Hello friends! We are officially only 10 days away from the beginning of this year's Carry On Countdown. How's everyone doing? The admins are very excited for Nov 25th, and we hope the fandom is prepared for all of the fabulous content coming its way. As mentioned in our prompt post, we wanted to give our lovely admins the chance to introduce themselves. Here they are:

Raegan: Hello darlings, I’m Raegan from @carryonmylovelies and I can’t wait to feast on all of your submissions for this year. A few fun facts about myself are that I work in the fire protections industry as a fire alarm inspector, I adore all things queer and gory, and I make a mean pumpkin pie. This is actually my 4th year as an admin for the carry on countdown, and honestly, my year would be so incomplete without all of the preparation every autumn 🫶. Carry On was unleashed upon me almost 7 years ago and I feel that it’s an utter privilege to be able to return to this beloved event year after year. The countdown is a cherished and important queer tradition that clings to my heart, and I deeply treasure every bit of content that it inspires. I’m thrilled to see what you all have in store for us. Froggy: ‘Ello, ‘Ello, ‘Ello! My name’s Froggy or @jasonfunderberkerthefrogexists and I’m so pumped to see what we’ve got going on this year for COC! It is my second year as an admin and second year participating, but I’ve seen stuff from the event for a lot longer. Every year, I always see some crazy good stuff from y’all! I’ve quite literally been looking forward to this all year :D Some fun facts about me; I’m a lover of all things paranormal and cryptozoological, I love to cross-stitch, and I love a good grilled cheese :) Looking forward to see what y’all get up to! Cora: Hi everyone! I’m Cora or @otherpeoplesheartachept-2, I am extremely excited to see what everyone creates this year for the countdown!!! My first time participating in the countdown was in 2017 and being an admin just makes the event even more special to me. It's one of my favorite parts of the year :) Fun facts about me: I love vampires, I eat soup genuinely at least once a week, and I like to embroider. 

Lola: Hi!! I’m Lola, @dragoneggos, and I’m super excited to be an admin for COC again this year! Countdown for me has always been the most special event, and is what really helped me develop as a writer, both of Snowbaz and everything else! I participated in both 2021 and 2022 with full fics covering every prompt, and while I’m sad I won’t be able to participate this year (uni is leaving me little time for writing!), I cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with! Have fun!! <333

I am actually so incredibly ill about the implications of Sunny attaching themself to this idea that Lenays corpse is a mermaid... is2g they have fully convinced themself their mothers floating dead body is alive and speaks to them...

And Tubbo has no idea where to begin with that because he was the one who told them she was a mermaid to begin with. Because again how do you tell a child that their mothers corpse floats in the river you live by. That shes not a mermaid and never has been what Sunny thinks/refers to their mother is actually her corpse and I :((

Sunny 'talks' with Lenay the same way a child 'talks' with their stuffed animal,,, Sunny is so so young and it BREAKS MY HEARTTT

One day, if the body disappears Sunny will be hysterical asking where her ma is because shes ALWAYS in the river, she is ALWAYS in that spot by the dock. imagine she goes to her pa and just "PA! MAS GONE. WHAT IF THE EVIL MAN TOOK HER? WE NEED TO SAVE HER!" What's Tubbo gonna do then? Try to explain the truth to her? Go along on an adventure with no end because the evil man isn't real??

people who are so enthusiastic about the things i make and the fandoms i rep at my booth are THE #1 coolest part of the experience 🥺 i feel like convention artist alleys these days are mostly filled with the same 4 popular anime/mobile games and it's really hard to find less popular anime, let alone things like video games and webseries. you would not believe how many comments I got that people never see things like Team Fortress 2 or Portal in AAs, let alone stuff like Infinity Train or HLVRAI 😭 the people who recognize them are always SO excited and then I'M excited and we are BOTH excited and nerding out together. it's fantastic!!!

the hlvrai fandom is definitely still going strong! i still see a lot of fanart and community posts and my sales on my few hlvrai things on my etsy have Not slowed down lmao. i'm sure if covid didn't happen there would have been so many benry cosplayers in 2020. we were ROBBED </3 i've seen You and one benry cosplayer at ACEN last year and that was IT </3 </3 </3

Spite’s eyes flared an eager pink. “Illario. Smelled like. Copper and questions.”

They were on the same page, there. Evariste studied Spite’s face, or his use of a face, but found nothing deceptive in it. Illario was important to Lucanis, who was important to Spite. After the Ossuary, if he’d had his way, Evariste would have put the lesser Dellamorte under lock and key.

“I know what you mean,” he said, maybe too cynically. Spite brightened further. Evariste started down the stairs. “Come on. Lucanis will see Illario tomorrow.”

A grumble. Spite glared in open frustration. “Is that…long?”

“Not to us,” Evariste replied.

Satisfied, Spite loped down to join him.

Chapter 2 - Shake the Tree, is on AO3 right now.

Chapter 3 should be posted by the end of February.

Then, updating roughly every 2 weeks as time permits.
