As some of you may know I have been in chronic pain for the last 4 months due to a back injury. This has negatively impacted all aspects of my life and had been incredibly taxing both mentally and physically. I have been unable to work in recent weeks as the pain has gotten progressively worse.

We are finally scheduled for treatment however the tratment will cost $1965.40 with insurance (our health care system is broken) this is on top of the near $800 in prior medical costs we still need to pay off.

I have been hesitating to use tags like "signal boost" because some people will just block those because they don't care, and some people asking for help ask for rebloggers to not use those tags for the same reason.

However, as someone who needs to save some money but feels great empathy for those in need, I understand that people who DO care and want to help do not always have the money to give. And that can feel awful.

So, I have a sort of compromise: a long, unique tag that gently reminds viewers that it's okay to protect yourself when you can't give.

So, if you see a post with the above tag, you can click it to find other people in need of support, if you would like to give or share (please do, if you can!)

I will ALSO start using general category tags:

"palestine support," "medical support," "pet support," etc. That way if there's a particular type of cause you would like to support, you can find more by looking at that tag on my blog.
