Hello, firstly I love your blog. Secondly I need to give a shoutout to @kateofthecanals and @mcgani for their outstanding metapost on SanSan. It truly is one of the best posts for defending the ship, as well as debunking the tired, old misconceptions and theories. The fandom these days has been "interesting" to say the least and some content makes me want to distance myself from the ship sometimes. But this Guide just solidified my love and reminded me why I fell in love with this ship. Thankyou

The beauty of the fandom is that everyone is free to explore the ship in any way they prefer, and I support them all. So if we want different things from the fandom, we can contribute to it in our own unique ways too. 💜

I searched your blog but I can't find parts 12-14 of your SanSan megameta. Could you provide the links, please?

Well, that’s because (a) my blog’s search function is basically non-existent, but also (b) Amy and I never finished parts 12-14. :-( Sorry about that; hopefully one day it’ll be complete. I might just go ahead and finish it on my own, LOL.

And just fyi for anyone else who may be interested but don’t wanna slog through my crappily-formatted blog, the existing 11 parts of @mcgani‘s and my SanSan Mega Meta have all been lovingly archived by the wonderful @ladycyprus HERE!

This is why I don’t have a RedBubble anymore. Apparently just affiliating a fan work with the copyrighted material (such as in the title or tags) is enough to have your stuff flagged. Or, that’s what I came to assume, as the RB people were very intentionally tight-lipped and vague about precisely why/how my work was violating copyright laws.

It was a sad day when I found my account was suddenly suspended and all my fanart was suddenly considered infringement :c Ironically, my best-selling and most dubious piece was like the only thing they DIDN’T flag?? I don’t get it. I never will. But it really killed my love of making fandom-inspired T-Shirts/posters/etc., let me tell you!!

PS: sorry to rant on your post, this is beautiful art and I can’t believe it was considered copyright infringement, as it’s an original drawing….I’ll never understand where the damn line is when it comes to these things, I think.

Sorry to hear that your RedBubble account was shut down, mcgani, and so suddenly, too!  At least Society6 gave me a warning and assured me that my account was “still in good standing” (although, clearly, they didn’t really take a close look at the rest of my merchandise).  I have to wonder if all the other SanSan art on Society6 (of which there is a whole heckuva lot!) is going to be flagged, too.

And thank you so much for liking my art, but I have to (partially) disagree with you: yes, it’s an original drawing, but I cannot deny that the characters and their costumes are lifted straight from the HBO production of Game of Thrones, so... it’s a fair cop! ;-)

The story was strange because it was written in what felt like a humorous tone, but the further I got the more I was like “whoa this shit is serious this is not going where I thought it would go”

exactly! the narrator’s tone makes it hard to expect that the content will get dark - which is why i compare it to chuck palaniuk. i’ve read almost all his books and that’s exactly what he does. he gives you a quirky narrator who sounds like they could be setting up a romance or comedy, before they turn around and start abusing people. 

now you don’t know whether to trust the narrator, or shut the book and toss it across the room. almost all his protagonists are shitty people. or at least, they’re morally questionable.

that’s where “the zola story” sits in terms of its tone. it’s dark at best. i would also compare it to movies like shottas or city of god- criminal activity, violence, abuse, sabotage, and a narrator who is probably not much better than the other characters from an objective standpoint.

I’ll be honest though...I don’t see that much of a resemblance. Pilou Asbæk has incredibly round and soft features.

Like, I really don’t care that much about appearance. I’m all about acting talent over anything else. But I think it’s rather telling about their direction. We’ve already had softened Ramsay, you know?

1. Who’s the most important person in your life?

I think the most important person in my life is my mom. My dad and I are close, but I can confide in my mom and know everything I say stays between us.

I think mine is a leopard. I’m fierce, but I’m also very playful (with the right people).

3. Vampires or Werewolves?

Vampires. Most definitely.

4. The last book series you fell in love with?

Uh… I think it’s more falling in love with it again, since a new book is coming out in a few months, but The Dresden Files. I <3 Harry!

Marvel. Gotta love Stan the Man.

Uh… I’ve got 2 at my apartment that I sleep on, one I curl up around, two I use under my knees, and three personal pillows I made that are at the foot of my bed… That’s what, 8 pillows? Oy vey.

None at the moment. I’m too attracted to James Marsters. But then again, his wife Jasmin is REALLY REALLY gorgeous.
