I know there's a lot of people following this account whose kinks come from traumatic events, either when you were young or when you grew up.

I wanted to remind yall that none of us are evil for coping with our trauma in this way. We are not evil for getting turned on by certain situations. As long as everything we do doesn't hurt anyone and it's consensual we do NOT owe anyone anything. You don't have to feel guilty for it.

Impulse stares at the shivering doll in the hole. He grimaces. He looks up at Iskall.

“So like. Have you considered doing this in a less morbid way than making me kill a small copy of myself that is clearly trying to run away?” he asks. He can’t quite keep the combination of mild horror and sarcasm out of his voice.

Iskall peers into the hole. Iskall looks back up at Impulse. Iskall shrugs. “I mean, it’s not that bad, really. You do plenty of morbid things.”

“It’s begging me not to kill it, and it looks like me.”

“Yeah but it’s like. You know. Wooo. Piñata,” Iskall says, making an explosion motion with his hands. “And the candy—in this case experience and items—goes everywhere! It’s like a birthday party, yes?”

Impulse stares at the doll, which has covered its face as it realizes it can’t quite escape the hole it’s been put in. It’s kind of sad. If it didn’t also look exactly like Impulse, maybe it would be less sad, but now Impulse is imagining an alternate version of himself getting buried in a hole for the purpose of getting stabbed, and he’s gonna be honest, it’s freaking him out slightly.

“A birthday party?” he repeats.

“Yep, a birthday party where you kill yourself,” Iskall says, nodding.

Impulse scans his face. “You see nothing wrong with that sentence.”

“Why would I?”

“You know I’m beginning to realize why the vault gods are like that,” Impulse says idly, and then he stabs himself. There’s a single dying scream then, as promised, the doll explodes with so many items the very world itself hitches for a moment to figure out what’s happening. He stares again for a moment before shrugging himself.

“Honestly still less weird than having to take my armor off my corpse,” he says.

“That’s the spirit!” Iskall says. “Feel free to keep making them, yes? It is good of you to catch up so you can also fight Harold.”

Impulse considers asking what, exactly, the herald is. No one has explained yet. Then again, at this rate, the herald will know the exact time and date of his final, permanent death, so he decides discretion is the better part of valor and just starts picking up carbon instead.

That will be a later Impulse problem. Assuming this game doesn’t make him stab him. Not off the table, apparently. Especially if he can name dolls. He should check.
