A photographic compilation of the playfully surreal photographs created by art director duo M/M (Paris), for Yohji Yamamoto in a collaboration that spanned several years in the late 1990s. Tasked with the realisation of the Japanese designer’s catalogues, and taking their cue from what they saw Yamamoto representing for the world of fashion they teamed up with photographers including Craig McDean, David Sims, Inez and Vinoodh and Paolo Roversi to translate the atmosphere of a collection into vibrant and unexpected new forms counteracting the flatness of runway photography.

THE ANDROMEDA BOOKS

Here's the first story introductions for my complete rewrite of Endless Summer. I've included very rough visualizations of what I would want the covers to look like, more to establish a tone for each book though. Let me know what kind of scenes you'd be interested in me posting. I won't be posting anything that ruins any of the twists though - more to show the change in the characters and the setting.

THE STORY CONCEPT

This rewrite is an exploration into the first timeline. Before Lo became The Endless and the timeline where all of the group presumably died. But what if that wasn't the full story? What if the origin story was more different than anyone ever really imagined? What change had come to the island throughout 1000 timelines? What happened in the five years Lo was in that pod and even more curiously, what happened after? Were the relationships between every character always the same? All these questions will be answered in this book.

BOOK 1 SYNOPSIS

A last hurrah on the mysterious island of La Huerta for a group of 12 young souls swiftly becomes odd when they arrive and everyone is gone. While some seek to know more, others still want to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. Conflicting perspectives and an island trapped in multiple stages of time. There may be other unknown forces at play. Meanwhile, Lo is having disturbing visions about elements of the island, the people around her and a constellation that could be her saving grace or her downfall. After an unexpected death rocks their defenses, they will all have no choice but to seek out the truth, while watching out for the shadow of the powerful owner with a plan, Everett Rourke. The real question is, will they be able to trust each other?

Some of the book's elements - Takes place before the five year time jump. The island is plagued by new mythological/technological creatures, as well as familiar ones. Main romance is Jake and Lo so Quinn, Estela and Sean will not be treated as love interests because I literally hate love triangles and would rather write one romance as the focus and explore other side romances and see what I can do with them. More backstory and main plot links for all characters. New lore for Lo (so she's not an alien). New island lore also. Unexpected dynamics and duos; for example, Estela and Michelle. Beware - character deaths.

BOOK 2 SYNOPSIS

As Lo wakes up from five years of being frozen in a pod, she has no memory of where or who she is. The first face she sees is one she recognizes but cannot remember. A man who saved her from her slumber. After escaping Rourke's facility, she's greeted by an island that had succumb to ruin. Her mind is taking her back to the events of the last five years, as she tries to find the people her former self gave everything for. What happened to them and who was still out there, in a world so close to its end?

CONCLUSION

Hope these are good introductions to what I have planned. I have a character specific one coming soon but I wanted to outline the concept of the stories before I did anything else. Please feel free to provide any feedback you have. I love knowing how I can make it better <3

Theodore and Craig went to that cave right? Yes, well. Part of the night was Theodore using a sea shell to carve something into some softer stone:

“Theo and Craig were here!”

It was a simple effort to try and keep the spirits high, and the shell became a lasting memento of it.

A memento that, when Theodore agreed to go with Vaanu, gave to Craig. It came as a surprise to Craig, actually

He didn’t expect anything from Theodore

And he didn’t think he’d keep it

Cut to college, nearing a year past Theodore’s departure, and Craig is staring at a printed copy of the La Huerta Team selfie

Then he remembers the shell, scrambling to find it in his closet

That night, he stares and stares at it as he lay in bed. His heart felt heavy yet heavy at the same time. He couldn’t explain or understand it; it just felt… it felt like he was missing something.

That night, he cried himself to sleep out of the sheer pain from the feeling.

Can you guess who knocks on his door the very next morning?

Guys, low-key...

Shipping a main ship with MC with a non-LI is getting to me hard. I always shipped my MC with a canon LI mainly (Solrin/Michael, Giselle/Andy, Kristabelle/Colt, Diva/Adrian, Dosha/Donovan, and etc etc...)

But the Endless Summer cast is very shippable with MC. Especially when you take into account that you can form great bonds with everyone if you chose to. Like, c'mon dude.

I went down the Endless Summer tag a minute ago and saw a Craig x MC fic. I also saw a post asking for Raj x MC. Like DUDE.

You know you made a cast for a series so good if the fans of said book can ship their MC with the non-LI characters because they're all so great and each has a unique dynamic with the MC.

“i’m not going to repeat it again.” she pointed her finger to both. “i. won’t. do. anything.”

“it’s just cookies.” sienna pouted sadly.

“much worse. they’re valentine’s cookies.”

“why do you have to be so annoyed?” imelda asked.

“i’m not annoyed.” klaw explained. “i just don’t like it.”

“fine leave the cookies. what about a gift?”

“absolutely not.”

“klaw c’mon,” imelda pleaded. “it’s a symbolic day and you should celebrate it.”

“yeah.”

“and you should do it especially for someone you love so much.”

“correction- you die.”

“and still you can’t change my mind. look,” klaw sighs. “i know you enjoy this day but i belong to that 1% of people that think valentine’s day is a stupid way to express your love to someone who means a lot to you. you have to show it everyday. even just a hug. even just a kiss. i mean these are the most beautiful and important little things that i want to live in my future. not red flowers. or cookies.” she pointed. “also he shares the same opinion and that’s fine for me.”

“you’re not a human.” sienna emphasised. “you’re an alien.”

“no, even aliens have heart. our girl doesn’t.” imelda added. “what are we going to do with you?”

“just spill me some tea on how your bed ceremonies will go.” she winked playfully and left the locker room.

“happy valentine’s day dr. grumpy.”

“that nickname is yours.” she grunted.

“still it suits you.”

“as long as i’m with you? yeah.”

he closed the file and took off his glasses. “what happened this time?”

“will you always read my face even when i don’t want to say a thing?”

“as long as i’m with you? yeah.” he repeated her words.

“sienna and imy are trying so hard to get me into valentine’s festivities but as usual i refuse.” she sat on the couch. “i simply hate it.”

“y’know… i’m starting to think that it’s not that bad as it sounds.”

“excuse moi monsieur [i’m sorry mister]?” klaw exclaimed. “did just a bryce, a baz, a simon or a dan came up from the sky and hit your head or what?”

“none of them have entered to my office today.” ethan assured. “no worries.”

“or maybe a naveen?”

“no. the thing is,” he walked slowly towards her. “sometimes it’s good to see couples trying to make this day as memorable as it is thought to be. there are lots of those who don’t have the time for each other because of work, kids or other reasons. the name is boring and i can totally agree with it. but if this is the only way to celebrate- i think it’s very beautiful.”

the more he talked the more her mouth stayed agape while trying to comprehend what in the hell was actually happening right now. no- that was definitely a dream.

“uhm… klaw?”

she blinked. “did you betray me?”

“what?”

“do you have someone else?”

“of course not!” he exclaimed. “what the fuck?”

“but who has changed you? we both shared the same opinions about this day and now you’re telling me something entirely else.” she shook her head. “you’ve gone through a sclerosis. i can see it.”

ethan laughed heartedly and hugged her while klaw was side-eyeing with a frown. “ha ha ha. very funny.”

he kissed her temple and added shortly. “maybe this person who has changed me made my heart thunder since the first time i laid eyes on her. she didn’t do anything though. no flirting, no provocative comments like any other girl could’ve done just to get under my skin. this one showed me only ambition, fierceness, competition against someone who was thought to be the coldest person on earth. was she afraid? absolutely not. the way she was determined to prove this man wrong- god you have no idea how torturous was for the latter to accept the fact that this woman was definitely not a rookie. she was, is and will always be the half that completes him.”

i don’t deserve this man god.

it wasn’t the first time this thought came into her mind. she always doubted that someone could love her character and keep up with all the time without getting tired. it was a miracle at the most unexpected place and time in her life. klaw kept the tears so she couldn’t spoil the perfect moment that was facing right now.

“you know that i suck at this thing called: complementing back so i’ll say a simple line,” she caressed slowly every inch of his face and whispered. “i love you ethan jonah ramsey with everything that is good and bad in you.”

he did the same aback after sharing a kiss. “i love you too klaudia helena craig with everything that is good and bad in you.”

“i should’ve done the cookies for this occasion though.” they both laughed.

“do you want me to have diabetes?” ethan said shockingly. “i’ve already eaten chocolates today because Tanaka insisted and that is enough for today.”

“hmm. i don’t know but this photo looked so good for another kind of treat though.” klaw opened her phone to reveal an explicit content that truly made his heartbeats rising and his eyes widened. then in a flash it was closed and his face revealed disappointment. “but since you said it’s enough i think we’ll be fine.”

ethan struggled to find the right words and klaw let out a content smile while getting up from the seat. not until she heard a deep voice. “where do you think you’re going?”

“at home.” she said innocently. “i have a lot of work to do.”

“can i give you a hand?” he took off quickly his white coat while reaching for the keys and jacket not wiping out his smug smile. “it’s better if you work together they say.”

“that would be great.”

I think I'll be doing these little doodles for each round Null is in. there's soooo many cool characters in this tournament, and I'm excited to see who Null goes up against next!
