Happy Little Accidents

I have now experienced the best happy little accident of my life. I started a Bullet Journal and for October I've been doing a Clooless Podcast theme (iykyk). Well, I accidentally drew the top of a Y in the wrong spot here in the days of the week somewhere:

But I turned them into folder tabs & now my mini theme for this month is file folders & each day looks like a little file folder & it strangely makes me so unbelievably happy.

Art Rant

My friend just sent me a graphic design contest that is happening locally & I fully intend to attempt a submission BUT they're allowing AI generated images as submissions... Can you imagine spending fucking hours on a piece digitally or traditionally only to lose to an AI generated image??? I think AI generated images are cool & all & they probably have plenty of good uses. Hell my wallpaper on my pc is AI generated. HOWEVER if that shit starts kicking actual artists to the curb I'm gonna fucking riot...

Mental Breakdowns Incoming

I feel like I should preface this by saying my family & I cope with humor... Anyways, here's a conversation I just had with my mom via family group message:

Me: *bitching & complaining bc I'm tired & overstimulated*

Mom: *sympathizes with her own bitching & complaining bc she is also tired & overstimulated*

~ gas meter guys come to move our meter so they don't have to go in the back yard where the dogs usually are. This caused the dogs to go nuts which worsened her overstimulation ~

Mom: Great, now the dogs are on high alert & barking at every little noise. I want my straight jacket in purple with sparkles please.

Me: lmaooooo can I get mine in black with metal studs??

Mom: Absolutely! I will go order those now.

Me: Forget nursing home, we're all gonna be in a psych ward one day.

Mom: Oh definitely!

We may or may not be on the verge of mental breakdowns but at least we're in this fuster cluck together 😂

One of the most frustrating things about ADHD is just the way that you absolutely cannot trust future you.

Like, I look at something and think "Oh, I'll deal with that later" like, no I won't. I absolutely won't. I should just do it now while I'm there. I should make plans to do something... Oh wait, will I have the energy to do that??? I was talking with a friend who told me I should come over for tea sometime, which I absolutely would love to do, but I said I was too tired. "Too tired for tea?" she asks. Like, no, I would love tea, but I'm too tired to know that I'll have the energy to get to the place and the only thing I hate worse than not doing things is being flaky on my friends.

My ADHD makes me feel like a squirrel that is cracked out on caffeine in a padded room surrounded by thousands of ping pong balls that are all bouncing around at mach speed. Sometimes, I'm sitting in the middle of the room, eyes darting around trying to decide which ping pong ball to chase and/or severely overwhelmed and about to explode. Others, I pick a ping pong ball & chase it for a while before inevitably getting distracted by a shinier ping pong ball & deciding to chase it instead.

I've had this running joke with my family lately that my 3 cats are prison inmates. My bedroom is their cell, I'm their warden, my family are the guards, & the livingroom & kitchen is the yard. This started bc I said that Sassy incites a riot (by scratching at my closed bedroom door) every evening at 9pm bc she wants out to roam the house while the dogs (who they aren't very fond of) are put up for the night (in Mom & Dad's room with the door shut).
