New Year's Eve part.10
Continuing the saga!
Sigi and Kaizarz belong to @corneille-but-not-the-author
Oli belongs to @thal-ent
Tyr and Fenrir belong to @hel-phoenyx
And Meili belongs to @azeler
He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me. He...
I am doodling on my diary with pink and glittery ink, small hearts and writing the name of the persons I love. Oli. Kaizarz. Tyr. Sigi. And damn. He loves me. Sigismund loves me.
He loves me, you understand? He loves me!
He loves me... So perhaps they love me. So perhaps I am wrong and I am lovable. I deserve to live and I am loved and that's not just in my head or in my dreams.
And
Yeah
Fenrir.
I have gone too far; I should apologize. But damn, all I wanna say to him is "Drink my fucking period blood and choke on it". There is a "i h8 im" in light purple next to his name. Honestly, ACAB. But ACAB is mostly for him right now.
And.
Oh wait a sec my sister's calling.
"Salaam, Qamar, what's up?"
Funny that my sis is the only one going solely by her Arabic name. Egill is only called Walid by our grandma and aunts. Sigsteinn is never referred as Fahd. And I... Welp. I cut contacts with my parents - should've not blamed me for getting pregnant with my maths teacher at 17. BUT BEFORE THAT, it was Masuda with the elders, and Domhildr otherwise.
But then again, I am the only one of my siblings with an almost perfect white-passing.
"Alaikum as-salam, you who have played dead for what, seventeen days?" my sister playfully answers. "You sound awfully happy, masha'Allah that's a pleasure to hear after Oli told me you were extremely under the weather. I've got good news for you: Umran is coming in France with his side of the family for the wedding! I'm so excited to see aunt Hafsa and uncle Omar!"
I can't help but giggle.
"And that comes to my second point: I invited all your friends to my wedding, they should get the invite during the week," she tells me as I'm starting to chuckle. I have more or less an idea of what her wedding might look like, so the thought of Kaizarz and Tyr dancing dabke and Meili surrounded by Arabs, with my hijabi aunts, sister and cousin, and also the smile of Oli before the profusion of good food, makes me giddy. She resumes her speech: "Which means, as my beloved big sister, you have a plus one to choose. I was thinking about the "new guy", I would be delighted to meet him properly."
I blush so violently I think Qamar can hear it through the phone. I smile, sigh like a diva, and compose my answer.
"I am still not on good terms with our parents, you know, and I don't want to put Sigi through it. He is, like, a knight in shining armour y'know, and I really don't want him to know about that thing."
"It's not like it was your fault."
"But it was", I laugh. "I opened my legs."
"Domhildr, I..." She is likely rolling her eyes right now. "I won't have that conversation with you. The conversation we will have instead is that my wedding."
"You want a religious celebration, the big fat Lebanese wedding, right?"
And the Lulea would love to spend a lot of money to prove immigration hasn't left them paupers. Eh. At least my baby sister will have a princess wedding and I'm happy for her.
"On that point, we decided with my fiancé that the nikah will be at the mosque."
"...are you saying I should tone down my girlboss energy?"
"Only for the nikah", she exclaims. "You can change afterwards, but if you can dress modestly for-"
"Qamar, y'know what? I'll wear modest clothes and make the veil sexy. Just as God intended."
Because it's your wedding and even if I hate not dressing like myself, it is your big day. I can make it work. She chuckles on the other side of the phone.
"Thanks Masuda. It means a lot for me."
"Gotta repay for the time I framed you for breaking that window."
She laughs again. Damn. My baby sister is growing up so fast.
***
"Yaaaay, you made it!" I shout as I see Sigismund, very sexy in a civilian attire I must say, just before I come to hug him tight and put a light kiss on his cheek. I love him. He loves me. I am happy. "I wasn't sure you would be down for shopping so I'm sooo glad you're here!"
"I am glad to see you in a better shape," he softly says while his gaze tenderly covers me. "And I'm not sure I understood your story about a wedding... can you elaborate?"
"My sister's getting married. In May. Big wedding, and she is a pious Muslim, so she and her guy want to do the nikah at the mosque. I need modest clothing and a pretty scarf for my hair, y'know. Can't show up before the imam with my microskirt, tattoos, and quite wonderful cleavage." He lets out a cute giggle. "And I wanted to have you as a plus one. Everyone of my squad already got invited, and you're really important to me so... DON'T PANIC IT'S IN MAY I DON'T HAVE THE PRECISE DATE YET. JUST... just think about it."
"...Yes because it is so sudden and my father is..."
"Do I love you or your father?"
He stays silent. His cheeks redden instantly.
"And we haven't defined our relationship yet and..."
"Shopping and then coffee for the big big talk?"
He nods. I put my head against his arm, all smile and giggles, before taking his hand in mine.
"I may know some people so don't panic if I get heckled in Arabic, for, y'know, the wedding. From what I've gathered from my brothers they invited a LOT of people. And the groom is quite a social butterfly. He is a nice man, really, Amine is a dear and they have such a romantic love story... and he knows a lot of people and he invited them."
He suddenly looks pale. I squeeze slowly his hand.
"Hey. Breathe in. Breathe out. We're just going shopping. I'll handle the social interactions, okay? And if you're uncomfy, tell me and we're leaving and calling it a day."
"...Okay", he whispers, still with that preoccupied expression on his face.
"Hey Sigi..."
"What?"
"I'm really happy you're here and you're spending time with me. You're just wonderful."
His face softens a bit. That's a win.
***
As soon as we entered the store, the auntie, who is also the one running the place - I'm coming here for modest clothing and, more importantly, cute modest clothing - and who is a good friend of my mother and my maternal aunt, calls me out in Arabic by saying: "Ya'Allah Masuda you haven't changed! I've heard you're a cook now, that's great, you're independent! You're here to prepare Qamar's wedding, right?"
"Aha, you know everything, auntie", I reply instantly. I haven't always liked Khadidja. She has had a lot of charadev since I left my parents' place. From quite a judgy person she has become a way more understanding woman. I know she has a daughter she loves more than anything in the world, girl is younger than me and Qamar, and I think it helped. "I need a cute dress, a cute scarf for my hair, but if you have an ensemble with pants that would do I'm taking it."
"And who is this beautiful boy, Masuda? Is he your husband?"
"What is she saying?" Sigismund asks, puzzled and confused while seeing me quite violently blushing.
"Nothing, she is saying nothing, w-we're going this way!" I shout, red as a poppy, almost dragging Sigi with me, while auntie Khadidja has a hearty laugh.
Auntie Khadidja doesn't only sell modest clothing for weddings and stuff. No no no. She sells formal clothes for women. From very the Occidental wedding dress to cocktail dresses and formal women suits, with of course what I am looking for. Aaaaaah, that dark red dress is divine but wayyy too revealing. Sigi's looking at it too. Quite intensely even. Touching the fabric. Pensive.
"She is pretty, ain't it?"
"What?"
"The dress, I mean", I precise.
"Ahem... yes? Ahem..." He looks for his words. "You would look great in it but I thought you wanted modest clothes..."
"Not my size anyway. Too long. But you should try it", I suggest.
"What? No, I..."
"You should. It's decided", I claim as I take that beautiful piece in my arms. "The fitting rooms are this way and I want you out of it in this heavenly stuff."
"Doesn't the manager of this store would be mad at me for that?"
He seems genuinely terrified. Like a kid. Almost about to cry. I manage to slowly take his hand, and murmure to him:
"Auntie Khadidja's beloved daughter came out as a trans girl like five years ago, and if Khadidja is still quite conservative on a lot of things she doesn't care who tries on her dresses anymore, be it a man, a woman, a non-binary person like Oli, she couldn't care less. As long as she can do business it's all good. She's a businesswoman. And I will spend more than a hundred bucks here so she will be delighted."
"I..."
"It's just a dress. Just fabric. Really pretty, but overall just fabric. That doesn't mean anything profound, y'know."
He whispers almost like a sob. "...You're sure I can try it?"
"Positive."
"That you won't see me as a degenerate?"
"If anything I will see you as the hottest stuff around~"
He has a faint smile and pink on his cheeks. He is so cute. So fucking cute. And look at him go to the fitting room with the dress! Look at him disappearing behind the curtain... I browse through a couple of dresses to find another one that could fit him. I think I'm onto something, right now. Really onto something.
Sigi moves aside the curtain and I've never seen such pure glee enlightening a face before. He looks at himself in the mirror with a smile. I look at his silhouette - oh my God is it legal to be that beautiful? My heart is about to combust.
"You're gorgeous", I say pathetically because I am no good with poetry. A better bard would have sung his beauty but I am just stunned.
"You think?"
Happy tears forming in his eyes. They're like pearls, jewels highlighting the beauty of their bearer.
"I am sure. 100%. You look... woah. You're dashing."
I tilt my head to the blue dress, which provides more coverage but with princess sleeves and a short train. It's made for a maid of honour I suppose.
"Wanna try this one too?"
"Can I?"
He suddenly looks so excited. Wallah he is so cute.
***
But the dreaded moment arrives. I have to choose my outfit. And Sigismund is way more into it than I am and that's so fucking adorable. He's more and more comfortable with feeling the fabrics, the laces, the silk, the satin...
"You need a shawl for the religious ceremony, right?"
"Yep", I sigh, not particularly thrilled at the idea to veil. I mean, when I was praying, well before I distanced myself from religion, I did use to veil to pray. "You know, to cover my hair at the mosque. But as soon as the nikah ends I'm throwing it."
"I think this one would be really cute on you", he says while handing me a long shawl, light fabric, gauze probably. Its colour variation reminds me of the sea, with its silvery reflects. "You could use it as a scarf too, it would suit you really well on the daily."
I try to wrap it over my head and my shoulders, very loosely. I don't aim to look like my most practising family members, but hey.
Very demure.
Very mindful.
And the fabric feels fine.
"I like it", I admit. "Now I have to find something that goes with it."
"On that point..."
With a devilish - and so sexy - smile, he shows me an iridescent bluish dress. Covering everything, of course, but quite figure-hugging until the hips.
"Try this on."
Oh babygirl I don't need to try this on. The mere fact you picked it for me makes me love it.
But I try it anyway. And it fits like a glove, it's just a tad bit too long. Sigi looks at me with sparkles in his eyes.
"You're stunning."
I go back to change, butterflies swarming in my stomach. Immediately as I get out of the fitting room, I kiss him on the cheek, wait for a second contemplating his mouth. I put a light peck on his lips, before letting go and start running to auntie Khadidja to pay everything - my outfit, and the dress he finally chose.
"DOMHILDR!"
I laugh.
"Catch me if you can, or everything is on me~"

Itâs a Promise
Ruqing sat in her prison cell, the rhythmic tapping of her impatient finger rolling echoing in the hall. Her Excellence promised to save her, sheâd just have to wait. At the soft sound of footfalls, Ruqing shot to her feet.
âYour Exce-huh?â to her surprise, it wasnât who she thought it was.
âExpecting someone else?â Meili-Jia asked, running her fingers over the dusty bars of the cell. The younger woman didnât respond, only narrowing her eyes. âI told you before, didnât I? I wasnât letting my guard down. Unfortunately, the same canât be said for dear Ruyan. Well played.â
âWhat do you want?â Ruqing asked, âIâm guessing itâs not a friendly chat.â
âNope, itâs not,â Meili-Jia looked at her now grimy fingers, rubbing them together to rid her of the dust, âWhat I want and what will happen are two different things.â
âOh?â She really didnât want to hear what the woman had to say, but she knew being rude wouldnât get her anywhere.
âThe worst youâll get is being kicked down to civilianism, as his majesty already attempted, with no chance of reentry into the palace. But since you have your hand in the Empressâs pocket, youâll get a slap on the wrist. No, what Iâd like is for you to have each finger nail ripped out one by one, followed by your toe nails, and then for you to walk on hot coals. Even that wouldnât be a drop compared to the ocean you deserve,â Meili-Jia looked at her nails before glancing up, âBetween what you did to Consort Modesty and your sister, I would settle for no less than utter mutilation and humiliation which leads to your death. But with you practically sharing your bed with the empress⊠well, even if you werenât-â
âYou despise me so much?â Ruqing didnât seemed phased, âHow could you-â
âRuyan said it herself; the Wen family has done nothing short of utter betrayal,â Meili-Jia smiled cheerfully, âBut I donât have access to the rest of your family, now do I? I would make sure that you all suffered a fate worse than death for causing my best friendâs immeasurable despair. And while she may have forgiven you in her mind, the way I see it you brought what was left out in your family home into the kingdom. And by doing so youâve made it my business.â
âTalk all you want, Iâm not afraid of you-â Ruqing turned to walk further into her cell, only to be grabbed around the neck and pulled back against the bars.
âYou should be,â Meili-Jiaâs previous cheerful tone was gone, âYou struck my final nerve long ago. Unlike you and most of the other whores in this place, I donât resort to petty forms of revenge like framing for attempted murder or causing a miscarriage. If I want someone goneâŠâ a sword slipped between the bars to rest against Ruqingâs neck, âI make sure they are dead.â
âY-Y-You canât kill me! Th-th-the empress-!â
âI said it before and Iâll say it again, sheâs my biggest annoyance, not a concern,â Meili-Jia snapped, âBut here is a bit of a warning. Leaving here and becoming a civilian is the best option for you. Because if you stay here⊠well, Iâll make every day of the rest of your life a living hell.â The sword was removed and Ruqing kicked onto the ground. Meili-Jia twirled the sword in her hand before putting it back into itâs sheath, âAnd this isnât a threat. Itâs a promise.â No warmth was held in her deep green eyes as she cast one final glance at Ruqing before walking out, as quiet as she had entered.
I believe Iâve stated before that Meili-Jia was trained with a sword by Lord Yi. She actually keeps her sword out in the open as a decoration piece. She keeps the sheath with it because itâd be odd to just keep it laying about. The only reason Mu even allowed her to be trained was because of how much she went through before she almost became a Buddhist; basically itâs just for self defense. But sometimes the best defense is a good offense, sooooo...
If anyone asked her why she was carrying a sword, sheâd probably say she heard something and wanted to make sure she was safe. And she hasnât used her sword to threaten anyone before, so why would she do it now?
I will say that while Meili-Jia is one of my most relaxed characters, sheâs also the most likely to stab someone.

Fun Facts
Yoshio Inoue (Pierre) is one of the most popular musical theatre actors in Japan.
Heâs btw two years older than Josh Groban.
Erika Ikuta (Natasha) is from a girl idol group called Nogizaka46. She's been in a few musicals including Les Misérables and Mozart!.
Meili-Mu (Balaga) is a drag queen who identifies himself as a gay man.
* Actually Iâm not really familiar with this show, but it seems itâs drawing a great amount of attention from non-Japanese speaking musical theatre fans, so I made this post. Iâm happy that people are getting aware of Japanese musical theatre! There's been a lot of great productions in the past and the future.

16/12/18
Detsember, detsember, detsember! Juba aasta viimane kuu?? Koolis on semester kohe lĂ”ppemas & vaheajani on jÀÀnud kĂ”igest 4 koolipĂ€eva.
Kolid Eestisse vĂ”i?â
Koolis Ameerika ajaloo tunnis tegeleme hetkel ĂŒpris suure projektiga, milleks on History Day. KĂ”ik Ă”pilased on kohustatud osalema, sest see moodustab enamus teise trimestri hindest. Igal aastal on erinevad pĂ”hiteemad, see aasta on selleks âTriumph and Tragedyâ ehk triumf ja tragöödia (ajaloos). Selle pĂ”hiteema alusel pidime mingi ajaloosĂŒndmuse leidma ning sellest projekti kirjutama ja lĂ”puks otsustama, kas teha sellest veebileht, video vms. Minu teemaks on aatomipommi loomine, ehk peamiselt on juttu sellest, kuidas Ameerika kahele Jaapani linnale - Nagasakile ja Hiroshimale tuumapommi rĂŒnnaku tegi. Loomulikult ka sellest, kuidas see alguse sai. Manhattani projektist, kus president Roosevelt oli kuulnud kuulujuttu sellest, kuidas Saksamaa oli sarnase pommi loomisele mĂ”elnud.
Inglise keele ja matemaatika tundides oleme just lÔpetanud CIA ehk State (Osariigi) testide tegemise.
Meie linna, Ogdeni linnapea auks pandi kahe mĂ€e vahele suur Ameerika lipp. Ta suri Afganistaanis missioonil.Â

Meie elu digitaalmaailmas.
Minu vĂ”it mitte sotsiaalmeedia kasutamisest oli ĂŒsna koheselt tuntav. Ma enam ei vĂ”rrelnud ennast kellegiga, kadus Ă€ra mĂ”te, kas ma olen ikka piisav, mind enam ei huvitanud mida teised inimesed minust arvavad.
Elu raiskamine:
Ărkad ĂŒles
VÔtad Instagrami vÔi Facebooki lahti
Loed kÔik uudised lÀbi millest sa öösel ilma jÀid.
Vastad paaris grupivestluses
Loed meili, vastad ĂŒhele meilile.
Avad messengeri, pole uusi kirju
VĂ”tad Youtube lahti, vaatad ĂŒhe video, vaatad teise
Vaatad ĂŒhe veel.
LÀhed tööle, checkid telefoni iga 5-10 minuti tagant.
Reageerid igale teavitusele, mis töömeili potsatab
Nii 8 tundi iga tööpÀev.
LĂ€hed koju, Teed sĂŒlearvuti lahti.
Facebook, Insta, Messenger.
Vaatad Youtubest uuesti 0 sisuga videot
Paned Youtube kinni
Targemaks ei saanud.
Paned sĂŒlearvuti kinni.
Avad telefoni.
Fasebook, Insta.
Vastad grupivestluses, saadad naeratava nÀo.
Scrollid Facebookis kÔik uudised lÔpuni.
Tuleb pissihÀda, lÀhed vetsu. VÔtad telefoni kaasa. Avad insta. Vaatad kuidas keegi puhkab Sri Lankal. Oled kade, tahaks ka.
JÔuab kÀtte öö.
Enne uinumist vahid tunni ekraani.

Outfits Master Post
Iâm not going to lie, Iâm making this for a somewhat shallow reason.
I. Hate. The. Old. Facial. Mod.
By âoldâ I mean one of the more... recent-ish mods they made to make the characters look less... anime? I dunno. I donât like it. I like the new one, which is actually how it looks when I first started playing, especially for Meili-Jia. So!
However! I have in fact modified some of the outfits that I posted before, and I wanted to post them without having to change EVERY SINGLE POST. Thus, why Iâm doing this. SO LETâS BEGIN!
________________________________________
âAmaryllisâ is actually something Meili-Jia saw and wanted to improve on. She saw a picture of an elegant lady wearing a very similar dress and she decided to make it her own.
âDancing Petalâ is actually a present from Chao-xing for one of Meili-Jiaâs birthdays. It was made from materials that Ruyan and Yunyue gave her. While Meili-Jia loves this outfit, she doesnât have much reason to wear it. Itâs usually used as a maternity outfit.
âEternal Plumeriaâ is Meili-Jiaâs primary outfit that she made herself. Itâs one of the first that she made after becoming a concubine, and she ended up making several of this dress so that she can wear it every day.
âLemon Dropâ was kind of an experiment dress that Meili-Jia made using scrap material. Before this, she only knew how to sew in theory, she hadnât actually sewn before. So she made it to see how well she could put something like this together. While itâs not her best outfit, sheâs still proud of it. She normally wears it to clean.
âMagenta Magnoliaâ is a dress that Ruyan made for her as a present to celebrate the spring. Meili-Jia wears it for every special event during the spring.
âMaple Leafâ was a gift from Wei and Yuexui in autumn as thanks for being such a kind and loving mistress. Meili-Jia wears it during autumn celebrations and on Wei and Yuexiuâs birthdays.
Meili-Jia made âMatcha Mochiâ for a festival to show good faith to foreigners. Naturally it was well received. This is one of the outfits she has reserved for warmer seasons.
âMĂ©ihuÄâ was made by Wei for the first annual anniversary of being hired by Meili-Jia. She wears it during spring celebrations and on Weiâs birthday.
âMidnightâ is one of Meili-Jiaâs maternity outfits. Yunyue made Midnight while Meili-Jia was pregnant with Bik, and made sure it matched with âSpring Sunsetâ. Meili-Jia still wears it when she plays with her children.
âMint Teaâ is actually a hand-me-down from Yunyue. She gave to to Meili-Jia because it didnât suit her anymore and Meili-Jia didnât have any proper concubine clothes. Meili-Jia wears it on hot days and laundry day.
âMonochromeâ was a gift from the Empress, though Meili-Jia suspects it was just given to her because Her Highness didnât want it. Meili-Jia doesnât have much use for such an outfit, so she only wears it when requested to.
âOriginsâ is what Meili-Jia came to the palace wearing. Itâs actually a mismatch of a bunch of things given to her over time by her mother, her neighbors and people she was friendly with. She had forgotten that she had the dried peppers on her belt until after she was in the palace. She doesnât wear it unless she has absolutely nothing else to wear, but she keeps it to remember where she came from.
Mu Lingchen gave Meili-Jia âPastel Danceâ as an apology present after doubting her with Lilou. Meili-Jia wears this when playing with her children and during warmer seasons.
âPeaches and Creamâ was initially made by Meili-Jia for Ye Xiu, but she didnât want to accept âsuch a similar dressâ to Meili-Jiaâs normal dress. So she ended up keeping it (despite not particularly linking orange) to wear whenever visiting Ye Xiu.
âRose Goldâ was a birthday gift from Lord Yi. Because itâs made of expensive and exotic materials, Meili-Jia is a bit hesitant to wear it; not wanting to mess it up. She wears it for wedding and important celebrations.
âSlumbering Sakuraâ is a gift from Meili-Jiaâs mother. Itâs just a nightgown that is meant to be durable but pretty, but itâs a replica of one Meili-Jia saw as a child. Ruyan and Yunyue added the silver decals when it needed to be repaired. (Bik ripped the sleeves.)
âSnow Blossomâ was actually given to Meili-Jia on accident. It was originally intended for Li Yueru from the Empress, but once Consort Peace saw Meili-Jia wearing it, she didnât want it anymore. Meili-Jia wears it on Li Yueruâs birthday and on the anniversary of her death.
âSnow Dropâ was made after seeing a snowy mountain. Meili-Jia normally wears it when feeling especially creative.
âSpring Sunsetâ is one of Meili-Jiaâs maternity outfits. Meili-Jia made this with help from Ruyan. It was actually Ruyanâs idea to add the flowers. Meili-Jia wore this while pregnant with Bik and when she plays with her children.
Summer Lilac is another hand-me-down, but no one is sure from whom. Meili-Jia asked around for months before deciding that it belonged to a concubine who was banished from the harem. Meili-Jia wears it on cloudy days.
âVeiledâ was given to Meili-Jia by Noble Consort Nian as a backhanded gift. It was a promise that Meili-Jiaâs good fortune would die in the Harem. Meili-Jia only wears it during funerals and on days that she is feeling sad.

Emperor Mu vs. Lord Yi
Okay, so the biggest discussion with the Royal Chaos fanbase boils down to Emperor Mu is a shitty love interest and Lord Yi is better. Itâs not even a debate at this point, ITâS JUST GENERAL CONCESSIS. So, thereâs just stuff I want to put out there, not as an argument, but just as thought. (Please read everything before sending me hate mail)
Period of Time
This takes place in ancient China. As we know, before... The 1960âČs... Women were basically seen and not heard. Women were basically property. And I know that a lot of people will argue that during WWII women were in the workplace, but itâs literally just because THE MEN WERE AT WAR.There was no one to work besides the women. It wasnât until the mid to late 1900âČs that women started asserting themselves (and itâs mostly in countries with a large amount of white people). So, just like someone might treat livestock as property, women were basically just baby making machines.
Culture
Some people may argue the period of time statement with âBut the Queen of England has always held tons of power!â Yes, but in cultures where a male figure runs the country in a hierarchy, IT DOESNâT WORK THAT WAY. In China especially, women are still property more than people. In fact, there are TONS of countries and cultures that view women this way (Mormonism, hello?) Itâs sometimes very rare and almost a privilege for a woman in those cultures to find a man who treats her as an equal. So, again, women are basically baby making machines in charge of taking care of the house and producing sons (not even just children in general, SONS).
So, with those two things in mind, the behavior we see with Mu Lingchen is considered kind. In modern day white dominating countries? Not at all, itâs toxic. And you guys have seen me make jokes about this. Now, when it comes to Mu Linghao (aka, Yi), heâs what modern day people consider DECENT. In the time period heâs based in, his behavior would be considered WEAK. His brother (the Mu) is generous for keeping him as his right hand man, because being as kind as he is would be considered a weakness. Was he not as intelligent and crafty as he is, heâd be a laughing stock.
So of course Mu is desired by women in this time period because heâs considered the ideal man. Of this time period. Do I think heâs a great fit for modern day women? Of course not! Yi is a much better option for modern day women (or men if thatâs your preference). In modern day society in 1st world countries, Yi is basically the standard for what you should be looking for in a life partner. Mu is the image of what you want to avoid. But putting either of them to the same standard as you would modern day 1st world cultures is not fair.
For my OC, Ruan Meili-Jia, I would put her with Mu Lingchen, because both of them are based in Ancient China.
FOR ANYONE ELSE, go with Yi.
If youâve gotten this far and find anything factually incorrect (like the culture of ancient China or the roles of said culture are), please let me know. However, if youâre just mad because I have a different opinion, donât be a chicken shit and message me anonymously.

In honor of surprise of surprise baby boy, Iâm gonna talk about Prince Mu Lei!
Lei means âpile of stonesâ and is pronounced Leh-ee (or lay)
Lei wasnât expected. Meili-Jia threw up and the royal physician told her she was in labor. Lingchen was just as surprised as Meili-Jia.
Lei has a blanket that he likes to chew on and hold.
Lei is scared of his own sneezes.
When Lei pouts, he looks like the emperor.
Heâs not talking yet, but he babbles and tries to mimic animal sounds (specifically Huanâs meowing)
Lei likes playing with Xuexiuâs braids
Emperor Mu will sometimes have full blown conversations with Lei as if they understand each other. Itâs usually about political issues. The empress has given him some weird looks when watching this.
Wei also has conversations with Lei. Wei feels like is therapeutic to talk to someone who wonât judge.
Most of Leiâs clothes are purple or orange
Lei can crawl
Lei likes sitting in grass and kicking against the leaves.
Yunyue saved Lei from almost falling down the stairs

My Trivial Perception
So, I decided for shits and giggles to write some trivia about me playing Royal Chaos
As for Meili-Jia, I donât read her name properly. I pronounce it May-Lay Jee-ya. Itâs not how itâs supposed to be in Chinese, but whatever.
I also donât read Lilouâs name correctly. I read it the same as Lilo (Lilo & Stitch) verses Lilow which is more accurate (at least in my understanding)
My favorite hero is Zifu, I donât have a particular reason beyond just... I like her.
My OTP is Wen and Yuexiu
Iâve probably spent about $200 in game and itâs mostly for clothes.
My favorite in-game activity is gardening
I generally keep male heros in the front and females in the back, though Iâm not sure why
While I primarily keep my phone on silent, whenever new parts of the story are unlocked I turn on the sound because I like listening to the voices
I really want the sheep pet (I think itâs cupid?) because Iâm born in the year of the sheep
I donât have a particular character that is my husbando, but I imagine Mu Lingchen would be a good fit for Meili-Jia
Now for some stuff specifically about Meili-Jiaâs creation
The reason Meili-Jia has two names is because I couldnât decide between Meili and Jia. Many cultures have multiple given names or multiple family names, so I figured giving her two given names would be fine.
Ruan is a type of instrument similar to a lute
I knew I wanted Meili-Jia to wear something pink, but it was hard to find something similar to what the other female characters were wearing. Once I dyed the Gold Wave dress purple, it seemed perfect.
While her intentions are good, Meili-Jia isnât exactly pure of heart. This slightly contradicts what her in game stats are.
Meili-Jia is the only character of mine with a hair style almost exactly like Sailor Moon. (I do have one character that just has space-buns though)
I imagine Meili-Jiaâs voice is similar to Tohru Hondaâs in the new Fruits Basket, but Iâm not super savvy with Chinese voice actors

Hurray! Bik grew up! So in honor of that I have some factoids about Meili-Jiaâs eldest child!
Bik means âjadeâ and is pronounced Bayk (or bake...)
Much like her mother, Bikâs favorite color is pink. Her second favorite color is green
Bik is very soft spoken (meaning her voice isnât loud)
Bik is rather friendly and not very shy
Bik falls pretty often, and has pretty much stopped crying about it. Though her knees often have scrapes on them
Biks first word was âjiaoâ, which means dumpling, which is due to it being her favorite food. Her second word was âMamaâ.
Bikâs favorite animal is sparrows
Bikâs favorite thing to do is cuddle
It took Bik a while to recognize that Wei was not her dad. So she calls him âDĂ ge Weiâ, meaning brother Wei.
Bik is very opinionated and has called several of her âauntsâ mean. She calls Wen Ruyan and Yunyue âYĂ Ruyanâ and âYĂ Yunyueâ respectively (YĂ meaning aunt)
Although Bik mistook Wei as her father, she does actually know who her father is. She calls the emperor âBĂ ba Muâ, and itâs mostly because Lingchen is still too hard for her to say.
Much like her mother, Bik has green eyes. However the shape looks more like her fatherâs eyes.
While Bik is of good health, she generally has low stamina
#royal chaos#be my friend#about ocs#she actually does look like this picture except with green eyes#Bik's eyes are more of a moss green while Meili's are emerald
