How it’s been going lately

One of the horrors I think would’ve been fun to see more of in tgwdlm is the Hive manipulating the human nature to join in on others singing. Because that is totally a thing. Now, you might not join in on a bunch of strangers singing in the streets, but would you mimic your friend singing a little ditty? Probably. Especially if you're a theatre kid.

I've been thinking about this lately because of, weirdly enough, minecraft. Specifically, Grian's fourth episode of secret life.

For anyone who doesn’t watch the show, here’s a brief summary: every person is given a randomly assigned task to complete each episode. Grian’s task caused him to sing everything he says. While many were bewildered, and some a bit disturbed... a significant chunk of people just started singing along with him!

Humans love to mirror behaviors to fit in socially. So it makes sense that when one person starts singing everything they say, a couple others would do so, despite being very confused. 

Anyway, I think it would be cool (and terrifying) if humans who choose to sing along with the Hive can be infected that way. Like, imagine your friend starts singing at you, and you're a bit confused, but what the hell, you sing right back. And then... you just never stop singing.
