Koron: A boy that inherited his father intellect, poise and quiet nature. Koron spends most of his days not speaking a word and throwing himself into a book. Because of this he struggles to make friends or even hold a conversation. He gets stressed easily, and has a hard time dealing with his anxiety, but as stated he's really smart and knows at least something about anything. 

Sam: Sam is a spicy kitten with a brave heart. He has a high pain tolerance, so he worried his parents (mainly Zane) to death. Most people mistake him for a werewolf rather than a mei'fwa because of how hardy and strong he is. He wears his hair just like his dad because of how much he idolizes him. 

Anna: Named after her grandmother she has a sweet gentle heart. However Sam and her are a bit of partners in crime when it comes to mischief. She's sweet and cute, but uses her miraculous magic powers for trickery and pranks with a bit of coercion from her brother. She's the most social and friendly of the trio and tries to make as many friends as she can wherever she goes.

More Shadow Knight/Nether stuffff

It is canon (stated by Laurence’s Wyvern) that a day in the Overworld is over two weeks in the Nether. Personally, i’m going to make that 2.5 for math purposes.

During the 15 years that Aphmau and others are in the Irene dimension, Vylad and others are in the Nether for 37.5 years. (including leap days if this world uses the same calendar as Earth) (btw it’s 13,695 days)

It is also cannon that Vylad is tortured for a large part of this time.

on to the head canon

The real reason Shadow Knights need to be immortal is because mortals won’t last long enough in the Nether to actually fight in that war that Shad wants.

Vylad is easily one of the strongest characters hands down

(ref to previous headcanons post) Sasha is the only known Shadow Knight to bond like her group to a human, Kenmur. it’s why she feels it when he dies in season 3 even though i don’t consider 3 canon at all.

The “bonds” are difficult for Shadow Knights to explain. they can’t read each others minds or tell each others emotions, but they have such a deep bond of loyalty and even love. going against their group is so physically and mentally painful. This is why Vylad meditates all the time even after perfecting his ability to go in and out of Shadow Knight form

Sasha’s love for potion making came when she was little and mixing together random things while her parents cooked. she apprenticed herself to Castor and learned, but advanced much further when she became a Shadow Knight

I can’t decide between mentorships or new Shadow Knights just being told to figure it out

had Kawaii-Chan been taken by Shadow Knights Shad would win obviously, her magicks are powerful and have very scary possibilities.

The other Divine Warrior’s names were actually forgotten over time because no one in Ru’an really cared about them. but in other regions it’s different

Nether creatures don’t really attack the Shadow Knights and actively work to protect them. Shad twisted the Nether’s power to aid them, if he dies there’s a chance the Nether could completely collapse.

When Vylad died he got a regular burial for a Lord’s son, despite not being his actual son. this is because it was not common knowledge, to Okhasis citizens, it was a rumor.

Vylad’s body went missing on the third morning after his death. it was kept a secret, a body going missing without a trace is pretty weird.

His body dissolved and then seeped into the ground through the cracks in the stone. his body then properly reappeared in the Nether so his transformation could continue.

that’s it for now i guess, i hope nothing contradicts the other stuff cause i don’t always think everything through right.

i think i’ll do a gen MCD headcanon list next

Prongsfoot Week 2024 - Day 1

When and Why did you begin to Ship Prongsfoot?  What makes you Ship it?  Basically, just gush on this ship.

I don't think I can give a date for when I started shipping Prongsfoot. I know the first time I bookmarked a fic with them as the main pairing was in 2020 and I had them as a background pairing in a fic I wrote in 2019, but I've shipped them for longer. I think it's just one of those ships that make sense to me, so it's always kind of been there. But I was mostly actively writing and reading in the lightning era for a long time, then added the next-gen era and it's really only in the past year I actively started engaging with the Marauders-era side of the HP fandom. So I guess when could be answered with both "since I realised shipping was a thing" and also "about one year ago" depending on how you see it.

I've always had a special place in my heart for the best friends to lovers trope, and Prongsfoot is everything I love about it. I love that they're brilliantly clever and use it to create chaos and joy around them. I love how far they go for their friends. I love how they (despite being privileged enough that they could have chosen to benefit from prejudices) decide to put their whole selves into fighting for what they know is right. I love that despite being so good they're also little shits who only really care about what the other thinks of them - and fuck the rest of the world. I love that they're codependent to a point where one doesn't function without the other and wouldn't want to even if they could. I love the idea of choosing your best friend. Of them realising they already have everything they want and making the choice to keep it. I love the soul-crushing angst when they don't choose each other, at least not only each other. I love the heartbreak and loss and desperate, aching longing of canon compliance and the joyful, wholesome and sweet potential of canon divergence and AU's.

I love that it's a pairing that has range from purely fluffy "oh I love him, and he loves me back" vibes to star-crossed, war-torn, broken-hearted, one-sided, MCD, hurt/no comfort angst. I love that canon gives them the most painful story of all and I love exploring that - and also giving them a happier story.

They're just – they're soulmates and they will always be soulmates no matter what relationship they have to express that. But there's something so special about them deciding to just make each other their everything; lover, best friend, family, husband, partners in mischief and business and in life.

I might just do a few fun fact asks cause I can't combine all of the topics that are on my mind.

Here is an MCD characterization specific one - Meif'wa edition

The reason why Meif'wa are more likely to go into customer service and hospitality jobs is due to their innate instinct that taking care of someone is a sign of control. Much like how cats view grooming other cats/animals as a sign of dominance, culturally, it is the same for Meif'wa. Think a Ru'aun human man visits a brothel and believes he is on top of the world while the meif'wa lady knows that she has the better end of the deal. It would also mean that unlike most cultures, customer service is viewed highly.

I also believe that magic can be influenced multiple ways by environmental factors, genetics, and belief systems in the MCD universe, so Nana having puppet magic stems from her cultural and innate belief system. Objectively, a magic that is born for the use of control while having many hospitality uses ie her maids. Control through hospitality caused magic that allowed her to both control and be hospitable.

Also, a lot of my world building is based on the feral cat colony that lives in the alley way behind my house that we have slowly been domesticating and getting adopted.

honestly tho thats so real. I've based so much stuff off of my cat being a dumbass. mostly Zenix stuff, because i love my cat.

But i really like this actually, this is very cool. I love meif'wa lore in general, because i feel like there's so much potential. One of the downfalls of Aphverse is they don't delve enough into different cultures or anything, they just... meh

But i really love the little bit about magic. A culture of treating people well would likely be really popular, because you don't want people to grow up to develop 'killing you painfully' magic as a product of their/their parent's environment/stress. And like, in MyS era, corporations would have to have a basic level of decency for how they handle their employees, so the next gen of magic users gain magic useful for producing goods for corporations, as opposed to magic useful for killing exploitative bosses. And family-run businesses would likely be a lot more appreciated, because genetically inherited magic would boost the quality of the product.

House of Memories (dpxdc, Dick/Danny)

This fic comes to my mind first. I think one of the reasons why I have a soft spot for this one, in particular, is because this is the first fic that I felt I truly succeeded in writing angst. My first MCD fic as well. And I remember I've always wanted to write AU Soulmates for so long and this was the result. Plus I love Dick and wanted to give him more attention. Bonus is that I haven't seen many dpxdc fics where it is set to Dick is Robin.

Legacy (dpxdc, Danny & Jason. Biodad!Jason)

I love Jason. And I also love the thought of exploring Father-Son relationship between Jason and Danny (I'm used to reading deaged Danny, but there's something cathartic writing when it's Danny as a teenager while Jason, in his mid30s, exasperated at his son. That's the dynamic I want to explore) No joke that I immensely enjoy writing about Jason feeling guilty of not being there for Danny (and not knowing he existed). Last I checked, the draft for the next chapter of Legacy is around 4k words (I just havent gotten around editing it). Plus it's set where Jason is Batman, a trope that is not much explored in the dpxdc.

Two of a Kind (dpxdc, Jason & Danny, Halfa!Jason)

I will always be grateful to Kaida for bringing this idea to life of Jason being the second Halfa. I love the idea of Danny having a trusted adult he can come to this time. There's so many I want to gush about this, especially Jason's complicated issues with Vlad. You'll find Jason in this fic interesting because he has different priorities while feeling guilty at the same time. Plus we get some flashbacks (*nods to Red Hood: Lost Days*). Plus I also ADORE where this fic is set to Post-Infinite Crisis.

Dynasty | Loving You Was Like Dancing without Music (ATLA, Sokka/Zukko)

I remember the intense research I did for this fic. I have a separate word doc of writing the history and Fire Nation "legal documents". Even got 3 docs of flashbacks for Sokha, Mai, and Zuko (overall wc: 5k). And the fic is inspired from my fav kdrama show at all times so that's one of the reasons why I enjoy writing this fic.

Danny the Intern (dpxdc, GEN)

Ngl, I debated back and forth with this one because I have mixed feelings about this fic nowadays, but I can never forget the intense planning and outline for this fic and the 2 months I spent writing the buffer chapters just so I could be ahead of this fic. Part of why I enjoy writing this fic is that it's a Case fic. A mystery going on that I'm excited to eventually reveal, which I've been keeping my mouth shut for 11 months now. Currently, ch 6-11 have an overall 13k words. If it goes according to plan, Danny the Intern fic will be updated either this halloween or next month (for the 1 yr anniversary of DtI)
