Pregnancy Test
Diana Prince for Clark Kent
"Kal," Diana raised the small object, though Clark didn't need it to confirm what news she was sharing. "that night on Rann brought fruit."
"Di," the Kryptonian pulls the Amazon into a hug, who wraps her arms around the father of their growing child.

just wanted to say that your dankovskaya has made me feel much much better about my own body and hairiness! i was always bullied for having hair arms and a thick mustache in school, but i started leaning into it after getting to college because i wanted to draw in the girls. still i keep feeling insecure, but now whenever i feel pressured to shave i think about dankovskaya and feel her strength transmitting to me <3
teary-eyed a lil bit... I'M SO HAPPY SHE COULD GRANT YOU.. HER #FORCE AND #POWER.... i can blog and i can post to my heart's content how much "a woman without body hair is like an angel without wings" [and it's true. to me.] but it can only do so much in the face of often years of insecurities and societal pressure and ostracization. it takes a lot to stop caring about what others think and it takes even more to learn to embrace it, really, fully, and if my #women can help even a lil well... i'll keep working i'll keep clocking in at the hairy women drawing factory and do overtime. a civic duty. if someone can't fw [fuck wit] you wholeheartedly, stache and all... they have to fo [fuck off]. it was written. keep pushing in the face of those who so lack in the soul that they don't fw hairiness and soon you'll feel so free & it'll feel like nothing was every meant to be any other way. hairy girls and women of the world UNITE‼️
i was sure i was going somewhere with this ⬇️ but i forgot so. have a duplicate dankovskaya to bring you more force more power and more determination.
#ring ring (answers)#diana dankovskaya#to think. i put time in that fucking meme.........................#burakhovskaya#yeah sorry. it's the burakhovskaya factory.#anonymous

@berylcluster sent: i've loved you since the day we met. (For Diana from Steve)
oops! all angst! PROMPTS| Accepting
"That first moment Steve?" Diana asked softly. She hadn't realized that maybe she was too. It had taken her a while to figure it out though. "I think I have too."

If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
"This isn't really a hypothetical for me. At any given time there's dozens of accounts cropping up pretending to be me which would be annoying at best if people didn't seem to actually fall for it. It's a very easy differentiation, besides the fact I'm verified, I'm not sliding into anyone's DMs asking for 200 dollars to come play a gig in their city."
WEIRDLY SPECIFIC BUT HELPFUL CHARACTER BUILDING QUESTIONS.

5 and 12 for danica, 24 and 28 for diana, 48 and 50 for corsica!
5. Do they have any siblings? What’s their names? What is their relationship with them? Has their relationship changed since they were kids to adults?
Danica doesn't have any biological siblings, but she had a rotating cast of unnamed cousins who came through her adoptive aunt and uncle's home. She was the only one who stayed at Anise and Roscoe's, and she was also The Religious Kid, so none of the family kids ever got to know her too well. She was, however, the only orc in a family of halflings, so they went to her anyways when one of them got into trouble and they didn't want the adults to know right away.
After Danica came back home and became the local priestess, a few of them got to know her a little better in that capacity. She had an actual role in the community and they didn't have to know her only as The Big Protective Cousin. A few of them probably even stuck around after she had that standoff with the viceroy's guards and became a Paradigm. ...not all of them, though, and she thinks about the ones who stayed behind often.
12. What is their favourite food?
Whatever's in front of her at 5am when she makes it to the kitchen from her bedroom.
24. What is their sleeping pattern like? Do they snore? What do they like to sleep on? A soft or hard mattress?
Diana sleeps in a fucking laundry and blanket nest okay. this girl did not have a bed frame until she realized how embarrassing that would be to invite a girl over to. She has a shrine to Artemis in her bedroom to say her prayers to, and she is convinced this is wiccan magic that wards away the nightmares that used to keep her sleeping in fits.
28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?
Her biggest fear is that nobody will back her up when it's finally time to face consequences. That her "dad" will find her, and everyone else is going to either hand her over to him or turn and run. That she'll finally get arrested, and nobody will help her escape. That people are just going to leave her.
Her body picks fight or flight for her, and she commits to it hard. Lately, it's been mostly fight.
48. Do they enjoy any parties? If so what kind? Do they organise the party or just turn up? How do they act? What if they didn’t want to go but were dragged along by a friend?
Oh! Corsica has never been to a party before! When do we get out the ouija board? Do you want me to do a cool trick? Do you want something to drink, I think I have a flask in one of these pockets?
50. If they could only take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack? What do they consider their essentials?
Demonbane Charm (0 load), Ghost Key (0 load), Spiritbane Charm (0 load), Lantern (1 load), Fine Spirit Mask (1 load), Plenty of snacks and water (1 load)
She travels pretty light!

Diana, doesn't it bother you that Freya helped kill your mother and replaced you with her siblings?
Ask my muse invasive questions on anon and see how they react || accepting
"i love my mother, i really do. it's what a daughter should do, after all." it's a different kind of love compared to a normal parent-child-connection, though. dahlia was never a mother that could be considered as loving and warm or even in any aspect a role model. she was a very gifted witch and had great knowledge, a power that most witches won't be able to gain in their entire lives.
"but i do understand why she had to be taken down. she was about to commit another terrible crime just for the sake of power and revenge against a sister that disappointed her." knowing that dahlia had previously done that to freya and had stolen her from her true family without any sign of regret was already horrible. however, dahlia didn't seem to see anything wrong with it. she considered it as her right.
"i was told that in the end, dahlia died being in peace. she was reunited with the person that meant everything to her – her sister." it left a bitter taste to know that her own daughter never reached that kind of status, that she couldn't bring out a better side in her. that she wasn't enough, no matter in what aspect. she wasn't a good enough witch to dahlia's standards, she wasn't worth trying to change for the better. it made her feel like a failure.
"freya's siblings are her true siblings, the family she yearned for her entire life. why should i feel like i was being replaced when she always belonged to them? and apart form that, freya has not forgotten me. i still see her as my sister and i'm positive she still feels the same about me."
@viikingwitch tagging you because you're the freya i built diana with

35. How and why do they internalize knowledge? What effect has that had on them? ( diana )
Character Development Questions
I think it's not a fast process at all. She's used to having a very black and white take on things, in a theoretically solid and immovable kind of way. She had set places she got her information from and set people she trusted and despite (or perhaps as result of?) her privilege, she didn't have a wide spread at all. Her knowledge was incredibly limited, the avenues she got it through highly biased. Her training taught her to take instruction, obey her superiors. Not ask questions. Not think for herself. And Victoria had taught her a long time before that to walk soft, be invisible, have no voice. Be nothing.
So. I don't know if I know the why, but I do know the how is: slowly. With lots of time and grace. The harder you push the more likely she is to retreat, or to dismiss and dig in.
This leads to her being seen as stupid sometimes, I think. More often, though, it plays into people perceiving her as unrelenting, frigid, and aloof. Unwilling to change. This isn't true of her, it just takes a long time. She has to be thorough, to understand as much as she can, but more than that to sit with it. Steep it, stew in it, whatever you want to call it. Change is hard. Confronting yourself is hard. Sure, maybe she's swinging around on some of her views of the city now, but not quickly. She had bad ideas, she'll admit it, but to full tilt one eighty just because someone said "you're wrong" would be just as foolish as having those ideas to begin with — if not more so.
#diana.#sometimes i do memes like this and i read the question and i answer the question and then i go. can i read? is this what this says?#so. i dunno. ''internalize'' such a curious word choice

From THIS Ship Opinion Bingo Meme Here!
BINGO! Kinda. Only because they actually aren't dating anymore and they are now ACTUALLY married. So, minor technicality. Either way, these two have been a different breed of soulmates. I never expected it for her/them, but it was lovely that they did!

sender gives receiver a gift - diana & grace
"Oh... you weren't just asking for my opinion on it, it's for me?" Grace asks for confirmation in a tone of surprise. She then looks down at it, feeling almost a sad happiness wash over her. "You are so very sweet, and please do not think I am unsettled by this. I just have never received a gift unless it was from one of my children." The woman further explains. "It is so beautiful and I will cherish it. Thank you, my friend." @rcvcrics

@pilotspy sent: "I had a really good dream last night." Steve said taking a sip of his coffee, he smiled at Diana as he spoke. "It was about you, and me, we had a little girl. It was nice." (For Diana)
A smile from Diana as she walked over to him. Her own mug of coffee in her hand. "That sounds wonderful." She said. "Were we happy?"

For the deep asks:
6. what's the hardest part of the writing process for you?
18. Do you only write when you’re inspired, or do you try and sit down at specific times and write no matter what?
6. A lot of times what gets me stuck is plot. I don't always know how to get from one point to the next, and I usually end up needing to talk it through with someone to get unstuck when that happens. My partner, famously, is really good at coming up with plot ideas - I think he's just really well-versed in tropes and such, so he always has good suggestions that I shamelessly steal for myself, lol (he doesn't mind, and I usually try to credit him regardless).
18. Well, maybe a little bit of both? I'm definitely more likely to write when inspiration hits, and especially to write prolifically, but sometimes I will also just decide that I want to write and sit down and do it. Sometimes that works, and sometimes I end up adding nothing to my word document or get distracted by Tumblr, or something. It might be helpful to try keeping an actual writing schedule, though, just to have that habit in place, even if I don't produce anything worth keeping. Practice is never wasted, I suppose!

Quick Evil Note
To all my wicked darlings, I have now received rather a lot of messages asking me about the influences of Long Live Evil. And I wish to get messages about LLE and truly appreciate the ones I do get! And I wish to answer them. But answers about influences are tricky.
The book has been out in the US for a little over two weeks, and it’s going so well so far, I couldn’t be more delighted and appreciative about its reception.
But also I’ve been informed (not asked) that two of my characters are obviously somehow both Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy of Harry Potter, and Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. (Very puzzling as I don’t think these pairings - and one isn’t a pair - have much in common with each other or with mine. Vague hostility against a vaguely academic backdrop for a bit? For the record… in the book everyone is an adult and I don’t even have any academic backdrops to be vaguely hostile in front of…) This hasn’t happened to me in a long time, because I haven’t had an original novel out in a long time due to illness, and it is upsetting to always be discussed differently than writers who didn’t openly link their real names to their fan identity.
I have very different feelings and new appreciation for fandom than I once had. It’s been amazing to see and meet people who have stuck with me for decades. People are generally way more open and affectionate to and within fandom than they once were. Love matters to me a good deal more than hate. But getting death threats in your early 20s for excitedly telling your Internet friends you were going to publish a book does mark the psyche, and so does having your characters dismissed as other people’s characters.
And we can say there is nothing wrong with fanfiction or writing fanfiction and there isn’t! Fanfiction is great and can be genius. Terry Pratchett wrote Jane Austen fanfiction, and didn’t (and shouldn’t) have people saying Captain Wentworth = Captain Vimes. Still, when a TV show is discussed as ‘like fanfiction’ or when Diana Gabaldon said she didn’t like fanfiction and many said ‘YOU write fanfiction’ it isn’t intended in any kind spirit, even when it’s fannish folk saying it. And it’s just generally odd to have everyone call your apple a tomato, and has had professional consequences for me in the past.
However! All the asks I’ve received have been very kind, and I do want to answer them. I do want to talk about my influences because they are manifold and because I actually think it’s important to always talk about influences. I don’t believe stories exist in isolation - we tell tales in a rich tradition, and also a story doesn’t come alive to me all the way until it’s heard or read.
Long Live Evil is a love letter to fandom: it’s chock full of references to many many stories I’ve loved, to fairytales, myths and legend and Internet memes and epic fantasy and meta. My acknowledgements are endless partly for this reason. I do owe a great debt to many portal fantasies and archetypes and musicals and jokes about genre and plays through the ages, though I do think of my characters as themselves and nobody else.
I was frankly tempted to go ‘Yes I stole EVERYTHING! Bwhahaha!’ But while I am thoroughly enjoying and finding great freedom in my villain era, I do want to talk sincerely to you all as well, especially when asked sincerely interested questions.
But I’m a little scared to do so and have people say ‘AHA! Now we know what it’s fanfiction of’ (it’s happened before) or ignore me and go ‘we know the truth!’ (it’s happened before) and to feel like I’ve injured my book. Long Live Evil means more to me than any other and I really want to get talking about it right, and make sure it has the best reception I can give it.
So. Questions on all Evil topics very very welcome but answers to influence questions may come slowly. Bear with me. I am working on this!

“He was my mentor, my murderer, my maker.” ( diana )
CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT. || @bu11seye
"shouldn't one rule out the other?", diana questioned because at least one of those descriptions was exceedingly negative. so how can one be a mentor if they were also their murderer? doesn't sound like a good mentor.
"or is this just a manner of speaking?" those descriptions did all start with a 'm', so perhaps it was an artistic way of saying something.
