Hiiii, can I request little reader x Regina, where Gina walks in on regressed r and they're terrified of her reaction? Maybe they've been dating for a while and were scared to tell their girlfriend in case she reacted badly, but Regina just takes care of them like they're the most precious thing in the world
I Will
Regina George x fem! reader
Warnings: fluff, age regression
All the quiet nights you bear
Seal them up with care
No one needs to know they're there
For I will hold them for you
Cause' all I ever wanted is here
All I ever wanted
Tumblr media
It was Saturday morning and you were supposed to meet Regina at her place. However, you ended up not going due to…something that happened before you left the house. Sometimes…you used age regression to cope with stress. That was voluntary, other times it gets triggered by things such as situations that reminded you of trauma from when you were younger. Parents constantly arguing was a sure-fire way to get you closer to that point. The last couple weeks have been rough for you. Because of the frequency of which your parents seem to be at each other’s throats. It gave you instant flashbacks to when you were younger, hearing them basically have a screaming match with each other and you having to lock yourself in your room so you didn’t get yourself caught in the middle hearing them talk about you.
You thought Regina would have called you, upset. But she didn’t. You were supposed to meet her an hour ago, but she hadn’t even texted you.
Tumblr media
Actually, scratch that. As soon as that thought crossed your mind, your phone buzzed. You saw her texts, but ignored them. Not entirely on purpose since you couldn’t exactly type properly right now. Your eyes focused on your tablet again for several minutes before your phone going off diverted your attention. You grabbed your phone and shoved it under a pillow so that it was out of sight, then resumed your cartoons. You were soon interrupted again, however. When a string of harsh knocks on your front door scared you out of your wits. Clutching onto your blanket and stuffed cat, your heart admittedly started to race. Then a rock was thrown at your window, “y/n! Let me in! Please! I need to know if you’re okay!”
You walked up to your window and looked at her. She saw you, made eye contact and was immediately relieved. “Baby, let me inside, please!” She hollered. You backed away from the window, leaving your room and headed downstairs to open the door. When you opened up the door, there she was, standing right in front of you on the porch. You watched her face closely, a part of you was worried about her reaction to finding out you were an age regressor. Another part of you…just wanted her to hold you. The ‘bigger’ part of you that crept up, won. Worries took over your mind in the moment. You were nervous as her eyes slightly narrowed. “Are you okay?”
You shook your head. A little too honest, eh?
Her brows were knit together in concern. “What’s wrong? Are you sick?”
She doesn’t seem to be saying anything about your kiddy pyjamas, the fuzzy blanket draped over your shoulders or the stuffed cat in your arm. So that was a relief. Regina’s never seen this side of you though. So you didn’t exactly know what she was thinking apart from the worry about whether or not you were sick. You shut the door, took her hand and led her upstairs, for the lack of better words…you thought you’d just show her. She didn’t resist either.
“Okay. What’s going on, baby?”
“Nothing.” You managed.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” She asked, sitting down on your bed with you.
“Yeah.”
“Okay.” She answered softly, stroking your hair, “I’m just glad to see you.” You leaned into her, head resting on her chest, she naturally wrapped her arms around you.
“What ya watching?”
“Arthur.” You mumbled.
“That’s…” The blonde squinted, “Fun. Did you eat your breakfast yet?”
You shook your head. “You want something to eat?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“No.”
“Baby, you need to eat something. It’s past noon.”
You kept quiet, lisp pursed together.
“Why don’t we go check out the kitchen, huh?” She suggests, rubbing your back. You agreed with a nod, she then took you downstairs with her. You followed behind her, every step of the way. “Do you want some hashbrowns? And chicken nuggets?”
“Okay.” You gave in.
Regina has some questions, honestly but she couldn’t bring herself to ask them. She wasn’t sure if you were going to want to talk to her more than you were doing so right now. For whatever reason, Regina’s next best option was Gretchen. After putting some of those on a tray, she popped that into the oven to bake, Regina took her phone out of her pocket, glancing at you as she does. You were just staring into space, hugging that you. But at least she knew you weren’t sick or anything.
Tumblr media
After texting Gretchen, Regina put her phone away after a brief Google search. “Baby, come here.” Regina opened up her arms. You quietly walked up to her and stayed in her embrace. “Drink some water okay?” She requested softly. You nodded, face smushed up against her chest. Regina pondered for a moment, “What cup do you wanna use?”
You broke away from the hug just enough to look at her, then you turned around and reached for a Tinkerbell plastic cup on the shelf. “Alright.” Regina carefully let go of you, rinsed your cup and went over to your fridge to fill it up with some water. “Here.”
“Thank you.” You told her shyly.
Truth be told, Regina was resisting the very strong urge to squish your cheeks. “You’re welcome, baby. Let’s go sit down?”
You nodded, still sipping on your water as she took your hand and led you over to the couch. “Do you want to watch TV?”
“No.” You put your cup down, scooting closer to Regina and snuggled up against her. She wasn’t used to this sort of physical affection, this much of it at least. Not that she actually didn’t like it, but Regina just doesn’t really show it.
“You’re okay.” She rubs your back and pressed a fleeting kiss on the top of your head. “I got you, okay? Do you want to do anything? Read? Play games?”
“Can we do colouring?” You asked, voice slightly muffled due to the position you were in.
“Yeah. You wanna do that now or later?”
“Now?”
“Okay.” She nods, you led her up to your room and pulled out two colouring books along with crayons and colour pencils. You were then laid on your stomach on the floor to colour some pages. Regina sat beside you, just watching.
“Baby, I’ll be right back. Just gotta go get our chicken nuggets and hashbrowns.”
“…kay.”
“Okay. Stay right here.” Ruffling with your hair, you laughed, she went downstairs sporting a sneaky little smile on her face. She made sure you didn’t see it, though…she wasn’t too sure why she was hiding it. You’d certainly appreciate that energy and cheerfulness right now, she just wasn’t used to being, as she says ‘soft’. Even when she was that way with you, it was subtle to the point where only you would know because the difference from her usual behaviour was so minor. Not including the obvious nickname, that is.
Regina got the food out of the oven and plated it. She found a Pocahontas plate in the cupboard and guessed that it was yours so she took that one out for you. It really only took her five minutes at most since she had to decide on the drinks too, but when she returned, you were already back in your bed. “Here you go.” She flashes a crooked smile, setting down the plate in front of you carefully.
“Are you mad at me?” You asked while poking a nugget around on your plate. It wasn’t hot so you picked it up and took a bite.
Regina’s eyes went wide, “Baby, no. I’m not mad at you. I promise.”
You barely nodded, then continued eating in silence. “Shall we put on a movie, baby?” She suggested in an attempt to get your spirits up again. Regina wasn’t sure what happened in those last few minutes, but she hated that you asked that question. She’d never be mad at you, ever. You’ve never made her mad. Regina’s heart ached a little but she quickly forgot about that and chose to be present with you. “Let's watch a movie, hm? Which one’s your favourite?” She bent down slightly to catch your gaze while dragging your iPad closer. You went into the Disney+ app and put on Princess and the Frog. “That’s a good one.” Regina fully smiled, holding onto your hand, “You wanna sit here, bubs?” She was gesturing to her lap— you saw that through the corner of your eye.
“Yeah.” You nodded eagerly.
“Yeah?” Regina chuckled, “C’mon, sit here. Let’s finish lunch then we’ll play some games, how’s that sound? Good?”
“Good.” You agreed, settling yourself in her lap. She naturally wrapped her arm around your waist, then both of you ate the rest of your lunches in silence while watching the movie. You were all smiley again, so she was relieved.
“You wanna show me how to play the game, sweetie?” She asks, rubbing your back. Lunch was done, dishes were cleaned. And you were a little…clingy. “Or do you wanna take a nap?”
With your head nuzzled in the crook of her neck, you just stayed in her lap. You didn’t say anything, but Regina saw that you were pouting and your eyes were watery. “Hey…” She kisses the top of your head, “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“I’m ‘eepyyyyy.” You whined, “But I wanna play games.”
She bites back a chuckle, “We can nap first, then we can play whatever games you want for longer, how about that? Let’s get some rest, alright? Please?”
You showed no signs of letting her go, so she doesn’t say anything and just lets you stay on her lap. You were also completely silent so she took this chance to coax you to sleep by rocking you a little and rubbing your back.
“I want ice cream.”
“Okay, baby. But later.” She reasoned, “You’re tired, and upset already. I don’t want that. I want you to be happy and rested. So please? Close your eyes? We’ll get ice cream when you wake up, okay?”
You fell asleep in her arms, she was relieved you were asleep and could now use the time to process it all. She definitely needed to have a conversation with you about it, she just had to know how and when, especially since you seemed quite worried about her reaction when she first got here. Your nap gave her approximately four hours to think and reflect, then it was about 5pm so Regina had to have a plan for dinner too. She carefully put you down on your mattress then went downstairs to check the fridge and pantry once more. Ultimately, she ordered in some pizza from a nearby place since she was a bit tired from the day. It was quite a thing to come to know of, but Gretchen was right. All that mattered in the moment was that you were happy and safe. Nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than seeing you happy. She told you this. And she’s never said it before, she’s just always kind of showed it in a way of longer hugs and lingering kisses, occasionally a gift or two, nice dinners or brunch on anniversaries and important days, oh and also pretty frequent trips out of town just because.
“Reggie?”
“Yep?” She turned around to see you standing on the stairs with that awfully adorable sleepy look on your face.
“Can I have my ice cream now?”
Regina guffaws, “Oh, you remembered?” She motioned for you to walk over to her and you did.
“Mhm.”
She opened up the freezer door, “Alrighty, then. Take your pick, baby. Vanilla or…this one?” That’d be the frozen yogurt in the form of a popsicle. You pointed to the tub of vanilla. She gave in, easily. Scooping you some into a bowl and then handed you a spoon so you could finally enjoy some of that dessert.
“Hey, I ordered pizza for dinner.” She grins.
“Yay, I love pizza.”
“Yeah, you do.” She smooches you on the cheek, “Sit down. It’ll be here soon.”
Yeah, maybe you were too worried over nothing. Regina has been great so far and there hasn’t been much doubt about it once you fully let go and let yourself do what you needed to do. Truthfully, this was your biggest secret. A part of yourself you were trying to keep away from other people because you knew some people weren’t kind. For Regina, you just didn’t want to add on to her problems. She already has to deal with chronic pain and regular PT appointments after the accident. But maybe this was a little like a blessing in disguise. It’s already happened, so you just went with it and it turned out alright after all.

why do i always feel like everyone else knows something i don’t
like i constantly feel as if i’ve missed a crucial part of every conversation i’ve ever had, and like i’m the butt of everyone else’s jokes because it’s so painfully obvious that i’m not the same as them

hiii can i request a janis x regressed fem reader. nothing specific, just fluffy cuteness hehe. thank you:3 <3
Apple Juice
Summary: Janis worries when reader doesn't show up at school, only to find her girlfriend is perfectly fine, and little.
Warnings: Fluff, age regression
Pairings: Janis + Reader
Tumblr media
Y/n didn’t show up at school today, which wasn’t typical considering she was an excellent student. Janis knew you wouldn’t miss it for no reason and it made her worried, she texted you a few times but you hadn’t responded— up until now.
The text was a string of incoherent letters and emojis but she could make out a few words. She bit her lip in thought scanning the message over again, concluding you were regressed, she knew you tended to regress when stressed or overwhelmed, really a lot of factors went into it, and she was more than happy to help.
Also, from the looks of it, you were in a good mood… Maybe? Considering the happy emojis used, it wasn’t unlikely but also looks could be deceiving- and was that a frowny face?
Janis quickly shook her head, she was reading too much into things. She’d check on you later, and you’d be okay.
She hoped so.
Due to the worry for her girlfriend, she was very antsy in class. Art was her last period of the day, which she was usually happy with, but right now she just wanted to get out of here.
“Girl, tell that leg of yours to calm down, you’re shaking the table.” Damian spoke, shooting her a playful glare, “I’m trying to sketch. The Mona Lisa didn't happen on a shaky table.”
“And it also wasn’t created by a seventeen-year-old, gay man in the twenty-first century with a knack for annoying me.” Janis retorted, making Damian recoil.
“Rude, but okay.” he studied her, “Girl, what’s got you so worked up?” he asked, concern bubbling in his voice.
“Sorry, sorry. I just want to see y/n.” Janis bit her lip and sighed, worried for her precious girlfriend.
“Darling, she’s fine,” Damian patted her hand gently, then retracted his, “She probably just needed a day off, you know that girl overworks herself. Worst-case scenario she’s sick, but she would’ve told you if she was so calm down.”
No, you wouldn’t have been able to tell her since you were regressed, or at least she thought so. Still, she also knew you weren’t sick. Janis would’ve been able to tell the day before. So maybe she did have nothing to worry about. She nodded “Yeah, you’re right.”
She shrugged and decided to sketch you out a little picture. She knew you’d enjoy it.
_
You were startled by a knock on the door. Blinking rapidly, you internally debated whether or not to open it, you didn’t want to open the door for a stranger, and you knew that wasn’t good, so you just continued coloring in the Paw Patrol coloring book. You turned up the music playing through your headphones, trying to ignore it.
Only a minute later you heard the knock again, louder this time, and your irritation spiked. You got up and threw the marker down, muting the music, and walked towards the door.
“Baby, it’s Janis!” You heard from behind it, your irritation instantly faded and you smiled cheekily, fumbling with the lock and opening the door.
“Jan!” you practically tossed yourself on her, wrapping your arms around her waist then looking up at her, “Hi~”
She laughed, pulling back to get a look at you, her worried brown eyes scanning you, “Hey, sweetie,” You were still in your pajamas and had maker smugged on your face, the sight made her heart melt, “You weren’t at school today, I was worried.”
“I text you, though,” you pouted, not understanding her worry.
Janis chuckled and nodded, “Yes you did! Good job,” she patted your head tenderly, “Can come in?” you nodded eagerly.
“I draw, you wanna?” you asked, guiding her to the coffee table you were sitting at.
“Sure, honey.” she agreed, sitting down next to you criss-cross, and picking up a green marker, coloring in a tree idly. You drew like that in silence for a while, and then she turned to look at your focused face again, “Are you okay?” She was beyond curious to what might’ve caused this regression.
“Yes. Okay.” You nodded absentmindedly. She squinted at you, nose scrunching up for a second, then she relaxed.
“Good,” she looked down at your color page and tapped it with her pointer finger, “This is pretty neato if you ask me.” she grinned and ruffled your hair.
You giggled, “Neato.” You repeated, dragging the world out. She found your amusement endearing.
She set down the marker and nodded, “Yep, want to snuggle and watch TV?” you let out a small ask and nodded eagerly.
“Bluey?”
“Sure, sweetie. Bluey it is.” she stood slowly, gathering up the supplies and putting them away. She knew your parents would get irritated if they were left out, and probably be a little suspicious.
When she returned, you were already curled up comfortably on the couch, clicking the remote till you found what you wanted. She plopped down next to you with a dramatic sigh and you turned your head slightly to look at her and she grinned mischievously.
Suddenly, she scooped you up, and you giggled as she prepared your face with kisses, “Noo, it tickles!” you pushed her face away, and she pouted.
“No kisses?”
“Uh-uh,’ You shook your head, then laid your head on her shoulder, eyes fixated on the screen. You lay like that for a while, Jnais liked this show herself, she wouldn’t admit that out loud but she did, so it was more than tolerable. Especially since she got to spend time with you. She really did like taking care of you or simply just spending time with you when you were in this state, it made her feel almost special the fact you trusted her.
After a while, your voice broke the silence, “Can I have apple juice?” she couldn’t help but smile softly.
“Mhm, I know how my baby loves her apple juice,” she chuckled, “Snack too?” she asked knowingly, sliding you off her lap.
“Yes, pwease!” you gave her a cheeky grin that melted her heart and frankly made her want to squeeze you to death from pure cuteness. She got up to grab you a juice box, herself a glass of water since she was frankly thirsty too, and some goldfish in a bowl.
You were sitting rather politely at the coffee table once again, still staring at the characters dancing across the screen. She set them down, and you hummed out your thanks and drank and snacked. You were suddenly quiet again, but this silence was less peaceful, you seemed tense.
“What’s the matter, little one?” she asked softly, scooting forward to stroke your head.
“I dunno,” you shrugged, picking at your nails, “Mommy and Papa are yelling a lot, I don’t like it,” you mumbled, and her heart clenched, sympathizing deeply.
“It’s okay, it’s not your fault,” she whispered, you perked up at that.
“It’s not?” you sounded unsure.
“Nope, not one bit,” she tapped your nose and your smile reappeared, she loved that smile. She loved seeing your joy. Gosh, you made her such a softy.
After you finished the snacks, she put everything away. You two moved to your bedroom in case your dad came home early, and watched videos on Janis’s phone. She could tell by the way you were rubbing your eyes and the occasional yawn that you were getting tired.
“You wanna sleep, sweetheart?” she asked softly, clicking off your phone.
“Mhm, stay?” you asked, curling up more snuggly against her side.
“Of course, baby.” She smiled, kissing your forehead, watching you fall into some much-needed rest, quick to join you. She was right not to worry, but she knew she would again, after all, she loved you too much not to.

Little secret
Regina George x nb! reader
Warnings: age regression, fluff, crying
In which Regina finds that you are…little after an accidental slip.
Requested!
Tumblr media
The last two weeks were hectic, you had a test everyday. And then after school, you were off to work most days, only coming home after 10pm. Because of this, you hadn’t had much time to spend with Regina. She knew about the tests at school because she obviously had those too, she also knew you worked a part-time job after school— multiple days a week. You and Regina would FaceTime or at least text every night before you went to bed when you were busier. In other words, most of your time together with her would be at school.
Although…your part-time job was relatively new. You’ve only started it about two months ago. Were you more tired? Sure. Did you need the job? Absolutely. So you swallowed any unhappiness about the job and just did it. Regina seemed to have picked up on how withdrawn you’ve become ever since despite not saying anything about it yet. She knew you had better things to be worried about.
Today was Saturday, the tests have all been completed as of yesterday but you were currently at work and it sucked. It was so busy, and the customers have been so rude. You were trying your damn best to not lose your cool during such a busy time, and thank goodness it wasn't a day where you guys were understaffed. Noticing the time on the POS system in front of you, you saw that you had just twenty minutes left for your shift. Next, something completely unexpected happened: you saw Regina walk in and sit herself down on the bench by the door after a brief moment of eye contact with you. Weird, you thought. Why was she here? No, why was she here to pick you up from work on the day you decided you were going to finally destress when you got home? Destress by age regressing. That’s how you coped, and honestly, given the time you’ve had lately…it was terribly hard to fight the urge to not do so. You felt it happening, but you were literally forcing yourself to make sure it doesn’t happen, forcing yourself to make it through this shift because you finally had tomorrow off work.
You clocked out, heaving a sigh of relief as you went to grab your bag from the lockers. Then, you made your way over to Regina, greeting her quietly. “Why are you here?”
“To pick you up, baby. Why else? Haven’t had any downtime with you all week.” Regina bit back a smile, gaze softening when she looked at you.
“I know you’re here to pick me up, but— eh, never mind.” Your voice trailed off at the end.
Regina squints, worried at your frustration. “You alright, baby?”
You chuckled wryly, “Not so sure.”
“Wanna talk about it?” She asks, starting the engine of her Jeep.
“Mm-mm.” You shook your head no then looked outside as she started to drive.
She exhales, eyes glancing at you briefly, “Take a nap then? I’ll wake you up when we’ve reached my house.”
You nodded, then quickly drifted off to sleep without much trouble. It was better than being awake and worried, and worried about your plans to do what you wanted to do to help with the stress. But with the way she was talking to you, somehow being extra gentle than usual, your mind was easily coaxed into a regressed state. It was happening, and you were just avoiding it by being asleep for now.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, carefully shaking you awake. Your eyes slowly peeled open. “Hi.” She whispered, “We’re here, baby. Come on, let’s get inside.”
You nod, eyes barely open. You followed her lead, clinging onto her arm and walking into the house, then upstairs. Once in her room, you curled up in her bed, ignoring everything else— you just felt like napping. You were sleepy. You heard Regina moving around in her room, probably at her vanity to remove her accessories and makeup. She chuckles at the sight of you so comfortably laying in her bed.
“Sleepy?” She asked, “Or are you feeling sick?”
“Sleepy.” You mumbled, hands reaching out to her and you sulked.
“Aw, what’s wrong?” She asked, voice still soft.
You blinked innocently, “Hug?” You didn’t even worry about anything right now, you just knew you wanted her to hold you.
“One minute, baby.” She smiled crookedly, Regina was slightly worried. She’s never seen you like this before. Not that she was complaining by any means…because you seemed so very cute right now. Maybe you were just clingy? She thought.
While she was changing into comfy clothes, Regina asked if you wanted to do the same too, but you just whined. Another moment of concern went through her head, she sighs. Chewing on her lower lip, “Baby, is something bothering you?”
“No.” You told her timidly, noticing that tense expression on her face. Regina walked over to her bed and sat down next to you, studying you carefully. “I don’t want you to go through tough days alone, y/n. You’ve got me. I know things have been busy lately.”
You nodded, her hand rests on your side, endearingly squeezing it comfortingly. “I’m okay.”
“I know, bubs. You want a hug?”
“Yes, please.” You grinned cheekily.
“Mmkay, come here, bubs.” Regina opened up her arms and you quickly snuggled up against her.
“Can we play?” You muttered.
Yeah, no, Regina’s decided that you weren’t just clingy. But it was okay.
“Yeah, play what?” She asked, running a hand through your hair.
You hummed in thought, “Your iPad?”
“Weren’t you sleepy just a minute ago?” She laughed lightly.
You murmured, face buried in her chest. “Take a little nap, then we can play when you wake up. Deal?”
You shook your head, still not wanting to go to sleep. “Feel funny.” You muttered, arm now wrapped around her loosely.
“Hm?”
You sniffled, “Mommy and daddy yell a lot now.”
“They do?” She asked, soothingly rubbing your back.
You nod, “Yeah. It’s loud. So I hide.”
“It’s not your fault, hm?”
“It is though.” You breathed out shakily.
“No, it’s not.” She repeated, “It’s not your fault.”
“They yell my name.” You sighed, “I sit— I sit in my closet until I don’t hear anything.”
“That’s okay, baby. You just need to stay safe. You can call me, too, okay?”
“Okay.” You sniffed again. “…’m tired. School, work…so many people.”
“I know, I know…you’re okay. Just rest now, alright, baby?”
“Mmm.” You mumbled incoherently, nodding once again, “Will you leave me, Reggie?”
“Never.” Regina answered, “I promise.”
“Daddy left. Said he wasn’t gonna come back.” You laughed humourlessly, “Mommy was so angry.”
She didn’t know what to respond with, so she just let you get it off your chest while holding you and whispering words of assurances into your ears. “You’re safe with me, baby. Never gonna leave, okay? Never.”
And so…your little secret was out, and things weren’t so bad after all. When you had Regina with you, at least.
“Never?” You looked up at her.
“Never.”

Hey, I saw you reblog Agere fix and hopes you'd be opened to writing them, ignore this if not.
Could you write rejanis fic? Regressed Janis. One where Regina is like really busy with work and yells at her which triggers a regression for Janis?
I love you to the moon and back
Summary: Regina has been ignoring Janis because of work, it triggers Janis into a regression and Regina takes care of her.
Warnings: A bit of fighting, crying, hints at Janis being neglected as a child/having abandonment issues, Fluff, Age regression
Pairing: Regina + Janis
Tumblr media
Regina hadn’t been giving Janis attention. Yes, Janis understood why; she was busy with work, but even when Jais got consumed in a commission or a personal piece, she didn’t completely shut her out. Never! Regina was a bit of a workaholic but it was never this bad, It had been nearly three weeks of neglect, and Janis hated it.
Gosh, it made her feel small again, to be honest. She hated that feeling, constantly having to work and beg for the smallest once of affection, it reminded her of her father. It was like she was in constant competition with herself.
So what did she do? Confronted Regina when she came home from work.
“Regina,” Janis sat up, sighing and rubbing her temples, it was late. Much later than Regina said she’d come home.
“What?” Regina groaned, kicking off her shoes and then tossing her briefcase on the table, “It’s like eleven at night, you should be to sleep.”
“You said you’d be here at nine! I got worried, so I couldn’t exactly sleep.” Janis tried to keep the irritation out of her voice but failed miserably, “This is the second time this week!” her voice rose an octave, it ticked the blonde off.
“Yeah, well, someone has to hold a real job,” Regina shot back, Janis flinched and gritted her teeth. She made plenty of money from her art and worked part-time at a daycare center. It was a low blow, plus not true, and Regina knew it.
She needed some excuse for her inattentiveness, and that was the best she could come up with because she genuinely didn’t have an excuse. She wanted to climb the ranks so she was picking up more hours, was that so bad? Maybe it was.
“Shut up! Gosh, why are you like this, you're such a… a…” Janis was finding it increasingly difficult to speak, it was like her words flipped a switch, she felt angry but she also felt… hurt. Genuinely felt hurt. Her father never believed art could be a successful career, did her girlfriend believe that too? And was she right?
She blinked a few times, feeling her eyes watering. Gosh, she was getting in her own head.
“Such a what, Janis?” Regina’s voice startled Janis, enough to make her physically recoil, “Such a bad person? Maybe I’m just such a bad girlfriend, is that it? I’m doing this for us! So maybe you could stop being so touch-starved and needy-”
Regina froze. Janis was crying. Oh no! Her Janis was crying. Because of her. Shit.
She took a step forward, but Janis stumbled back, “I’m s-sorry, stop yelling.” Janis covered her ears and ran away, leaving Regina confused and her gut twisting with guilt. Regina sighed. She needed a minute to compose herself before she went after her. She sat down, running her hand through her hair.
Meanwhile, Janis curled up on the floor, wrapping a blanket around herself, headphones on snugly, then gently vibrations of the music ringing in her head and relaxing her. Her eyes fixated on the bubbles that floated across the screen that accompanied her music.
After what felt like too long to the blonde, she got up and made her way to their shared bedroom, finding her girlfriend curled up and sniffling. Her heart ached for her, anxiety pricking at her chest. She lowered herself to sit and slowly lifted the blanket from Janis's eyes, the brunette peeked up at her, and Regina softened as she studied her. She was regressed.
“Hey, baby, I’m sorry for yelling,” Regina breathed, swallowing back the tension in her voice, “I haven’t been the best girlfriend, huh?” Janis shrugged, looking down at the screen then back up and Regina.
“It’s okay, Reggie,” Janis mumbled, not holding any real anger in her at the moment, but she did pull her knees to her chest like she was trying to feel smaller. Safer.
“It’s not, and I’m sorry, baby. I’ll do better,” Regina sighed, shaking her head, she wanted to go on a long rambling speech on why it wasn’t, on how stressed she had been, on how she was afraid of becoming like her father. But she knew Janis didn’t need a long explanation and apology right now; she needed to be reassured and loved. Regina could do that. Regina reached out, ruffling Janis's hair and making the smaller girl's lips quirk into a shy smile.
She stood, offering her hand, “Wanna watch-” Regina didn’t get to finish her sentence because suddenly she jumped up and gasped, blanket pooling at her feet as she ran out of the room. Regina wasn’t startled, she knew Janis had more energy while little, but surprised at how quickly she switched gears.
She chuckled, following behind her at a slower pace, finding Janis pulling something from the hall closet, she didn’t catch what it was though. She heard Jnais laugh boisterously, then ran off again toward the living room. The laughter, that sweet sound, chased away the last lingering shadow of guilt and remorse. Seeing Janis so carefree and happy, even after the earlier hurt, reaffirmed Anya’s determination to cherish every moment with her precious girlfriend.
She followed her into the living room, smiling at the sight of her holding aloft a teddy bear, lying on her back and staring up at the ceiling. The image made her protective instincts flare, it made her want to shelter Janis from all the cruelties of the world, even from herself at times. She knew why Janis regressed, it broke her heart sometimes, but she got to help her heal; heal from things she caused, from her family, from everything.
When Jnais tipped her head back and saw Regina she stared at her with wide, blinking eyes before sitting up and facing the wall where the TV hung. Padding over to her, she crouched down and wrapped her arms from behind, pulling her close.
“Whatcha got there, love bug?” Regina murmured, peeking over Janis's shoulder at the stuffed animal, “Looks like a friend, huh?” Janis nodded, and Regina pressed a kiss to her temple, then straightened up, using one hand to pluck the stuffed animal from Janis’s grip and hold it up, Janis whined a bit but didn’t protest.
“Tell you what baby. Why don’t we build a little fort in here?” That was one of Janis’s favorite things to do when regressed, plus it reminded Regina of when they were young and built forts and stayed up all night talking, “We can watch your favorite cartoons.” Regina bopped Janis on the nose with the bear’s paw, then dropped it in her lap. Janis giggled and nodded.
“Yes, I want to!” She clutched the worn bear to her chest, “Can Fuzzy come?”
“Of course, he can, silly,” Regina flicked her nose, making it scrunch up adorably. She stood, stretching, “Pajamas first, yeah?” Janis pondered for a moment then nodded, leaping to her feet and scampering off.
After they got into their PJs, Regina surveyed the room, she started gathering supplies for their fort, she dragged the plush comforter off the bed, while Jnais stuffed blankets and pillows into her arms. Spotting the unused beanbag chair in the corner, Regina hefted it up and they carried their stuff into the center of the living room.
Dumping the pillows and blankets onto the floor, they laughed as they started constructing their little hideaway. She draped the comforter over the beanbag, securing it with pillows at the corner to create a tent-like structure, layering the blankets on the inside to create a plush nest.
Once it was complete, Regina patted the space invitingly, “Come on in, baby. Plenty of space for you and Fuzzy.” As Janis clambered in beside her, she wrapped a blanket around the brunette’s shoulders, tugging her close until she was curled up in her lap. She clicked on the TV which was carefully constructed to be visible.
“I should be an architect.” Regina joked, Janis giggled and looked up at her with sleepy eyes.
“Yeah, you should.” Janis grinned cheekily, but it faded, and Jnais was pouting.
“What’s the matter?” Regina asked quickly, wanting to dispel any bad thoughts.
“Uh-uh! No more work! No!” Janis pouted, starting to panic, “You leave me?” her eyes watering, looking up at her. The smaller girl’s chest began to rise and fall more rapidly.
Regina was quick to hush her, cooing soft no’s and never’s in an attempt to calm her.
“You promise?” Janis rubbed her eyes, and Regina nodded.
“I promise,” Regina tucked Janis’s head under her chin, inhaling the soft scent of lavender, “I love you to the moon and back.”
“I love you more than that,” Janis grumbled, Regina stifled a laugh at the fond words that came out in such a grumpy tone.
“Hm?” Regina hummed, Janis nodded with a soft yawn, eyes that had been fixed on the current episode of Bluey fluttering closed.
It was then she realized that here, cradling her sweet girlfriend, the rest of the world didn’t matter. It ceased to exist. It was only Janis, her, and the steady beat of their heart and the quiet hum of the cartoon. That’s all she needed, not status in some stupid company job that didn’t give a shit about her, she just needed a reminder of that.
“Sweet dreams, baby girl” she murmured, knowing damn well her back would kill her tomorrow.

What makes Rio and Agatha's relationship even more relevant is that, you know who or what is considered to be evil and something to avoid for as long as possible, something that's feared, resented, and thoughts to bring grief and destruction everywhere it goes? Death.
Rio and Agatha are an unusual pair that works so well because they can relate to each other. They immediately find their chemistry after possibly centuries of not seeing (or even perceiving) each other, because they instinctively know what the other is feeling and going through.
Rio is able to provide Agatha with the feeling of kinship that Evanora could never have given, nor ever wanted to give her (if this translates into evident mommy issues, that's for another post with a very different tone, lol).
Evanora Harkness has to be among my most hated characters last year, really.
Agatha was like 18 in the Salem trial. Agatha was 18 when her own mother tried to have her executed. Like. That's your teenage daughter, again, telling you that she can't control this ability and begging you to love her and teaching her how to be good and your response is telling her she can never be good and trying to kill her? Then, many years later, when she asks you, heartbroken, why do you still hate her, you just go and tell her she was born evil and that you should've killed her the moment she was born? Fuck. Off?
You can tell how much this dynamic fucked Agatha up and led her to become the person she is now. She is a bad person now. Not at the time the whole Salem trial happened, though, but she is now. That doesn't make her pure evil, either. She's a complex character and that makes her very interesting. But her mother and her coven deemed her as evil, so that was all she was. And even now, even though —again— she is far from being a good person. And it's sad because Agatha is a bad person yeah, but she wasn't at the time. And it gets sad, because there are moments where Agatha is really misunderstood—like with the part that she killed her first coven to steal her magic when they actually attacked her first and wanted to execute her, or likely the whole 'child sacrifice' thing when she probably didn't even sacrifice her son, at least willingly—, and people just assume the worst of her immediately, even if in that case it's wrong.
And you know what? She doesn't even deny it or try to explain herself. She already tried with her mother and her first coven. It didn't work, they still deemed her as pure evil and not a human being. So she doesn't even try anymore with new people. She doesn't think anyone will understand her.
The only one that gets her and isn't scared of her is... Rio. Death herself is the only one who understands her and loves her and sees her as a human, the one who has her back when her mother wants to torment her again. And-- it makes the whole thing even deeper.
