it to be one of those top ten outfit things, he hadn’t expected utter garbage.
He’d know if she was returning to the paddock, he would’ve been told, especially during one of the first few weekends of the new season. The first season since he had won that he won’t have the number one on his car and his jaw clenched at the reminder that he was no longer the current world champion, that he had to stay longer, needed to stay longer. He wanted that eighth championship, and until he got it he was staying, needed to. And this year could be the year, would be the year.
“Have you seen this rubbish?” Lewis asks Toto when he steps out of his driver’s room and into the garage. It’s filled with life as everyone gets ready for the first free practice session. Shouts being heard back and forth. The whirring of tools as mechanics make sure they’re all working and where they should be.
“What rubbish?” His Austrian accent is thick as it wraps around the words.
He glances around, looking for cameras, spotting none, he still lowers his voice. “Y/N,” the name is awkward off his tongue and it makes Toto flinch, no one had called her that, not unless it was for something important, like life or death. “Some blog reported that she’s in Red Bull’s garage.” He laughs.
The taller man stills.
Toto after all these years still wasn’t sure what exactly had happened between Mouse and Lewis. He knew what had happened between Nico and Lewis, had tried to fix it, to patch it up, to stay neutral, but his preference for Lewis had been obvious to Nico and the brotherhood that had been so strong, had spanned so many years, ended quicker than it began as the season drew on and the tension got tighter.
And while he hadn’t managed to play middle man without one of them getting mad, shouting, screaming, storming away like a toddler. Mouse had. She had easily gone between the two men as they both threw fits. He still wasn’t sure how the girl had done it, barely an adult, but dealing with two grown men, but she had and handled it like a champ. Toto had never been allowed to hold Nico’s trophy like Lewis had allowed him to when he had won before, but he knew and had seen how Nico let her hold. As if it was not just his but hers as well.
Toto had expected when the 2017 season started even with Nico, leaving, retiring, for her to come anyways. Had set aside passes for her, made sure that she was in the system to be allowed in despite knowing that she would show up with Lewis, because that’s how it had always been. If she wasn’t showing up with her brother, she was showing up with Lewis. But she was a no show and when he tried to reach out, he was blocked.
She went full no contact with everyone in the racing world and at first Toto had thought that maybe something serious had happened, but she was still posting on her blog, though there was a distinct lack of F1, she just wasn’t talking to him. He could still remember the swell of anger that came over and then the shame that had quickly followed. How he had gone to Lewis to ask if she was alright, if she was mad at him, mad at Mercedes, only for Lewis to flinch, to shake his head. Telling him that he hadn’t heard from her or seen since the day after Nico won his championship. He could still feel the bitterness that rolled off of Lewis’ tongue as he said that none of the Rosberg’s were talking to him.
“It’s not rubbish.” Toto manages to say after a moment, trying to push back the memories, the grief of no longer getting to see Mouse grow up, because god she had just turned twenty-six and the last time he had seen her, she was twenty, still a child in many ways. “She is at Red Bull’s garage.”
“What?”
“She showed up after all the drivers did, waited I think, and made her appearance. Went straight to Red Bull. She had passes.”
“She’s never liked Red Bull.”
“You’ve never liked Red Bull.” Toto corrects.
It was a thing that had frustrated much of the Mercedes team, how despite himself, Nico, and Lewis despising Red Bull, she still liked them, would pop into their garage, chat with their drivers, mechanics, engineers, and such. Toto nearly had an aneurysm the first time he saw her and Horner talking.
“Doesn’t make sense.”
“No it doesn’t.”
“Red Bull, huh? Naughty, naughty girl.” He clicks his tongue.
She rolls her eyes, “You already knew that I was going there.”
He laughs, “Doesn’t mean I can’t tease you about it.”
“Was there a reason you called, Nico?”
“What? I can’t check in on my sister?”
She rolls her eyes again, but grins.
“I just wanted to make sure that nothing happened.”
“Lewis didn’t try to talk to me or at least not that I know of.” It was easy to read between the lines with Nico. “I stayed at Red Bull, in their garage, no one but Red Bull personnel came close to me.”
“And you still want to do this?”
“Yes.” Her voice is soft and she sits on the hotel bed, crossing her ankles. “I’ve missed it, the sport, the paddock, it’s nice to be back.”
“And Mercedes?”
“I have no interest in talking to anyone at Mercedes, past or present. They don’t matter, not anymore.”
“Mouse. You will be careful, yes? I’m not there anymore.”
“Careful as can be.”
Australia 2022
He expects her to be at the next race in Australia and he doesn’t know why. It had been one of the races she was always willing to miss as she hated flying there. Not feeling it was worth it.
So he pretends not to be disappointed when no photos of her arriving popping up, not even whispers of rumors of her sneaking in which he wouldn’t believe in the first place. The idea of her sneaking into a race made him scoff. It wasn’t her, that wasn’t how she operated. He knew her, knew she liked the attention of arriving at the races just like he did. He also pretends that it doesn’t hurt to think about how they used to show up together to races.
Imola 2022
“You’re going to win.” She soothes, rubbing his shoulders and he can’t help but let them drop, let her loosen the tension in them.
“I retired from the last race.”
“And that was the last race.”
He wants to deny it, there’s still that feeling that settles at the bottom of his stomach when he doesn’t win, when he isn’t on the podium, in the points. But it’s lessened as he’s been with her. “And tell me, schat.” He grabs at her hand, gently pulling her until she’s in front of him, standing between his legs. “Will I just win the GP or also the sprint?”
She smiles and he can feel his heartbeat quicken. “Both.” She tells him, resting her hands on his face and letting their lips brush together. “You’ll win both, Max.”
He wins the sprint and then the GP and he’s thankful that she isn’t out with the rest of the team when he’s on the podium, that she stayed in his drivers room, waiting for him. Because he knows that if she had, he would’ve ruined their plans of staying private, secret. He would have kissed her, told her that she did it, she told him he was going to win, so he did. He won both of them for her.
Max does tell her that. He tells her that in between champagne flavored kisses, along with thanks and murmurs of his love against her skin as she sighs and tugs at his nomex.
“I could win every race this season with you supporting me, schat.” His breathing is heavy, he’s in between her thighs, racesuit and nomex just tugged down enough for his dick to be free, ass exposed.
She hadn’t protested, but moaned when he ripped through her tights that she was wearing underneath her skirt, and moaned again when he moved her underwear to the side. Rubbing at her clit to get her wet as he quickly prepped her before sinking into her. He repeats it as he thrusts inside her, high on not the two wins, but on her, on her support, her belief. “You’re my lucky charm.”
She freezes around him, her moans tapering off and he curses as he realizes what he said.
“I’m sorry.” He murmurs, lips against her forehead. “I did not mean.”
“I know.”
She sounds sure, truthful, but her legs that had been tight around him, heels digging into him, have loosened.
“If I don’t win a race that is my fault or the teams. It is not yours.” He tells her.
She nods but doesn’t look at him.
“Schat.” He holds her chin between two fingers, holding eye contact with her. “You are my lucky charm. Not because I think I will win races because of you and your support. Because you make even the races I don’t win feel okay, like I haven’t failed.”
“You haven’t failed.” She immediately says frowning and her legs are tightening back up around him. “You can’t win every race no matter how good luck it looks on you.”
He flushes at her words.
“I know you are different from him. You have shown that already.” She struggles with the next words. “I just don’t think I can handle being called a lucky charm yet.”
“Then I won’t.” He tells her.
She blinks at him, at how easy he said, at simple he’s making it. “But you said.”
“Yes.” He shrugs, shifting his weight and they both hiss at how his body moves from it, both having forgotten that he was still inside her. But he pushes his building arousal away. “But I won’t say it any more. Not if it makes you uncomfortable.”
She stares at him for a few seconds before smiling. “Ik houd van je, Max.”
He smiles back at her, kissing her. “Ik houd van je, schat.”
He goes to pull out, unable to ignore the arousal building in him anymore, but not wanting her to feel like they need to have sex, but her heels are pressing into him, thighs tightening around him.
“Fuck me, Max.”
He says her name, quiet and with wide eyes.
She moves her hips and he follows them with a snap of his own. “You won two races.” She murmurs, breathing tickling his lips before she’s placing her lips on his jaw, moving them down to his neck. “Fuck me, Max. I want you to. Want to celebrate with you like this.”
She’s sucking a mark into his skin and he’s choking down a groan. “Just us two, our own quick celebration before you have to go with your team. Before I’m left all alone in our hotel room.”
He starts to thrust again, pressing his lips against hers before she can say anything else, before he really leaves any earlier than he was already planning to at the dinner celebration the team was holding.
As he continues to thrust into her, his lips stay against hers, muffling both of their sounds, but as he feels his balls tightening, he breaks them apart, pressing her face into his neck, encouraging her to bite at him as his other hand goes between their bodies, to her clit.
The bite of hers against his collarbone when she clenches around him, cumming, has him hissing. He stills his hips as she comes down from her orgasm, still rubbing at her clit, but more gently.
“Where do you want it?” He asks, when she bats his hand away from her and presses for him to continue to rock into her body. His orgasm is quickly approaching and really he should be pulling out, just finish in his own hand in case he finishes inside her before she says it’s okay. But she’s tight and warm and feels too good. “Do you want it in your mouth? Want me to pull out? Finish in my hand, feed it to you?”
She moans at his words, at the thing they’ve done once before.
“Or do you want me to leave you something? Cum inside you and have you feel it drip out, go back to the hotel with just your underwear stopping it from dripping down your leg and ruining your tights.”
“Inside Max. Please, inside me.”
He groans at her words, hips speeding up. He only manages a few solid thrusts before he’s shuddering, pressing as close as he can as cums inside her, muffling a moan against her shoulder.
His hips twitch a little in the aftershocks of his orgasm as he pants against her shoulder.
“You’re going to kill me.”
“With what?” She laughs. “Orgasms?”
“With your dirty little mind.” He tells her, slowly pulling out, rubbing at her thighs as he does.
She laughs again and he smiles at how her whole face lights up.
Miami 2023
It’s Miami. It’s extravagant. It’s the first race at the new circuit. It’s her.
She’s dressed in a soft color, bringing out her eyes. She’s wearing the bracelet he gave her when she turned fourteen, the ring her father gave her that once belonged to her grandmother. She’s not wearing the necklace he gave her when she turned eighteen. It’s back in Monaco, still sitting on the nightstand of what’s still her side of the bed.
She has new bracelets, rings, and a new necklace. The necklace makes his jaw clench, fists tighten. He had never thought to consider that maybe she’d be with someone else after all these years. He hadn’t, not for anything more than one night.
Lewis stares at the clasp of her necklace. Wonders if it’s worth anywhere near what he gave her. Wonders who gave it to her. Some boy with a trust fund? Some guy that managed to make it to the top not because of hard work but because of connections?
He doesn’t know and it burns alongside the anger. He used to know nearly everything about her and he still knows her, he just doesn’t know the new things and that hurts worse than not knowing her at all anymore.
He watches as Geri fixes the necklace for her and wonders when exactly she got so close to Horner’s wife. “Where exactly did you get this darling?”
She glows at the name, “From a jeweler that Nico loves. I can never remember the name.”
The burning inside him vanishes at his name. Something had changed, he knew something new about her. Necklaces were no longer just things she wore from significant others.
Spain 2022
He cocks an eyebrow as George comes up to him nervously, messing with his hands. “You alright?”
“Yeah, I just heard a weird rumor.” His eyes dart away and George hates that Toto is making him do this but doesn’t want to think about why, can feel the headache from just imagining thinking about the why.
“What did you hear?”
“Apparently, Y/N Rosberg,” Lewis stills at her name and curiosity clutches at George before he pushes down and away. “got snuck into the Red Bull garage.”
The older man immediately scoffs. “Yeah, right. She likes arriving at the races.”
He raises his hands, “that’s just what I heard.”
“Well, it’s wrong. A shit rumor. Anyone who knows Mouse,” the nickname leaves his mouth before he can think, can stop it, “knows that she loves arriving on a race weekend, all the cameras, getting to show off whatever outfit she put together.”
“Just what I heard, mate.” George repeats, before quickly retreating, cursing Toto out underneath his breath as soon as he rounds the corner and is far away from Lewis.
Monaco 2022
She’s not at Monaco. She’s not at Monaco.
The words are on repeat in his head. He doesn’t understand it. She lived here or maybe had lived here. Monaco was small, it was hard to imagine that he had never run into her since the end of 2016 but then again he managed to dodge him. So it was possible.
He just didn’t like the idea of it. That if she still lived here that she had made sure to dodge him, to make sure they never ran into each other.
Austria 2022
She doesn’t show up at Baku, her favorite circuit, Montreal, or Silverstone, but she’s here at Austria. He can’t make sense of why she’s showing up at the races she is. Can’t make sense of why it’s only Red Bull’s garage that she visits.
It’s driving him insane trying to make sense of it. Just like he can’t make sense of another rumor that she sneaked into watch the race in Baku. This one hadn’t been quiet though from George. It had made its run on twitter and instagram, though most fans of hers just like him, knew that they were false. Her blog was still full of talking about how much she loved showing up at race weekends, feeling the energy, interacting with fans, even if they were years old. It was telling that she never deleted them. And he knew that she’d never sneak into a race.
July 2015
“Lew?” Her voice is quiet, barely a whisper, as if she’s afraid he fell asleep.
He makes a humming noise, keeping his eyes closed but pressing his fingers a bit more into her back as they dance along her spine.
“When do you stop?”
He frowns at the vague question, eyes blinking open. “Stop what?”
“When did you stop seeing me as Nico’s sister? As a kid?”
His fingers pause as he thinks about her questions, wonders if he really wants to tell her, really wants her to know. He takes a deep breath, in and out of the nose before letting his fingers continue to dance. “As Nico’s sister? Probably around 2011 and Nico wasn’t hiding you away from everyone as much. I still see you a bit as his sister, don’t know if that will ever change.”
She nods, “and as a kid?”
“December 2013.” He’s just happy that he doesn’t remember the day. “Nicole and I joined Nico, Viv and you on that yacht.”
She makes a humming noise, curling closer to him.
“Nicole noticed actually.” And he has to chuckle remembering his then girlfriend’s reaction. “She hadn’t seen you for a few months and had never seen you like that. Told me that I’d have to help Nico out with keeping guys like us away from you.”
She huffs out a laugh, but doesn’t say anything, sensing that he’s not done.
“She said that and I looked and suddenly you weren’t five years old content only in Nico’s arms, or ten crying because Keke and Nico were leaving without you again. You had grown and you were fucking gorgeous.”
She stares at him, unsure of what to make of what he just told her. Not sure how she felt that it was Nicole that had made him realize that she wasn’t a little girl anymore. “You know,” she starts. “I had boobs way before I was seventeen.”
Lewis sputters out a laugh and she laughs as well. “Well, I wasn’t looking.”
She shakes her head, before tucking it into the crook of his neck. “No, just waited until I was a month away from being legal.”
“Yeah and I waited longer to do anything about it.”
“Not that much longer.” She mumbles, grinning against his skin when he pinches at her.
Spa 2022
They’re making a statement, not one that says much, her prior years coming to so many races and being friendly with drivers preventing that, but it’s still a statement.
It’s the second race since she’s returned instead of arriving before all the drivers or after when making an appearance in front of the cameras that she arrives when they are. More importantly she’s arrived with Max. She’s not on his arm or holding his hand, there’s a well kept distance between them. One that reads friendly, close, but not intimate. She wasn’t quite ready to go public with him, but she was willing to make it known that she and Max were friendly with each other.
“It’s nice having you here.”
She smiles at Sophie, taking her eyes briefly off the little boy in her arms. “It’s nice being here.”
The couch sinks next to her and she leans into Max as he wraps an arm around her shoulder, dropping a kiss to her temple. “Looks good on you.” He murmurs, smiling at his nephew in her arms.
“A baby? Or a baby that looks identical to you?”
“Well I’d much prefer one that looks like both of us.”
She sends him a look, but can’t not smile at his words. “Sap.”
“Just for you.”
Two days later she sits in a garage for the first time in years during a race and she remembers how much she loves it. There was nothing better than watching a race from the garage.
She watches as Max manages to recover from his grid penalty, making his way through the field and winning the race and she cheers with the rest of the garage, hugs everyone she can reach. As everyone runs out to greet Max, to watch as he celebrates his win, she stays.
Max didn’t have any impulse control when high on adrenaline, she knew exactly what would happen if she went out there with him, so she went back to his driver’s room and waits for him.
Dutch 2023
“Mouse!” Lewis calls and he watches as she stills while Horner stiffens at the name. It makes him itch. Horner and the rest of Red Bull had always been the odd ones out, never calling her Mouse, but rather her name or girly, the last she took a shining to.
He could still remember the first time they had heard Horner call her that. He had been ready to punch him, but she had beamed at the team principal, jumping up to give him a hug and asking him about his wife.
“Lewis.” Her voice is cool and he nearly flinches at her calling him Lewis. He had never been Lewis to her, always Lew.
“How have you been? It’s been awhile.” Nearly six years, he thinks but doesn’t say.
“Good. So has Nico.”
He flinches at his name. “Good.” His voice is quiet. “That’s good.”
Horner wraps an arm around her shoulders, “Let’s go. We’re going to be late.”
She nods and doesn’t even glance at him as she and Horner walk away, leaving him looking after her with despair and grief threatening to swallow him whole.
Japan 2022
He watches as she looks at Max with tears in her eyes as the Red Bull crew cheer as Max gives his post race interview, smiling as he thanks the fans, smiling because he won his second championship.
As soon as the interview is done, he’s launching himself back into the arms of the Red Bull crew, they all easily take his weight, patting him on the back, cheering for him. And then he watches when as soon as they release him, Max sees her. His eyes going wide with surprise at seeing her.
Lewis watches as she leans as far over the barrier as she can, wrapping her arms around his neck as his go around her waist to hold her. He watches but nothing prepares him for what happens next, the pain that strikes his heart. Because suddenly she’s kissing him, tears running down her face and Max is kissing her back like he’s done it a hundred times.
He doesn’t hear it or see it, but one of Red Bull’s cameras does and it makes it into their video to celebrate Max winning his second championship. Her saying that she’s so proud of him, never been prouder, and that she loves him and the easy way Max says it back, no hesitation.
It’s that, not her kissing Max in front of seemingly the whole world, that makes him realize that the future he had imagined, the image of her that was still the nineteen year old girl he fell in love with, is gone and has been since the night that Nico won his championship and when she came to comfort him, he only had harsh and degrading words for her.
They never could have been together again after his accusations of her feeding Nico information, blaming her for his lack of winning because she wasn’t supportive enough, his accusation of the lucky charm she was supposed to be was nothing but bad luck just like she was and always had been.
He had deluded himself into thinking that they still would end up together, that her being the love of his life, meant that he was also hers. He’s deluded himself for almost six years and now it’s not just heartbreak that fills him but shame and guilt. Because how could he have ever thought she’d want to be with him again when he never even tried to offer her an apology or to tell anyone about her.

You arrive early, per usual, to make sure you have time for every fan, and maybe to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift, who will be singing the national anthem today.
Your phone call with Seb last night quickly turned into him and Hanna knocking on your hotel room door and enveloping you in their arms. You fell asleep between the two of them, a comfort show playing on low volume in the background.
You hate that it caught you off guard. A small, stupid part of you actually believed that your family - your mother - could love you like they - like she- was meant to.
It was supposed to be fun. You dressed up, treated them to one of the nicest restaurants in Austin. The second they arrived, though, it all turned to shit.
At least your fans are majorly little girls and they couldn’t care less if you’re having widely photographed, public arguments with your older brother after a family dinner turned sour.
Miraculously, you get into the paddock unscathed by prying questions into your personal life. You just get set up in your drivers room for Qualifying and try to put it all behind you. You don’t see Taylor, and unlike any other day, you don’t have the energy to face the paddock.
As you rearrange your hangers for the hundredth time, there’s a knock on your door. You sigh. Most of the team knows that you like your private time before any event, especially your first home race.
“Yeah?”
The door opens slowly. It’s Lewis. Since the beginning of the season, your relationship with him has definitely developed. He’s good friends with Seb and you have a sneaking suspicion that he has told Lewis to keep an eye on you where Seb can’t. He’s become a sort of mentor-slash-friend and you couldn’t be happier, especially since you’ve both signed on for another few years at Mercedes.
“Hey.”
“Hey,” you say.
Lewis sent me this.
“Did you hear about Taylor Swift?” You exclaim. “How cool is that?”
He grants you a trademark half-smile.
“Consider it a belated birthday gift.”
You eyes widen and your mouth drips open.
“It was you?”
He shrugs.
“It wasn’t very hard to convince her.”
You hurry over to him, hesitate for a second, then hug him gently. You’ve never hugged him in a normal setting. You break off of him and stand there, not quite knowing what to say next.
“Home race,” He says awkwardly. Lewis is hardly ever awkward. “Big deal.”
“Yeah.” You don’t mean to sound annoyed. Or tired. Or defeated.
“Family coming? I’d like to meet them. I don’t think I have, yet. “
That’s true. Your mother has been to two Grand Prix since the start of the season and your father and brother one, respectively. They’re busy people, but after last night, some part of you wonders if your mother intentionally schedules conflicts so that they can never make it.
That’s stupid, she says in your head. We love you. You’re the one who makes this whole thing impossible.
When they have shown up, you’ve kept them as far away as possible from cameras, and Lewis draws every camera in every room he steps foot in. Maybe your brother is right. Maybe you hide them because of some secret shame you hold for them. The only thing you’re ashamed of is how complicated your relationship with your family is.
“No. I-“
What?
Sent them home?
Told them to never show their faces around the paddock again?
Cried into Seb’s chest all of last night wishing I was dead because of how horrible they make me feel?
“Couldn’t deal with them today,” you say decisively. The media might see you as a stone cold bitch, so why not Lewis, too.
“They’re your family.”
“They hate me,” you whisper, turning back you your hangers. You’ve never said it out loud. Not to Max or Charles, not even to Hanna last night when she was helping you wash your face through swollen eyes and a runny nose.
“I’m sure they don’t-“
“You’ve never met them. My mom hates me. She loathes me and for the life of me I can’t figure out why. I have given her everything and she still don’t bring herself to even like me a little bit. The rest this I’m too independent, too liberal, not liberal enough, too opinionated, too young, too smart, whatever. My dad and his side wish I went to university and my mom’s side tries to chase the fame. It sucks. It didn’t use to be like this, but it is now.”
You spare a glance back at him. He’s wide- eyed. This is probably the most he’s heard you talk without cracking a joke or bursting out laughing.
“Have you told Seb? Or… Max, Charles?”
“Seb, yes. Max would order a hit on my entire family if I told him this type of thing and Charles would hide the evidence.”
What you told Charles at Christmas, he didn’t acknowledge then and there, but he was noticeably cold to your mother when you brought her to see him.
Lewis studied you, then a look dawns on his face. It’s a mix of dread and fury, but he schools it quickly.
“Y/n,” He says in a very serious tone. “Don’t lie to me.”
Your brow furrows.
“Do they - does your mother or your father hit you?”
It wasn’t the question you’d expected, but it still makes your blood turn cold.
You think for a second, contemplate his expression, run the risks of him exploding if you tell him the truth.
“No…” you trail off. “Once. I made her mad when I was fifteen and-“ you raise your own hand and slap your face. “Never after though.”
She cried into your shoulder for hours after, telling you just how sorry she was, how she would never dream of laying another violent hand on you again.
Lewis’s mouth opens then closes. You purse your lips.
“I don’t need my family,” you whisper. “And I don’t need you to worry about me. I’m fine.”
He gives you a look, one that says:
There’s no way in hell I believe you.

The video starts with the camera fixed on a very angry - looking Y/n. Her brow is set and her mouth is distorted in a flat line, which of course, is to be expected. She was obviously off her usual top-five worthy game today and has earned herself a starting position of P20.
The interviewer asks her a series of questions that she responds to very flatly and emotionlessly, so much so that her press officer elbows her in the side more than once to get an actual, genuinely not sarcastic answer out of her.
And then -
“Do you think your family issues are the reason you’ve performed so miserably today?”
She stops. Pauses, opens her mouth then closes it again.
“That,” she drags out bitingly. “was an incredibly stupid and insensitive question. Every question you’ve asked me today has been either completely patronizing or borderline inappropriate.”
She shoots a look at her press officer, shakes her head slightly, then leans into the microphone.
“You’ll understand why we’re choosing to cut this interview short.”
And then she turns and leaves the media pen.

True to his word, Max knocks on your door. You get up from the spot you’ve been staring out the window and open it.
He’s dressed up, ready to go out drinking, you suppose. You’ve changed into your pajamas and tied your hair up sloppily.
He arches his eyebrows.
“Ready to celebrate?”
You shrug.
“Not really in the mood. Plus I can’t drink here. You go ahead, tell the team to send me the bill and I’ll pick it up.”
You go to close the door then. He kicks his foot between the door and the doorframe.
“Come out. It could still be fun,” He offers. “It’s your home race. I’d be happy if I won at spa.”
He raised his eyes brows at you and you look down guiltily. You should be happy. You’ve broken a record of some kind, you’re pretty sure, and every other driver dreams of winning his home race.
“You’d be happy because your family would be there to see it,” you say bitterly. “Because then you’d be able to prove to them it wasn’t all for nothing. That you’re not selfish or - or something.”
Max closes the door when he hears your voice tremor. There’s a hard concern in his eyes.
“Go, Max. You should celebrate.”
“I don’t want to anymore.”
You look him up and down. He’s gelled his hair and put on a non redbull shirt. Obviously he’s gearing up for a big night of celebrating.
“Tell me,” He says. “You can talk to me. I’m not a stranger to family issues.”
You scoff and flop onto your bed.
“It’s not a big deal.”
“You love partying. It’s a big deal.”
It’s quiet, except for his slightly heavy breathing. Here’s Mad Max Verstappen, standing at the foot of your bed begging you to confide in him with his eyes. His big, sad, droopy eyes.
You cover your face with the your arm.
“I can’t believe they actually left,” you choke out. “I told them to go and they just … left. The first time my entire family could muster up the time and effort to spend an entire weekend supporting me and they decide to just go home.”
Max moves towards you, hesitates, then settles himself on the floor next to your bedside table.
“Why?”
You huff.
“I don’t know. I push them away. I get on my mom’s nerves. I try too hard to impress my dad. Did you know,” you take a deep breath. “Did you know my mother hasn’t told me good night or I love you in five years?”
He sits and stares out the window.
“Why doesn’t she love me, Max?”
It comes out more pathetic than you wanted it to. Max is probably one of the only people who might get it, just a little.
“Schat…” he trails off. “I don’t know.”
Max is two years older than you. Sometimes those two years feel like a lifetime. You wish he was a lifetime older than you so he would know.
“Maybe…” He trails off. “Fuck. Maybe some people just aren’t made to be parents.”
You squeeze your eyes shut to try and push down the sobs building in your chest. Max, thankfully, doesn’t react when you let out a soft gasp and sniff wetly. He just sits there and stares out the window
Eventually, you curl up in your bed and Max sits a on the other side (on top of the covers, a safe two feet away) and turn on Star wars (The prequels - he’s a huge nerd, surprise, surprise).
Maybe some people aren’t made to be parents.
Maybe some people aren’t made to be daughters.

f175 recap:
cos we're doing this again!
Top 11 moments (good and bad, cos honestly my thoughts are too scattered rn for any sorting system):
LEWIS AND CHARLES AND FRED AND FERRARI - the car looked great, no notes, lewis absolutely beaming in red was wonderful, i loved that charles like straight up announced his intent to win a wdc this year, and am willing to sacrifice, pray, voodoo, etc to make it happen
THE FIA GETTING BOOED. AGAIN, EVERY FAN WHO WENT TO F175 WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THE BOO IS A FUCKING LEGEND. F1 history was made fr.
gordon ramsey coming out in support of drivers swearing, subsequently you can watch him make the CONSCIOUS decision to swear, and then his mic getting cut. pure cinema. gordon ramsey is an incredible icon.
lando norris pr, you continue your success story. he was a great spokesperson for mclaren today, and honestly i think he can stop pointing out his point deficit to max now as he gets ready for this new season. for better or for worse, he WAS P2 last year, and in his first ever truly competitive season. mclaren got a lot of the strategy right, and lando learned a lot. he can stand to be more assertive as he gears up for the season.
mercedes. if your 'special moment' for the livery reveal was gonna be a pitstop. it had to be a good pitstop. unfortunately. it was not. so it was just kinda awkward.
BUT mercedes redemption arc, the family reunion on the red carpet with lewis was super adorable
VCARB intro video was legitimately funny. would have loved to see the driver's reactions to that.
alpine dj was...just really weird. kept panning to old retired drivers and just other miscellaneous senior citizens who looked like edm might put them into an early grave.
ollie bearman!!! that's it that's the tweet
mattia binotto fucking jumpscare. every time i see this man i panic. 2022 comes rushing back. charles leclerc must have legal permission to kick this man in the shins. he keeps haunting the narrative like a weird undead clown
real question, what kind of absolute blackmail does max have on christian that he did not have to answer the inane bs questions on stage. just showed up, waved and left! like an icon. followup, why tf did they surround the red bull car with like thirty twink breakdancers??
Honorable mention: holy YAP christian horner how did you spend three minutes of live airtime on the rolling stones???
key takeaways: it was honestly fucking fun. you had to turn your brain off and just let yourself enjoy it, taking it too seriously ruins the whole thing. gave strong hunger games vibes but still, was a cute way to kick off the season for sure. hope they don't do this every year but for the occasion it was def worth the effort.

Charles develops a new nickname, but it's not for you. (wolff!reader)
auds here... i love u anon and i hope its okay that i did not write angst into this!!! i needed a feel good thing to get the trope going. listened to this a lot while writing, one of my favorite cutesy love songs ever!
“There’s peach and apple,” you say over the phone, inspecting the juice box flavors in the well-stocked fridge of the Mercedes motorhome. Apparently, over at Ferrari, the supply is running dry, a report generously provided to you by your boyfriend.
“Is there lemon?” You two have the same favorite. You rifle through the stock and find a lone lemon flavor collecting frost at the back of the pile.
“None.” You say, clearing your throat. “Come on, man. Peach and apple.”
He makes a noise of suspicion, but gives in. “Peach then.”
“Okay.” You tuck your phone in-between your ear and shoulder and collect multiple to find the coldest one, an accompaniment to the heat this weekend; your call is cut short when your dad walks in, eyebrows set in a straight line of contemplation.
They raise when he spots you harboring a bunch of peach juice boxes. “Gotta go, bye,” you add in a rushed whisper, and he says a quick see you thanks before hanging up.
“Dad,” you say casually. You raise one of the six boxes in your hand. “Juice?”
“Is there lemon left?”
“No luck. Peach and apple,” you say sweetly.
“I’ll have apple. Listen, I’m going to a principal’s meeting using your scooter.”
You toss him a box. “Okay. Stay safe,” you respond, letting him pull you into a one-armed hug. “There’s too many people in the centre so I’ve been scootering behind motorhomes to get to places faster. Might help.”
“Okay, spatzi,” he says, punching a straw into the box and departing. This signals a greenlight for you to call Charles again—despite your best mutual efforts, you’ve both been almost caught calling or being near each other by your dad. And, in the words of your lovely boyfriend, he’s not yet ready to die. But the hiding is worth it; after all, it’s hiding from the public, which you both wanted from the get go, and your dad. Your mum and several friends know, which makes the lying ease up a little bit.
He picks up in the middle of the first ring. “Hey. Got my juice?”
“Yeah. Back door.” A routine crafted over years of knowing each other—first as friends, then as lovers—serves you well, a rushed meeting at the back door of a garage or motorhome to discuss date night plans or to hand over a gift or plate of food. In this case, it’s a juice box, half-tossed in your rush to not be spotted by one of your dad’s friends.
And, as always, he blows you a kiss as you close the door.
Four sips into his peach juice, Charles sneaks past the Mercedes motorhome and moves back to Ferrari, but not without spotting a mess of long limbs on the ground beside a forgotten scooter. Upon closer inspection, his suspicion of it being a deranged superfan is rejected—it’s Toto Wolff.
“I must have tripped on a wire,” Toto grunts, eyes scanning the ground. He meets Charles’ eyes.
“Let me help you,” Charles says, immediately offering a hand and pulling. The guy is jacked, so he exerts a bit more effort than he’s willing to admit; the job gets done nonetheless, so potato-potahto, really.
“Thank you,” wheezes Toto, sitting up, all six feet five of him, “son.”
Charles is slack mouthed. Oh my God. Son???? “You are welcome, so welcome,” he responds kindly, despite the awkward tension. “Um, Papa.”
Toto pauses his ascent and stares pointedly before shaking his head. “I… must go.”
“Well, drive safe. Watch the roads. And all.” Charles says, laughing sheepishly. “Toto. Watch the roads, and all, Toto.” He emphasizes, like that takes back the fact that he called the big boss Papa just ten seconds ago. He chews at the straw of the peach juice, gnawing nervously.
“I will. Thanks again.” He falls quiet, staring. Then a knobby finger points to the juice box, waving back and forth in-between the juice box in the garbage bin a few metres away. “They’re… your juice box… is that from the Mercedes… motorhome?”
“No,” lies Charles with unrivaled stiffness.
“It is a German brand we special order for my daughter.”
“No—see, I am very into German juice.” He ignores the way it sounds like a euphemism. “What’s that? My phone is now ringing. Okay. D’accord. Au revoir.” He walks away as he makes up additional excuses, not missing Toto’s laser stare that seems to permeate through walls and asphalt, finding reprieve only when he’s back in his room.
He chucks the juice box into the nearest bin and prays to all the gods.
Charles ends up getting P1. He’s surrounded by whoops and cheers and receives a very solemn “good effort” nod from Toto across the paddock, which he feels cements his apology and effectively keeps your relationship hidden. He’s handled it well. For once, he’s the mature crisis handler in the relationship, and you don’t need to know about any of this, you really don’t.
You congratulate him at the back door like always, when he’s on the way to the parking lot.
A kiss to his cheek. Then: “I have something to ask.”
“What’s that, darling?”
“Did you, um. Call my dad Papa?”
He presses a palm to his mouth in a very Charles-esque overdramatic way. “Oh my God, he told you?!”
“Oh my God, it’s true?!” You detect the volume in your voice and usher yourself out, quietly shutting the door before facing him again. You raise your eyebrows.
Your boyfriend, your adorably aloof boyfriend, just sputters. “Well—he called me son!”
“Yeah, because he’s old! Old people do that.” You gesticulate wildly “I can’t believe you called him Papa.”
“I can’t believe he told you.”
“I can’t believe you both thought I did not know,” comes a voice from the door that is, unfortunately, not Lewis’ or George’s or yours or Charles’.
The door swings open and there your dad stands, eyebrows raised quizzically, windbreaker-clad arms crossed over his chest. “Charles, I know you don’t ‘like German juice.’ Spatzi, I know you don’t ‘enjoy exploring Monaco hotels by yourself.’” Stoically, he raises air quotes.
“… Sorry?” You offer, smile sweet.
“It’s okay.” He allows a small, warm smile directed to you. “I’ve known a while now.”
“Sorry, Toto,” Charles says profusely, visibly anxious.
The smile chills. Your dad just nods, waving him off. “Cool down on the Papa, though, Leclerc.”

Headcanons: Cuddling with the Arcana Men
A/N: I love obsessing over a dead fandom, don't you? anyways, arcana time let's do thissssss (and yes, I am aware Asra is nonbinary, I just didn't know how else to address this group with them in it, so I figured men was the most appropriate seeing that Asra will use he/him pronouns on occasion but in the actual headcanons, I use they/them)
Word Count:599
Warnings: none just fluff :)
Asra:
Tumblr media
Laying down and cuddling with Asra is always enjoyable!
They'll light up some colorful lanterns before hand and make sure your bed has any pillows and blankets you may want or need.
Once you're all settled down, Asra will scooch in closer just so they can feel the warmth that emanates from you.
They will tell you fantastical stories, using their magic to create scenes in midair as a way to entertain you as you smile up at them with an amused grin.
As you cling onto them, they smell like the most intoxicating combination of tea leaves and cinnamon, which can be very soothing if you've had a bit of a rough afternoon.
They will soak up any and all attention you give and will reciprocate that love tenfold as they squeeze you tightly to their chest.
Their favorite times are when the two of you have nothing to do so they can spend the entire day just relaxing with you in the calming silence of the shop.
Julian:
Tumblr media
Julian is a lil bit awkward to cuddle with in the beginning.
He's just so damn tall that sometimes his limbs are a little odd to maneuver around.
But once you two figure out the positioning, he's a great cuddler!
After a long day at the marketplace or a fun night at the Rowdy Raven, it's so relaxing to lean up against his chest and listen to his heartbeat.
He loves to trace shapes across your skin as you two enjoy the peaceful quiet of your room.
Sometimes, he'll even sing you soft songs as you drift in and out of consciousness.
Also, If he falls asleep while you are cuddling, you are not getting up for the rest day. I'm not sorry to say you are now stuck in a bear hug with a very handsome doctor.
Muriel:
Tumblr media
Cuddling with Muriel is just so nice!
Once he gets over his initial apprehension, he will melt into it like its second nature.
He's always so warm and cozy which is perfect for cold nights in the Vesuvian forest.
If you ask him to, he will hold you so close and never let go for as long as you so want.
And if you're having a bad day, he'll hold you just slightly tighter as a way to reassure you that he's there for whatever you need from him.
Muriel will also pat the bed beside the two of you so that Inanna will jump up and snuggle with you two.
As you wrap your arms around her, Muriel will engulf the both of you in his, creating the perfect cuddle puddle and optimal nap conditions.
Lucio:
Tumblr media
Lucio will designate entire days dedicated to the two of you just spending time together in your home.
He also is always sure to take off his prosthetic so that you are as comfortable as possible.
As he holds you in his embrace, he will regale you with stories from his younger, wilder days, which leads you to giggle at his dramaticness.
On the days where he's a bit more subdued, he will invite you to lay directly on top of him while he just leans back and relishes in the moment.
Just like with Muriel and Inanna, Lucio's dogs will also join the two of you while you're chilling together!
Mercedes will lay next to you while Melchior will lay next to the former count on the opposite site of the mattress.
This leads to a chaotic but comforting tangle of appendages where you are able to let go of the stresses of the everyday.

I believe in you ~ Lewis Hamilton
Tumblr media
Lewis turns up at your workplace...9 years later. You both realise your feelings are unchanged.
Preview ~
Lewis leaned forward, placing his elbow on the desk and resting his head on his palm.
His face had matured; still young and youthful, yet somehow he exerted confidence, charisma, surety.
Your eyes met and neither broke contact first, his big brown orbs staring straight into your own.
"I could get lost in your eyes. For hours on end."
Word Count: 1.7k
Genre: mystery, angst, sparks flying, fluff
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sau Paulo Grand Prix - 2021:
The silence in the room was deafening. Air thick and heavy, weighing down upon you mercilessly. Lewis sat across from you at your office desk, his eyes glaring intently on your FIA Legal Consultant name plaque. If he stared any longer, it seemed the glass would burn up in flames from such a stare.
Lewis’ legal representative sat beside him, shoulders high and squared as if preparing to fight with you. His appearance was demeaning, shirt buttoned right to the top, his thick neck, plump, red and threatening to burst. Tom Priestley wore a grubby smile on his face - sinister and cold.
So much for cooperation.
You resisted the urge to sink into the ground and call it a day.
Clearing your throat you drew in a long, slow breath.
Stay calm. Stay level-headed. Stay powerful.
“Once again Mr Hamilton, I ask for your cooperation, that’ll make this meeting much easier for both of us.”
Since the moment he’d stepped into your office, Lewis had not looked you in the eye once. His head remained lowered, his gaze finding new objects to focus on. Not that you were surprised. It was your first meeting since that had happened.
He hadn't said a single word either, Priestley interjecting for him wherever possible.
“We see no reason to cooperate with you. In any case, my client, Mr Hamilton, is the victim here.”
If you had a baseball bat handy, Priestley's head would be your first target.
You shot him a glare and you could’ve sworn he jumped a little, before clearing his throat. When Priestley opened his mouth again, his tone was rushed, voice slightly squeaky.
“As we’ve mentioned before, the Mercedes car was always built within regulation. To even dare to insinuate otherwise is an absolute farce of a-”
You cut his pitiful rambling off, keeping your tone stern. Your eyes remained trained on Lewis, seeking some kind of response.
“I have no intention to indict Mr Hamilton, or the team. I am here to clear Mr Hamilton from untruthful claims.” You let your words fall powerfully.
You saw Lewis shift his gaze to you for a fleeting moment, looking away as soon as your eyes made contact. He turned to Priestley. “It’s alright Tom.” You’d never expected his voice to be so… lacking in energy. It was quiet. Uncertain.
You saw the pitiful lawyer’s face fall. He looked shocked, destroyed almost, at being asked to leave, but he rummaged his things together and took off from your office, muttering words of distaste that you didn’t bother deciphering.
Tapping the intercom button on your desk phone you reached for your secretary, “Show Mr Priestley the envelope we prepared for him. I’m sure he’ll opt to wait in the car after seeing the contents.”
It was Lewis’ response that made you shoot your head back in his direction. The first time he’d spoken. Unlike what you’d expected there was no malice in his voice. No long lasting hatred.
“Did you just threaten my lawyer?”
Amusement. A suppressed chuckle lay beneath his words and a flood of relief passed through you.
“Well technically I made a fair deal.” You shrugged your shoulders upwards, allowing a small smile to rest on your face.
9 years on and his presence was still the same; warm. The awkward air had shifted - all from his one sentence. The effect Lewis had, was powerful.
The driver’s shoulders visibly relaxed, he raised an eyebrow, “Is that what you’re going to do with me? Make a deal?”
You shook your head, turning away from your laptop screen to look straight at the driver.
“No. I’m going to get to the bottom of this investigation. I’m on your side Mr Hamilton.”
Lewis leaned forward, placing his elbow on the desk and resting his head on his palm.
He seemed so much closer, so much more in reach. You subconsciously found yourself tilting your head forward, taking a better look at how much he’d changed.
His face had matured; still young and youthful, yet somehow he exerted confidence, charisma, surety.
Your eyes met and neither broke contact first, his big brown orbs staring straight into your own.
I could get lost in your eyes. For hours on end.
They were so welcoming. So friendly. In that moment, you realised just how much you’d missed Lewis.
9 years ago, both rookies in your respected positions. He’d just joined Mercedes and you’d been assigned as his press manager. At his side for every interview, every press conference, every media event; behind the camera where only he could see you.
Before the accusations came thundering down.
You pushed the thought away, blinking and breaking contact with Lewis’ eyes.
Clearing your throat you focused back onto your screen, “I just need you to answer a few questions for me, then you’re free to go.”
“Hmm?” He was unfocused, his gaze still piercing into you, and you felt your cheeks heat up.
“Mr Hamilton. The case.”
“Oh right, yeah, fire away.” He looked like he’d just woken up, off guard.
You gave a curt nod of your head, before taking on the task at hand.
------------------------------------------------------------
30 minutes in and you’d finished a full official statement from Lewis’ perspective on his rear wing meeting FIA standards.
“So, do you think we’ll be penalised?”
Lewis had been lit with a different passion in that crucial half hour, eager to prove himself innocent of breaching race guidelines.
You scanned your documents before looking up to Lewis. His eyes were wide open, eager. Desperate. “I can race right?”
“I can't control the outcome Mr Hamilton.” His face fell, eyes dulling immediately. This really meant the world to him.
“But I promise you, you will be in that race. I will do everything in my power to get you in the Brazilian GP.”
He looked slightly more hopeful, yet sceptical, the doubt dancing across his mind.
“You sure?” His voice seemed to have dropped.
“You will be in that race, or I will quit this job.”
Your statement exuded a deep chuckle from Lewis, the corners of his eyes creasing as he grinned wide. “As dramatic as ever.”
That earned him an eyeroll. Just like it used to be.
The diffused tension was calming, making you reminiscent of old days. The ones you now so eagerly missed. “If I get on that podium, dinner is on me.”
You raised your eyebrows, letting your lips curl into a smirk. “You get first place and I’ll consider the offer.”
Lewis’ eyes shone playfully, his head nodding as he considered your response.
“Damn you really do know how to make these deals.”
There was laughter filling your office - hearty and playful. You still couldn’t believe how much he’d grown into a fine gentleman, from his appearance to his aura. Everything was different yet the same. It made goosebumps rise on your skin, your heart thumping faster than ever.
“Shake on it?”
You offered your arm across the table, and Lewis reached out, taking it. But he didn’t shake your hand, he held onto it, his thumb stroking the back of your palm ever so slightly.
His hand was so big and warm - callused yet gentle. You found yourself trapped in his gaze again, enticed by those chocolate eyes.
Your breath hitched in your throat. You felt your stomach go wild.
His voice was low when he spoke. Raspy, on the edge of a whisper. “I’m so sorry.”
You knew what he was referring to. All those years ago…
…the accusations that Lewis had the power to question. The hatred you’d felt from the glaring eyes of all the Mercedes team. The disappointment in Toto’s eyes. The shame. You’d gotten orders to resign hours later - forced to walk away and never look back.
“I never believed what was said. Not for one second, but I never spoke up.” There was a deeper pain in his voice; remorse.
It all made sense now. He’d been consumed by guilt. He never kept in touch because he blamed himself, burned himself with regret.
Yet it made all the difference to you to learn that he never believed any of itl for a second. Somehow, him knowing it wasn’t true made you forgive him.
You found yourself smiling in reply.
“I wouldn’t be who I am today without what happened.”
“I like who you are now.”
The sentence hit you much harder than you thought it would, palpitations running through your heart. There was a throb in your brain, your hands clammy with sweat.
Lewis seemed surprised at his own sentence, recovering quickly with a sheepish grin. He scratched the back of his head, “I’ve never seen Tom more frightened.”
You snorted at his comment, the tension falling again, and Lewis released your hand, picking up his coat before turning towards the door.
You let him leave, the both of you saying nothing else but departing with small smiles of understanding.
Each footstep of his, echoed loud in your ears - ringing.
He was leaving.
You felt a sudden urge to go after him. To say something more. There was a burn in your heart, pulling you to your feet and you rushed out onto the corridor, heels clicking against the marble.
You caught him at the elevator, and your eyes locked once more. “Lewis,”
Your voice was breathy, a low, soft whisper.
His mouth opened. You’d called him Lewis, not Mr Hamilton - electric shocks went flying through his limbs, his hands tingling. He beamed a wide, toothy grin.
“I believe in you Lewis. I believe you can win.” His eyes lit up with a fire you'd never seen before.
The elevator door slammed shut. And you were left in the corridor, standing alone.
The 9 year old burden had been lifted.
—---------------------------------------------------------
That Friday:
6pm and you were calling it a day. The sun was approaching its farewell, its golden rays painting the city skyline a beautiful yellow.
As you wrapped up in the office your phone buzzed. It was an unknown number.
P1 it is.
Deal is on. Be ready in an hour.
You beamed with joy. I knew you could do it Lewis.

we are 10 minutes in and it is already terrible/amazing no in between
let me update as it happens
amazing how we book an entire arena to show the color of cars that look exactly the same as last year
someone who doesn't love anything more than being here, Max (camera cut to him)
“Some drivers would rather be anywhere else but not this guy” still focusing the camera on max
Beef with George (camera focus on George), plus mention of how he is the nicest
Toto comment about running away with Kimi when Lewis left
he just said, here is the most attractive man in F1, THE MAN THAT MY WIFE IMAGINES WHILE MAKING OUT WITH ME?!!! Charles Leclerc. then a camera focus to Charles.
A lot of awkward laughs from everyone being mention.
dude (the presenter) you are not funny, PLEASE STOP!
Laura Winter is on stage pretending the livery of stake kick Sauber is any good
The livery is 60% black, then the front fluorescent green.
Gabriel Bortoleto was so scared, honestly same
“sorry, I just got lost in Charles' eyes” same presenter from the start. the one of the make out with my wife comment. Charles was standing 2 meters away from him.
Then is “there a guy actually named Mike Krac?” Laura, I beg you take the mic away from that man.
he wasn't lying at the start the cars do look the same as last year, Williams is just full blue. like no other detail, but at least it has some color.
James Vowels trying to take a selfie, that is cute at least
I don't have enough English vocabulary to understand half of the things being said in the interview
remember is Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, official now
“Yuki and Isack are 6 foot combine”, said in the shown, after a drag queen asked if F1 was that sport with really short guys.
OMG, THE VCARB LIVERY IS SO PRETTY. ALL WHITE WITH BLUE, I LOVE IT. they might not be good with names, but the livery is fire.
“Haas does it its way, the American way” I forget so often they are American.
ANOTHER ALL WHITE LIVERY, ok, I love this one, it looks very cool.
He just said one of the greatest rivalries in F1 is Fernando against time, he doesn't look very happy to be there
lets all pray for a second for Alpine to be full pink livery
YESSS IT HAS FULL COLOR THANK GOT! forget about all pink, this one is so much better. Blue with all pink details, I love it!!!!
Not the caps hiding the bald heads.
It's our team turn now, I'm going to get back to prying. please, Aston, do not disappoint
They are doing a BUHHH when they mention the FIA. I love this crowd.
YEEESSSSS WE SLAY SO HARD THAT WAS ACTUALLY SO COOL
OMG JAMES BONG AND THEN THAT ANIMATION WE ACTUALLY DIDN'T BECOME A DISAPPOINTMENT
The livery is similar but nonetheless pretty. Might be overlooking, but it looks lighter green and the yellow looks great.
No comments about the F1 movie trailer
Mercedes is yet again with the “every dream needs a team” which is a choice to say the least.
All black livery with some silver. again.
awww Toto looks like a very proud parent to Kimi
Not Gordon Ramsey defending the drivers when it comes to swering. that is a 10000 euro fine JAJKAJAJ
And....Red Bull it is identical to last five years!!!! if it ain't broken why fix it.
So Ferrari happen, I was kinda expecting more from them. Again if it ain't broken why fix it
Finally McLaren, now that is an identical livery
Probably I'm heavily biased but the show kinda died after Aston, still liked it though
"McLaren have already signed Kimi" JAJABAVH ok dude whose name I still don't know that was funny
With that we are done with the F1 75 show! Let's go racing now only...25 more days
