Every time someone in this godforsaken fandom says "I think we've talked about misogyny enough" I want to hit them with a hammer. No we haven't.

We haven't even talked about the deep "Ruikasa&Akitoya Vs. literally everyone else" imbalance enough but imagine all of the people that get pressured into writing specifically for male/male ships simply because otherwise they won't get any appreciation.

Yes it's a cowardly thing but when you see Ruikasa having over 4000 fics and Ichisaki having like 5 in total obviously you're going to be discouraged. Obviously you'll be biased into creating Ruikasa instead of other ships.

And as someone who depends on appreciation in particular to do any work at all obviously that's going to have a lasting consequence. Some people spend 4 hours crying in front of a screen just for 3 people to like their work and leave, it's understandable if they lose passion for creating at all, you guys killed them.

It's even in how we handle m/m ships. You go into a fic that's tagged Rui&Tsukasa(platonic), someone in the comments always goes "okay but when do they kiss". You go to an action-packed longfic, someone always ends up going "okay but when do they kiss".

Fuck you guys. Actually. This is a silly piano tiles game about Hatsune Miku, we should be one of the MOST CREATIVE fandoms in history and somehow people still get mad over two boys not kissing immediately after getting introduced. It's so fucking difficult being a content creator in this fandom because you always end up having to take the same route. They meet they tease they kiss. End of story. "zoro would've killed sanji if he saw what he did during wci" i think you people genuinely failed your 9th grade english class. there is a difference between being righteously angry/furious at someone's actions—someone who you respect and silently consider a friend—without knowing the whole story versus actually killing that person due to a mistake. no one is doubting zoro's strength or loyalty to luffy but the mischaracterization is wild here. not only would zoro not kill sanji in wci (he hesitated even agreeing when sanji ASKED HIM TO in wano & don't even get me started on the entirety that is thriller bark), but luffy wouldn't give the fucking order either because he has never viewed the sacrifice of another's life as an option.

yes zoro would've been pissed !! but did you all seriously not see arlong park or enies lobby. it's been stated a hundred times or more that sanji sacrifices himself because he values others over his own life—and the straw hats Know This. it's a key reason as to why robin is so pleased when sanji asks for her help in wano because he's learning to lean on people just like she did. they've sailed together for years. they've considered each other family for Years. they care about one another and that is the truth for zoro and sanji as well as literally any other straw hat. sanji did what he thought was right in the moment, and though he was wrong, i think considering everything we know about him—everything the crew knows about him, zoro included—they would understand.

Edward watching as Gordon goes from naive young greenhorn who always fell for his pranks to the meanest egotistical asshole he's ever met. Watching as his friend's insecurity and inferiority complex get so bad it warps him into the worst person he can be. Watching him drift away and distance himself from him because that's what his fears told him to do. That's what every other engine on the mainland would do. Watching Henry follow him, becoming snobbish and catty so he can stay close to him. Their little trio that he thought was unbreakable bend and almost snap at the seams

And despite everything, still being kind and friendly and affectionately bullying him like he used to because he knows somewhere deep down that young greenhorn is still in there. His friend is still there he just changed. And no amount of change will stop him from being his friend. And holding out hope that one day Gordon will remember that. He and Henry always held out hope that Gordon would change for the better. They still stuck by him even when he was cruel to them because he was their friend and like hell they're leaving him behind. How inherently tragic yet hopeful that is.

And it worked. And he changed, this time for the better. And no doubt the big blue felt awful about it later in life, hiding that shame and guilt under his arrogant bravado. Because he thinks it's too late to give an apology, and he's too scared of what might happen if he does. He will never know that they already forgave him. And he will never understand why they would in the first place.

They are the golden trio because, despite the years of harshness and turmoil they all went through. They never rusted and still shine to this day. No amount of change will ever erode their friendship.
