“Shh!” Y/N hissed with her finger to her lips as she and Dean stumbled drunkenly through the bunker door. She tried to frown at her best friend and meant to scold him for his noisiness, but he was making a goofy face as he pretended to be tiptoeing towards the stairs and she just ended up giggling loudly.

“Shh!” Dean scolded her. 

“Me shush? You shush!” She said, laughing as she followed him down the stairs. As they neared the bottom, Y/N lost her footing in the grating on the steps and pitched forward. Dean turned to try and steady her, but it was too late and she knocked them both to the ground. 

Dean landed on his back and Y/N landed directly on top of him.

“Oof!” Dean grunted as his fall and Y/N's weight knocked the wind out of him. 

“Oh my god! Dean, I'm so sorry!” Y/N felt terrible, but her drunken mind couldn't stop laughing at the way they'd plummeted to the floor.

When he could breathe again Dean groaned and started laughing too.

“Shh!” He cautioned as he rolled Y/N beneath him. “You're gonna wake up Sam.” He said in a voice that he thought was a whisper. It wasn't.

Y/N nodded and then caught Dean's eye as her giggling subsided. For a moment their gazes connected as their laughter died away slowly, so that they were left pressed close together and staring at each other.

“You know, you're so pretty.” Dean said, his words slightly slurred. “I don't think you know that, you don't know that I think that. You are.”

Y/N shook her head. “No, YOU don't know. I told you so many times, Dean. I told you that time when there was the baseball bat, and then too, where when we were at the drive-in, and…” Y/N frowned and then shook her head. “I told you all of those times. And then more.”

Dean was nodding along with her words as though he knew what she was talking about but then he burst into laughter and Y/N joined him.

“What were we talking about?” He asked as he stood up and pulled Y/N to her feet. They leaned on each other for balance. 

Y/N shook her head. “I don't actually know.” She cackled, and then shushed herself. Dean joined her. 

“Shh!”

“Shh!” 

They were both holding a finger to their lips and giggling like idiots as Sam walked into the war room from the direction of his bedroom. 

“Shhh-ut up. Both of you.” He said, barefooted and scowling. He was wearing pajama bottoms and a dark blue t-shirt and had obviously been sleeping. 

He was also obviously very annoyed. He ran a tired hand over his cheeks. “It's three in the morning, you two. What the hell are you doing coming home at this hour?”

Y/N snorted and then covered her mouth. “Sorry!” She said when Sam's frown landed on her. “You just…my mom said that when I was like fifteen. You sounded like her, for a second.”

“It's the long hair.” Dean said in a stage whisper, making Sam roll his eyes and Y/N nearly fall over laughing. 

“Was your mom a really tall lady?” Dean asked as both of them fell onto each other again, and landed on their asses on the floor - the extreme hilarity taking them both out. 

“Oh, Jesus.” Sam said in sleepy irritation. “I'm going back to bed. Can you both shut up and just pass out on the floor?”

“Aye aye, Captain!” Dean called with salute and Y/N followed suit.

“Drunken idiots.” Sam mumbled lovingly as he padded back down the hallway to his bedroom.

Eventually Dean and Y/N stood each other up and then wandered down the other hallway towards Dean's room. When they got there, Y/N's eyes lit up when she saw Dean's vinyl collection.

“We have to play some Black Sabbath.”

She fumbled pulling the record out of its sleeve and almost dropped it. 

“Hey! Careful!” Dean protested as he took the precious vinyl out of her hands. 

In the end though, it took both of them to get the record on the turntable properly, and then all of their combined coordination to successfully put the needle down without scratching it. But soon Paranoid was blasting through Dean's room, and down the hallways to Sam's as well, where the youngest Winchester growled and slammed his pillow down tight over his ears.

As the song continued, Y/N grabbed Dean's hands and got him to share in a little drunken headbanging along with the wailing guitars, pounding drums and Ozzy’s slightly monotone voice. Eventually though, he let go so he could crash onto his bed. 

Y/N kept dancing, offbeat and slightly awkward. Dean watched her and smiled deeply.

“This is the other time!” He called over the music.

Y/N shook her head and turned down the volume a little. “What?”

“This is the other time.” Dean repeated.

“The other time of what?” Y/N asked, scrunching up her nose and furrowing her brow in that adorable way she had.

“The other time when you're so pretty and I'm telling you, but you're not listening.” Dean sighed, suddenly sad.

Y/N stumbled over to the bed and climbed up beside him. “Why’re you…what's wrong?” 

Dean shook his head. “No, you never listen to me when I'm trying to tell you. You don't get it.” His mouth dipped into a pout and Y/N was instantly contrite.

“Oh, I wanna listen to you. I do listen. You don't listen.”

Dean stared at her for a moment and then nodded resolutely. “We should write it down. Our things, our listening things. So we don't forget. Then we have to listen to both of ourselves.” Dean's eyes were wide, amazed by his incredible idea. 

Y/N nodded and wobbled over for pens and paper from his desk. She brought them back and slumped onto the bed, passing out the writing materials and grabbing two hardcover books from the bedside table. 

“For writing on.” She explained as she handed Dean a book.

“M’kay. Do you wanna go first?” Dean asked. “Cause…ladies? Y’know?”

But Y/N shook her head. “We could both go though.” She pointed at their separate pieces of paper. 

“Oh right!” Dean said as though finally figuring out her ever-so-complicated plan.

Then they both bent their heads to their task, but after only a few minutes, their pens stilled and their heads drooped towards each other and then banged together gently as they both fell into drunken oblivion.

Twenty minutes later Sam barged into Dean's room no longer able to take the screaming Black Sabbath. He immediately noticed that both of his drunken idiots were sound asleep and snoring, and he sighed, giving his head a shake. 

He took the needle off the record and shut off the record player before he walked quietly up to the bed and rolled his eyes indulgently as he saw Y/N with her head on Dean's shoulder and Dean with his head laying on top of her head.

They’re both gonna have such stuff necks in the morning. He thought.

He picked up the papers and books from their laps. He was about to throw the pages away but then he read them. His smile grew wider and wider as he read what they'd each written. 

Neither had actually finished, but they were both saying the same thing:

“Finally.” Sam whispered with an affectionate eye roll. “Friggin’ idiots.”

He took the papers and walked to the kitchen. Grabbing two strong magnets he posted the letters in plain sight where they couldn't be missed, even by two fools with raging hangovers, before he shut off the lights and went back to bed.

- When I think of a coonhound I always think of Duke, who was a redbone that my grandparents had when I was little. Duke was always right on mine & my sister's heels, watching for any sign of threat but still letting us play around. He was observant, smart, & loyal. Bobby is always keeping an eye on his team & right on their heels when they need him. He's always struck me as the most observant character & he's the wise father figure.

Athena: German Shepherd

- No it's not just because GSDs are commonly police dogs. We have a GSD, Boxer, Husky mix named Ethel. I can always tell when her GSD side is showing versus her Boxer or Husky because she goes into protective mode. Athena is fiercely protective of her family, both blood & found. She's quick to stand up for them & have their backs. I also feel like Athena has a little mischief in her & maybe it's just the Boxer or Husky bleeding through but so does Ethel.

Hen: Siberian Husky

- As we all know, Huskies are VERY vocal. Hen strikes me as the type to always speak her mind no matter what. From what I know about Huskies from social media & Ethel, they're very loyal, insanely smart, & kinda silly. I saw a text post one time with Hen & Karen as the background that said something like, "I love being in STEM (shenanigans, tomfoolery, escapades, & mischief)." Hen is definitely a silly goose when she wants to be but she's also very smart & loyal to a fault.

Karen: Rottweiler

- Rotties can be silly little gooses but they're also very loving & protective. Karen takes care of her people & protects them when it's needed. However, she also enjoys a little STEM (see Hen's above) every now & then.

Chimney: Boxer

- To me, Boxers have always struck me as a protective & loyal dog disguised as a clumsy goofball. I think Boxers are smart & they do silly shit to make us smile & I think Chim is the same way. I don't know why but Chimney just screams clutz to me & I've seen some Boxers do some clutz ass shit.

Maddie: Shiba Inu

- Okay, Shibas are regarded as independent, affection, & intelligent dogs. They're also known to be stubborn. Maddie can be an independent woman who don't need no man but she knows she doesn't have to be because she has Chimney. She showers everyone she cares about with affection & she's hella smart. I feel like stubborn just runs in the Buckley genes though because she & Buck both have their moments.

Buck: Golden Retriever

- I feel like it's just general consensus at this point that Buck is a golden retriever at heart. He's got lots of energy, a heart of gold, & a tendency to get himself into weird &/or sticky situations. I've seen some goldens get stuck in some weird shit. Buck is always giving his all & doing what he thinks is right. We all know he's a yapper but there's no way in hell he's gonna sit still either.

Tommy: Saint Bernard

- My first thought was, "Oh yeah Tommy is definitely like a Doberman or something," but then I thought about how soft he is with Buck & how I guarantee this man could get into some STEM of his own. I was thinking about bigger dogs that are fluffy & silly & I remembered the Beethoven movies. It's been a LONG time since I've seen them but I do remember that dog getting into some crazy shit & being loyal to his humans. So yeah, Tommy is a St Bernard. They're both hard working, a little silly, & super loyal.

Eddie: Pitbull

- Okay, hear me out. Eddie might look all rough & tough on the outside but that man is just a giant teddy bear. Enter the Pitbull. When I think of badass looking dogs, I always think of a Pittie but they're also very sweet & loving dogs when raised right. They can make great guard dogs but also fantastic cuddle buddies. I genuinely believe it takes the right kind of person to raise a Pitbull, just like it takes the right kind of people *cough* the 118 *cough* to understand & support Eddie.

Chris: Beagle

- Beagles are commonly owned as hunting dogs because of their intelligence, skill, & energy. Chris is hella smart & observant. I swear that kid keeps track of shit that no one else does. He's got lots of energy & loves to have fun. I once knew a pair of beagles that were always attached at the hip & playful as ever. There was another beagle that was a truck dog & she was sweet as could be & always ready for an adventure.

Okay so it's a mobile gacha game, let's get that out of the way. BUT LISTEN. 

The premise of the story is that the MC is a regular waitress in New York, when a foreign prince and his friends come to her table as a way to have a bachelor party for the prince who will soon have to choose a woman to marry in a The Bachelor -type of contest. MC and the prince hit it off pretty well and one of his friends, Maxwell, decides to throw in his lot with the MC, since the house the future queen is from gets a lot of perks and his family is Broke. MC goes along bc her job sucks ass and she figures why not.

BUT THEN! As the competition progresses, the MC spends a lot of time with the prince and other nobles, yes, but also with Maxwell. And Maxwell is a clown-type comic relief character for most of the time, but also genuinely sweet and considerate, and very much on the same wavelength with the equal goofball MC. What for me personally changed the game was when MC and Maxwell dance at a ball together, and the MC can say that there's no one they'd rather dance with than Maxwell. I myself chose that in a completely platonic bestie way. But he gets a bit panicky and says to be careful not to let anyone hear things like that when MC is in the running for the hand of the prince so that no one gets any wrong ideas! And I went "....ideas? 👀"

“Unlike other romancable characters, Maxwell isn't romancable until book 2 (the previous scene is in book 1, each book ~20 chapters), and unlike other romance options, you really have to have your eyes set on him in order to unlock his route, and ohhh it's so worth it! The set-up of falling for the person who brought you there to marry someone else, to choose the jester when you were meant to have the king.... exquisite. 

The dynamic between MC and Maxwell is so fun and full of genuine affection, and while other characters can dismiss Maxwell as an unserious clown, MC is very much characterised by the dialogue as Getting him and loving to express joy in life the same way he does. When MC and Maxwell can finally marry, it feels like they're really choosing their best friend to spend their lives with and are so excited about it.

I know this wrestles in a league multiple times smaller than many of the other combatants, but the Maxwell romance in genuinely one of my favourites in any video game. Give him a chance!”

COMING HOME !

coming home was definitely weird. i’ve been away at school for 3 years, and things are so different now. my friends were still back in virginia. my old friends from ohio all had moved on with their lives. hell, one of my good friends from highschool is married with a baby. the hardest part though, my family and i weren’t as close anymore. more specifically my twin brother, tyler. sure, i saw him during the holidays or the random times i came home. but he was occupied with his own life. starting a band, meeting his now fiancé jenna. we were so close growing up. time changes things, it was hard to be so close when we were so far away.

some of my old friends were attending this halloween party. i decided to tag along, meet some new people. see my friends again. i was dressed up as draculara from monster high, i had the wig and all. the party was fun at first, me and my friends all took cute silly pictures and danced around to whatever pop song was blasting on the speakers. we probably looked like goofballs, but it was so much fun. eventually, my friends & i parted ways. they all found different places at the party. leaving me awkwardly standing by the drink table. as i was about to leave a guy came up to me.

“why’d you copy my costume?”, the guy spoke. he was dressed up as a vampire. i could tell he was joking by the grin that grew on his face once he saw my shocked expression.

“i don’t know man.. you just inspired me.”, i laughed softly. the guy looked relieved i went on with the joke rather than cursing him out.

“it’s okay you look 10 times better than me.”, he chuckled slightly. i learned his name was josh. and who knew josh would change my life. we eventually left the party & ate at some random diner and talked forEVER. i learned he plays drums in a band, he really likes aliens and rock music. we had so much in common. and we continued talking for a few weeks. to which led to our relationship. josh was so amazing. he’d let me wear his t-shirts all the time, take me out on random fun adventures. if we weren’t sleeping over, he’d call me every night. and text in the morning. josh would even try to give me drum lessons. which would only end in us making out. josh was the most amazing guy on the planet.

however, josh would disagree with my opinion. to him, the best guy on the planet was his best friend, tyler. josh ADORED tyler. and from what josh told me, he seemed pretty cool. our schedules finally lined up, and josh was taking me to finally meet tyler for lunch. and he was ecstatic.

“i can’t believe my two favorite people are going to be in the same room!”, josh smiled, opening the car door for me to get out.

“you’re so cute.”, i gave him a quick hug. resting my head on his chest for a second. then we walked in the restaurant. it was a cute little place with rustic farm decor surrounding it. i was admiring the decor before josh spoke,

“tyler, this is my girlfriend y/n.”, my face dropped when i saw tyler. it was MY twin brother tyler. i know we weren’t identical twins but did josh never notice the similarities? we were both unsure how to approach the situation.

“worse, she’s my sister.”, tyler finally spoke. i let out a breathy exhale. the mood instantly dropped. the whole table was quiet the rest of the afternoon. josh would try his best to make conversation. and i engaged, but tyler was silent. i had no idea why he was so tense. sure, it’s awkward. but i didn’t understand why he seemed so upset.

finally, we finished up but as we were walking out, tyler pulled me aside.

“are you seriously dating him y/n?”, tyler asked. the most he’s said all afternoon.

“yeah..?”, i said hesitantly, unsure what he was getting at. tyler scoffed and looked away before speaking again.

“you could’ve picked ANYONE ELSE Y/N.. instead you pick MY best friend.”

“it wasn’t intentional.”, i was shocked by tyler’s behavior. i didn’t expect him to react to everything like this.

“right yeah you didn’t know, because YOU can never do no wrong. perfect y/-“

“shut the hell up tyler!”, i shouted. i had enough of his behavior. this was all coming out of no where, and it was unjustified.

“you’re the one who had to take away MY best friend. i haven’t seen him in weeks thanks to you!”, tyler yelled right back. i chuckled dryly.

“you know, you can be such an asshole tyler. grow. up.”, and with that i walked back to the car, not even bothering to wait for josh to open up the door for me like he normally does. i was so frustrated, i didn’t understand why tyler was so mad about the situation. it was all emotionally draining. the ride back was silent, as josh pulled into my apartment complex he finally broke the silence.

“i’m really sorry y/n.”, josh said sincerely. i took a deep breath. it wasn’t josh’s fault for tyler’s actions. i was still angry, and a little upset josh never put two and two together.

“how did you not know josh?”, i snapped. it wasn’t intentional. but i was feeling so many different emotions right now, none of them good. as josh scrambled up an answer, i was already slamming the car door.

of course, the next day i was having dinner with my parents.. and tyler. josh texted me per usual. he felt really guilty about everything. i know it was never his intentions to hurt anyone. if anything, he was so happy for his two favorite people to see each other. he really was clueless. i was going to go over to his place.. right after i survive this dinner date. it was fine at first. my parents and i making small talk. tyler was quiet. only shooting daggers my way every so often. but those were easy to ignore.

“so what have you been up to this week?”, my mom asked cheerfully.

“yeah besides sleeping with my best friend.”, tyler chimed in. i rolled my eyes.

“i didn’t know my boyfriend was your best friend.”, i replied. before i could finish replying to our mom, tyler spoke up again.

“why couldn’t you date anyone else?”

“why do you care so much?”

“because you’re ruining things y/n!”, tyler raised his voice. which earned parental glares from both of our parents.

“maybe josh doesn’t like you as much as you think tyler!”, i yelled back. tyler’s face dropped. even i was surprised by what i said. i know that was a messed up thing to say. i guess it hurt more than i realized because tyler stormed up and out of the house. i didn’t even bother to listen to my parents lectures, i ran out of the house to apologize to tyler.

“tyler listen i-“

“break up with him.”, tyler cut me off.

“what?”, i exclaimed. now this was crazy.

“things have been so different since you guys got together.. and especially since now i know he’s dating MY sister. it makes things complicated.”, tyler looked at me. my eyes were filled with tears. josh was so amazing, he has such a good heart. and he treated me so well. i couldn’t imagine hurting him. but tyler was my brother. i didn’t want to let him down.

“i’m sorry y/n.”, i walked away and got in my car. this wasn’t fair. i didn’t understand why’d i have to sacrifice my boyfriend to get my brother back. none of this made sense. nonetheless, i drove to josh’s house. unsure on what i was going to say to him.

My Top 5 Favorite TMNT 2012 Ships

5) Mikey x Renet

I feel we as a fandom has come to an unanimous agreement that all the canon romances/couples given to us in the 2012 series are bad/toxic/poorly written/inc3st/etc with THEM being the only exception (I'll talk about that ship soon), however I think Renetangelo is the other exception.

They’re certainly not perfect with their first problem being Mikey kinda “cheating” on Renet with Shinigami (they weren’t together or officially dating so it’s not cheating, but it still felt wrong that it was never acknowledged that Mikey was pretty much a skirt chaser, crushing on two girls at once), but I still really love their dynamic and relationship. Mikey and Renet are undoubtedly cute together, just two silly goofballs having a fun time and enjoying the other’s company with the occasional flirting and kiss on the cheek (which btw SO CUTE). Renetangelo is that couple that I feel works great both romantically and platonically. If you told me they’re best friends, I’d believe it, if you told me they’re a couple, I’d also believe it. That's how well they work off each other. I'm okay with them being a couple or just being friends.

Season 5 also practically confirms they’re together on two occasions with Mikey saying him and Renet are in a long distance relationship in the When Worlds Collide special, and Renet hinting during the Halloween arc that she and Mikey have some kind of future together.

Overall, I really like Renetangelo and I love seeing these two together. From Mikey's puppy love expressions when he sees her to their overall personalities clashing so well together. This ship is very underrated and needs more love.

4) Slash x Alopex

Yes, this is a ship that exist and I take FULL CREDIT FOR THE CREATION OF THIS COUPLE! I AM THE REASON THIS SHIP IS ALIVE AND SAILING! YOU ARE WELCOME!!

Slash x Alopex (or what I like to call them Slaopex) is my rarepair of the 2012 series and I’m so happy that I’m slowly getting more and more people one board with it. It started off as just a random silly idea of mine, like "What if Slash got a gf?" and then I thought "Well, who could I ship him with?" and then my brain went "What if Slash and Alopex got together? That would be funny". I laughed at the idea, but the more I thought of it, the more I started to like it. I began coming up with headcanons and a story of their relationship, and the more I did that, the more I fell in love with this concept and the potential of this couple. So much that it placed 4th in my top 5!

I fell so in love with them I even ended up writing a short fanfic of how I headcanon they would first meet and the beginning of their blooming romance (you can read it HERE). But in short, Slash runs into Alopex during a late night patrol and helps her beat up some crooks who were attacking her. The two get to talking, sharing a tender moment before parting ways, with Alopex now being the only thing on Slash's mind <3

I also reference this ship a few times in my fanfic Courting a Salamandrian. Consider it a continuation of that little oneshot.

3) Leo x Casey

While everyone else was shipping Jonatello, I was shipping Caseynardo! I was never a fan of Jonatello, I don't hate it, just couldn't get on board nor understand the hype around it, but then one day I stumbled across fanart of Leo x Casey and I thought "Huh... these two actually look cute together!" and quickly sunk into the rabbit hole. Looking up every little bit of fanart, fanfics and edits I could find.

Liking this ship this much for it to be ranked 3rd in my Top 5 favorite TMNT 2012 ships says a lot. This ship really grew on me very quickly, so much so that I wrote a fanfiction on them! I wrote a Caseynardo fanfic before writing a Renetangelo one (you can read it HERE), which is funny cause I've been shipping Renetangelo since the show was airing, and I didn't start liking Caseynardo till long after the show ended! That says a lot about how much these boy effected me! LOL

My whole HC for this ship is that they bonding a lot in season 3 at the farmhouse which led to a mutual romantic attraction. Eventually they secretly date without telling anyone but due to the circumstances and problems going on in Leo’s life, he was unable to keep the relationship going. They agree to just be friends, which Casey promising to wait for him. It’s basically the “right person, wrong time” trope. But I like to headcanon that by season 5, Leo and Casey finally get together officially and made their relationship known to everyone else. The only one not surprised was Raphael who knew about those two since day one, cause he was stuck being their third wheel/wingman XD

2) Karai x Shinigami

I will NEVER forgive Nickelodeon for be too cowardly to make this happen. They'd rather ship inc3st and force Shini to be straight than give us our goth kunoichi lesbians. For shame, Nickelodeon... For shame...

Not to mention that one of the writers of the show, Peter Di Cicco, shipped them! Calling them his "OTP" and referring to Shini as "Karai's girlfriend", and even pitching an alternate ending to the series where Splinter and Shredder make up but the only thing they fight over now is who gets to walk Karai down the aisle during her wedding to Shinigami XD

The moment I saw Shinigami, I instantly thought "Oh that's a lesbian and she and Karai are a thing". I really love their dynamic, their friendship and the potential they have in being a cute couple of childhood friends to lovers. You can see how much they care about each other. The fury in Shini's voice when she confronts Super Shredder, "I will destroy you, Monster! For everything you have done to Karai!". Shini is supportive of Karai and is always the one down to start chaos with you. Makes me wish we could've learned more about these two and their history. I like to think they've known each other since they were little, being childhood friends while training and growing up in The Foot Clan.

My personal headcanon is that Shinigami has had a crush on Karai since they were young, like preteens, and is so loyal to her and willing to help Karai not just because she is her best friend but also because she loves her. However, she is scared to tell Karai how she really feels because she's worried she won't reciprocate and it'll ruin their long time friendship. Luckily, Mikey is there for support!

1) Raphael x Mona Lisa

What have I not already said about RaMona? If you follow me then you know full well that these two are my life. I’ve written multiple fanfics based on them on AO3 (LINK HERE) and have done a few analysis posts about them as well here on Tumblr. They have consumed my life. I love them so much!

Overall, I believe they are the healthiest ship the series offered us, and the best one in canon. I know some complain that they were rushed and how they got together too quickly, but in truth I can understand why Raph and Mona got into a relationship as quickly as they did. They are both warriors with the mindset of "I might die tomorrow" so it makes sense they'd be open and honest about their feelings right from the start just in case something happens to either one of them in battle. You only live once, you know? And I like how open Raph is when it comes to his feelings for Mona. From the very start, the moment he realized he liked her, never once did he deny it. Even when his brothers and friends laughed or scolded him, Raph proudly admitted he likes her with no ounce of shame. Mikey even points out that Mona is "bigger, stronger and a better fighter" than Raph and him responding by saying "Exactly! What a woman..." The boy does not care that she will be the pants in their relationship. He loves that she's stronger than him, bigger than him, a better fighter than him. We even see how excited he gets when she suggests training with him someday. Not to mention how we also learn in the show that these two have written love letters to each other during the course of the season 4 space adventures. Their personailties clash so well together. Both being strong willed warriors who put their loved ones first. Both can be stubborn and jump to conclusions quickly. We even see that Mona can have a short temper much like Raph. Both are ready to kick some ass with anyone who talks shit (Raph defending Mona but then Mona defending herself *chef's kiss*)

It's not talked about often among the fandom/shippers, but the fact that Mona is as much in love with Raph as he is with her is what truly makes this ship great. While the other 2012 ships make it unclear (writing wise) if the love interest truly feels the exact same way towards her Turtle she's shipped with, but for Mona her feelings are obvious. She's the one who makes the first move during all of their kisses/nose nuzzles, she's the one to say "I love you" first" and do I have to remind y'all of the push up scene? XD

These two are obsessed with one another. You can tell and see just how in love they are with one another. Even with only appearing in about 4-5 episodes, they truly left a major impact on shipping in this fandom. I feel it has come to a unanimous agreement that this ship is the best (canon) couple this show gave us. I love them, I love their relationship, I love what these two have done for the show and this fandom. They were able to bring back a classic ship from the 87 series and add so much more to them! I hope we get to see more of this couple in future generations. They certainly aren't a perfect couple, they got their flaws too, but overall they are truly the best couple in the 2012 series. <333

"Lunar's SECRET PLAN" Episode! (Me Gushing Over an LAES Episode)

MY GOD, I ADORED today's episode of the Lunar and Earth show. Dazzle being a helpful bean, Sun being a big brother (no pun intended), Earth being a goofball, Lunar being a lit--UH, I mean, fun-sized trickster grump, GIANTS IN THE DAYCARE--I LOVE IT!

And I thought Lunar and Earth helping Sun with his goose magic was funny! Earth's "sibling dynamic" line is so true. It's practically her catchphrase by now, but I sure ain't complainin'! :D

Lunar actually did fool me the first time he did the thing when they were by the ball pit. I didn't even realize he did it again before it became obvious. I'm around 5' 2'' years so I can relate to Lunar's frustration, but if we're small then WE ARE GOING TO BE PROUD OF IT, DAMMIT! And he DID have a bit of a sense of humor about it, mimicking the Jaws theme when in the ball pit after Earth pointed out that only the top of his head was visible.

And MY GOD, Sun/Happy Boy was SUCH a butt of a big brother. XD It was freaking funny how merciless he was with the teasing. I mean, he started it around less than one minute into the video! Maybe he was a bit mean, but he was genuinely apologetic when he thought he went too far.

It was nice that Sun was having a good day, joking and laughing. I mean, he was ACTUALLY laughing, not just wheezing or huffing a few times. I'm super proud of him. His problems and trauma aren't over, but he's still come a long way.

NOW FOR EARTH: I LOVE Earth's sense of humor. I love how hammy and silly she is, first was the whole "L-L-L-L-LUNAAAR~!" from the last laes lore episode, then today it was her "I have been learning PROOOGRAMMING!"

I wish I was half as confident as she is about putting the energy into the silliness. It's in my range of humor, and sometimes I can be hammy in front of others but I can also backtrack. I just get worried people think it's stupid instead of silly and that I'm being stupid. I just need people who I trust to really know me, I guess.

ANYWAY! BACK TO THE FUN STUFF!

I thought of a good nickname for Lunar: BLUEBERRY MOONCAKE!

If you don't know what a mooncake is... it's banned in several countries so that's understandable.

Finally Dazzle--sweet baby girl. She went from throwing a toy in Lunar's face because it was funny to offering to find that FREAKIN' DONUT THING, WHICH COULD'E BEEN LITERALLY ANYWHERE IN THAT WAREHOUSE-SIZED ROOM. She's definitely learning stuff from Sun, and he already trusts her enough to let her find it on her own. Yes he goes to help her at the end BUT YOU CAN'T DENY HOW CUTE THEIR BOND IS!

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but I’d like to post a little farewell to G5. I know it wasn’t a lot of people’s favorite, and it definitely had its fair share of flaws (I remember giggling with my partner when the first episode of MYM came out over how stiff the animation was!), but I loved it very much, and I hope maybe we can somehow see these characters again. I loved this cast very much, so I’m going to ramble a bit below this. For a quick TL;DR: I love these sillies a whole lot, and they will always hold a very special place in my heart :)

Misty in particular means SO much to me. I love her and the way she overcomes living with Opaline, especially because the other Mane 5 are just. So willing to give her space to come into her own and discover who she is in a way she’s comfortable with every time she’s uncomfortable. Found family Misty is everything to me as someone who grew up with a not-so-great family and sees her friends as her family. On that note, I also really like the way Sunny is portrayed to have PTSD symptoms after struggling with 2 villains (shoutout to Allura though, I wish we got a proper end to your story girl). I like it when shows acknowledge that going through crazy stuff often results in trauma. She has very obvious flashbacks in s1 ep68 and s2 ep7 of TYT, and she starts experiencing paranoia, having nightmares, and being hyper-vigilant, and it means so much to me that they bothered to show how living through those situations impacted her mental health.

Next, I think I wanna talk about Izzy! I know a lot of people see her as “the Pinkie Pie clone” (and, to be fair, she IS pretty similar), but I feel like she’s so much more than that. I love her having Violette as her own protégé, and how she’s always so excited to use her creativity to help others! It’s nice to see G5’s Mane 6 teach others their own “elements” much in the way that FiM’s Mane 6 acted as mentors to others. I’m also VERY glad they brought back rainbowified ponies, even if Izzy was the only one. She looks GREAT, and getting to see that they brought it back one last time for the final episode made me SO happy (I actually SQUEALED when I saw the thumbnail for episode 23!). I know that part isn’t really personality related, but it still makes me happy!

I’d also like to sing some praises about Hitch, too. Adding a male to the main cast was a rather bold move in my opinion, since the closest we’ve ever gotten to that is maybe Spike in any gen, Danny in G1, and maaaybe Teddy in MLP Tales? We’ve never really had a boy be part of the established main group, and oh boy was Hitch the perfect beginning for that! He’s such a goofball, and I love the sort of “awkward, cringey dad who loves his son very much” thing they did. Yes, he’s different from movie Hitch, but I always saw that as a side effect of now having a child to parent in the form of Sparky. A LOT of people’s personalities can change post-having kids, and I think it’s interesting that they made him like one of those parents who just wants to bubble wrap their kid and keep them safe. It’s pretty funny, since Sparky doesn’t exactly seem to mind or care. He reminds me a tiny bit of my own dad, and that’s something that means a lot to me.

The last two I want to talk about are, of course, Pipp and Zipp! As for Pipp, I honestly… wasn’t the biggest fan of her at first. I think I was just cranky because they added technology and social media to my Horse Show, LOL! Once I kind of got used to that, she grew on me. She grew on me BAD. I absolutely ADORE Pipp; she’s just the cutest! I love how they have her take accountability when she screws up, and I think it’s really important how she teaches kids that it’s okay to put the phone down for a while around seasons 4-5 of MYM, especially given how much tech plays a part in everyone’s lives these days. I think her having confidence and wanting to SHARE that confidence rather than bring others down is really admirable, and I love the approach they had when designing her character in intentionally making her shorter and rounder than the rest of the cast (most notable in TYT), but very specifically not having her be insecure about it. Touching on bodily insecurity is always great, but I also love seeing characters who look different where it’s just… okay. It’s accepted. I think that's pretty awesome!

Last but ABSOLUTELY not least is Zipp! She was my first favorite of G5 (they’re ALL my favorites now, I fear), and I’ve always thought it was so awesome how they had this royal character who was actively against corruption in power AND didn’t want to be treated as royalty! Having a character who’s heir to the throne and very blatantly… DOESN’T want to be/isn’t looking forward to it is something I feel like I haven’t seen a whole lot, and it’s a really interesting perspective to explore. I’m glad they did! I also love how her scenes in episode one of MYM can very much read almost as a trans allegory. I myself am not trans, but my partner and quite literally ALL of my friends are, so it’s still quite meaningful! Plus, I’m someone who chooses to not go by her birth name due to CPTSD, so, from all angles, seeing her wish to be referred to in ways that make HER comfortable and having that be respected gives me the fuzzies. I love her relationship with Pipp too, and I find their bond to be so heartwarming! Portrait of a Princess is one of my FAVORITE episodes of MYM, and it’s just so sweet to see how much they care for each other! Also, slightly less relevant, but them getting their cutie marks one right after the other on the same day was very cute. Very CMC of them. Very Mane 6 of them. Very cute, very demure, very mindful. I hope people still say that, LMAO

All in all, I know G5 had plot holes, ever-improving animation, and a lot of things fans were displeased over. Still, these characters mean something to me, and, even if their story got cut short, they’ll always still be my little ponies. I am back on my Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil nonsense and I have to say, no canon ship will ever hit me in the way that Kendall/Ronaldo did.

I am so incredibly in love with the vibe that is "Two absolute NERDS are head over heels for each other and go out of their way to do nice things for each other" - supporting each other in presentations, remembering each other's birthdays, arranging dinner for each other, covering for the other in front of the principal, gasping in horror when the other gets in trouble - "but as time passes, the viewer gets to watch the slow unraveling of one of them secretly falling out of love with the other but not being emotionally ready to admit it yet." That is incredible.

I adore the K/R ship because it lasted so long and it was never considered a big deal. It was just "Yeah, they're dating. They do dating people things. Literally no one is jealous of them and no one ruins their social life. Keep scrolling." It was mainly in the background and they were adorably obsessed with each other up until they weren't. And again, that was that. No explosive break-ups, they were just... sweethearts.

Ronaldo gushing over Kendall's Halloween presentation instead of going trick-or-treating is my everything. He adores her.

The "show, don't tell" between them with the way they behave is fantastic. Kendall went spelunking for cave sap so her boyfriend would have a nice birthday present AND she took him out to dinner. Ronaldo brings her "educational chocolates." He writes poems for her in binary code. He supports his girl during class elections even when she's frustrated and snippy with him.

He went to her Delaware Awareness Month party. He brought a sign that said "I've been to Dover." He came back for Poster Awareness Month. He's so supportive and she's so silly. Kendall's wild and she seems like she should be the "popular girl" trope but she is actually just a massive nerd who likes algebra and stocks and I love her.

I love Ronaldo hiding in a cabinet and Kendall spinning her wheels to distract the principal so he won't get busted for sneaking into the office. Ronaldo went out of his way to be nice to his rival and learn new skills so he could impress her. They're so good.

They are not even main characters and we still got scenes of them being adorable, as a treat. Kendall literally calls him "the dark one." That's hilarious. They lean together and whisper in the hallway like goofballs. Then they scamper off to hide in the AV closet with papers covered in doodles and poems, being romantic little NERDS!!

This scene's funny because they weren't even holding hands a few seconds ago- they just grabbed for each other when they realized they weren't alone. Apparently the canon is that they were a thing for a while before this episode and I think that's beautiful. Just... out there living their best off-screen lives. Love that for them.

imo we need more media that plays puppy love relationships with all the adorable sweetness of potentially being endgame even if they're NOT intended to be endgame. I'd like to see more kids' cartoons showing that it's okay to have a good time with someone else, and you don't have to grow up to marry the first person you dated... It's okay to consider your options... It's okay to date and have fun and explore your feelings and like people and then go your separate ways and not be endgame. I wish I had more of that.

I've binged Kick Buttowski multiple times- it's a good pick-me-up and it's one of my silly faves. I really like the character relationships in it. It's got a down-to-earth contemporary vibe despite being all about action. It has one of the truest "We really are best friends who support each other through everything" friendships I've ever seen. It's got pathetic noodle rich boy Gordie. It's got Mouth, king of the shopping mall after-hours. It's got Emo Kid who's... Emo Kid. It's got Brad and Brianna... It's got Ronaldo/Kendall... They're all hilarious.

It's got Kick learning to respect his identity as Clarence the caring big brother as much as his identity of Kick the daredevil. It's got Kick protecting Ronaldo for a week because Kick's his understudy who desperately does not want to be Romeo in the school play. It's got the line "Let's go down to Foreshadow Park! Somehow I knew we'd all end up there." It's got the bee of the month club sending free samples in the mail, when will I ever be this funny.

It's goofy and fun to watch and that's why it's this week's Recommendation Wednesday <3

stray kids as...my loved ones

author's note: it's been a while since i've posted and im not sure how how many new lovies have joined since i lowkey ghosted everyone! but in case you guys didn't know, i have the sweetest, silliest stay family (we all went to the stray kids concert together in melbs). and i feel like my love for them and their personalities really correspond to certain members, especially through our relationships. i've been wanting to make a post like this for a while and here it finally is! enjoy x

my mum as lee minho

like minho, my mum is quite introverted, but very giggly and talkative when she's with our family and her few close friends. she's selective about who she shows this side of her personality to, and it just makes it more special for those (like me) who get to see it daily

when watching the skz two kids room, mum said that jisung and minho's friendship is a lot like our relationship (SOBBING). whilst im loud and a certified yapper, my mum is still my quiet, safe space and a place where i can just calm myself down and lower my energy

we're also both on the adhd spectrum which i majorly see for them lols

she loves to cook, and acts of service are her way of showing her love. she grew up in a japanese household, and culturally you don't show as much affection, but she's learning. and im a major physical touch girlie, and ive seen her try to teach herself to love me that way. basically the best mum ever

oh, and she ADORES cats!

she's also lowkey like a mum of skz, kinda like minho is, but from a distance obvs. she treats them all like her sons, she has a picture of them on our fridge, photocard in her phone, listens to skz lofi whilst working. she supports them in every way and always gets so excited about their achievements.

essentially, she's a very calming, but at times chaotic presence, and im so lucky to have her. she's the perfect person to balance me out.

oh, and if i say my dad is the BIGGEST goofball?

he's so silly. unlike changbin he's actually super tall (muahaha) but changbin is def musclier. so.

anyway moral is they both lowkey look a little intimidating, but in reality they're absolute softies. babygirls, if you will.

like changbin, my dad is a major girl group stan. for his birthday last year, he literally bought us twice tickets and when i tell you he knew EVERY lyric! he also has a love for every girl group choreo ever, with a penchant for newjeans' hype boy (cough CHANGBIN)

again, above all, he's just a very sweet, silly guy. he's very dependable, and he and i will often work on house projects together, whether it be painting or building furniture or making him help me rearrange my bedroom. with twice blasting in the background, it's gonna get done and it's gonna get done WELL

he's very accepting and listens when i yap, or when im confused about things. him and mum have that balance of giving me very down to earth advice, but also silly jokes and comments

ALSO like a proud dad of skz. he adores them and gets so excited about their achievements.

my brother is lowkey the coolest and im actually jealous of him sometimes bc he's a major silly goose without putting in effort to be one and he somehow actually has a decent fashion sense for a 14 year old boy. okay king, dropped ur crown!

BUT like yenie, this boy can be sarcastic and jokey. we always try and smother him in physical affection and he ALWAYS teases us for it and goes "ew" (lowk seungmin core)

my sister as...lee felix

oh she's the sweetest. i wake up to little notes and paper crafts from her, and she LOVES to bake me sweet treats. i take her on little coffee dates to the cafe where i work, and my coworkers adore her. yes, she gets two extra marshmallows for free. sometimes a third. sometimes a cookie, too. they're whipped, and who wouldn't be?

she's also a gamer BAHAHAHA if you count dress to impress, and she's GOOD. even though she's legit only 10 herself, she tells those other basic 10 year olds who's boss. always on the podium, making her fashionista sister proud

she always just wants to spend time with people. she's like a cat, just follows you around. sometimes adorable, sometimes drives me crazy.

she also does the felix sees, felix does. she loves imitating my brother and i, whether it be our mannerisms or phrases. she saw our handshake and immediately wanted in. she heard us call each other silly names and asked us to make her one. she's the cutest.

Tournament

Okay, I didn't bring the guy first, like was planned, but I still took the leap of faith as recommended. So, after silent first year in the community I am ready to introduce the two young participants of the tournament.

Is she li'l or is he tall? Yes.

Although… Miss Gemma Charm needs no introduction. The youngest daughter of the Charm family, an ancient magical lineage, she is set to make her 16th birthday debut at this year's magical tournament.

Traits: Goofball, Art Lover (+Creative and Perfectionist with mod). Aspiration: Spellcraft & Sorcery (in this family she had no choice, to be honest). Skills: Charisma, Comedy, Logic, Mischief, Painting. Likes (in the game process): Pranks, painting, comedy, new age, argumentative sims, silly behavior. Dislikes: Fitness, egoistical sims.

Her mother Minerva Charm is a powerful and respected witch, her brother Darrell is a famous duelist, she herself has been reminded of who she is almost every day since childhood - all of this is definitely exerting some pressure on the young witch, especially now. Oh, the status obliges.

It's no wonder that behind her carefree facade, Gemma is secretly afraid of not living up to the high expectations of her family and the magical community.

And perhaps the big event would have been an equally grandiose nervous breakdown and she would have given up before it even began if it wasn’t for Glenn O'Malley.

Gemma's stubborn and unpredictable school friend simply stated: "It's dangerous to go alone, take this! And by “this”, I mean “me”. Eh, shut up, Gem, that's not a suggestion, but a declaration."

You might be a tough street guy, who dare not be teased for an old-fashioned name or anything else, but if your friend wants an one paired outfit for an important event and gain access to your face with her questionable makeup skills… okay then. But just one!

But who the hell is he and what happened?

To be honest, he wasn't even a spellcaster until recently: just a rather unpleasant person who, nonetheless, cared deeply for his small circle of people important to him.

And Glenn got used to the fact that usually in their duo, he was the always annoyed (and annoying) creature with a short temper, but not Gemma. And this time it was hard for him to say "okay, keep your little secrets."

Of course, his friend always had some weird secrets, but she never was so tense and blue because of it. And it was going on for a while, so…

He was smart enough to put together a certain number of details into a whole picture and crazy enough not to try and rationalize the strange result, but just to test the theory.

And a month before the tournament, he met Gemma in the magical dimension with the words "don't you want to tell me something at least now, girl?"

Does Glenn have decent magical skills? Not yet.

Does he have decent physical form and the ability to improvise and adapt skills from one area of ​​knowledge to an unrelated one, compensating for his lack of experience or tools, without worrying about how strange or contradictory it looks? Hell yes.

A guy with the behavior of a delinquent and dirty mouth of a sailor but the cultural background of artsy kid and vocabulary of a poet, he once applied his many years of dancing experience to the football field (also for another favorite person btw), developing unexpected tactics to deal with his opponents.

What will he come up with for magic? Who knows.

Anyway, now it's not so scary to be ashamed together, right? Maybe two Neophytes with a couple of entry-level spells, a pack of cheap cigarettes, creative brains and pockets full of love for shenanigans won't win, but now it's going to be a fun adventure.

(At least for them: this duo of unruly teens can’t vouch for those who meet on their way, oops).

Someone was asking about the kittens' personalities this week, so here's a very quick description of each kitten (you can take it as a given that each kitten is the most wonderful kitten ever, of course.) There are NO bonded pairs among this litter, everyone is good buddies with everyone else.

Kirk is Mr. Chill Dude - he's super nosy, wants to be in the middle of what you're doing, but you can do anything to him and he's just like "Okay, man." I've had to give him two baths in the past few weeks as he perfected his litterbox skills (which he has done), and both times he was perfectly fine, not a complaint out of him.

Spock is initially timid, but gets over it quickly; his Daddy must have been a Jumping Bean, because he will race and jump and skitter in every random direction. He is NUTS (in the best way.) In his own way he's as calm as Kirk is - I can pick him up, flip him over and he just shrugs and goes with it.

Janeway always greets me at the door and is so happy to see me. She has a super reactive tail that floofs at the slightest surprise or startle (JUST her tail). She is a silly little goofball, sweet, and loves to be kissed. She loves to jump on her siblings (and her mama) and wrestle (well, they all like to do that.)

Kes marches to the beat of her own drum and does things in her own time and her own way. She's everyone's best friend and will snuggle with whichever kitten is around. She tends to go off and snooze by herself, but is someone wants to join her, she is A-OK with that.

Troi is a sweet little chill girl with a very feisty side; I can pick her up and kiss her 1,000 times and she tolerates it with good cheer. She has no idea she's tiny - she will jump on her siblings, wipe the floor with them, and then stroll away smiling.
