The really insidious part of fatphobia, especially in medical settings, is that any and all weight loss is seen as a good thing when you're fat
For example. Today I noticed that I must've lost quite a bit of weight (a jacket I could barely zip up a few months ago now fits with room to spare), and I have no clue why. I eat. Eat a lot, actually, and a lot of snacks and sweets. I don't work out much, not nearly enough to explain anything
But if I were to go to a doctor, I'm 99% sure they'd just tell me it's good I'm losing weight and dismiss me
Unintentional weight loss is a symptom of a lot of conditions, but fat people regularly get dismissed
By the way, this is where the persistent myth of "being fat leads to health problems" comes from. Because it's true, but not in the way people are taught
Being fat leads to health issues, because the health issues of fat people get dismissed and ignored until it's too late

Members Supporting Jimin and his phenomenal success of MUSE
I will equivocally state that I am a jikooker with Jimin as my bias, but I support ALL members with my money (buying albums, digital downloads, merch, fan club, concerts) and time (streaming, blogs, IG, TikTok).
But, i don’t understand for the life of me the antics of one member. This is Jimin’s promotional weekend and there has not been one ounce of support for Jimin and his album release from Taehyung. Yet most of the other members (Suga does not promote while enlisted) have congratulated JM and shown their support. I expect to see a tiktok post from JK soon, as he did for Hobi and RM.
Tumblr media
But why has Tae not supported this album release of Muse just like he never supported FACE? What he does instead is release a promo for his photo book during Jimin’s promo period. Actually, i was ok with it, because it was not music, but a personal photo project I saw as a gift to Army on Army day.
But today, in the middle of tracking and charting for Jimin, along with the trailer for JM/JK travel show releasing later today, he decides to post a photo of him and JK in Hawaii stating: JK will come quickly because he asked him to and missed him. What was the point of this post? Why is he feeding the taekookers who have been dragging Jimin relentlessly since the announcement of the travel show and the drop of his album. A large group of people who are actively working against Jimin by supporting other acts just to try and hold back Jimin. Mind you, JK is not getting the hate.
I am not saying a member has to publish on social media to show support, but he did for other members and never for Jimin. That whole show where they hugged each other on Jin’s discharge was very touching, but now feels so disingenuous.
Help me understand what is going on and why this seems to continually happen. Last year, JK would come back and provide context to everything that Tae said that put taekookers on a roll. Like Jimin, he has pretty much been absent from social medial and can’t do lives.
Do I believe, they are all friends? Yes! But are they all as close to each equally, obviously not and that is understandable. Tae is closer to his wooga squad than he is most of the members of BTS. But even taking the whole shipping aspect away from jikook, i would still feel Tae’s actions should be questioned, simply because what he does over and over again is to rile up the toxic members of his fanbase and taekookers to hate on Jimin. We saw how bad it got last year with the death threats and reports to the Ministry of Defense from JK solos and taekookers. It is bad now with Jimin’s album release and travel show with JK.
What does it take to be supportive like the other members or just simply be quiet this weekend?
This is not a hate post towards Tae, but a post calling out a behavior that has negative connotations towards Jimin, his supposed soulmate.
Bottom Line - STREAM, STREAM, STREAM FOR JIMIN LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW!!

Hm...only five major branches of the Indo-European languages are known to have somehow maintained a separation between the three series of PIE stops, and only three of those, Hellenic, Indo-Iranian, and Italic, had plain voiced stops in the written record corresponding to those in the standard reconstruction of PIE.
These were the same three branches that, when compared together, caused academics to hypothesize Indo-European as a family and launched Indo-European studies as a discipline. Could it be that examination of these three is producing a bias in the reconstruction in PIE?
It’s not even possible to reliably reconstruct /b/ for any of these branches to the periods between splitting from PIE and their own internal breakups. Classical Greek /b/ is from PIE *gw, which never bilabialized in Mycenaean, *m in certain contexts in words without known Mycenaean cognates, and substrate words also without firmly established Mycenaean cognates. Sanskrit /b/ sometimes agrees with Avestan and Old Persian /b/, but that is due to Grassmann’s law, which, due to deaspiration in Proto-Iranian, might or might not have been active in Proto-Indo-Iranian. Latin /b/ comes from Proto-Italic *p in certain circumstances where it did not change in other Italic languages; /dw/ during its written history (see the Duenos Inscription); and medial *β, which instead devoiced in Oscan-Umbrian.
Do the anti-glottalists really think a language could have had /d g/ without /b/ for thousands of years, and that multiple descendants could have maintained the same typologically unusual arrangement until the earliest attestations of the Italic languages and of archaic Greek around the ninth century BC?

DOJ Clears Gates of Sex Trafficking
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), Feb. 15, 2023.--Department of Justice announced today that they’re dropping any charges against 40-year-old Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.) for sex trafficking.  Many Democrats are disappointed hoping to destroy Gaetz politically, a big past supporter of 76-year-old former President Donald Trump.  Trump announced his third run for president Nov. 15, 2022, counting on loyalists like Gaetz to jump on the Trump bandwagon.  “The Department of Justice has confirmed to Congressman Gaets’s attorneys that their investigation has concluded and that he will not be charged with any crimes,” the DOJ tatement said.  Gaetz, a two-term Congressman, received national publicity for his vocal support of Trump, making him a pariah to the U.S. press.  How the U.S. press gets away with its extreme prejudice against Trump or any other candidate for public office is anyone’s guess.
News in today’s America is tainted by Democrat political bias, with most members of the press strongly liberal.  Instead of reporting facts, the press skews the facts against Republicans, with Gaetz being one of its favorite targets.  Gaetz, a member of the ultra-right wing Freedom Caucus, unnerved fellow Republicans when he refused to back 58-year-old former House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for House Speaker, taking the process an unprecedented 15 ballots.  Things got so bad on the House floor, Gaetz nearly came to blows with 58 year-old Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Al.), who lashed out in frustration against Gaetz.  But by far, Gaetz has been under the gun with the DOJ investigating whether he participated in sex-for-gifts with teenage girls, something that could have ended his career.  Gaetz was a close friend of former Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg, who was convicted of sex trafficking.
Greenberg, with whom Gaetz attended the same parties, was charged, convicted and sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for sex trafficking with under-aged minors.  DOJ officials investigated a party in the Bahamas where Gaetz took with his hand-surgeon donor Jason Pirozzolo where Greenberg was charge with sex crimes.  How Gaetz got off the hook is anyone’s guess but the DOJ dropped its investigation.  Apart from Gaetz’s scrutiny by the DOJ, he was by far persecuted for his support of Trump, something that could come back to haunt him in 2024.  Gaetz hasn’t announced any endorsement in the 2024 election, knowing that his 44-year-old friend Gov. Ron DeSantis might run in 2024.  DeSantis has a lot of GOP donors encouraging him to jump into the ring, believing that the party needs a fresh face in 2024.  President Joe Biden, 80, has not announced his intent yet.
Gaetz upped his political capital with the DOJ taking him out of the hot seat, dropping its investigation.  Federal prosecutors also looked into whether or not Gaetz improperly took money or granted favors to the medical marijuana industry in Florida.  On those grounds as well, federal prosecutors couldn’t find any credible evidence of wrongdoing by the 40-year-old Congressman.  House Ethics Committee announced in April 2021 that it was looking into any improper dealings in Florida with the medial marijuana lobby.  House ethics investigators aren’t likely to reach any conclusions about Gaetz’s ties to Florida’s medial marijuana lobby.  At age 40, Gaetz plays close to the edge but so far has eluded any serious charges.  If he plays his cards right, he could be a popular conservative in the GOP heading into 2014, possibly a kingmaker with DeSantis looking for support.
Gaetz’s had the media put a target on his back for his past support of Trump, especially in the wake of the FBI’s Aug. 8, 2022 Mar-a-Lago raid.  Gaetz gave Trump the benefit of the doubt all Democrats various charges, especially about the classified files and Jan. 6, 2020 Capitol riots.  Gaetz infuriated Democrats and the press not jumping on lets charge Trump bandwagon.  Now that the DOJ decided to not charge Gaetz, look for the high profile young congressman to rise steadily in GOP ranks.  If Gaetz presses DeSantis to keep the Trump agenda, including his opposition to the Ukraine War, he’ll find himself getting more traction for the GOP nominee.  There’s enough folks in the GOP looking or a new face in 2024.  DeSantis could benefit from the desire of voters to move one from geriatric politicians, whether Trump or Biden, and sneak into the White House in 2024.
Cleared from the DOJ for any wrongdoing in the sex trafficking scandal, the sky is the limit for Gaetz looking to move up in GOP ranks.  If he keeps his principles of limited government and America First, he’ll help DeSantis win over a lot of Trump voters who will eventually realize that DeSantis is more electable than Trump in 2024.  Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, 49, needs to work feverishly to confront pernicious Democrat and media propaganda about how Republicans would rob citizens on their Social Security and Medicare.  Democrats and the press did such an effective job of discrediting Trump in 2020, it handed the public Biden with all that’s gone wrong.  Cleared of wrongdoing, Gaetz looks to jump to the top of the GOP heap, pushing DeSantis in 2024 to carry on the Trump agenda, only giving the party a new look.

“Let’s talk about the Mothers of Gynecology:
For too long, 19th Century men like Dr. James Marion Sims have been considered the “fathers of gynecology”. But it’s actually the incredible enslaved women and children who were experiment on WITHOUT anesthesia( invented in 1846) who are the true pioneers.Sims used anesthesia for his white patients but not is black victims.
Three of these women’s names are known: Anarcha Westcott, Lucy Zimmerman and Betsy Harris. Anarcha was only 17 when she survived 30 unsuccessful and painful surgeries.
Dr. Sims held the belief that Black people, especially Black women didn’t feel pain, a racists belief that still permeate in medicine today. He perfected his surgery that continues to help women, but let’s remember the true heroes”

Babygate Analysis/Conclusions: A Non-Larry Perspective
Tumblr media
I'm prefacing this post with a few disclaimers:
After some consideration, I chose to write this without factoring in Larry whatsoever. No Larry-related points, proof, or speculation in any way. This is solely analyzing babygate from an unbiased perspective.
I don't claim to know the entire truth. It is impossible for any of us to know.  What I conclude is based on direct evidence, circumstantial evidence, research, and analysis.
I am willing to discuss opposing views. I’m happy to talk about the topic in a civil, kind, and mature matter. I will dismiss any discourse that is aggressive, immature, and so on.
I did not include every single opinion/conclusion/piece of evidence I found. I condensed my thoughts as much as possible (and this is still a novel-length post). There are so many more points I can think of. However, babygate masterposts cover all of that; I’ll link to some of those at the end.
The conclusion points aren't in a very specific order. I aimed to list related points one after another. Aside from that, it's not in order of "hardest to weakest" evidence.
Please read “Author’s Notes” for additional clarity/input. They interject thoughts/etc. that I feel are necessary to include.
Lastly, I included links to every source I cited in this post. However, I did not tag the Tumblr users. I’m not sure if they are comfortable with having Babygate questions/comments directed to their blogs. If you are a linked source and want to be tagged, please let me know!
My Initial Reaction To Babygate
In February of 2020, I received several messages on LateToLarry requesting that I analyze something called “babygate”. I had no idea what babygate meant at the time.
I learned what it meant, and prior to any research I felt the theory was so absurd. I also felt uncomfortable analyzing it because I believed I’d feel bias as a single mom. The idea of discussing a random child in depth initially bothered me, too. I declined to analyze it last year.
However, I did a LOT of research over time. My opinion has changed significantly. Below, I’ve shared my main conclusions and analysis about babygate. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy my post!
1. No Paternity Test Was Performed Prior To The Pregnancy Announcement
Tumblr media
Louis was/is a prominent celebrity and has a current net worth of $70 million. From legal, financial, and practical standpoints, it makes no sense for him to choose not to get a test.
It’s unheard of in Hollywood and the entertainment industry. Any sensible team -lawyers, PR reps, managers, advisors, etc. - would not just go along with it. They are employed to protect his career and image.
The Opposing Views
A. “Briana/Louis didn’t want to risk miscarriage with prenatal testing.”
Non-invasive testing is completely safe for fetuses and pregnant women, so there’s no medical reason for the lack of testing.
B. “Louis chose not to get the test done because he wanted to be a father and was invested in the pregnancy/parenting.”
Time has shown that this is not true. Louis does not have custody; there was a brief custody case in 2016 that led nowhere. He does not have a consistent or prominent role in the child’s life.
Conclusion
There is no logical reason for the lack of paternity testing prior to the announcement unless Louis knew he was not the father and all parties knew this to be true.
2. There Was No Confirmation Of A Paternity Test After The Birth
I’ll keep this section fairly short. A quick Google search returns dozens of conflicting reports. Many of them state that Louis demanded a paternity test shortly after birth. Other reports state that he has never pursued a paternity test.
Here are a few examples:
“Louis Tomlinson not interested in paternity test” - Business Standard
“EXCLUSIVE: Louis Tomlinson Demanded a DNA Test “As Soon as the Baby Was Born”” - InTouch Weekly
“Louis Tomlinson: No DNA Test Needed ... Positive Freddie's His Son” -TMZ
“Louis Tomlinson & Briana Jungwirth: WhyHe Had DNA Test Done on His Newborn Son” - Hollywood Life
This Twitter thread discusses TMZ reports that - as of 2020 - no DNA test was done.
Conclusion
There is no reliable confirmation that Louis pursued a paternity test. The media cannot come to a general/factual consensus.
Again, there is no reasonable explanation for the lack of paternity testing unless Louis knows he is not the father of the child.
3. The Conception-To-Birth Timeline Is Inconsistent/Unreliable
Tumblr media
Pregnancy and conception as a whole can be rather confusing; timelines from conception to birth are unique to each person. Having said that, Briana’s timeline is full of glaring inconsistencies that don’t add up.
I’ll begin with this timeline based on bulletprooflarry’s post and my own research. Dates I’ve added myself include linked sources:
May 5th, 2015 - Louis and Briana were first seen together in public.
May 6th to May 31st, 2015 - Briana and her mom followed baby-related social medial accounts.
May 12th, 2015 - Louis and Briana were pictured together in public.
July 3rd, 2015 - Louis is seen with Briana’s brother in Hollywood.
July 14th, 2015 - The first pregnancy report is published.
August 4th, 2015 - Louis confirms pregnancy on GMA.
January 21st, 2016 - The child is reportedly born.
Based on the dates above, these are the possible dates/milestones for her pregnancy:
Scenario A - If conception occurred on May 5th, Briana was 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant on January 21st, 2016. This is considered an early-term birth and about 26% of births occur at 37 weeks.
Scenario B - If conception occurred on May 12th, Briana was 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant on January 21st. This is considered a late-term or late premature birth and about 10% of births occur at 36 weeks.
These dates matter because Briana’s alleged hospital stay was not consistent with a premature or early-term birth. She was pictured in public - healthy and holding a baby carrier - within one week of giving birth.
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
If she gave birth based on the dates above, it’s extremely unlikely that she or the baby would be out in public so soon.
Below are screenshots of an additional timeline from an archived Tumblr post. It provides excellent points about more timeline inconsistencies:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The main inconsistencies and red flags are bolded in the post. It supports the unreliable conception timeline, and it also mentions my next point - the official pregnancy announcement.
The post above mentions that the Jungwirth family followed baby-related accounts before Briana could possibly know she was pregnant. Here’s one screenshot from skepticallarrie proving it:
Tumblr media
I’ve also seen several posts that show inconsistencies with the size of Briana’s baby bump. Unfortunately, the most reliable post no longer exists. You can view a web archive of Briana’s pregnancy photos, but most of the image links are broke.
The only post I have saved is a web archive of a long babygate post. The beginning of the post contains photos showing discrepancies in the size of Briana’s baby bump.
The Opposing Views
“Pregnancy looks different on everybody, everyone recovers differently, etc.”
Yes, this is true and a valid point! As a woman who has gone through multiple pregnancies and two live births, I truly understand this argument.
However, the sheer amount of inconsistencies are what make this a red flag. There are too many unreliable and contradicting points to brush this off. It goes beyond the point of “well, each person has a different experience”.
Conclusion
There are a few conclusions/scenarios I believe you can draw from the information above:
Briana was pregnant prior to meeting Louis.
Briana was never pregnant in the first place.
Both are valid to consider, but I personally believe she was never pregnant.
(Author’s note: My calculation for dates are based on the date of alleged conception. Most due date calculators, by default, use the date of a woman’s last mentrual period - LMP - to provide estimations.
I also used Date Duration Calendar for my calculations. Accessible due date calculators only allowed me to input dates from 2019/2020. Depending on the tools and dates you use, your mileage may vary.)
4. The Announcement Itself Was Highly Unusual
This point ties into the first and third points. I don’t consider it a major piece of evidence, but it’s noteworthy due to the other points.
So, there are a few reasons why the Good Morning America announcement stands out.
A. If Briana got pregnant on May 5th, then she was approximately 10 weeks pregnant when the first pregnancy report was published. This also means she was approximately 13 weeks pregnant at the time of the GMA announcement.
If Briana got pregnant on May 12th, she was approximately nine weeks pregnant at the time of the first report and approximately 12 weeks pregnant at the time of the GMA announcement.
B. The public announcement on Good Morning America raises a lot of questions. I’ve had multiple issues embedding the video; the bolded link takes you to the GMA announcement on YouTube.
Anyways, these questions/thoughts - disregarding any Larry theories -  come to mind when watching the video:
This is a segment for promoting/discussing their album/music.
The baby announcement is the sole non-album/music related topic that is mentioned during the segment.
The announcement is not organically worked into the segment as a natural talking point.
Louis’ reactions - such as bringing the microphone to his lips and not talking - is very unlike his standard interview demeanor.
The male interviewer and the band members have noticeable facial expressions and body language that suggest discomfort, stress, or awkwardness.
A post by skepticalarrie draws similar conclusions. Her post is much more detailed than mine, and I highly recommend reading/viewing it.
(Author’s Note: I’ve touched upon this on LateToLarry and will make a post here eventually, but body language and facial expressions are valid. They’re valid to the point that they are used in court cases.)
Conclusion
My conclusions here are twofold. One is that:
Announcing a pregnancy - especially a celebrity-related pregnancy - this early is extremely uncommon and unlikely.
The announcement itself seems out of place and very forced.
This particular point, to me, is not extremely strong evidence. I still think it’s worth keeping in mind and is relevant to other points here. So, I’ve included it either way.
5. Briana Posted Stolen Pregnancy/Baby Photos On Social Media
Tumblr media
(EDIT: I wrote this piece before the recent release of Briana’s alleged ultrasound and don’t have time to add it. It’s pretty strong proof and can easily be found in recent babygate posts.)
Babygate posts often point out that Briana and the Jungwirth family used stolen/fake pregnancy and baby photos on social media. It’s a well-known topic that’s often discussed.
I’m condensing this section to a few examples. I encourage additional research if you’d like to see more.
A. This Tumblr post shows stolen baby bump photos that Briana’s cousin Ashley posted on Twitter:
Tumblr media
B. This Tumblr post and Twitter post show a stolen baby photo that Briana posted on Instagram:
Tumblr media
(Author’s Note: Since I was not active in the fandom at the time, I am relying on information from other blogs and social media posts. I vetted my sources pretty well, but any false information is my own mistake.)
Conclusions
The only word that sums this up is “suspicious”. Using stolen photos of a pregnant woman/baby is not necessary if you are legitimately pregnant. That’s really what it boils down to. It lends to the conclusion that Briana was never pregnant.
6. Photos And Videos Of The Child Are Heavily Altered And Manipulated
Tumblr media
It is indisputable that many photos and videos of the child are heavily manipulated to alter his appearance. This goes beyond filters, lighting, and angles.
Several detailed posts show the manipulations; here are some examples:
A web archive of all Photoshop evidence from tellmethisisnotlove
An in-depth post from genuineconspiracy that includes detailed photo evidence.
A video post from freefreddiereign that shows Photoshop evidence based on photos the child.
There is no doubt that his facial features are frequently altered. This is easy to conclude using any free software that detects Photoshop. As a photographer myself, I can easily spot the manipulations.
(Author’s Note: I know that directly discussing the child is controversial. When I first heard of babygate, my initial reaction was discomfort about analyzing a child.
I quickly learned/concluded that his family members are responsible for heavily putting him in the public eye. All content I’ve used for research is based on the family’s posts.
Still, I have personally chosen not post pictures of the child, but the links I am sharing contain photos/videos of him.
Additionally, I used FotoForensics on photos of myself prior to writing this. It was important to me to feel absolutely certain about this point. I’m fine with sharing my own FotoForensics images if anyone is curious.)
The Opposing Views
A. “Freddie looks like Louis in pictures that aren’t Photoshopped.”
Parentage cannot be based on whether or not a child looks like his mother/father. I understand the viewpoint, but it’s simply not evidence. Additionally, thinking the child looks like Louis is a matter of opinion.
There’s also the fact that appearance means nothing overall. Science backs up this statement very well. Examples and references:
“How can children from the same parents look so different?” by HowStuffWorks
“My Baby Looks Nothing Like Me: A Genetic Explanation” by FamilyEducation
Additionally, here is a personal anecdote. I have two sons close to Freddie’s age. One of them looks exactly like his father and nothing like me. The other looks exactly like me and nothing like his father. Despite how they look, they are both of them are our biological children.
Conclusion
There is no reasonable explanation for altering the child’s appearance - particularly to make him look more similar to Louis.
I cannot think of a single argument as to why the Jungwirth family would do this unless they need/want the child to look a specific way.
7. Johannah Deakin’s Official Obituary Does Not Mention The Child
When looking into babygate, I read the argument that the child is legitimately Louis’ son because he is listed as her grandchild in Internet-based obituaries and announcements.
I also read the counter-argument that Louis’ mother’s official newspaper/print obituary does not mention the child.  I recall seeing proof, but I did not save it at the time. I did some research and this appears to be true.
The Doncaster Free Press is a local weekly newspaper in Doncaster, and it published an article about the funeral. The article is NOT an obituary itself, but it does list her obituary details. The publication does not list the child among the surviving family members.
If a mistake is made regarding these details, it’s typical for newspapers to post a correction addressing a misprint. Upon further research, the Doncaster Free Press did not issue a correction at any time.
(Author’s Note: I lost my own mother and am personally familiar with how local obituaries are written. Immediate family members - i.e. spouses and adult children - provide information regarding surviving family members.)
Conclusion
The conclusion here is straightforward. Louis and his family chose not to include the child in his mother’s official obituary. This strongly suggests that he is not legitimately related to Louis.
My Opinion-Based Conclusions
Update: After some consideration, I am saving my opinion-based conclusions for a separate post. I originally intended to include them here; transparency is important to me.
Unfortunately, the section became rather long and took away from the main post points. So, I’ll be working on a post that’s just my opinion-based conclusions. In the meantime, feel free to message me with any questions.
Final Thoughts
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my post! I appreciate the interest expressed for it, and I hope it lives up to expectations.
Again, I want to reiterate this is:
Not an all-inclusive post; I narrowed down my findings to seven points.
Not a masterpost on babygate.
Purposely omitting any potential Larry-related points to remove bias.
I’ve reread this quite a few times, and it’s as error-free as possible. If you spot any mistakes/errors, I’m completely open to making corrections. Just kindly let me know.
This list contains references/research about babygate that I consider the most reliable. It includes Larry and non-Larry related Babygate content.
Tumblr posts tagged with babygate by Tumblr use genuineconspiracy.
A web archive of babygate posts by Tumblr user tellmethisisnotlove (her account was deactivated by staff).
Tumblr posts tagged with babygate by darkrainbowlouis.
Tumblr posts tagged with babygate by skepticalarrie.
Lastly, if there’s interest in an opinion-related post or Larry-related post, I’ll consider writing them. Feel free to let me know as you all did with this post.
Thanks!

The neural basis of confirmation bias
The posterior medial prefrontal cortex plays a critical role in confirmation bias. Existing judgments alter the neural representation of information strength, leaving us less likely to alter opinions we disagree with.

Offener Brief an queer.de
Liebes Queer Communications GmbH Team,
Bessere Version: https://asexualitaet.wordpress.com/2020/06/14/offener-brief-an-queer-de/
Erasure (Unsichtbarmachung, wie z.B. dem Nicht-Eingestehen von Marginalisierung, dem Fehlen von Repräsentation, dem absichtlichen Ignorieren der Bedürfnisse gewisser sozialer Gruppen) hat für Asexuelle echte Auswirkungen,  wie Dr. Aasha Brianna Foster-Mahfuz in Measuring Social Invisibility and Erasure: Development of the Asexual Microaggressions Scalezitiert: “A person or group of people can suffer real damage, real distortion, if the people or society around the mirror back confining or demeaning or contemptible pictures of themselves. Nonrecognition or misrecognition can inflict harm, can be a form of oppression, imprisoning someone in a false, distorted, and reduced mode of being” (p. 25). [The Politics of Recognition, Charles Taylor (1994)]
Ace Erasure – Spongebob Schwammkopf
Ja.
Asexuellen fehlt beinahe jegliche (positive) Repräsentation, wie der  Where We Are on TV Report von GLAAD (x) mit eindeutigen Zahlen hinterlegt.
Pancake (Pronomen: x/xs)

Tumblr media
The evolution of the media has been fraught with concerns and problems. Accusations of mind control, bias, and poor quality have been thrown at the media on a regular basis. Yet the growth of communications technology allows people today to find more information more easily than any previous generation. Mass media can be print, radio, television, or Internet news. They can be local, national, or international. They can be broad or limited in their focus. The choices are tremendous.
This timeline shows the growing importance of mass communication in increasingly compressed historical time periods. It is not an all-inclusive timeline. It is intended to provide an historical perspective and the basis for further study of the rapid development of modern media.
Rapid technological change in recent years has created an enhanced awareness of the importance and influence of different media in contemporary society. But in fact, mediated communication has been key to human existence ever since the birth of human culture. Media, understood in a broad sense as everything from rock carvings, oral hymns, coins, statues, letters, newspapers, photography, radio, TV, film, advertisements and Twitter, all have histories of their own. Once upon a time, old media were new and introduced fresh modes of connecting peoples and places. Furthermore, some media, once pivotal, are almost forgotten today. Yet, sometimes what we think of as an up-to-the-minute way of communicating actually bears important traces of ancient tradition of human interaction. Throughout history, people have used media in diverse and often unpredicted ways. That is why the power of different media is as relevant to ancient civilisations as it is to the digital age.
Media History has been an academic subject at Lund University since the 1970s, but under different names. Emerging from literature studies, it originally directed its focus towards newspapers as literature, and journalism as an art. Gradually the scope widened, with studies conducted into changes in media power, the production of journalistic ideals, and the formation of journalistic identities. The fundamental assumption of Media History is that history is needed in order to understand the media, but also that knowledge about media is crucial to the interpretation of history. If you are a history student, Media History will help you to improve your comprehension of the complexity and mediality of different historical source materials.

Quote
If you disagree with someone, it might not make any difference how certain they say they are, as during disagreement your brain's sensitivity to the strength of people's beliefs is reduced, finds a study led by UCL and City, University of London. The brain scanning study, published in Nature Neuroscience, reveals a new type of confirmation bias that can make it very difficult to alter people's opinions. "We found that when people disagree, their brains fail to encode the quality of the other person's opinion, giving them less reason to change their mind," said the study's senior author, Professor Tali Sharot (UCL Psychology & Language Sciences). The researchers found that one brain area, the posterior medial prefrontal cortex (pMFC), was involved in incorporating another person's beliefs into one's own. Brain activity differed depending on the strength of the partner's wager, but only when they were already in agreement. When the partners disagreed, there was no relationship between the partner's wager and brain activity in the pMFC region. The pMFC is known to be involved in decision-making, and helps to signal when a decision should be changed. The researchers say that the tendency to ignore the strength of opposing beliefs may generate polarisation and facilitate the maintenance of false beliefs. First author Dr. Andreas Kappes (City, University of London) said: "Our findings could help make sense of some puzzling observations in domains including science and politics." Professor Sharot added: "Opinions of others are especially susceptible to the confirmation bias, perhaps because they are relatively easy to dismiss as subjective. Because humans make the vast majority of decisions—including professional, personal, political and purchase decisions—based on information received from others, the identified bias in using the strength of others' opinions is likely to have a profound effect on human behaviour."
Strength of conviction won't help to persuade when people disagree

All Things Hetero
The purpose of Homophobia, Heterosexism and Heteronormativity is to distinguish the differences between all three terms and their interpretations of them between 3 authors; Suzanne Pharr & Audre Lorde (homophobia and heterosexism), and Miriam Smith (heteronormativity). This reading is important to feminism because it relates to many concepts of feminism itself. Lesbians are mostly much more likely to be a victim than gay men, however both do become victims much more often than heterosexual individuals. The difference between the number hetero female victims and homosexual female victims to violence whether it is physical fighting, sexual assault or mental abuse is significant.
HOMOPHOBIA & HETEROSEXISM:
Suzanne Pharr states the following in her book Homophobia: A Weapon of Sexism; “Homophobia works effectively as a weapon of sexism because it is joined with a powerful arm, heterosexism” (pg 241). Pharr continues with her explanation as to why homophobia and heterosexism are linked. She states that homophobia is based upon the climate that heterosexism creates; heterosexism is the belief that heterosexual individuals are dominant and are seen as the norm in our society for as long as we can remember. It gives us heterosexuals power and privilege over gays, lesbians, bisexuals, etc.. Audre Lorde’s definition of heterosexism is very similar, however she goes into more depth about homophobia. She believes that homophobia is the fear of people who are in love with one’s same sex rather than just pure hatred for homosexuals.
IN DEPTH HOMOPHOBIA
There are 4 types of homophobia described;
1. Personal Homophobia - is the bias one feels due their own feelings in regards to homosexual individuals and relationships whether it is a romantic or sexual relationship.
2. Interpersonal Homophobia - is the behaviour an individual promotes or exhibits that comes from the personal bias they have against homophobia (personal homophobia).
3. Institutional Homophobia - are the many ways government run institutions, businesses and even churches choose to discriminate against homosexuality. An example would be banning them from attending church. This can also be referred to as heterosexism.
4. Cultural Homophobia - is the notion of social standards that “indicate” being heterosexual is the only moral sexual orientation and that everyone should be heterosexual. This can also be referred to as heterosexism.
HETERONORMATIVITY
Heteronormativity, as written by Miriam Smith, means all of society and many social organizations are built off the idea that heterosexual orientation and romantic relationships are the dominant of sexuality. It is also stated that “homosexuality is deviant” (242). This puts gays, lesbians, bisexuals as well as many other sexual preferences individuals may have, outside the norm of our society; it is not seen as normal behaviour.
An example would be that the assumption towards sexuality is always heterosexual UNLESS otherwise stated. This is how the vast majority of people today assume sexuality because of this idea of heteronormativity. Another, more political example would be the lack of financial support or benefits provided due to one’s sexuality which was once the case here in Canada. This was based off the notion that only hetero couples should be given medial and pension benefits because this is the “only form of couple that is worthy..” (242).

'A recent survey by the Wall Street Journal and NBC News found that just over half of those surveyed said the media are being too critical of Trump and his administration. And a similar amount-53%-said that the media's coverage has exaggerated any problems within the Trump government.... According to the survey, almost 80% of those who picked Fox as their primary news source agreed that the news media and other elites are exaggerating the problems of the Trump administration, because they are uncomfortable and threatened by the kind of change that Trump represents. Even among viewers of more [Extreme Leftist] networks such as MSNBC, however, the survey found that about 40% of those who answered the survey agreed with the statement that the media are exaggerating Trump's problems. Even before these attacks, however, surveys have shown that public trust in the media is at all-time lows, the result of a sustained downward slide of more than a decade. Last fall, a poll done by Gallup found that only 32% of those surveyed said they had either a great deal or a fair amount of trust in the media, down from more than 50% in 1997. And in Edelman's recent Trust Barometer study, which it does annually, the public-relations firm found that just 35% of respondents said that they trusted the media. Much like the Journal/NBC News poll, the Edelman survey also found significantly lower levels of trust in the media among those who voted for Trump. Just 15% of Trump supporters said that they trusted the press to report the news fairly, compared with about 26% of Clinton voters.'

Bianca Devins & mediales Ace Erasure
Was war passiert?
Tumblr media
Bildbeschreibung: Social media only added to the horror.[...]Bianca’s murder immediately became something of a canvas onto which people could project their own agendas. Rumors spread that Bianca was asexual (false),[...]Homosexual agenda (or gay agenda) is a term introduced by sectors of the Christian religious right (primarily in the United States) as a disparaging way to describe the advocacy of cultural acceptance and normalization
Tumblr media
Bildbeschreibung: Ej Dickson @ejdickson ·22. Jan.just a reminder that LGBT media outlets — the publications we need to call out this vile bigotry — are getting decimated left and right rn 11. Dez. 2016 Answer to @ejdicksonsecond of all they actually acknowledge the existence of LGBT people which is something! 12. Juni 2016[...]the erasure of the LGBT community by right wing politicians is one of the worst
Tumblr media
Bildbeschreibung: [...]Bianca’s murder immediately became something of a canvas onto which people could project their own agendas. Rumors spread that Bianca was asexual(possible)[...]Editor’s Note: This story has been amended to clarify that while Bianca submitted a photo to the @ThisIsWhatAsexualLooksLike account, her friends and family, including her mother and sister, told Rolling Stone they did not believe she identified as asexu
Besonders medial.
Oh ja, Unsichtbarsein bringt so viele Vorteile /sarcasm
