Jou's duel with Keith is really like... looking through a mirror darkly. They both use gambling cards. Keith is American, Jou is likely half (given his naturally blond hair). Keith at one point talks about being in such a dark place that you have to learn to enjoy being horrible just to survive it, and Jou was in a gang where he did the exact same thing.

Basically the duel is so interesting to me because Keith is kind of a What Could Have Been (negative) for Jou if he hadn't become friends with Yugi, and the parallels are delightful.

i see ya always talking on tags about moonie being a cute drunk. me and my dad listen to the who together and hes also been to one of their concerts when he was a teen. he has told me many times that moonie was one of the biggest drunkards he had known and that he managed very well even when he was drunk. what about ya? do ya know anyone who can drink as much as him? 😂

About the question, yes I do know, or rather I knew because she's passed away this year, but like even if I knew her only through tumblr and even when I knew how much of an alcoholic she was and how much she abused drugs, she was one the fucking best friends I could have. Literally, I had so much fun with this girl, we were talking every day just being stupid and like, I will miss that a lot, I will miss her a lot. Heck, there were days I've compared her drinking habits to Keith's ones and I even told her that I'm afraid she'll end up like him and what do you know, I was right about that - sadly, very sadly.

Anja will be remembered tho, I will not forget about her
